Waldo Café is a cozy, friendly spot with great food and quick service. The menu has plenty of tasty breakfast and lunch options, and everything feels fresh and homemade. The staff is welcoming and makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. It's the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. We shared a biscuit and gravy meal that came with hashbrowns two eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. We added a bowl of fruit and this was the perfect amount of food for the two of us especially when they bring out your complimentary cinnamon roll before the meal.

Best breakfast/brunch I've had in over 25 years. The way that food made me feel I haven't felt that much happiness in quite some time. The service and food was top notch. My wife loved the dinner feel and the free cinnamon rolls

Here we have a wonderful Cafe family owned. We walked in, open available seating chairs and booths and bar seating. Immediately greeted and seated. Madison was our server and very attentive with menus, drinks on top of refills and orders. Place is very clean, clean restrooms, atmosphere is very quiet/ average with lovely history news paper dividers, decorative table with ads. No kids menu, or crayons... not worthy of knocking off a star because the interactions with our awesome waitress Madison. Onto the food! We're greeted with a beautiful complimentary Cinnamon rolls home made, served warm! Delicious Portions are generous and enough to share or have leftovers. Kitchen sink scramble and it was packed with flavor from the meats with a nice biscuit home made. Pulled pork eggs Benedicts also generous portion, with pulled pork.. sweet, juicy and tender. Coleslaw was crisp and fresh on top of english muffin. Eggs cooked perfectly with the sauce added a nice touch to cut the sweet meat. Our kiddos just had Pancakes and French toast which is pretty standard not memorable but no need to knock off any stars. We're from out of town, so this was a great little breakfast place to enjoy before we take off towards the airport. Any locals in sure would enjoy this place and what it offers as well as the out of town folks. Enjoy!

We recently went here for breakfast. First, just a need old fashion restaurant. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. Place has a lot of seating. They start you out with a complementary fresh made cinnamon roll. I apologize for not getting a picture. They are excellent. Just the right amount of icing and cinnamon. My wife got the Denver omelet with potatoes and an English muffin. She said it was the best Denver omelet she has had. It was a lot of food. I got the breakfast platter: eggs, sausage and instead of potatoes and bread I opted for the French toast. As you can tell from the picture I started eating before I snapped the picture. Everything was delicious. A good hardy breakfast at very reasonable prices. Everything I look for when I go out for breakfast. I can't wait to go back and try them for lunch. They have a very big menu.

The City Diner is outstanding! They definitely have their locals and regular customers, but we're also welcoming to us as first timers. Our waitress was jovial and courteous, and answered all of our silly questions. My wife had a half order of biscuits and gravy. I had a double cheeseburger, which was enormous. Those patties are no joke. I would get a single next time. Thankfully, it did not come with fries or tots as that would've been entirely too much food. I could hardly finish it, and I was ravenous. We want to come back and try other things here. It will not take a long time before we return. My wife loved her biscuits and gravy, and she is from the south. The biscuits were pillowy, soft and flaky. We have found our divvy diner that we love. The City Diner opened in 1937. One taste of their food and you'll know why they've been around almost 90 years.

The options are endless (seriously, you'd have to stay all day to try everything), but that's the fun of it--trying a little of everything. The mini waffles were the highlight: fresh, soft, and fluffy with a cranberry sauce that was chef's kiss. Plus, the cutest little individual syrups. Crispy bacon, made-to-order eggs, and flavorful breakfast potatoes with peppers were all on point. They also go way beyond breakfast--fried chicken, mac and cheese, fresh fruit, salads, shrimp with cocktail sauce, and tons of desserts. And being inside Union Station makes it even better. It's beautiful, spacious, and open, with high ceilings that make it feel like you're not even in the Midwest. Come hungry--you'll want to try it all.

Union Station is absolutely beautiful and worth stopping in to see if you've never been there! We knew we were going to visit the station and looked up restaurants to see if anything looked good. Harvey's menu caught our eyes, with its southern flare, and luckily didn't require reservations. My grandmother, Aunt, and myself were all seated quickly, and our waitress asked for and brought us our drinks out super fast. The restaurant was a little loud seeing as how it's inside of a train station full of people! With that being said, I've been in louder restaurants and this wasn't that bad. I ordered Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles with a cup of Gumbo, my Aunt ordered the Gourmet Grilled Cheese with Sweet Potato Fries, and my grandma ordered a Prime Rib French dip. We all shared hot pimento cheese dip. First of all that cheese dip was to die for. I've only ever had cold pimento cheese and was not a fan... obviously it's because hot pimento cheese is the way to go!!! My Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles was amazing. I think the waffle batter needed a little salt, but otherwise it was perfect. The gumbo was a little spicy and packed with flavor... just the way I like it!! My grandma's French dip thankfully on soft bread for her to eat, and the meat was sliced thin enough for her to chew. My auntie ordered the gourmet grilled cheese, and that thing was on firrreeee!! Her sweet potato fries came with a side of marshmallow fluff that had cinnamon in it, she was literally scraping the cup of that clean! We noticed they have a breakfast buffet on the weekends and one coming up for Mother's Day, that we might make reservations for!!! The food was fantastic and we seriously can't wait to go back for more.

The star of the show is their legendary pork tenderloin sandwich, don't do pork you could get it in chicken or fish version!! . It's huge, perfectly breaded, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor in every bite. But here's the secret: you have to get it fully loaded. The pickles, onions, tomatoes , and that famous house hot sauce take it to a whole different level. That hot sauce is pure magic -- tangy, spicy, and the perfect kick that ties the whole sandwich together. Every bite is messy in the best possible way, and honestly that's how you know it's done right. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you stop mid-bite and just appreciate how good it is.
