Mixed up my prescription (kinda unsafe) and 2 hours of waiting, need I say more?

This place in particular is really bad, they mixed up the labeling in the frozen food section. They also don't know how to organize their shelves and the non-spacial nature is a claustrophobic's worst nightmare! This place is cramped beyond belief and I'm glad that I didn't purchase anything here. Avoid this Walgreens, at this particular location, and go to Safeway instead. read more

Very bad customer service. Every time I go to the pharmacy, the stuff there is very rude and unprofessional.

I hate it here, but it's open 24/7 and has a drive through. Send your spouse if you can.

This Walgreens has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. For starters, the Pharmacy staff not only are they super unorganized with customer's orders, they are rude, they lack of experience on how to run customer insurance properly, they have you wait a ridiculous amount of time in line in and outside of the store only to tell you they have to go to lunch and you'll have to wait some more. Very inconsiderate of your time! (Especially, a Caucasian, red head female in Pharmacy department). Secondly, the Assistant manager Sarah should be re-trained how to properly treat and assist customers when they ask for help or even better FIRED! If you don't like your job, LEAVE! and go somewhere else where you'll be happy but don't take it out on old folks or the disabled by walking away/ignoring them when they really need help with your services in-store! Hopefully, the Store manager does something about this matter. A complaint form has been filled out and emailed to the Store Manager. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. I'm not saying everyone working there is bad, but the operation is ridiculously slow and inefficient. The 2nd drive thru lane has been broken for as long as I can remember. It is always at least a 20 minute wait at the drive thru. I have contacted Walgreens directly several times to plead for someone higher up to come and fix this place, but finally gave up. Our prescriptions are in the thousands per month, but we are now VERY happy CVS customers.....that pharmacy rocks!! read more

Horrible pharmacy. Slow and complacent. Prescription wasn't ready after 2.5 hours and they said 10 more minutes. After 45 minutes I went to the counter and asked and they said, "oh, that was ready an hour ago, we called for you." They did not, and stared at us (and numerous others) without offering any assistance or updates. I had to go back up to get the news that they had wasted an extra hour. Poor customer service, no accountability, and very nonchalant about their profession. read more

This pharmacy has gone from 5 star to no star in the last half year or so. My wife and I both used it after dumping the pharmacy Savemart in Sand City because they were too often out of the meds we needed. Walgreens pharmacy was open 24/7 with only a lunch gap in the early AM hours. No problems for a long time at Walgreens pharmacy. Then it all started going down the tubes a few months ago. Their pharmacy hours kept changing and they were posting help wanted signs for new hire pharmacy techs. Now you can't depend on what their hours are or how good the tech or pharmacist is. .A couple of months ago one of their techs gave me the wrongs meds for my wife because the last name was similar. What I also found is that when you call in a refill for a new refill prescription they stall and say that the doctor has not yet authorized the refill. That's bogus because when I contacted the doctor I found out that he did indeed authorize the refill in a timely manner. The new staffers and I don't know where they found them at run around behind the counter like a bunch of lost sheep. Tonight topped if off for me, I've been trying at this Walgreen's pharmacy to get one of my wife's heart meds refilled since the middle of last week. When I get in line I'm told that the doctor has not yet given the ok. So this evening I called the pharmacy line and the result was that they had me on hold around an hour saying that I was the next caller after one caller Then it changed to their staff was answering other callers with no mention of one caller ahead of me. I left them a not so nice voice mail message saying that they need to call me tomorrow at work with a resolution to this mess as when I come in to their pharmacy after work I will mot be a happy person if they have not resolved this crap I am also going to mail a hard copy of this to the management at Seaside Walgreens because I doubt that they review the Yelp Reviews. read more

THE MOST DISGUSTING BATHROOM EVER!!!!!!!!! the trash was all over the floor and not to mention there wasn't any toilet paper.

