I stayed at the hotel the last weekend in June 2026. It was comfortable and quiet, within walking distance of the 1,2 and subway lines. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The ice machine is in the basement with the fitness area, which was small but had clean and functioning cardio machines (an elliptical, treadmill, and spinning bike, along with a weight machine). My room was clean and reasonably sized for one person and while some may complain that the feel is a bit dated, I actually like the charm of an older hotel. I stayed in a more modern Hilton in Hollywood, FL, this past April and most of the outlets didn't work. That was so not the case here. The WiFi is free with a very strong signal. The TV has all of the major cable channels, though there isn't an on-screen guide so you will need to do a bit of surfing. There is a daily complimentary breakfast (nothing exciting, but free is free). All in all, a good experience. I go down to New York from Boston 1-3 times a year and this will definitely be in the mix for future options. read more

Rooms were decent size. Water was hot. Shower drained really slow. Loved the heater in bathroom. You could hear everything on the street (sirens, talking, screaming etc) all night. Plus there was a water drip sound in the wall. Carpet was vacuumed but very old and covered in stains. Had black out curtains but they wouldn't close completely so pointless. Soft pillows but old school hard spring beds. Had free breakfast but wasn't very good - bagels were very dry and we went to the neighboring bagel shop after the first day and paid $7/bagel instead. The biggest annoyance was lack of dresser/drawers and outlet plugs. Could really use some updating! I would stay here again if the price was amazing but would probably try somewhere else first. read more

I was actually very happy here. Wasn't expecting much since reviews were pretty bad. There is ongoing work being done, staff is nice enough and answered questions easily. Breakfast was very basic but just having croissants with butter or cream cheese was better than nothing and perfect for on the go. Wish they had boiled eggs at least, would've been great. Cereal is brand name so that's cool. There's hot chocolate and coffee, hot/iced water and coffee available no matter what time you get there. The bed was comfortable and black out curtains actually overlap properly. Soundproofing is great and could barely hear anything going on outside. Tv had cable which was great. Bathroom is clean and the products they have smell great. The room was cleaned despite having a don't disturb on the door but maybe it fell off. Shower pressure is just ok but I was able to take a bath without issue. AC worked fine but had a max low of 64 degrees. Lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby from Asian, Mexican and American options. Store next door sells liquor and wine. Really nice area and nearby all the subways and buses. Would definitely come back here. However don't expect 5 star experience. The rooms are fairly small, the bathroom has a sheer curtain for some odd reason and there's no coffee machine in the room. Perfect for a tourist who needs the bare minimum and safety. read more

This was a horrible experience. I DO NOT recommend. I came in after a long hot day outside. The receptionist checked me in and I immediately go to shower. While showering I notice long brown hair straight hair stuck to the walls. I quickly finish my shower then go to the lobby to kindly ask them to clean it. A man promptly goes to take care of my room and while I'm waiting I decide to ask for a discount. The manager rudely says no (which I had no problem with) but he proceeds to deny the hair. He said an "executive housekeeper" checks each room and that their hotel doesn't have hair. Well...I have photos and he still denied it so because he wasn't being understanding I asked for a refund and he said if I'm asking for a refund I have to leave...like I wasn't going to do that anyway? It's a charming little place right in a charming area--very British. The staff was friendly. The rooms are tiny, the bathrooms even more so, yet, all you need is there and everything was spotless. A bit weird that there were no double curtains or blinds for privacy in the bathroom, but then, it was only offices and garages on the other side of the street and no one there on the weekend. I would have given it 5 stars if the breakfast was more appealing. (There's a Starbucks around the corner ) But again, also everything in the breakfast area was super clean. Was in town for a work event and this hotel was booked for me. The lobby was lovely and the room was clean. This place has an old charm to it. Unfortunately there was scaffolding and construction workers outside my window, but otherwise about what you would expect. Loved the alley of restaurants and bars behind the hotel. The first two nights, I had problems with the air conditioning. I complained to the front desk; they sent someone up, but the air conditioning still didn't work. The second night, the guy who tried fixing the air conditioner in my room told me it had to stay on 70, and I told him that it was still warm. That night, the front desk said to me that they had previously had problems with air conditioners. The next day, I spoke to the manager, and he got someone more qualified to fix it. However, I was surprised after I told him I had two miserable nights; he didn't give me the first two days for free. Usually, managers give you those days for free when you have a problem. That's a classy thing to do. He didn't do it. I will never stay at this hotel again. read more

