AMAZING customer service! I came here after 3 stops at CVS for passport pictures that all failed. Their photography center employee was super helpful plus bilingual! He was speedy in taking my 18 mo picture he commented it would take like 30 minutes which was no problem ( technology takes it time) he ended up not taking long at all! This location's pharmacy is a complete mess and gets worse year after year. They're always "training" someone new, aka leaving them to fend for themselves with upset customers and questions they couldn't possibly be prepared for yet. They'll finally fill and check you out for 1 of your prescriptions and seemingly instantly forget you have another one even though you just told them. There is frequently different pharmacists that are trying their hardest to keep up but there is just too much to do. Their lunch is 1:30 to 2 but be prepared for them to stop working on stuff and filling and checking out with excuses by 12:45 saying they can't help you until after. Nearly every other time we get a message that we can pick something up and we get there, wait in the long lines and poof it's not actually ready and we have to wait or come back or send it somewhere else entirely anyway. We've recently switched to HEB and will never be back even though it's much closer to our home. read more

The only reason I'm giving this review one star is because I can't give it zero. I tried this Walgreens several months ago because HEB pharmacy in Hutto was so busy that it was a pain to go there for my family's meds. Every single time I have gone to pick up meds at this Walgreens, there has been some sort of problem. This last time was the absolute last straw. After waiting in line at the drive-through for 45 minutes four days ago, after checking the app and being told that my prescription was ready, I was told at the window that my medicine was "on order and would be available for pick up the following day." Next day I was told it was out of stock and they'd order it. Today (try #3) I sent my husband to pick up the script, because I'm sick. He called me just now to let me know that the prescription STILL is not ready, despite the app stating a AGAIN that it was. At this point, I have to suspect they're giving my prescriptions to someone else. The icing on the cake??? They went ahead and ran the script through my insurance because I got a text from my insurance while my husband was at the window, telling me that my script had been picked up...That equates to insurance fraud! I intend to pursue this to the fullest extent possible. My first call after writing this will be to my insurance carrier, then the second to the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. read more

10/29/2025. I experienced racist sarcasm from the Walgreens pharmacy in Hutto. I called for a refill of my prescription. The person answered and i told her what I needed, and then she put me on hold for at least 3 minutes. Another person answered and addressed me with mocking asian remarks. I can tell it's not the same person I was speaking to. This Walgreens in Hutto deserves zero stars. I have never used a pharmacy like this before. The people working there are more than RUDE they are MALICIOUS. Out of spite the employees have held my prescriptions and it has taken days to get them. They find whatever excuse to do so and have no problem impacting a persons medication cadence and health for that matter. No joke- it is unbelievable what is allowed there by mgmt. They have the WORST employees. How is this behavior allowed when people rely on their medication and it's so important? It is consistently that way there, with rude employees. This Walgreens needs to fire these people and get professionals that understand their important role in providing medication and know how to be kind. It is absolutely awful. Set aside a half hour to 45 minutes if you have to use this pharmacy no matter if you use the drive thru or walk inside. Poor management has the pharmacy understaffed. The staff is nice but you can tell they are overworked to the point that they are blunt at times. Pray that your prescription is ready on time and if it's not don't expect a call or a message. If you call you might get through and they will say that the prescription is there when it's not. Overall this place is lucky it got a 1 star. New management is needed that knows how to run a pharmacy. read more

