Worst pharmacy I have been to in ten years! I was on the phone for 45 minutes to then be rudely answered. He said they didn't have my prescription but it's because he didn't check messages!! Last night around 10pm I got here to pick up my prescription By myself . As I'm walking in I notice a group of men sitting outside. They appeared to be homeless. I just continue to walk in then one of the men yells out AYEEE to me to get my attention. I ignore him. I walk into the store not realizing this man has now followed me into the store. I walk through the store to the pharmacy. Purchased my prescription. Still not realize he is following me. He then sat in the chair waiting for me to finish. I try to walk away. He is getting closer tries to tap me. I turned around and it was clear he was under the influence of something. One of the people behind the pharmacy counter notice I didn't know him. He then asked me if I needed assistant walking to my car. He so kindly walked with me to my car (where the man had now been waiting for me) The gentlemen who worked at worked at Walgreens waited till I got into my car and drove off! Soo nice of him!! Thank you soo much to him!! This guy deserves a bonus for going over and beyond to make sure customers are safe!! Walgreens contact me and I'll let you know who he was!! Nope nope nope. My insurance stopped using cvs and moved to Walgreens. Worst pharmacy ever. The people working their have serious attitudes and my prescription is always a 20 min wait. Not too mention how inefficient they are and quick to blame the customer. I found out today that I can use any other pharmacy besides cvs so I'm moving to something local or riteaid. Ordered a canvas for my moms birthday for pick up at 10:30am, only to arrive to a clueless clerk who had nothing done. She told me to return in 30 minutes. I returned an hour and a half later and they still had nothing done. After 20 minutes she came back to tell me the machine was not working and that they couldn't make my canvas. I would not recommend this Walmart in Seaside / Monterey CA because on February 26 2022 had a prescription that was called in by the doctor when I arrived 30 minutes later the employee said the prescription will be ready in one hour. I was ill so I called February 27 I was on hold for 15 minutes they hung up on me I called back I was on hold another 30 minutes while staff intermittently picked up the phone and placed it back down. Eventually they picked up and said the prescription still wasn't ready to wait until I got a text. I received the text went to the store and the prescription still wasn't ready. The sales person informed me that they weren't sure that all the medication's were there the pharmacy tech went back-and-forth to the pharmacist three times and finally I just walked out and left the medication. If it's customer service Courtesy or even information you're seeking you're seeking you will not find it at this facility. read more

By far the worst and most unprofessional pharmacy I've ever been to. I dropped off my prescription and was told it would be ready in 1 1/2 hours; I called 2-3 hours later and was told that 2 of 3 medications were ready but that the 3rd couldn't be filled for another 2 days. After reconfirming that 2 of my medications were ready for pickup, I drove all the way there only to be told that none of my medications were ready because they "can't fill prescriptions from out-of-town physicians" (I used to fill my prescriptions here before moving and I'm back in town visiting family for the holiday; heaven forbid anyone need a prescription filled while on vacation). I asked the male pharmacy tech working there why he told me over the phone that my medications were ready for pickup and he replied that the "store changed their policy and longer accepts out of town prescriptions"(from my UCLA physician!). He handed my script back and told me I had to go elsewhere. I spoke with the on duty pharmacist and she blatantly lied to me and gave me false information regarding my prescription. She informed me that they couldn't fill it because they have to "save medication for their usual customers" and that they couldn't order more because "they met their max quota for the month." After confronting the pharmacist about where I could find their store policy on not accepting prescriptions from out of town physicians and also their policy on allocating prescriptions based on being a "usual customer" she rudely hung up the phone one me (only after refusing to give me her name and or license number). Words can't describe how disappointed I am over the unethical and unprofessional service I received. It's worrisome that a place would employ a pharmacist who lies to patients and provides false information regarding their prescriptions. It's unbelievable/disgusting that a pharmacist can lie/misrepresent store policy to patients while on the job. read more

They say they are a 24 hour pharmacy but they aren't. It's a Saturday night and they are closed as of 9:30pm. This is outrageous. If they're short staffed, or unable to meet those standards, they should alert you ahead of time as the local hospitals are not required to have a pharmacy of there is one in the county that is 24 hours. Extremely disappointed to not be able to receive my medication. read more