The front desk clerk marked my money and told me it was counterfeit when in fact it was not and I got the bills verified at two different locations including the next door liquor store. Both places verified my bills were not counterfeit. I went back to explain this to her and even showed her on Google what the counterfeit bill looks like and she still refused to admit they were real and refused to let me book a room. I asked for a supervisor for which she said there was none on shift. To sum things up she was being racist as I am an African American woman. Don't book here my brown people!! I wanted to like this hotel as it looked super charming but it just wasn't for me. First off, the check in process was awful. I was pregnant and on a business trip and they hadn't received the authorization form. I had to schlep back to the office to get it and when I got back to the hotel, they said oh we need another form too. They forgot to tell me the first time. Front desk staff is not particularly friendly either. This was very frustrating. The actual hotel is very clean and renovated but they purposely renovated it to look like someone's grandmother's house. The linens are great and the bathroom fixtures are new but this gawdy gold. Curtains are floral. If you like an older traditional style, this hotel would suit you but I liked a more modern style. Breakfast was muffins, bagels, boiled eggs, and a waffle machine. Breakfast staff was nice. All in all, it's a budget hotel that would work for some but the old style decor and rude front desk staff made it an unpleasant stay for me. read more

First and foremost. Let me warn anyone venturing into this district that the buildings really affect any gps signal and I highly recommend you write out/screen shot or print your directions. GPS will have you going in circles. Hotel is neatly tucked away and nondescript. The ambience is old world and perhaps dated, but adds to the charm. My room was clean, spacious and had all the amenities I needed for an over night stay. Continental breakfast served from 7-10am and boasts a variety of eats from waffles you make yourself, bagels, bread or croissants. Cereal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea and OJ. Nice to fill up before venturing out. Plenty to see and do around the area. From the financial district to Fulton Street and South Street Seaport... shops, eateries and old world cobble stone streets make it seem like you've ventured into a Charles Dickens novel- minus the horse and carriage. I previously had posted a favorable review halfway through my trip here. I've been here three nights. I use my phone as my alarm clock. I have no need to touch the alarm clock on the nightstand in the room and have not. It's 5.45 AM. Someone had set the alarm clock for 5.45 AM. It's a multi step process to set it. I have no desire to read the instructions printed on top of it at 5.45 AM. Yet here I am, up and awake figuring out how to shut it off. I work hard. I often work late. Knowing I can sleep at least 6 hours is critical. I'll be up close to 1 AM on flights tonight. I'll now be doing it with 3 hours and 45 minutes of sleep in me. After turning the light on and figuring out the alarm, I'm wide awake. Since the alarm clock requires multiple steps with instructions, (what kind of alarm clock requires instructions?!) I don't see how this was an accident, but I can't figure why anyone would have set it. So I'm now leaving this review, staring at my phone and wondering if I should just check out. read more