What do I think about this location? Convenient, aisles are clean and organized. People are friendly. Be sure to sign up for the Balanced Rewards to get discounts on products and earn points for rewards. I haven't used the pharmacy at this location. It's just so convenient to come here for snacks, gifts, gift cards and birthday cards. The pharmacy at this Walgreens is not only horrible and terribly rude, but totally unethical. This pharmacy team should be assessed for fraud and misuse of medication. Count your pills if you do pick up medication from this pharmacy. I am not a paranoid person, but can speak this as fact- I was supposed to receive a 60 pill supply but only received 50. When I tried to call about it and discussed it with a team member at this pharmacy, I literally heard her whispering about it and laughter in the background like it was funny. She denied it and I was out 10 pills. Just like that, this pharmacy impacted my health and I had to go back to my doctor explaining why I needed more. This is no joke nor something to laugh about. When I tried speaking to a different team member, she claimed to be the manager - she was very rude and did nothing. I cannot over state this- do not use this pharmacy. If someone else has had this happen to them too- please write a review so maybe someday, a Walgreens LEADER or compliance/fraud person will do something about it. So I called my insurance and everything was fine. So I called back and the lady said that I still didn't have insurance and hung up on me. I've experienced multiple issues over the years with this store and tonight they didn't fail to disappoint again. Dr submitted antibiotics prescription to this walgreens. I arrived 40 min later and they inform me they haven't received it but it can take up to an hour to receive. I get home and check.. still not received. I call nurse at Dr office. she called Walgreens to confirm they didn't receive and the nurse resubmitted. now it over an hour later, they still haven't received it and they close in 20 minutes. I always have a problem getting my prescriptions delivered. The commercial state delivery within an hour and that has never happened. And when you call the store and they don't wanna mess with you they just put you on hold until the system hangs up. The pharmacist that I've dealt with have been very kind. However, it takes FOREVER to get your prescription. If you're in a hurry, do not stop by. Each time I arrive.. I'm waiting in the drive thru for about 20 - 30mins. I even tried to go inside once, when they mistakenly forgot 1 out of 2 of my prescriptions. Big mistake... I waited in line for about the same amount time LOL. I used to go to the Walgreens in Round Rock (Louis henna) or even in North Austin off of Braker Ln. They were always quick and easy! So not sure what's going on at this one but man... please speed it up! At this point, I may switch to the other locations for pick up - even though it's a bit further out of the way. The pharmacy is horrible. They have had a prescription for days and it still hasn't need filled. I called and a gentleman said they weee out but he has ordered some and to call back tomorrow. The thing I like about Walgreens is the convenient location. It doesn't matter where you live, where you are coming from or where you are going, there is almost always a Walgreens on the way, and often you don't even need to make a left turn to get there. I also like the selection. The location is very convenient, but you have a bit more options than a typical "convenience store" and the prices are typically better as well. The thing I don't like so much about Walgreens is the store layout--where is the bread? The toothbrushes? I find myself wandering often when searching for anything not directly visible from the front. I'm also not a fan of their policy lately of requiring the track-your-every-move card in order to get a sale price on items. I was checking out and wanted to get some sale prices, so I forked over my precious personal information, except I found the clerk already had access to it... she was just confirming what Walgreens already knew about me. Since I've gotten a prescription filled at a (different location) Walgreens, the Hutto Walgreens knew my home address, phone number and my real date of birth (which not even my Facebook friends know, because there I lie about my DOB). Living in Hutto, I go to this Walgreens probably way more than I should, but it saves me from Wal-Mart and that is worth the higher prices paid here. As far as Walgreens go, this one is just fine in that they are usually stocked and there isn't much of a wait in line. Marissa, who is usually working in cosmetics, is super helpful and goes out of her way to make sure you are getting the best deals available. That being said, my complaints here are you really need to keep an eye on what prices are posted and what your items ring up at. I can't tell you how many times I get someone other than Marissa and the 2/$2 Delish Electrolyte waters ring up for $1.50/ea. The other gripe I have is they always seem to randomly have things obstructing the aisles at the busiest time of day...I don't know what the deal is with this? Seriously, there have been huge stock carts just sitting in the main aisle way or just a mop and a bucket sitting in an aisle or just an overfilled cart sitting in the middle of an aisle...all of which are unattended...?!! But, I get my Walgreens rewards and when they have their cosmetics sales, you can get some really good deals. So I guess I just need to continue to fend my way through their aisle-obstacle labyrinth and be content that Hutto even has a Walgreens. Sidenote: They have two Redbox Kiosks and for reasons I have yet to uncover, 3 electric car charging stations in the parking lot (I have yet to see an electric on any street in Hutto), but hey, it's the thought that counts! read more