This pharmacy doesn't deserve the one star I am giving. Knowing this is a 24 hour pharmacy, I called to make sure a medication was in stock. I was placed on hold and stayed on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up. Someone answered, therefore I thought they were open. I drove 45 minutes to the pharmacy to be told the pharmacy was closed since everyone quit. Why didn't they tell me that when I called and was placed on hold. Very discouraging. read more

I've needed to get an item around midnight a couple times while in the area when other places have been closed. Really glad this place is open all the time and also well stocked. Worst pharmacy ever! Do not ever use this pharmacy!! I had surgery today and went to get the prescription at 3pm they didn't get it filled after 7pm! I waited for 4hours to get my Norco filled. How long will it take to get a simple narcotic filled?! The worst part is the pharmacy tech didn't even process my prescription to be refilled not after the 3rd time I got in line and follow up my prescription!! So I was waiting the whole time, in pain!! Worst Pharmacy award go's toooooo Walgreens in Seaside !!! We had an unfortunate visit to the ER with our son who was having an acute reaction to something and his face had a severe rash and swelling. It's was a Saturday and we couldn't use our pharmacy in PG, because it was too late in the day, so I had to have them call the prescription into Walgreens in Seaside ( it's 24hrs ) So after being in the grody ER for 3hrs , we then head to this lovely place... They always have a crack head hanging out in front, so you know your in the right place. So they still hadn't received the prescription when I got there, the pharmacy tech said it would be 20min. I said " okay, no worries.. " . I give these people 40min and I go back and he said the prescription was still not ready and that in fact his Pharmacist hadn't even looked at the script. These people need to be more realistic with the times their giving to customers and clean up the place, it's a mess! read more

Probably the worse Walgreens ever. I don't know why I always go to this Walgreens to get my prescription hoping that the experience will be different every time just to be disappointed again! Don't ever do the drive through pharmacy to think you're saving time. When really you're actually Waseem probably 20 or more minutes sitting in line because there's only like one person working the pharmacy. I've never had to wait so long in a line ever, the one at my hometown can go through five cars with in under 10 minutes and this one takes probably a half an hour to serve three cars. read more

After having many issues trying to get some prescriptions moved over from my local CVS, I went in tonight to pick up a long established prescription. First time using this store. After waiting nearly 40 mins, the pharmacist calls me over to tell me she won't fill it because she has determined that the dose is too high. I've never seen this person. She is NOT a doctor. It is the same prescription that it's always been. How could she possible know that this dose is to high for this person (who she doesn't know and has no knowledge of my medical records)? For this reason alone I would avoid this store. After reading the other reviews, there are clearly many other reasons to use a different pharmacy. read more

I remember why I don't go to Walgreens anymore. I needed passport pictures (although not for a passport) and Edwin helped me. Worst customer service I've experienced in a while. Save your time and frustration and go somewhere else. Or if you really really really desperately need passport pictures taken because you don't have a lot of time, use the coupon online. This place is THE WORST drugstore on the entire peninsula. possibly in the entire Monterey County. Just now, I called. I was on hold for 30 minutes - "there are more than three people ahead of you" - then finally it got down to one. And then, it hung up on me. WHAT? I don't know why I even bother to call anymore, but when I go in, it's even worse. Standing in line for 30-40 minutes, waiting to talk to a pharmacist, has happened twice. I am not an unhappy person, and I am very polite to employees who have it rough (especially working at a place like this), but seriously. That's just ridiculous. It makes me want to punch something. I just wish a different drugstore was like 30 seconds from my house. About an hour ago, I got a call from my dermatologist's office asking why I had requested to change the prescription they gave me to a generic brand that wasn't so expensive. She was wondering why I did this since they gave me a voucher for a free prescription fill from the name-brand. I told her, um, excuse me? I haven't even been in to pick up my prescription at all, since we talked about me using the sample to see if it worked first... who told you I said that? And she said - the pharmacist at Walgreens said the patient requested a generic brand because it was too expensive. Um... are you serious? I feel like this is malpractice. I haven't been in there, called them (not that that would do any good, anyway), or anything at all... and they are speaking on my behalf? What BS. I am pretty furious at whoever did this, but odds are I'll never find out. That's why I called... to ask why the heck they feel it's okay to tell my dermatologist what I want when it's nothing of the sort. Maybe it's so they can make money off of it, since I won't be paying anything for the name-brand? Who knows. All I know is I am furious and this Walgreens is horrendous. read more