The Hotel itself is nice but the staff is TERRIBLE. the check in process was HORRIBLE!! I paid for 2 rooms on a Friday night to accommodate my family who was celebrating a birthday in the area. I paid for the room ahead of time and when I got there they told me I had to give them an additional $250 in case of damage. (Which wasn't explained when I booked the room or else I would've been prepared for this) When I told them I didn't have a credit card but would happily leave the deposit in cash they told me they couldn't give me my room or a refund EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR THE ROOMS IN ADVANCE. After a standoff with the front desk in which I told them there not allowed to just keep my money they allowed me to check in. The room itself was nice it was clean kind of small but for the vibe of the hotel it fits. The bed was clean towels and washcloths were stocked and fresh. Parking is a disaster within itself! They say they validate parking for 24 hours but apparently you can't move the car until you're leaving out the lot for good so I had to pay for parking twice within the 24 hour window that they claim to validate so ultimately I had to pay $60 twice for one night stay. When it came to check out I asked if I can be extended my check out 30 mins and they told me very NASTY might I add that I would have to pay an additional $150 for 30 MINUTES! That is UNHEARD of especially for the hotel itself it's not even worth it. Needless to say I was disappointed with the staff and the parking situation. First, DO NOT stay here during the summer. The AC is rigged so that you can't get your room cool below a certain temperature, so expect to be hot. They claim to offer free breakfast. They don't. We had to go to great lengths just to get some hot water to make tea. I wanted to take a bath. When the tub was about half full, black sludge was oozing out of the faucet along with the water. So I wasn't able to bathe while I was here. The television was rigged so that it only got one channel. You literally can not change the channel on the tv. Oh, and half the lights in the room didn't work. The only employee we saw told us how much he had to do and then spent the entire time we were there watching Fox News in the breakfast room. He was not wearing a mask. I paid for two nights, but I just left after the first even though I couldn't get a refund for the unused night. The only reason I stayed for one night was that I was too tired to go anywhere else. read more

Stayed in a two double bed room for $240 on a night when all other Manhattan hotels were asking $300+. The location is close to the 4/5 subway lines and Staten Island Ferry, and about a 10 minute walk to Fulton Center. Prior to checking in, we asked the front desk to store our luggage, and it made us a bit uncomfortable that they had us leave our bags in an unlocked room that other guests could also access. The room itself was adequate, albeit somewhat dated. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, especially by NYC standards. The scaffolding right outside of our window was a little off-putting, but we didn't mind too much. Breakfast was decent, consisting of cereal, pastries, hard boiled eggs, and a waffle maker. While it's not perfect, I'd sooner stay here again than pay an extra $60 for a different hotel that is only marginally better. read more

WARNING- Do Not Stay Here. Will charge your card for random fees. Hotel is in a cool area, but hotel itself is a small, creepy, weird, European style hotel that is in serious need of upgrading. Hotel itself was fairly clean. However, when I came back in the evening, the entire hotel smelled heavily of bleach. It was unbearable and I couldn't open the windows as there was scaffolding outside of my room. Bleach was so strong that it stung my eyes and my eyes were swollen for two days. I don't know what required the heavy bleaching as it didn't smell like that when I checked-in. I was barely in the room as I was in town for a work event. Checked-in, dropped my bags, went to event, came back and went to bed. Left at 8 am the next morning. Found an extra $81 charged to my credit card. Called to find out what the extra charge was about and they told me it was due to "carpet cleaning". Umm- maybe they are trying to charge me for whatever incident caused there to be massive amounts of bleach dumped all over the hotel? Can't get a hold of a manager to get an explanation but regardless, it's a ridiculous, bogus charge. And I can't help but laugh because it's so ridiculous. DO NOT PARK at the parking garage across the street! That is half the reason I am writing this review. I thought the hotel was quaint and the room was adorable. I had no complaints aside from being unable to park your car anywhere. We were told to park across the street at South William Parking (directly across from the entrance) $40 for 24 hours. So we went to park there and they said $60. We said "But the hotel told us it was $40" and then they said "Ok, $40 then, if you're from the hotel. We arrived Saturday June 18th at 3:45pm to celebrate father's day. We went to get our car Sunday June 19th at 3:00 pm (on father's day). So actually, slightly less than 24 hours. No where near 48 hours. They charge us $80. When we tried to contest it they said they would refuse to give us our keys back and gave us a phone number to call to complain if we didn't like it. They offered no explanation for charging us twice the amount. Even other people in the parking garage contested it. But they refused to give us our car keys with out $80, even though we parked there less than 24 hours, and both the hotel and the parking attendants said $40. Don't park there. Do not tip them. We tipped them repeatedly when I had to get some of my daughter's things from the car, anytime we needed to go in the car, we tipped them. But they double charged us, offered no explanation, and refused to budge. Oh, and the icing on the cake was that I called the number that they gave to complain, and the man on the phone said "I can't help you, I'm not customer service" so I said "What's the number for customer service?" and he said "I don't know, google it or something" and hung up. When I googled it, the same number I called came up, and they refused to answer my calls. read more

