GO TO LITERALLY ANY OTHER PHARMACY. After they denied my requests for an early pick up for convenience (which I am 100% entitled to as I only requested to pick it up the day before because I couldn't get to the pharmacy the next day) I was told by the pharmacy to come to pick up this prescription at 12:01am and it would be ready. I even called hours before to verify that it was ready. So when I arrived at 12:01am not only was it not ready for pick up, but the pharmacist did not even have it counted. I had to ask for an update multiple times; and she kept saying she had to do other things and it was only her. I waited in the drive-thru until 12:52am. The furthest thing from convenient especially from a 24-hour pharmacy. The staff is extremely condescending and rude. A pharmacy "tech" not only laughed at my frustration but told me that I couldn't count? How professional. I am a health care provider and I have never experienced such an unpleasant staff. I work with pharmacies for my own patients and I have never dealt with anyone as awful as this staff. I lack so much confidence in their staff now I even felt like it was necessary to check the bottles and the number of pills inside. This is the worst pharmacy to go to, they are always short of staff. It takes so much longer to come to this pharmacy and wait in their lines than any other place I've ever been to try to avoid this pharmacy at all cost. If there is a problem with someone picking up their medication, they could have them moved to the side while they have one person researching and help the ten others that have to wait 30 to 40 minutes in a line. Pharmacy only the staff at this Walgreens checkout wise and normal shopping help are kind nice and great however the pharmacy moves at a absolute crawl to simply get a vaccine this is insane I got here at 12:00 and it's now 12:45 I still have not received a vaccine. Was told to fill out there consent form twice get back in line and wait another amount of time. They need to figure out how to speed up and move faster. This is insane. Wait time on phone was 20 minutes, woman who answered phone at 11:30 pm was exceptionally rude. Said they didn't have RX that had been ordered 14 days earlier because they didn't have enough to fill the entire 90 day supply. Called tonight to check on it because it will run out in 4 days, first she said they had to order it, I said it had been ordered, then she said they would have to call Dr. I said Dr. had already refilled it, then she said they could fill it w/ generic, I said I need brand name because generic on this one makes me to sleepy, she said they only had generic.........She then said I should go to a different Wallgreens and put me on hold..... basically blank off. They just say whatever to get you off the phone, if that doesn't work they hang up on you. It's scary that this pharmacy is allowed to deal with critical medications. read more

Called in today to find out what was happening with my prescription and what was holding up the processing. I asked the lady from the pharmacy what her name was and she wouldn't give it so I don't know who I spoke to however it was obvious that English wasn't her first language and her accent sounded Asian. There was a problem with the insurance and when asked what company was on record she stated what it was but it was wrong. When I told her that we needed to update the information she wasn't interested in doing the work and then just noted the prescription as "not covered by insurance". I am done with this location and have moved my business to another business that is interested in having customers and can actually give customer service. read more

She always greets you with a smile and has just the right amount of conversation. I shop at this store several times a week and when I see Karen at the cashier stand I know it's a good day. Time for an update. Stopped by today for some quick stuff for a travel trip. Kathleen was working- one of my favs. So helpful and remembered me by name. She is always happy, friendly and quick with checking you out! She is knowledgeable and can tell you right where to find what you need. Love this crew team!! Came here for my Covid shots. The set up was pretty easy and the wait time was short once you filled out the questionnaire. Making a reservation through the on-line system was OK... There didn't seem to be much flexibility in wiggling the second shot a few days earlier or later that exactly 4 weeks, so I had to schedule both shots for the same day of the week, but it worked out. read more

This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. The lines are always long, the service is terrible, and it doesn't seem like anything is ever being done. Their drinks are never stocked in the cooler. If you try to call this location they never answer and when they do they don't have an idea of what you're looking for. HORRIBLE customer service. I called the pharmacy today to see if they had a medication in stock because my local CVS was out. When I called, the man I spoke with rudely told me that he couldn't fill my prescription if I was a CVS customer and told me to go back to CVS and have them order my medication for me. I needed the medication today, which is why I had called, otherwise yes, I would have placed an order with CVS. I have been a customer of other Walgreens and have had medication filled there in the past, so I am in their system. ***(Huntington Beach) *** I've been bouncing around to different Walgreens all night. The first time the ER and I miscommunicated. My electronic prescription went to the wrong Walgreens on Westminster in the city of Westminster. After waiting about two hours the prescription never arrived and the pharmacist was nice enough to call back to inform me. I called back to the ER to have them re-send the prescription to this location on Beach and Slater. This location is great because the pharmacy is opened 24 hours! When you have an emergency or you need a prescription filled after normal business hours, this place will do it. I thought one thing was funny... After I made my prescription pick-up and purchase I waited for the cashier to bag up my goods. Ooops... I totally forgot I'm in Huntington Beach. You have to BYOB (bring your own bag) or get chaged 10 cents to purchase a paper bag :-) Pretty cool, but I often forget. My four stars instead of three is for the added convenience of the pharmacy being opened 24 hours a day. read more

I have got my prescriptions here for years. They used to be great! But over the last couple of years, their customer service has gone way down!!! They are still polite and friendly, but they take forever and 2 days to get anything done! Tonight, I've been in the drive through for 20 minutes so far, and the only reason the line has moved is because 2 cars left without getting their meds!!! Apparently I should have come and checked out the stellar reviews before I sent my prescription here. I'm not surprised at all to see how terrible their rating is. I have had my birth control prescription here for at least a year, and every single time that I attempt to come in and pick it up, it is the biggest nightmare ever. It doesn't matter if you go inside or go through the drive-thru, it's a minimum of a 20-30 minute wait every single time. Typically, there is only one or maybe two people in front of me, but it still manages to take them a good 30 minutes to help people. I don't know if they're understaffed, or they just hire incompetent people, but this place is the worst and I highly recommend you send your prescription elsewhere. read more

Beware if you go to this Walgreen on the corner of Beach and Slater In Huntington Beach. Count your pills once you get home or even better in the store. If you deal with this pharmacist by the name Christy, make sure you question everyone because she is a major liar and will lie to you about both having your meds in stock even though they are in stock. I will file a complaint with corporate and the BBB on Monday. Christy is unethical, a liar and she is racial and someone like her should not be working in a pharmacy where she lies to people and delays them from getting their meds.