I'm new to Medicare D and trying to fumble through the process of getting my current medications transferred from my current pharmacy to Walgreens. Does anyone relate to this? I only have 2 days of medication left. The person who took my information at Walgreens said it could take up to a week to process the transfer of my prescription. When I expressed concerns about a potential lapse in medication availability, he sounded impatient and said "just call if it's a problem". Then he just hung up on me!!! No empathy for a senior. His name is CHARLES. Very poor customer service. I am not looking forward to using Walgreens as my pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy staff at the Seaside Walgreens is wonderful whether is 3 am or 3pm. Being on the customer side the counter, I have witnessed and been the beneficiary of clear directions about the medication, diligent work for complicated insurance and kindness. I spent time in line, but I have also benefited from the attention to detail. This job can't be easy and they consistently strive to help everyone with respect, clarity and grace. read more

I came down with bronchitis over the weekend and had to have a prescription called in by my doctor at 9:45 PM on a Saturday. I went in around 10:15 to pick it up. When I arrived, the overly-nonchalant pharmacist looked at his computer, shrugged and said it wasn't called in. He then walked away. I went to my car, got my phone and called my doctor again (who was on call). She assured me that she had sent the scrip electronically. I went back in and found the pharmacist locked out of the pharmacy and being trained--apparently 'again'-- how to unlock the pharmacy door by the pharmacy tech. When he was back behind the counter, I told him my doctor said she had sent it electronically. He said, "you mean by fax?" I told him that I didn't know how their system worked. He said it wasn't there, and again walked away. I called my doctor a third time and asked her to call in my prescription. I waited (It was now 10:30) for 5 minutes. The pharmacist walked back, showed me a piece of paper, and told me it had been called in. I asked how long it would take to fill and he said "10 minutes". I walked around for three or four minutes. When I returned to the pharmacy, the pharmacist was on the aisle talking to a woman about vitamins for nearly 10 minutes. She left, and he remained on the aisle... staring at the vitamins. I leaned over the counter and asked the pharmacy tech if this guy was the only pharmacist. She said "yes" but that she didn't know where he was. I told her, "HE'S RIGHT HERE, STARING AT THE VITAMINS." She called his name, but he didn't answer or move. Finally, she handled the transaction, gave me the info about the prescription and apologized for the pharmacist. I left with my prescription (after forty-five minutes now) and the pharmacist was still standing in the aisle, staring at the vitamins. It was like a Twilight Zone episode. I am definitely going to try to find a better option for 24 hour pharmacy service. read more

Good store. Only one problem. I was standing at the checkout when another customer,(a women in her mid 40's) began harassing and annoying me, asking personal questions and the like, being most unpleasant. As she was acting like an 8 year old ,I looked in her eyes and saw she was high on meth. I asked to speak to the manager 3 times but the clerk said no. The clerk said she was going to call the police, and I said good, please do. She did not. I left the store, came back the next day, talked with she store manager, told in exact detail what happened. The entire incident is on video tape, the clerk was fired, and the other customer has been banned from all 24,000 Walgreens! The other customer was also fired from her job,(she worked somewhere else, not at any Walgreens), this is a small town and we knew who she was, and her former employer did not want a meth freak,(addict) working for him and representing him and his business as a 45 year old woman who behaves like an 8 year old and is a meth addict. HA HA !!! Yeah, I like Walgreens, they addressed the situation correctly, i.e. the fired the clerk and banned the meth freak from all 24,000 Wallgreens, contacted the meth freaks employer, told him what happened, and he fired her. LOL!!! Lesson(s) learned, behave properly, don't use meth. and be nice to people. read more

the wait time in the so called 'drive thru' is horrible and the microphone/speaker for communicating with the person behind the window has been inoperable forever. in order to communicate people have to yell through the tunnel they use for the drugs and payment. such disregard and contempt for their customers. the worst. gladly returning to Costco read more

Worst. Pharmacy. Ever. The first time I used this pharmacy they quoted me 15 minutes to get my prescription filled, we were still waiting an hour later. I wouldn't have considered giving them a second chance except they are one of the only pharmacy's open past 6 pm on a Saturday. I spoke with them three times regarding this prescription (verifying my doctor had called, etc), the third time I spoke with them the pharmacy tech assured me it would be filled and ready to pick up within 15 minutes. I arrived to pick up the prescription and they informed me that they no longer accept tri-care but they would be happy to fill the prescription if I wanted to pay out of pocket. I may have considered this, as my son needed these meds, but they hadn't even filled the prescription that they told me over the phone (30 minutes prior) would be ready when I got there. I wouldn't recommend this place even in a pinch. Drive an extra 10 minutes to a different pharmacy. read more

Very understaffed pharmacy department. Takes forever to get a prescription. I hope saving payroll dollars costs them customers.