Do not use this pharmacy. It took us over three hours of being on hold or waiting in line in person (while on hold) to fill my son's inhaler prescription. The drive thru isn't worth it.. The two times I decided to stick out the wait I was in line 40 minutes. Embarrassing to admit but I'm stubborn. Either walk in (because they'll pay more attention to you if you're able to make eye contact), or go during a typical "slow hour" that's not noon, or six pm when everyone else is trying to get their prescriptions. I understand this isn't necessarily the employees' fault, but maybe this location needs to think about fixing their problem of being understaffed. I'm giving three stars because the actual store portion of Walgreens normally has whatever I'm looking for in stock and there is usually a cashier available as soon as I'm ready to check out. read more

I had to get a few months of prescriptions, called my insurance company and got the authorization override. Gave the walgreens pharmacy the number. There were some issues that involves me waiting in line or on the phone on average 30 mins each time with the walgreens pharmacy. I made about 4-6 contacts with them over the course of two weeks and finally gave up. Didn't get the supply I needed for vacation and decided it wasn't worth several more hours of waiting in line. The first person I talked to insulted my intelligence and was demeaning, rude and intimidating. The second person I called never came back to the phone. The third person I called said that I would have to come back to the store within 2 days to get my money back or the staff would not allow it. What???? Obviously, they were trying to pan off the computer error as my fault or that I was lying. Finally I was told I could come into the store within 30 days. The worst pharmacy I have used. Even the Dr who sent in the prescription gave us a back-up paper copy because they always lose the electronic ones they send in. That exact thing happened so I gave them the power one and was told it would be an hour so I said I would come back in the morning (they said it would be ready). I'm here well after noon and I'm still waiting, it was not ready. There's a huge line built up because of inefficiency and incompetence. This is a typical Walgreen's...nothing great about it, nothing bad. Relatively disinterested employees, but none rude. I shop here for most things medical, which many other places don't carry. Their photo department is quite good, albeit limited in what it offers on site...much has to be sent to their off site lab...such as photo items, mugs, mouse pads, etc. What's makes them good is the quick turn around and reasonable pricing. While I've never used the pharmacy here...I have friends who say its good. Last, I've always had a thing for drug stores... they often have unusual products that you just don't find in the corporate big box places...sometimes, when nearby I'll stop in to simply walk the entire store and see if there are any interesting items...and I've yet to be disappointed! read more

This is a review of the pharmacy only. These guys were fools and kept asking me questions about stuff that i had no idea what they hell they are talking about. They would go ask the pharmacist (who I could tell was getting annoyed if he wasn't already) all these questions that they should probably already know. I used My MasterCard and she thought it was a foreign credit card and had to go talk to the pharmacist again. I told her FOUR times that it wasn't foreign. You know I am usually more forgiving for stupidity, as long as they aren't mean, but the night in question was not a good night and I needed painkillers like I need to breathe, so do yourself a favor and go to Longs and avoid this place. I ordered prints online for photos for a present, it stated my prints would be ready at 9:45am however when I showed up at 1030 they were not even processed. While I understand things happen and was informed the machine was having issues, the employee that helped me was rude and acted like he did not care. And looked at the order pending to be done as if he just had not done it yet. Then told me they would be done within the hour. I called back at 1pm and they were still not ready and was put on hold multiple times for a total of 15 minutes to find out so. Finally received a call at 2pm that they were done. The only reason they get 2 stars is the woman who rang me up was very polite and apologetic. I've always worked in customer service and was shocked at the lack there of at this location. read more

Uggh, don't make the mistake I did and try to buy your sudafed with the piece of paper on the shelf at the front of the store. No, you have to spend 3 minutes signing your life away with the pharmacist at the BACK of the store. Hope you don't have to wait in two lines like I did (yes, the sudafed paper DID say this, I just neglected to notice in my cold-induced stupor).
