Phenomenal food and fantastic service It's a wine connoisseur's dream! They have any and every wine/ champagne you could dream of by the bottle or glass.... top notch liquor too for those that don't drink wine and the menu is extensive! If you don't want to get appetizers and put a cheese, bread, meat board together, you have extensive entrées to choose from and big size portions!! The service was great especially Jay our bus boy he was phenomenal even better then the waitress they need to make him a waiter! It's always a great place to come and have drinks and people watch. It's always packed, lots of great people watching, its very busy on the weekends. They have a special weekend brunch menu that's different than the regular menu. There is also a fresh meat and cheese deli in the back as well as a wine/champagne shop . They also have private rooms in the back of the restaurant, but the regular seating is communal style. We shared delicious truffle fries topped with huge pieces of truffles shaved and grated Parmesan. We also shared the Wally burger which is delicious. It's a mix of Wagyu ground beef deliciously seasoned with lettuce, caramelized onions, and a fried green tomato on a brioche bun, and lastly, the spicy salami Napoleon style pizza also with caramelized onions and honey. From the wine retail side, it's pretty much the worst by far I've experienced over competitors like wine house, K&L, etc. Bought a couple bottles on pre-order. They let me know it arrived. I asked if I could pick it up at their Beverly Hills location. They confirmed, but when I got there they couldn't locate it there or at any other of their other locations. They said they would ship it to me once they located it but 8 weeks later, 4 follow up emails and a few calls, I've received zero responses. I understand things happen but when emailing customer service, one should at least get a response, even if they're still trying to figure it out. "F" for execution. "F" for effort. read more

What truly angers me about Wallys is the way they treat their customers as if they have the right to treat people like garbage. Temperatured at "Medium rare plus", it came pre-sliced, flaked with fresh black truffle shavings, layered with thin potato frites between each slice, and laying on the bed of the bone. 2 stars only because our waitress actually tried so hard at the end of our meal to make it right and ALSO because the cauliflower was great. That said...horrible. Wally's has become a place that I take my two daughters to about once a month. We look forward to each visit as we drive about an hour to eat here. We were greeted right away and sat right by the front door, the very first table to the right; it was brisk and windy outside. As soon as we were sat, we realized we were going to be affected by the wind chill. Every time the front door opened we would get a blast of cold air which made it rather uncomfortable. The restaurant was busy and it didn't look like there was anywhere to move so my younger daughter came and sat next to me, the three of us were sitting on one side of the table, kind of huddled behind the post. No big deal, we were making it work, we didn't complain and we didn't ask to move. Now on to the story- Our original server greeted us about 10 minutes after we sat down. We ordered water, a glass of iced tea, a glass of wine and two appetizers. My older daughter, who is nine months pregnant, ordered the iced tea, after asking for her tea from 2 different employees, it arrived after our lunch was served. When the appetizers were finished, we flagged down another server to order our lunch, he said 'ok' then walked away and 5 minutes later our server appeared. Our food arrived in a timely fashion, however, the Wagu Steak Frittes was grossly under cooked. We ordered it medium and it came out almost raw. while waiting for our server to check on our meal so I could ask to have the steak cooked a bit more, the hostess approached our table and asked my nine month pregnant daughter to move so she could seat a party of two at our table. Now mind you, we still had our appetizer plates, lunch plates, two purses and a notebook on the table, there wasn't any room on the table to add another plate, let alone two more people! At this same time, we flagged down a busboy and asked to have our steak cooked a bit more, he was obviously irritated but he took the plate back to he kitchen. I explained to the hostess that we were all sitting on the same side of the table because of the wind chill from the front door constantly opening and closing and that I wasn't going to have my nine-month pregnant daughter sit directly in the cold chill. My daughter is literally half-way though eating her salmon and we were waiting for the re-cooked steak. The hostess then informed us that this wasn't "our table" it was a "communal table" and that we needed to move so she could seat another party at the small, already crowded, table. It was very surreal and we weren't exactly sure what was happening. My daughter got up to move and then said "no I'm not going to sit in the wind, let me finish eating and we will leave". Needless to say, we didn't finish our lunch, we never even got to eat the re-cooked steak. I asked to speak with a manager and by that time the sever appeared with our check, and a food runner appeared with the cooked meat. The server said the manager was busy "Coaching the hostess". Whatever... The server offered to comp our entire meal which we declined; she did however, take off the Wagu Steak Frittes that we never ate. I love the place, but one time, I came here with a group of people after the fight, the guys I was with wanted vodka drinks, the waiter who first served us, gave us an cocky attitude and made some sarcastic comment, maybe because it's supposed to be a wine bar, but they do have a full bar, then my girlfriend who's