First time trying these Lady M Cakes and I am in love!! My friend and I shared them and she thought they were very comparable to the ones that she had in Hong Kong. I wish this opened earlier! Everything else in Waikiki normally opens at 10am, but these guys open at 11am... maybe they'll see this review and consider opening earlier. We tried two flavors: the signature and the green tea. The green tea slice, though pretty, was drier in flavor. The signature was by far my favorite, with it being so light yet full of creamy goodness. I definitely could have a couple pieces of this if I really wanted to lol. Beware that these bad boys are expensive by the piece ($8.50-9.50 each). So if you are going to have a couple pieces, definitely consider getting a whole cake!! This is the best crepe cake in the world! Thank you for having one in Hawaii. If you haven't had these before I would highly recommend trying them. I love coming here because the guy that works here is always so friendly and the crepe cakes are to die for. In the beginning I didn't really care for it and that's because I was eating it wrong. Came for the Lady M green tea mille crepe cake . This is the real deal, guys! Fluffy, light, not overly sweet and completely decadent. I don't know why this tiny storefront isn't branded as Lady M on the awning, and instead appears to be a part of the adjacent store, WaikiKi Tea. No matter- this cake boutique that I have loved in NYC, Shanghai, and L.A.is now here (in limited inventory!) Seems like they only have enough room to display 5 cakes right now: original mille crepe, green tea mille crepe, cheesecake (gateau fromage), chocolate mousse (arc en ciel), and lilikoi mille crepe. Cakes to go are priced at a hefty $55+ for two diff sizes (6"; 9") but I would buy their cakes anytime as a treat for a special occasion. We ordered my perennial favorite, the green tea mille crepe, and also the lilikoi mille crepe. My companion loved the Lilikoi and stated he would buy it again for a family dinner in whole cake form, but I found the lilikoi to be a bit too sweet (I also don't like lilikoi flavors in general tho). And my green tea mille crepe was amazing as usual, with layers of thin fluffy crepe separated by wonderfully whipped green tea cream and matcha powder on the top. Server informed us that the slices are made from the 9" cake, which has 12 slices total. Don't mind the decadent prices and just come for the quality- every bit as quality controlled as the mainland branches- hope things stay that way! the ambience is very Japanese - like it was lifted out of Tokyo. This little shop has just 12 seats inside, plays awesome jazz, and has just a few cakes. Lilikoi, matcha, cheesecake. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this little gem while wandering around. It's small, quaint, cozy, and very good. I got a cold Matcha Latte and a slice of the Green Tea Mille Crêpes. I always love finding places like this while traveling, very peaceful and just the right distance from the crowds. There were plenty of options and I wish I could have tried several drinks! This cute place was such a treat to have desserts and refreshments. I was so impressed on how the desserts were perfectly presented on display. It was very difficult to choose only one! Not only that, I was educated on the fact that they were transported daily from New York and were made fresh every day. I ordered the matcha crepe and my friend ordered the signature crepe. I was really expecting on trying this place out while on vacation with my family but the man in the store was very rude and customer service was horrible. Also business hours stated the store closes at 8pm and he switched the sight to close 10 minutes early and told me it 8pm on his watch and refused to serve us. Instead of the ordinary 2 layers of cake split with cream, this cake has about 20-25 layers of crepe and cream. They have 3 flavors: signature, passion fruit, and green tea. As a green tea lover, I just had to try this one. It was a light flavor of green tea, with light and fluffy layers of crepe and cream. We also got a slice of passion fruit and the signature. The signature is their original, which is great on its own, or with a coffee. The passion fruit was also delicious, not too sweet, and super light. Also, they have a couple of parking stalls, about 6-7 or so, that they share with Punchbowl Coffee. Their crepe cake was "okay" and the atmosphere of the cafe cozy yet nice - but their service left a bad aftertaste to our experience. We went inside and went to the counter and told the guy what we wanted. He asked if we were going to eat here or if it's going to be a to go order. Told him it was to eat here. We sit down, we enjoy our crepes and drinks - and as we left the cafe, we have the guy (the same guy that took our money, gave us our change, and asked if we wanted a receipt - like, 20 minutes before this) following us out of the cafe and asking us to pay. Seriously?? The other person that was with me even said "We paid!" A lady came out of the cafe with him while all of this ridiculousness was happening. Was that the manager? Owner? So we tell them a few times that we paid already. The guy finally "remembers" ? and says "Ohhh yeah... yeah....! OK!" and smiles. Not funny - to be honest. You better be sure if you're going to ACCUSE a customer of not paying. How about "I'm sorry for treating you guys like a dine and dash suspect" ? It was so rude and inappropriate. There are only 3 or 4 tiny little tables inside - and only a couple of other customers sitting. How in the world can you not remember that we paid already in such a small little cafe? The person I was with was super annoyed by this. Why would we sit there, eat their food - and run out without paying? Do some of the tourists do this? The service and atmosphere here is absolutely lovely-- the workers are so friendly and polite. I actually came in the first time around just to take a peak at the store and the cakes, but didn't buy anything until I visited the second time around a couple days later, and the girl at the register remembered me! I got the lilikoi mille crepe cake (FYI these are Lady M cakes!) as well as the passion fruit cheesecake, and a jasmine tea to go. The cakes were creamy, soft and delicious-- everything you'd want from yummy desserts. The mille crepe cake definitely had a more pronounced passion fruit flavor, so that ended up being the favorite. The cheesecake wasn't any less good but the flavor was definitely more faint! The crust was even and crispy, although it tasted like it might've had coconut so I'd check on that in case you don't like/ are allergic to coconut. The jasmine tea was good but I do wish that it was brewed just a bit longer-- that's just personal preference though since I like a stronger tea flavor. Pricing is a bit up there (a small slice of cake is typically $8-$9 and a cup of the tea to go was $4.50) but for the quality and service you're getting, I think it's well worth it. read more

I used to go LadyM in NY at Upper east location. But this place is far more "charming and elegant!!!" The staff have Hawaiian aloha hospitality and very welcoming! The selections are nice. They have more crepe cakes than NY locations. I had hot tea with my mother(beautiful loose leaf tea) and it was such a relaxing time in Waikiki while we are on vacation. I am a mega fan of Lady M. I've eaten their cakes in New York as well as Hong Kong. Both of those are exceptional. So imagine my surprise and disappointment when I sampled the cakes here and found them to be a different texture. I can't quite put my finger on it but it just isn't the same. Warmer or perhaps just not as solid as I'm used to. The result of being flown in? I thought I read that they were making them locally but another reviewer said they were flown in. Who knows? Despite the cakes being inferior to their NYC locations, I will return when I have a craving for mille feuille cakes. It's better than nothing abd better than other local bakers' attempts at a crepe cake. Pro tip: the creator of these cakes recommends eating the slices layer by layer. It does really add a lightness to each bite and the slice lasts longer! Take your fork and grab the tip of the top layer of the triangle and start rolling with your fork. It's great! read more

The place is small so during a time of COVID, I'm not sure why they allow people inside without their mask on. I waited outside because I was trying to buy a cake for my moms birthday, so was being extra careful. Had it before it was okay but pricey, my mom likes it. There was a lady with no mask on by the counter then was sitting on a table by the door, where there is no way there could be 6 feet distance. So frustrating.
