I can not say enough about these people and the food. At a charity golf tournament today for a woman with breast cancer, Wake Up staff (4 people!) came and provided a REMARKABLE lobster wonton as a donation to the cause, expecting nothing in return. A very, very small (5X7) placard with their restaurant name barely advertised their participation. Over 100 people were fed with their big hearts. The dish that they served was Michelin quality, their energy was humble and grateful for being able to participate in this island cause. I had never met these people before today. My hope is that you flock to experience their exquisite cuisine and kind hearts! read more

When a guy I met on the island asked me if I wanted to enjoy a Wake Up breakfast with him, I thought he was getting fresh. Didn't realize it was the name of this cute little cafe. The girls behind the counter greeted me like an old friend and were happy to amend my French Toast order to half an order. I took it to Hanalei Bay, just up the road, for breakfast on the beach. Thick Brioche fried and smothered in cinnamon and sugar, drizzled with melted caramel sauce and homemade whipped cream. You have to try it but get the bacon, too. Smokey and it balanced out all the sugar of the French Toast. I enjoyed every crazy-delicious bite. read more

The coffee is excellent! I ordered an iced americano coffee and hubby ordered a mocha. They were both yummy and very good. I like the Mocha because it wasn't sweet and had a good flavor. We also tried the pork breakfast burrito, which was flavorful and tasty. The burrito is big, we split it and was quite filling. The service is outstanding and the staff is friendly. read more

I had the Iced Dirty Coconut Chai drink and it was the worst drink I've ever had. I'm usually pretty tolerant and like to try new drinks. This dirty drink ended up in the trash after a few sips. Would not recommend and am disappointed that I spent $7 and started my day without my caffeine fix. read more

Not knowing this ahead of time I ordered the full order of churro French toast. The portion was four very large pieces of very thick toast. Dipped one deep fried then coated in cinnamon and sugar. We tried to eat here, showed up at 7:30am. The sign said open, Yelp said they were open, the front door was open... The lady behind the counter said they didn't open until 8am. We went for a walk around Hanalei, as we'd gotten food orders from the family and didn't mind waiting until 8am. I came back and tried to place our order. Nothing my family had requested was on the menu for this particular day. I'm not sure if the lady behind the counter was having a bad day, but she was anything but friendly. A little frazzled after everything I had tried to order and think of what my family might like instead, I asked for a sandwich with bacon (that already included bacon). The lady behind the counter snapped back that it already came with bacon. I couldn't complete my order and let her know we would go somewhere else. Maybe the food (that's on the menu that particular day) is good, but I couldn't get past the service at the counter. read more

Came 2 days in a row. The servers are so friendly. Coffee is great. I like dirty chai. They made the best. Not too sweat and well balance. The garlic shrimps is unimaginable good!!! It is prawns not small shrimps. Very fresh. The sauce it the best. Keep dipping my rice in it to soak up the sauce. Best sauce I ever had. Thanks!!!! read more

The coffee here is excellent and the espresso even better. They do a vegan cold brew that's Mac nut simple syrup and coconut milk named the Fuzzy Nut which is absolutely genius and delicious. Customer service is great and they're open 7 days a week from 7am to 12pm. Consistency like that is a bit of a rare commodity in Hanalei.
