I like hole-in-the-wall places, but I'm not a fan of this hole-in-the-wall.  Sure it's cute, but the charm pretty much disappeared when the staff cut THE smallest slice of mille crepe cake I've ever seen - not just once, but twice (on two separate occasions). While the cake tasted fine, I found it to be underwhelming and there simply wasn't enough of it to actually enjoy. This seems to be the only place on the island to get the coveted LadyM mille crepe cake (which I already think is overhyped), but again, if I'm going to pay $9 for a slice of cake I'd like a decent/reasonably sized cake, please.  If you really MUST get one, you're probably better off buying a whole cake (for the price) or going to a whole other bakery altogether. **The store itself has a couple of parking stalls and some indoor & outdoor seating (although I'm not sure what their COVID protocols are at the moment). read more

I'm a HUUUUUUUUGE fan of Lady M crepe cake. The only store I've had it prior is at the location in West LA, and it's quite phenomenal. To this day, no crepe cake can beat Lady M. This location is tiny, and luckily I was able to sit with no lines on a weekday. I ordered the original, which is my favorite between the green tea, strawberry, and chocolate (that I had tried in LA prior). The passion fruit is a twist, and we got that as well. I loved it, but if I am not crazy, the creme layers for my original were thicker than usual, which slightly threw off the balance in flavor and texture when cutting in and biting into the cake. Hence, my 4.5 stars. If I lived in Hawaii, I'd for sure go back when I'm in the mood for some crepe cake. I hope they move to a more central, bigger location, because business will be OUT OF CONTROL. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by in the afternoon to finally try the crepe cake by Lady M. We had tried stopping by one instance before but they had been closed. Matcha crepe cake - absolutely stunning and delicious. The layers were perfect and flavor was on point. $9 a slice is a bit much so it was an indulgence and will be reserved for as a splurge. They also have other flavors such as passion fruit, coconut, red velvet, and plain. The staff was super friendly to people coming in and out. There's cute little tables inside and a little round table outside. If you eat in then you can order while seated (to go you order at the counter). We stayed and chatted after we had paid the bill and the staff was still attentive and filled our water. A super cute place, will definitely come again when the occasion presents itself, or when I'm craving something delicate. read more

Waikiki Tea bring the top desert at this romantic location, originated from New York (then Los Angeles, and other parts of the world). They usually get some unique flavors (e.g. passion fruit, earl grey and etc) which don't always appear in Los Angeles stores. The texture is as good as how we had it in mainland. Don't be fooled this is not a boba shop (which I initially thought). I've been driving past this place and wondered what treasures they will sell. The location is on beach walk right next to Henry's (or where all the food trucks used to be). There is supposedly free parking in their lot but it always looks full. Luckily I work nearby so it's just a minute down the elevator for me. Lol. So they sell cakes by the slices for roughly 9$ each or you can splurge on an entire cake for 80$++ I honestly wanted to get more than one slice but I had to think about my dinner too! Lol I opted for the original which is probably the safest bet for me. The taste is unique as it is smooth and creamy but with a slight crunch to it? I can't explain it. Pleasant, courteous service. The manager/owner even stored the Royce chocolates we bought there for us while we had our cakes, so they wouldn't melt. I chose the signature crepe cake, and my girlfriend got the chestnut. She chose that one because it was seasonal. We were told that it would be rotating out next month to be most likely replaced by an Earl Grey cake. Going to come by again and try a different flavor. Of course, I liked my girlfriend's chestnut cake better than my signature. She always knows what to get. I think for me I need a taste that pops. The signature had a more subtle taste. Cute little cafe near Halekulani and the Embassy Suites hotel. I had read an article a long time ago about this place and finally had the chance to go. I had the Lady M matcha cake and a plantation ice tea. The cake was very decadent and light. It was so delicious. I am sad to say that it did not live up to my expectations. $55 for a 6" cake is definitely on the higher side and because of that I expect a freshly made cake. Could be that they aren't turning over those 6" cakes as quickly as their slices, so you might be better off going w just a slice. ** I highly suggest if you want a full cake- to ask the attendant if the cake was made that morning. The texture of the crepes was much chewier than normal, so my guess is that this was a leftover cake from the day before. Not that fluffy airy consistency that I had last remembered or how others describe in the reviews. Being open till 9PM everyday during Corona Quarantine, this place is very convenient. I got a signiture mille crepe for my first piece. I wanted to try lilikoi flavor but when I found that they has earl grey mille creps, I could not resist it. They are $9 a piece, which is a little too pricey but they are good. The signiture is a must try...so simple yet creamy, not too sweet and decadant. The earl grey was more on the heavy side, still good but did not really taste earl grey that much. They have nice customer service and I wish I had a chance ro have a cup of tea and a mille crepe at Waikiki tea, instead of eating the cakes out of box in my hotel room. read more

