I have been to a million Walgreens locations, and this one isn't too bad. I have been to many that are a LOT worse. It is a larger building, and has a lot more options than some of the other locations. Also, the employees here were more helpful than at some other locations I've been to. Still, their coupon app system is so confusing and staff never know how to use it, so I can't give four stars. read more

Pharmacy at this location is a complete mess. No matter if you call in or go there they seem to always manage to skrew up in some way. One of the pharmasist are ok but majority of staff doesn't seem to know what they're doing most of the time. Make sure to ALWAYS double & triple check that they fill correct prescription & make sure to check that you got correct items before leaving location as mistakes are bound to happen. This "repair" is quite telling about the overall state of things. read more

Completely unacceptable. The automated recording for this specific store says that the pharmacy is closed on Sundays for lunch between 1:30pm and 2:00pm. That's not the case -- it's actually 1:00pm - 2:00pm. I told the manager that they need to have the time changed in the automated recording -- I made a special trip for an Rx and don't have the luxury of waiting 45 minutes until they reopen. The response was: The sign by the pharmacy says the right hours. Are you kidding?!?! If I'm already IN the store, it's a moot point. I very calmly and nicely explained my point (there were two other pharmacy customers who were also unhappy and incorrect hours) to the man. He said "I don't know what to tell you." Guess what? Quite possibly the worst pharmacy. They used to be super friendly and on top of everything. Now they are angry, never smile, never say hello, never say thank you. Sometimes I get a call my prescription is ready sometimes I don't. A lot of times things aren't in stock and have to be ordered. Getting my last prescription now and heading to another pharmacy. Before I had Danielle help me sort out my medications I would have given 2 stars to Walgreen's. I am partially disabled and walking to Walgreen's with my dog is a bimonthly goal of mine. It's unclear why the "s" was later added (or why there's no apostrophe between the "n" and "s," e.g. "Walgreen's"). =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ I didn't even realize this Walgreens had opened until I found myself searching for one on Yelp. A friend had just had a baby, and had asked me to stop by a Walgreens to pick up some infant formula for her. Lo and behold, in this very busy segment of Lincoln Blvd., I discovered a brand-new Walgreens. It's sort of awkwardly located, and the parking lot is an odd orientation with weird little parking spots. But the interior of the store is very clean (and was empty on this particular Sunday morning). And the staff wasn't plentiful, but they were helpful. You can't have too many drug stores in my opinion. Happy to have Walgreens join the plethora of other drug stores in SaMo! read more

Most important positive note: the pharmacy staff here are very nice and helpful. Most important negative note: this has got to be the worst parking lot I have ever experienced. Due to the combination of oddly (and inconsistently) sized spots, an impressively poor layout, and the general busy nature of the location, this parking lot can be a real headache. When I first came to this Walgreens, I thought it was odd to see uber drivers waiting for people to run in and out of the store. Now I understand - these people have experienced the nightmare of this parking lot, and have lost so much patience that they've turned to ubering to Walgreens. To put it simply, sure, come to this Walgreens. I'd just recommend coming early or dropping a couple quarters to park on the street. read more

Usually I don't write reviews, but I waste so much time every time I have to stay in line in there it's getting ridiculous. I wouldn't go here if it wasn't the closest pharmacy to my home. Actually, I might drive to other pharmacies on Lincoln from now on. This place is terrible. Every time I come I say I am never going to return. It's close to my house and somehow I always get sucked back in. In addition to long lines, they offer bad attitudes. Never a kind word. They never apologize for the wait, never apologize if something is delayed or unavailable. The entire time you're waiting the phone is ringing off the hook constantly. Their web page and Google claimed that you could walk in for a Covid booster, no appointment necessary. I immediately went in and was given a run around and told I needed an appointment. I explained that the website and Google info just ten minutes prior had claimed that an appointment wasn't necessary but the lady working at the pharmacy desk was very "so what?" about that. There was absolutely no one waiting for a shot and the Google info had been updated six minutes prior to my arriving. I told them they should keep their info accurate and she bluntly told me to "call corporate". I called corporate and couldn't speak to a live human being. This store is clean, well-stocked and has some friendly employees but parking is awful and as has been noted before, the pharmacy is full of people who seem to take delight in brushing you off or making you wait. read more

