I've been struggling to find words good enough to describe the amazing people here. I recommend them at every opportunity! I just had no idea what it meant to receive high quality care from a physician until I started coming here last year. What a refreshing change from the status quo From the first visit when I met Dr. Vasquez, I knew right away I hit the lottery of healthcare. He spoke to me in a way that made me feel heard and cared for PERSONALLY by him. It's hard to explain, but this man makes everyone feel special; it's not just me who feels this way. The staff also speaks very highly of him, and they knew exactly what I was talking about when I shared my experience with them. Speaking of staff; a special shoutout to Samantha, Kaylee, and Julia. Not to say that everyone else here isn't amazing as well, but these 3 individuals shine extra bright. Whether it's by phone, or when I come to the office for an appointment, my experience with them has always left me wanting to tell more people about this office. Well worth the drive, even if you don't live near Crestline (I drive 50 minutes to get here). It's so beautiful in Crestline and there's much to do if you can spare some extra time to go exploring before or after your appointment!

Had to come next day to submit another one. Meanwhile, there was no way to get a response from the doctor till I actually came to the appointment. Few days after I spoke to the doctor I decided to do at-home pH test that showed I needed specific antibiotic. Took a full day of calling the office and texting the nurse. Was about to go to ER since my symptoms worsened when got a call from the nurse saying she sent prescription in for me. Got 90 antibiotic pills from pharmacy with no indication of how long to take them for - obviously, very possible mistake. Texted the nurse - no response, called office - took efforts to convince them that something may be wrong and I need to double-check with the doctor. Called another line and at last found out that it's only 7 and not 30 days I should take antibiotic for. Very frustrated! UPD: right after I posted this review, got a text response from the nurse, picture attached

Either by phone/zoom or if there's a cancellation. I was surprised to read the one bad review associated with Dr Maier, because my experience is in complete contrast. I need a lot of lab work done during the year, so Dr Maier gives me a stat order that is good for 6 months at a time. I just go the the Hospital and it's already approved. His staff is top notch between the office manager Austin and Sue in Referrals. I feel they take my well being as serious as I do. Yes Dr Maier has a lot of patients, but isn't that a good thing, kind of like a busy local restaurant that all the locals like to eat at. Sometimes the price to pay for good service is that ypu might need to wait or make an appointment. And if it's a life threatening situation then that's what Emergency Rooms are for. On a side note Dr Maier used to be an ER doctor, which I find reassuring. The staff has changed somewhat over the past decade, but I feel they have only gotten better and more helpful. When I explained how severe the pain was, they said, "Drive down the mountain and go to urgent care." When I explained that would rupture my ear drum, they said, "Why don't you go to Rite Aid and get some over-the-counter ear-pain drops?" (Those don't exist and they don't cure ear pain). I had to switch him from my primary care doctor. The doctor upstairs (Dr.. Elwood Cohen) saw me in TEN minutes. Ten minutes! I was right - my ear infection was so bad it was going to rupture. I called Maier's office back and spoke to his medical assistant and she was both snotty and rude. Bad front-and-back office staff ruin a medical practice. Pick a doctor who will actually see you when you're sick. Isn't that what doctors are for?

We were in the lobby for 4 hours before being seen by a doctor. I'm assuming they are under staffed. There was a girl who was deathly ill and sobbing in the lobby. I don't think anyone checked on her or spoke to her despite her cries. I separated my shoulder. The first time they called me was to get my blood pressure and general info, so I was invited inside the clinical area. While I was sitting there, some dude was walking around. I don't remember exactly what he was wearing, but I don't think he was in scrubs. He was telling me he thinks my shoulder is broken and that it's gonna be a lengthy recovery. Not something anyone would want to hear. I questioned his credibility and asked him really? He said we can "bet money on it"... It was really unprofessional. He wanted to prove some weird point that he's confident that he can guess my diagnosis. Later the doctor came with the X-Ray results and it ended up just being a separation. And no broken bones (thanks weird unprofessional dude for the awkward interaction and trying to convince me that I had a broken bone). The clinical staff was great. The doctor was caring and answered my questions. I was also helped by a male nurse, he was good too and hardworking. If only the wait time wasn't so long, but I understand the clinical staff did their best. Either they are understaffed or lots of people had incidents that day, hence the long wait time.

When Dr. Donaldson entered, he didn't speak or introduce himself. Instead, he reached out and attempted to disconnect the urgent call I was wrapping up. Rather than continuing with the appointment--one I had been waiting over six months for--he left without seeing me. Junge, Dr. Donaldson's found this to be exceedingly entertaining, or that is what I assumed by his smile and laughter. ***Edited to add:*** Against my better judgment, I allowed Junge to participate in my care today with Dr. Donaldson, despite explicitly informing him beforehand that I do not participate in any educational activities involving bringing others into the session. Junge either lacked awareness or disregarded my boundaries, which is concerning given his stated pursuit of a fellowship following clinical practice--yet he showed no regard for the importance of cultural sensitivity or patient autonomy. His conduct throughout the interaction was unprofessional, characterized by condescension, dismissiveness, and language that suggests underlying racial bias. His behavior was less respectful than expected from a healthcare provider and reflected prejudice rooted in preconceived notions rather than clinical judgment. Notably, Junge labeled me as "combative" based on subjective impressions, revealing a reliance on stereotypes and a failure to understand or respect my concerns. This unprofessional assessment unduly influenced the supervising physician, who accepted these biased characterizations without scrutiny, thus perpetuating unjust and unequal treatment. Additionally, Junge blatantly ignored my clear statement that I did not want to participate in any educational efforts by bringing others into the appointment, demonstrating a lack of respect for my autonomy and boundaries. Mr. O'Reilly talks at you and doesn't give you the time or day to speak your side. If you can't listen how are you a doctor? Or how about when they tell you " hey you're here to see me!" I rather poop in my hands and clap then ever go there or refer anyone to them.