Such a cute little shop! We were looking for something different for desert the other night while hanging out in Waikiki and found this place. The owner(?) was very kind and attentive. We were pleased with our order and really enjoyed this unique treat. We had the original and one passion fruit flavor. We shared two slices with four people and felt satisfied. We would be having takeout for dinner our last night in Oahu. After picking up our dinner on our way back to the hotel, I saw Waikiki Tea which I had been interested in visiting. At almost $10 a slice for the Mille crepes, it is pricey but my daughter who bakes pointed out that it takes a lot of work to make these mille crepes. She said consider the multiple layers of crepes. The 2 girls picked out the passion fruit featured in The Oprah Magazine, the fresh blueberry, and the matcha. Daughter also got an oolong tea when the melon fruit tea was unavailable. The gentleman helping us also introduced us to Royce' Chocolate in particular the nama chocolate. We already had chocolate from another store melt on us and even though we were sorely tempted to purchase a box because we had chocoholics with us we thought we better not. Daughter loves anything Sakura and would have most likely gotten the Nama Sakura fromage, although the Nama fruit bar chocolate was also calling to her. There was also another limited edition with whiskey in it. We did like the passion fruit flavor. Our second favorite was the matcha. It was not bitter and was very creamy. The fresh blueberry was good, too. My sister enjoyed trying every slice we brought over. This little store is right across the street from the front end of the embassy suites and can be easily missed. It is adjoined with another store. My husband and I were killing time the other day and just seeing what was in the neighborhood. We were intrigued by the tea sign and had to check it out. Waikiki tea serves a bunch of fresh brewed loose leaf teas which my husband and I just adore- once you try these kind of teas the regular tea bags become so dull. The employee/ owner just had talked a little about his teas with us and then we left. We came back the next day wanting a tea and the same guy was working and even remembered us. My husband first wanted to go with a mint tea but they were out and the guy told us the last batch wasn't the best so he hadn't bought more but told us if we'd come back tomorrow he can have more for us which was sweet. My husband ended up going with a hibiscus tea and it was good. I myself decided to go with a matcha latte, I liked it. The only thing is I think my husband could have used a little sugar but we didn't even think about asking that was our fault. May I suggest you come here on a full stomach, because if you come here hungry, you'll want to order everything you see beautifully displayed in the display case, and at $9 a slice, that's gonna cost ya. You might balk at the price, but 1) it's Waikiki, and 2) it's so worth it! According to the friendly employee working this evening, the "signature" crepe cake is their best seller, but my son took one look at the display case and immediately said "I want to try the checkered one", so I bought one of those to-go and he practically ate the entire slice for breakfast the next morning. He let me have a sliver, and it was amazing, even though it was technically at least a day old! The teas very tasty and soothing after a nice dinner and the passion fruit crepe cake was tasty as well. It was a bit tarty and not too sweet with great texture and tasted very fresh. Family was staying at the Breakers Hotel so we decided to take a stroll and cane upon this cute little cafe. They featured LadyM cakes and coffee. So it's famous for their Mille Crepe which is like a cake but is made of many -i think the guy said 20 something -layers of crepe to form a super light, elegant cake. We tried a piece of the passion fruit one- oh my! So light, not overly sweet so the passion fruit flavor really shone through. There were also other cakes like a chocolate raspberry ganache- sooo tempting. Ordered an orange flavored got chocolate to go with it. Had to spend the weekend in Waikiki for a 2 day meeting for work. We got free time for a dinner on Saturday. As we were walking behind our hotel, we saw a line of Japanese tourist at an hole in wall. They were eating some kind of sorbet... but that wasn't what we were drawn to.. we were looking at the sign, LADY M! We had this in NYC and it was absolutely delish! We were so happy to have this in Hawaii and we saved some room for dessert that night. We walked in and noticed that this place was so clean and white. They have a picture of Lady M on the wall to make it more lady M like Lol. Because the place is small they have a limited amount of tables. They also have some outside seating which is nice. The drinks are average prices for Lady m about $$9 each. I got the coconut crepe cake and lilikoi crepe cake. Both were good but I like the lilikoi one better. The cakes has a very good amount of crepe to cream ratio. Not too much cream unlike other places. Service was good! The workers were all very nice and attentive. Cakes range from $8-$10 and drinks are $4-$8. The slice is quite small especially for what you're paying for but quality right? The flavor was creamy and light. Since my recent obsession with Lady M cakes, I've now single handedly kept the dental economy afloat. Lady M is known for their mille crepe cakes, although they do sell other sweets. Every single layer is so delicate yet discernible and the creme adds just the right amount of sweetness and flavour without being overbearing. I've tried the original, matcha, and lilikoi cakes. While they are all delicious, my favorite would have to be the original, with the lilikoi a close second. It's located in Waikiki (yep, I heard half of you sigh already) down Beach Walk. If you know where Arancini and Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin is, it's just across the street. It's a tiny, unassuming place. The main store is called Waikiki Tea but they have a standing sign outside advertising the delicious Lady M cakes.