PHOTO DEPARTMENT ONLY** I wish I liked this Photo Department but it is a mess. I have gone there more than ten times and every single time I have had issues with my photos not being done even after receiving an email saying they were printed. This last time was the worst, hence the review, my order did not appear in store even though I got an email that it was being processed, and after contacting costumer service and being told I could print my pictures in store I walked over there only to be told rudely the printer was out of paper. Save yourself the trouble there is a CVS right down the street! read more

Nice new Walgreens! Clean and the staff is friendly. Nothing too crazy and different about this one to any others. But they do carry brown mascara and blonde bobby pins which I was excited about. Also have some decent summer hats for cheap! Which I loved and swooped up for gardening. read more

I was very happy to find this place just when I needed it most. I was suffering from some sinus issues and I needed some antihistamine and decongestant. This is the strangest Walgreens I have ever been in. The floor plan is like "U" shape, it's basically 2 stores connected by a hallway. After I found the cold and pain relief section things went downhill. Stupid Meth-addicts for causing psudeoephedrine to not be available "over the counter" Stupid government for making a laws designed to prevent people from cooking meth Stupid Walgreens for obeying stupid laws Long story short: Even though Walgreens is open late (or 24hours in some cases) you cant get decent decongestants after the pharmacy closes. read more

Worse customer service ever!! I order invitation cards online and when I went to pick them up I got an attitude because the mgr was going on break. Then I had to beg for the envelopes- I mean isn't that a given that invitation cards come with envelopes. Then they couldn't find the right size so they told me I am suppose to cut off the bottom portion of each card to make it fit. Apparently this location doesn't have a full staff photo area so the customer doesn't get the full service they paid for. Now I am sitting here trying to trim all these invitation cards with a 2yr old pulling at my leg. Unbelievable!!!! Last time I shop there. Just gonna stick to shutterfly!!!! Nice store (it's new), great location (by my hkuse), but would it kill them to put together some sort of phone training? I stopped off to make some prints and was given a receipt. Called two hours later to find the status and the woman answered the phone 'yo whaddup?' Now if I'm addressing a friend that's perfectly acceptable but a business? 'Walgreens Santa Monica, how can I help you' may be more appropriate. The woman proceeded to inform me the photos only take two seconds to print. So... they're ready? Nope. She's going to do them now. Stop back into the store, go to the register to pick up my prints and was told that I need to print them myself! So what the hell was the woman on the phone doing?!? At the end of the day it is what it is, but my god, what a piss poor experience. read more

Okay so I couldn't find the location I usually go to (10767 W Pico Blvd), but I am always so impressed with Walgreens. They greet when you come in, the store is streamlined and easy to find what you are looking for, and the pharmacy is always so professional no matter how many people are waiting. Keep it up! I'll update this if..... 1. Call the store and ask 3 different people, after waiting about 4-5 minutes between each employee picking up the same call after putting me on hold. Never the same person. So, I ask the same question. "Do you have so and so......". 2. Finally, the last employee, a female, comes back and says "no, we don't have it...". Ok great. Meanwhile, the 2 dudes before never got back on the line. I go online and check the "locate at a store....". So, supposedly, this store has 6-9 in stock of what I was looking for... I'll check tomorrow and verify. UPDATE: YES, when I went into the store, they had more than a few. The night-time employees and their unwillingness to actually work are a great argument against minimum wage hikes. read more

