Fantastic food and service! I had the kid burger. Made with fresh ingredients and the bun was so good. I haven't had a burger this good in a while.

Really good burgers, the friendliest lady taking orders at the window. Beautiful garden setting with plenty of seating and shade. Pet friendly too... GREAT onion rings. Very tasty milkshake (chocolate).

We came here recently on our way to Lake Tahoe. Parking was easier than I remembered and we parked in the lot next to Walker Burger. It had been years since my last Walker Burger and it was even better than I remembered. The line was 20+ people long, but it moved quickly and the food was ready in a reasonable amount of time considering everything is made fresh to order. We also didn't mind waiting, because they have a lovely dog friendly garden and plenty of seating and shade. We ordered a couple of burgers and a large fries. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger and it was very easily one of the best burgers I've had anywhere. The quality of their meat and the flavor was incredible. After eating, we ordered dessert and I made a comment about the meat being really good. We found out that it's sourced locally, which is probably why it's so good. We also found out that the owner's family member is vegan, so they offer vegan, and vegetarian items. They even have a dedicated fryer so their fries don't get cross contaminated. I was very impressed by their level of consideration for different dietary needs, and as someone with food allergies I really appreciate this. I knew I loved Walker Burger growing up, but it's even better now and I already can't wait to go back!

Danger dog! So good! So many fresh ingredients and just want you want on a summer day

This ambiance is everything! A nice escape from the heat while enjoying some really fresh yummy food! We got the walker burger, chicken bacon ranch burger and pictured is the danger dog! The fries are huge and the fried pickles are exactly how you want them. We loved the service and atmosphere this place brought. Many people around having a grand ol' time aswell! Stop by as soon as you can!!

Staff was super friendly, food was great, sitting outside at a picnic table watching the sun set over the mountains was magical. I grew up visiting walker burger on trips, I forgot how nice it is to take a little break from rushing around to enjoy the little things. Walker burger is on my list of stops to make on 395.

Anytime we are in the area, we always stop here! The burgers, fries, shakes and sides are all 10/10 delish The food comes out quick, and very fresh with the employees being very helpful and nice. The seating area is super nice with multiple tables and chairs which are surrounded by trees and gardens. They also provide blankets if you want to picnic which is so unique and fun! Not only does this place hold sentimental value to my family, it also ALWAYS hits the spot. If you find yourself passing through Bridgeport/ Walker/ Coleville/ Topaz you've got to stop here, you won't regret it!

The only problem with this place, is that it closes for the winter months. Great place to stop and enjoy a good meal or an ice cream

Pricey but the food is good and pretty much the only burger spot in town. Recommend the double western / cowboy burger, that's my go-to.

They have an extensive menu of salads, apps, sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast items served all day. The restaurant has electronic gaming at the bar, so if you have children, you can't dine inside. They have a small outdoor space, but we've never had issues getting a table. The ambiance is what you would expect of a casino/bar type restaurant. It's dirty and it's dingy. But I pay it no mind because the burgers are *chef's kiss*. Every burger I've had has been executed perfectly. The burgers are flavorful and juicy and I always find myself finishing the entire thing. I have not been disappointed so far. We love the CORKSCREW SHRIMP for apps. I've tried some of their other items from other people in my party, like cheesesteaks, breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, and chix sandwiches, but STICK WITH THE BURGERS, it's what they're known for. Service has been great every single time we've been here. The women are so polite and friendly. I will always recommend this place to anyone in search of a good burger.

Lucky Beaver -- You've Got to Be Kidding Me…read more The food was okay, but apparently getting it to the table is an extreme sport. We waited over an hour for our food. I ordered a simple poke ahi salad with wonton chips -- you know, a cold salad that doesn't exactly require a chef to battle a grill, fryer, or oven. Yet somehow, it was the last thing to arrive. Everyone else had already gotten their wings, steak sandwiches, and fries -- food that actually has to be cooked -- while I sat there wondering if my poke salad was being harvested from the Pacific Ocean one fish at a time. The waitress eventually came over and even seemed surprised when she asked, "You didn't get your poke salad yet?" Nope. Apparently neither did the kitchen, because they seemed to have forgotten it existed. Then, after waiting over an hour, my $22 poke salad finally arrived. We all looked at it and basically had the same reaction: "That's it?" It was served in what looked like a cocktail glass with three wonton chips sticking out of the top. For $22, I expected an actual salad -- not something that looked like it was designed to be displayed behind the bar as a garnish. At that point, everyone else was already finished eating, so I guess my salad was less of a meal and more of a $22 delayed-release appetizer. And let's talk about the drinks. The prices are absolutely ridiculous. Apparently Lucky Beaver has decided their drinks should cost more than drinks in the casino. Maybe the extra money goes toward funding the search party for the missing poke salad. Overall, the food was just okay, but the combination of over an hour waiting, an order that was nearly forgotten, a cold salad somehow arriving last, a laughably small $22 portion, and ridiculously overpriced drinks made this experience pretty disappointing.

The restaurant's dining room has a stunning panoramic views of the lake in addition to a warm, inviting ambience. Co-managed by Chef Jason Custer and owner Hilary Hansen Jones, it offers an unforgettable fixed-price menu featuring creative, flavorful dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The menu that evening, inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony, delivered a harmonious and tranquil multi-course experience. Highlights include a refreshing first course of watermelon sorbet with kimchi foam, a delicately cured ocean trout with caviar cream, roasted squab in cherry sauce with Korean dumplings, and a unique dessert of toasted corn ice cream dessert. Each dish was thoughtfully paired with excellent wine suggestions from the wine list that had several Old World and New World selections under $50. The attentive service at Mono Inn was choreographed by the owner who took time to regale our table in the history of the Mono Inn. It was previously a worthy stop-off when the trip north or south was long and you needed a decent quality comfort-food bite on the fly. Sadly, this restaurant is now crossed off my list of options. Pricing here has gotten out of control (a hamburger is 30-35 dollars....a *hamburger* ?!?), with service nothing particularly special. So you will be paying roughly double, or more, for the price of a menu roughly equivalent to the quality of an Applebee's. The restaurant will argue these are the new inflationary market prices, supply demand dynamics, summer travel pricing to offset slower winter travel season, etc etc. But reaming the customer ain't a great recipe for having folks like me ever returning. It simply isn't worth it to dine here anymore, so I will keep driving past Virginia Creek Settlement and wave.