This place is a few fresh pastries away from 5 stars. Stayed one night here in August. Room was stylish in a homey sort of way, neat and clean. Not huge, but not small. We didn't have a view, but we were out and around Manhattan anyway, so no loss there. New fixtures in the bathroom, good water pressure, and close (about 4 blocks) to a couple of subway lines. Easy to get to midtown/Broadway/Times Square/Central Park/Wherever, but also easy to get to JFK Airport for the trip home. $60/night cheaper than comparable stuff farther north that was closer to the tourist-oriented action. Free continental breakfast (including complimentary copies of the Wall Street Journal) was good, but they served day-old baked goods (in addition to some other stuff that was fresh). Little did management know they were one fresh cheese danish away from 5 stars. Still, a good place to go if you want to be totally comfortable, see the City, and not break the bank. read more

Quiet, comfortable and worth it just for the giant bathroom. We chose this hotel because Wall Street is very quiet in the evenings. No horn honking or police sirens around here. Great if you are willing to pay more in transportation, since you are a little far from Midtown and most attractions, but you're only about two blocks from the 2 and 3 trains. Breakfast is great - hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, pastries, cereal, coffee, tea and juice are available. The "breakfast area" is also open all day (without food) for tea and coffee. Free wifi is a plus, and the unique room service menu looks good, if you are someone who orders room service. The hotel is noticeably full of Europeans. Not just those that work here, but those that stay. The maid that was here in 2010 was still here in 2013. Overall, I can't say anything bad about this place. read more

Summary: Great QPR on a weekend stay. Recommended. The rest of the story: Had to book a room for the weekend on short notice - about 8 days out. Intended to bring my wife and 5 year old. Knew we wouldn't spend much time in the room. I'm too old to stay in some total fleabag - but young enough to walk everywhere for dinner or even to midtown/uptown. This place was the cheapest acceptable option on Kayak.com (and others). I went to book it, and Kayak said no more rooms. Undeterred I went to the hotel website, and found a room for just $10 more (still $70-80/night less than the other acceptable options). The room was clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. And family friendly too. (no dirty looks for our 5 year old, just smiles ... of course that might be cuz he got his daddy's good looks :-) The included breakfast was heavy on fattening, highly average pastries ... but what did you want for free? Plenty of other options, and lots of Starbux, are nearby. It was easy to drive in/out for weekend (parking across the street). We enjoyed the quiet location. And even though we were far from the places we figured we'd go visit, it was just a few blocks to the 4 line - which we rode uptown, to set up for a nice long walk by some touron stuff on the way back "home." This was a really great stay. It's our second time in Manhattan, so I only have as a basis of comparison the Four Point Sheraton in Chelsea. The room was clean, the queen-sized bed was nice, and the bathroom was nice and well lit, with a working fan. The climate control was excellent. Our corner room (#307) had plenty of windows yet it was dark enough to sleep with shades drawn. The room had a built-in iron and ironing board, a huge plus since we didn't have to wait for room service to bring up a board. Room also had a safe and small refrigerator, really excellent. Debbie lost her toothbrush, and the front desk had a free toothbrush for her. That was nice. I couldn't get the Ethernet-cabled Internet to work. When partiers started hooting down in the street below, we heard them loud and clear, so soundproofing was clearly an issue. 9 S. Williams is on a one-way street, which was blocked at the far end by construction equipment. Taxis have to either back up the length of the street to get you out, or ride over the sidewalk. Errr, but blame New York for that. The lobby staff was courteous and helpful, and we were able to leave our bags with the lobby for our final hours on Sunday before the airport (a quick trip to East Village to visit Katz's Deli). We really loved this hotel, but the big issue is that it's in the Financial District. Egads, we had to take taxis everywhere. The hotel was $100 a night cheaper than other good options, but we ate some of that up in longer taxi rides around town. For where we were going, the subway was not cutting it. When we wanted a drink, the Ulysses bar is conveniently across the street. read more