Clean likable store. Horrific service. Lady at front of line had two coupons. Could use one. Took 20 minutes for the clerk to figure out how to clear the two extra bottles of shampoo. No other clerk available to serve other customers. Ridiculous, horrible service. Doubt I will be back. Thank goodness Costco has a pharmacy Honestly, probably not the clerk's fault. I read some negative reviews about this Walgreens, but I must say I had a very pleasant experience. I needed some deodorant, and they had a terrific selection, including my preferred brand. I love this walgreens! The pharmacy on Wilshire takes forever, and they never have your stuff ready even when you get an email saying it's done! This pharmacy is soo much better, the pharmacist knows me by name, and I have never waited more than 5 minutes to pick something up, whereas before I have waited up to an hour on Wilshire. The store itself is really clean, and well organized, I have run into slow cashiers so I stick with the pharmacist. The only negative thing i have is that a cashier once told me i couldn't purchase my body wash and shampoo through the regular line, that I'd have to walk to the cosmetic cashier 15 feet away... I told the guy he was crazy and to scan my stuff or I was leaving. read more

The pharmacy here is DANGEROUS! They have made serious mistakes on my prescriptions TWICE in the past 2 months. Once they gave my daughter half the dose of an antibiotic, which would not have helped her. That one I caught, and they offered me $5. As if that helped. Now they gave me a double dose, which I didn't realize and has given me dizzy spells for weeks, and my doctor says this was bad for my liver! They don't even have a correct record of what they gave me. I am furious. read more

Went here on 6/1/18 turned in a script. The pharmacist told me to sit down and wait that she had to check if they had the meds in stock. 30 mins later she told me they were in stock and then she said it would be a 2 hour wait. There were no people in line. I expressed that she could've told me they were that backed before she had me wait 30 mins just to hear it would be another 2 hours and she got an attitude with me. I asked if there were any way it could be done faster and the assistant motioned to me "yes" that she could get it done. The pharmacist then got further attitude and snipped "I make the decisions here it will be 2 hours." Very unprofessional. I've been going here for 7 years. Will not be coming back read more

The pharmacy is SO slow. They gave me an ETA of 30 minutes for my flu meds to be ready.... 3+ hours later they are still "making them." Pretty sure you just need to print the label and stick it on the Tamiflu box. Also, no one answers their phone (tried multiple times). It just rings and then hangs up. It's very frustrating when you're extremely sick and just need medicine to help get you on the mend! read more

I ordered photos on-line through the Walgreens website and chose my nearest Walgreens to pick them up in 1hr. When I arrived I was told that the paper had run out and they were waiting on a delivery that wasn't scheduled until Wednesday (it was a Monday) I expressed my disappoint and the clerk called his manager. Anika came and saved the day, she saw that my photo order was very small and said she just might have enough paper to fulfill the order right then. She went the extra mile to make sure I left with the photos I had ordered. She could have told me to come back Wednesday or sent the order to another location but she did everything in her power to print the photos and save the day. Anika is my hero today and one of the best managers I have met in a long time. She showed care, professionalism and calm. She handled the situation and satisfied the customer. I am so thankful to be able to complete wedding album for our friends. read more

why oh why isn't there a ZERO stars rating when you need one? i can't tell you the number of times this pharmacy has screwed up. on one medication, i asked if there were any specific instructions and they were too busy to let me know anything. after waiting some 20 minutes to speak to the pharmacist, i left. i found out when i went to refill it at another pirvately owned pharmacy, that it couldn't be taken with my vitamins or any dairy or it would be ineffective. the pharmacist there was floored when i told her that i hadn't been told these specific instructions that went with this medication when i first got it. it was right on their bottle of pills...but not on walgreens'. just one of the many reasons no one should be going to this walgreens. not to mention that they act like they are doing you a big favor. it's incredibly poorly managed. since my career was spent managing a chain of 176 stores in 17 states...it's unfathomable to me, that this incompetence is allowed to continue. i'm partly to blame for not taking the time to move to a smaller family owned pharmacy. mccarthy drugs..see you soon. read more