Expect 20 minute+ hold times if you need to talk to pharmacy staff on the phone. The last 4 times I have needed to talk to an actual person I was on hold for ridiculously long periods of time. After finally getting frustrated and hanging up after 21 minutes this last time, I called Safeway and was talking to someone in their pharmacy within moments. read more

Ordered Photos online an hour later realized I had put the wrong date on the cards--- I called and the photo tech took down all the info- as the machine had gone down. Next day my husband picked up our christmas cards all ready and correct. They still have an actual photo technician on hand. Have been able to take rolls of film here to get developed many times. It usually takes less than an hour. Nice to be able to use film still for photography and not have to mail it to someplace and wait a week! read more

I always have trouble finding sale items. I have emailed corporate about sale items not being marked and sales items not being available on the shelf. I have always ask someone to go into the back and find the item. Customer service is clearly not a priority.Today the clerk couldn't apply the Walgreen rewards to purchase. We were purchasing toys for a local charity . She tells us that we have no rewards. I ask for a manager. The manager never came and we were holding up the line. I go buy another item and look on at the receipt the rewards are there. We go pick up four toys. A very nice clerk in cosmetics range up our purchase. Nothing should be this complicated. I don't understand why the store manager doesn't care. Where is the corporate office? read more

Your homeless hang out at this location made me feel unsafe and will not go to this store at night at all again. Its to bad, it seems the employees need to make a choice of who they want to take care of. Paying customers or the unruly, loud and misbehaving homeless that emerge out from Laguna Grande Park. This review is for the photo department only. I ordered online two custom photo books on a Saturday night (same day pickup) for a Christmas gift. I went in Sunday afternoon to pick them up and was told that they wouldn't be ready until Monday because the person who makes those books is off for the day. They claim they called and was told they had the wrong number...weird since I checked the number they had and it was the right number. I call Monday to check the status, was told that the machine was broken. Called Tuesday and was told they were ready the night before and I should have gotten a call (I didn't). Then before I hang up, they quickly say that one of the books is actually not complete so they will call me later that night when they are complete.... never got a phone call until Wednesday. I go in Wednesday, receive the books and they ask if I want to speak to a manger for a discount. The manager comes and it's the first lady I saw on Sunday who told me the books couldn't be made cause she doesn't know how to make them! How are you the photo manager and not know how to use the machines!? She gives me a nice discount and I walk a way annoyed yet happy to finally have these books. Something told me to not leave without looking at the books and so glad I did! One book was completely backwards and the last page of it was supposed to be in the other book. Therefore, both books were put together in the wrong order. I couldn't believe it. Walked back in, told them they were put together wrong. They showed me in their system what they had and sure enough they printed off the pages and mixed them all! They had horrible customer service, literally not a bright bunch, and instead of saying they will remake them, they tell me there's nothing they can do about it and they give me a refund without apologizing. I asked if another Walgreens can do it since it's in their system and they said no. I spent that whole Saturday creating and putting together those books and was looking forward to getting them and giving as Christmas gifts. I'm irate about this pharmacy. I took my 8 month old son in to the pediatrician this Saturday because he had a barking croupy cough. They called in a prescription to put in a nebulizer they sent us home with and they tell me they sent the prescription in already electronically. I go straight over to pick it up as my baby is struggling to breathe. I wait 20 minutes in the drive thru with only 1 car ahead. The lady at the window says," I'm sorry I don't see a prescription, did you just leave the office?" I said, "yes but they are closed now (45 min later) and I was the last patient. They said they sent it in. What am I supposed to do now?" She says," you could go to urgent care." REALLY? I just left the doctor! So I ask her to check again. Same thing. So I leave and call the offices after hour line. Doc says it was sent but that she'd give them a call. Doc calls back and says they've had it the whole time, in a pile of faxes, someone else found it, but that they were backed up and couldn't get it to me for 4 hours. So basically she lied straight to my face. I'm sorry but you don't put a babies breathing in jeopardy because you are backed up and don't have time to look. So I just now, two days later get an electronic call from them saying my prescription is ready to pick up. Sorry jerks, we had it called in somewhere else because you are incompetent and had it filled in 15 minutes. read more