We loved our stay at the Wall Street Inn. We purchased two rooms, for two nights, via a package deal on Orbitz. Including two flights from Denver, and one from Chicago, we paid about 400 per person for a fun Girl weekend in New York City. Honestly, the Wall Street Inn was much nicer than I expected, considering what we were paying. The rooms are large, and they booked our two rooms right next to each other, with a common entrance. My mom stole the HUGE corner room with the King sized bed. My sister and I had the two full size beds, which was good, because my sister is a total cover stealer and kicker. We probably could have squeezed the three of us in one room, but having the two wasn't much more expensive, and was much nicer! We only had a few problems: 1. If you plan on spending most of your time uptown, you really are in the middle of nowhere. However, there are a ton of train lines. The weekend we were there, a lot of them were shut down, which wasn't helpful. 2. For some weird reason, trash men loaded a huge dumpster right out our window for 3 hours, starting at 4 am. I slept through it, but my mom and sister said it was loud. 3. There isn't much closet space - you can definitely tell that the average person who stays here is a guy with two suits, tops. read more

"Not too Shabby" I booked through my AE and the price was decent. I canceled one night because had to catch a bus back to DC. My AE travel agent said they could not get me two beds with one night reservation. I got there, checked out the room. My cousin said, no I cannot sleep in the same bed as you. Went right back down stairs and they gave us a room with two beds right away with no charge. I was so glad this had happen, because during the night my cousin was kicking and screaming(which woke me up). They left complimentary chocolates as well. Which my cousin ate it right away. It was there tenth year anniversary as well, so they also gave me a free tote bag which was pretty nice of them. They do not give you cheap soap to bath with. I actually wanted to go and ask them if I can have some to go. Location wise... Great! It had a whole bunch or restaurants and one of them turned into a night club at night time. If we went and got drunk, we could've just had walk a few buildings down and there is the hotel. We walked out, on a quest for food. We found Pranzo's Pizza. I think when I bite into the slice, I was on pizza heaven for a moment. But back to the hotel. Yes great location. I would suggest checking out deals on different websites. I think I got a 30% off on top of the additional price that they were already offering me. Which was really nice. I only paid about 120 a night for 2 beds. Nice hotel, clean and spacious for Financial District. The lobby is relatively large and they serve their continental breakfast in the back every morning. I was staying here for a wedding which was nice because it was walking distance from the reception place, but I took one star away due to the staff misplacing some of our things that were delivered for us (a groomsman gift, my dress that was dry cleaned for me). It caused me some stress but once it was all clarified, it was fine. It's very close to a lot of sites, like the Stock Exchange, Federal building, World Trade Center, and shopping like Century 21, Tiffany's, etc. read more