When she scanned the item, I was disappointed that it more expensive than the ticket price on the display wall. Apparently it was marked incorrectly. This review is for the pharmacy inside the Walgreens. This is far and away the worst pharmacy I have ever come across hands down. I've been to a pharmacy in a 3rd world country that ran smoother and more efficiently than this one. None of the employees know anything about their basic job duty's. Nothing! Literally! I waited over 4 hours for one prescription. At the end of those 4 hours they told me they could not give me my meds. Updated review , I have since change pharmacies since I last wrote my last review. When I called into my new pharmacy , about the same time I get a call from Walgreens (automated) my auto refill was ready. My other pharmacy couldn't fill it until I cancel the other one. Mind you I hadn't used Walgreens for a few months by this time. And all meds were already transferred over. Something fishy there. They really need to fix things there. Attempted to make a quick stop in this morning to pick up a couple cosmetic items. Why is it that the corporate owned chain drugstores seem to consistently hire the most sluggish, obese, bitter people with a noticeable victim mentality? As I'm waiting in line for the cashier - I see three employees behind the counter. I try to catch the eye of one who appears to be walking towards the second cash register - I'm waiting for her to signal me to meet her there. But then she just looks at me and walks slowly away leaving me to continue waiting in line. Once I reach the one cashier who is open - I place my items for purchase on the counter and the cashier utters a robotic 'Hello' while I'm reading something. Apparently I made her upset that I didn't return her robotic "Hello" promptly so she utters a second even more robotic "Hello". She's scanned my 2 items and I'm waiting for the total - but apparently that's too much to ask for ... I tell her I'm ready to check out and now she's frowning and starts complaining that I didn't respond to her "Hello" ! ! Wake up service workers! - Customers are not coming to the store to chit chat with you and appease your wounded ego! Walgreens won't be getting any of my family's money with this kind of attitude. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. After they sat on my refill request for 5 days, I called the pharmacy. The first person who answered had extremely low energy and no desire to help me. She just wanted to get off the phone. Like I was bothering her. I explained I'd received a message 5 days before saying the pharmacy was working through an insurance issue with my refill. She looked it up and said, "Yeah, looks like we need to contact the insurance company about this." Again - 5 days after I called it in! And only then after I called and brought it to their attention. Unbelievable. I responded I needed the refill in 3 days to take it to my son, who's in a camp in Utah. She replied, in a very insolent tone, "You could just pay for it." So, let me get this straight. You don't do your job and you want me to pay over $100?! That speaks volumes. I asked to speak to her supervisor. I had to explain the entire situation to her. She didn't apologize, just said they'd contact the insurance company and let me know. I repeated I needed the refill in 3 days and asked if there was anything she could do besides make the request and wait like, for example, ask the insurance company to rush it. She just repeated her previous answer word for word. At 5:20p the next day, I called to check on the status of my refill. The lead pharmacist answered. I again explained my situation. She told me her computer was running slow and asked if I could wait. I said sure. I was on hold for 20 minutes. Then, someone from another department picked up the call and asked what I needed. I had to repeat my situation again. The woman responded, "Well what would you like me to do? The pharmacist is giving a flu shot. Want me to have her call you back?" I blew a gasket. I called the store manager, who was very nice. He said he would transfer me to the lead pharmacist. He did. And I was on hold for 40 minutes! During that time, I got an automated call from Walgreens saying my refill was delayed due to an insurance issue. The same message I'd received 6 days before. Clearly, rather than pick up the phone and talk to me, the lead pharmacist tried to take the easy way out by prompting and automated voicemail message (which did not answer my most pressing question - would I be able to get my prescription filled before I left town?). I called the pharmacy again and it rang for 5 minutes. No one answered. I called the main number and asked to speak to the store manager. Twice. Both times I was put on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. Finally, the lead pharmacist called my home number (even though all of my calls had been from my cell, which was also the number I left in my messages). Once again trying to take the easy way out and avoid talking to me. I was at home so I answered. She was very surprised I picked up. Rather than explain what was going on with my refill, she told me Walgreens would no longer fill my prescriptions. Unbelievable. Now my son will be without his anxiety meds for at least 3 days. Thanks Walgreens! Way to have a heart. This place is worse than the DMV and the post office combined. If you want to deal with people who hate their jobs and resent their customers, go here! read more

The pharmacist & their staff have been amazing! Our health insurance changed & we lost our specialty pharmacy , having a chronic illness it's hard to get certain medications, they were a life saver !