This place is HORRIBLE! I've been living in Hutto for over a year now, and have had nothing but BAD EXPERIENCE and BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE from the pharmacy staff here! Tonight I waited 4 hours to get a call from the pharmacy for my prescriptions that were called in FOUR HOURS BEFORE I had to call. The guy who answered pulled me up and says "Oh yes, you're two prescriptions are here and ready to go". I go AS IS, in my pajamas and slippers since I'm in a lot of pain, and low and behold big sign on the drive thru saying "come inside, drive thru down". I was fuming when I had to go inside dressed like this (and the guy on the phone didn't tell me) so when I get up to the cashier, I told her nicely, she might want to tell the staff about the drive thru being down for customers calling in, and she was RUDE and turned around and said "There's a big sign on the window". I told her "I SAID I CALLED TWO MINUTES AGO, and the guy should have told me that so I didn't have to tromp in in my pajamas and slippers and embarrass myself!" No apology, no nothing, just an attitude which I get every time I go to this pharmacy. I'm DONE and transferring everything! I've seen them close and not help people when they were in line well before closing, so just because they're slow they refuse to help people. Corporate doesn't care either. If I could give a negative rating I would. Do not ever use Walgreens! Especially this location. I am ashamed to know there are others out there working in my field (pharmacy/medical) whom work with such low standards. Especially the pharmacist, and pharmacy manager at that, as they took an oath upon graduation which states the exact opposite of the work they provided in this situation. This is a horrible company and/or this location and employees are a horrible representation of the brand. The pharmacy employees could care less of their patients and do nothing more than input data and spit out the prescription. They seem deceptive in what information they tell you, almost as if being lied to. In fact, the lead pharmacist (PIC) chuckled at my family member when she was questioning their pricing practice and lack of customer service. And received the same treatment from other staff as they were at the store three times trying to get help with this issue. A family member had surgery and needed common post-surgery medications. They do not have prescription insurance and use discount cards. This was unknown to the other family member picking up the medication. One of the drugs, a common generic anti-nausea medication came to about $101. They did little to help or suggest this could be cheaper or mention this price seemed high. The family member paid as they felt they had no other choice due to the circumstance. Once they left, they called me as I work in the industry. This medication cost about 20cents per pill so about $2.00 in cost for this prescription. I gave her information for another discount card that is heavily used by others in the industry. It is always accurate in the price given on the website vs what is charged to the customer. They at first refused to try and rebill but after much communication between me and her, they tried the new discount info. Well guess what, it came out more. A total lie. They wanted to now charge $102 Vs the $18.54 the website listed. They also claimed they had zero ability to look online as they didn't have internet access for such. Again, very much doubt this as we need to google and look up information all of the time in our industry. read more

Really appreciated the way the pharmacy staff went above and beyond to get my son an expensive medication at a low cost. At the suggestion of a GoodRx employee, we transferred the prescription here after Costco quoted us over $300 -- Walgreens had a coupon that would lower the price to about half. After the prescription was transferred, the Walgreens pharmacist noticed they had a manufacturer's deal for a different brand of the medication and called my son's doctor to see if they could substitute. It took about a day to get everything lined up, but we walked out with the medication and a $0 copay. Big help to our family! I have used Walgreens for the last ten years I have lived here in Hutto. Today that changed. I went to the Dr. sick well they called in two prescriptions, before my boyfriend went and picked them up. I called up there to ask how much they were and the gentleman I talked to told me that they were $4.90 per prescription. When my boyfriend got home I looked at the receipt and he paid 70.00. I called back up there and the lady said that one of the prescriptions was going through as my boyfriend was in the drive through. Which is a lie because I went to the doctor at 1:30 and got a notification that my prescriptions were ready from Walgreens. Then the pharmacist gets on the phone and was stating that they told my boyfriend to come back because the prescription wasn't ready, which is also a lie because my boyfriend said that they never said that and that they went and grabbed them and came right back to the window.