My sheets felt sticky, which was kind of a turn off. Despite having shades, the room didn't get very dark so I was wide awake with the sun at 6am. We decided to go a little crazy and walk from the hotel to Rockefeller Center which my quads and calves are not thanking me for at ALL today!! The room was a nice size and my boyfriend and I were quite comfortable. The only "complaint" would be to increase water pressure in the shower and actually activate the internet. This is a nice smaller hotel in the Wall Street or Financial District part of NYC. I found a great deal (like $240 for 1 night) on a random website. I was a bit apprehensive but when I arrived all my doubts vanished. The lobby and the room are clean and spacious and well appointed. Our good sized room was comfortable although the bathroom was tiny. This is not a trendy design boutique hotel - the decor is kind of old fashioned and there little things here and there that could use an upgrade but overall it is nice and more than adequate. The staff was helpful and friendly. Although it is not really that convenient to the rest of the city if you are in this area for a reason (we were visiting friends who live in that part of town), you probably cannot beat this price especially when you consider what you get. Other people in town for the same event paid more to stay at a Best Western which did not sound as nice. read more

I stayed here recently, and this hotel more than met all of my expectations. The location is great for those exploring Statue of Liberty, Downtown, Midtown and Brooklyn. My wife and I stayed here with our children, and we all walked to Brooklyn Heights via Brooklyn Bridge. It is a longer walk, but it is a lot of fun, and I would highly recommend it. Greenwich Village, Chinatown and Little Italy are all either a very short subway ride away or a long walk away, depending on how much time you have. The hotel itself is in a very nice area, with great restaurants on the nearby Stone Street. The hotel staff were nice, and our room and bathroom were clean, which was great, although we spent very little time in there and a lot of time exploring the city. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was great, and it offered cereal, waffles, bagels, and croissants, among other options. Even though I prefer exploring the city and dining at local restaurants, having three meals outside is not very budget-friendly, so I welcomed the opportunity to start my day with breakfast at the hotel. When we were given a choice between this hotel and the Andaz Wall Street for a wedding in town, we figured they'd probably be of the same caliber. If I had known more about the vibe of the Wall Street Inn, I probably wouldn't have chosen it so quickly, but then again it wasn't a terrible experience by any means. I guess it's just that when you're a couple of young people staying in the big city for a weekend you want more of a vibe and fun experience in your hotel. As it was, the Wall Street Inn was just fine for our needs and the staff was very sweet. But it definitely didn't lend much glamour to our NY trip. The place has a very old school vibe. The exterior of the building is beautiful (and just around the corner from the fun part of Stone Street), but inside you can tell it hasn't been renovated or redecorated in a long time. It's more of a parent/grandparent type of place, with lots of floral upholstery, and some creepy paintings of Victorian families in the hallway. (the 7th floor has this hilarious one of this cross-eyed kid that greeted us every morning and night.) The room itself is decently roomy with a comfy bed and big bathroom, though again the decor left a lot to be desired. I really liked that there were two plush bathrobes in the room and that the mirror in the bathroom had one of those things where the square above the sink never gets fogged up. Pretty cool! The room also came with a dehumidifier that was nice but filled up like every hour or so... NYC is muggy!!!! I had a couple of complaints about my experience at the end of the weekend: first, I was pretty disappointed in their 'continental breakfast.' As a well-known cheapskate, I love when room rates include a free breakfast, and I rushed down eagerly that first morning to find that it was nothing more than a pile of pastries, a couple boxes of cereal and a bowl of hard boiled eggs. That would have actually been ok except that there wasn't nearly enough room for everyone to eat or even get their food, and it was really awkward and inconvenient with everyone fighting for space. The second complaint was when we asked them to hold our bags after checking out. They said their closet was full so they'd use a conference room and lock it up to make sure no one took our bags. When we came back hours later, they were still sitting there but the door definitely wasn't locked and the new front door people didn't even check to make sure we were the rightful owners of the bag. I was disappointed. Every time I asked the front desk for help with something (a cab to another part of the city that wasnt the airport, a bathrobe), I got a "sorry...no, we cant do that" with a blank look and a helpless shrug of the shoulders. Theres zero hospitality here. Plus, they just watched us struggle to open the door with all our luggage, until we had to yell for help and they still made us wait, yelled again and then they moseyed on over. Ugh. They do not go out of their way for you at all, even when nicely asked, Ive experienced better service at almost every other hotel Ive stayed at. Sorry. read more