a regular there got upset and went to talk to the manager and we got another server. I just came here this past Saturday for lunch with my friend, good service, everybody was nice, all the food was good especially the ones with truffle I love truffle! The only things were 1. It took so long to bring our starter dish: baked brie and truffle sandwich, the place was't that crowded, so maybe they forgot about it, because everything else came pretty quick. And 2. We ordered a burger and our waiter told us we can upgrade it to truffle fries which we did, I just can't say no to truffle, but I wish he would've told me the price for the upgrade, because our burger and upgraded truffle fries were $41... Today I walked in to reserve for 3, the place was no packed like usual. The lady looked at me and told me to come back when the whole party is here. I asked told her they're outside and id like to reserve for 3. She looked down at my pants and started to talk to the bouncer saying, are those Nike sweats, sorry we don't allow those here, you can sit outside. I told her the reservation wasn't for me, it was for my sister and her 2 friends. As I was saying that she wasn't even looking at me and completely disregarded me. Then I asked, do you at least have a wait or can they just walk in, completely disregarding me called the bouncer by her and he came to my face turning on his body camera. We got here around 8:30pm on a Saturday night to put our name down to be seated. The female hostess advised us that they are no longer accepting walk-ins, and they are completely booked for the evening. We had been here many times before, and never had an issue, so I asked, if the wait to be seated exceeded 4 hours, since they close around 1am, and she said, her orders come from her manager. However, a friend of mine, walked in just 30 minutes later, and put his name down to be seated after about an hour wait (i saw him walking around as we were waiting to be seated at Il Pastaio.) Well, hello Yelp World! At 65 years young I'm proud to say that this is officially my first yelp review. I had such a great time at Wallys and my family says it's time for me to jump into the new age so hear it goes.... I've been in town visiting my family and was brought to this scrumptious little restaurant for my birthday dinner, after getting turned down at other places without reservations. I was a bit overwhelmed when we first walked in, but had such a warm welcome from this sweet hostess named Rebecca. She even wished me a happy birthday after seeing my bday gma pin on my jacket...! . I was impressed she even caught it as I was really taking in all of the wine on display - what a beautiful establishment for any Vino drinkers out there. We didn't realize how busy it would be, but the hostess was so sweet and made sure to find us a nice table outside that was next to a heater, and boy was it a lifesaver! We put in some drinks and appetizers that were absolutely delicious! Our waiter was really helpful and had recommended the steak tartare, which was sooo yummy - definitely recommend. We also got a couple of pizzas which I think the truffle pizza will go down as one of my all time favorites. The restaurant looked very busy, and quite hip spot, so we were so happy to get to celebrate and enjoy the evening. I went back inside to try and find the ladies room, and sure enough the sweet little doll of a hostess Rebecca saw me in the crowd and read my mind, pointing my in the direction of the ladies room. What a keeper! For my first time eating here I have to say I was really impressed by this cute little restaurant from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. The staff were all so sweet and all looked like they could be in motion pictures, all the way to that leading lady at the front hostess who was so sweet. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a lovely meal and night out. I had such a great time this trip out to LA and at this place Wally's, that I made my grandson spend two hours showing me how to work this application. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review but the management needs to teach staff how to serve a high end steak. I ordered the powerhouse steak $165, I was excited to try this steak since the server thought it was one of the high end cuts. By the way the server was very kind and helpful. But the steak was cold and rubbery. I kept myself busy eating the truffle fries and the red wine. At first I didn't mentioned it to the server since he was very nice and tried hard to please us. But I realized he must know to prevent this from happening. It's disrespectful for the the poor cow to be served cold and rubbery. I try not to eat red meat to much but when I do I try to get the best red meat and expect it to be done well. I feel so bad for writing this review but unfortunately this is the only way to get the managers attention cause I couldn't get it at the restaurant to save my life. I never write any bad reviews so this is a 1st for me, but deserved. I love this place, truly do, but I won't visit this place anytime soon. The hostess greeted my wife and I in the most disrespectful and demeaning manner. I had never been told (in not the exact words) to basically take a hike. When my wife asked the hostess about our table, the hostess gave our table away in front of us because we told her to give us a minute to double check with our friends if they'd be comfortable sitting at a high top. I had asked to speak with the manager to which the hostess laughed in my face and rolled her eyes. When we sat at the table we had requested to speak to the manager numerous times and not once were we approached by any management. This was truly the worst service and attention I had ever received from any restaurant. It's unfortunate, because the food and the cocktails are great, obviously the wine speaks for itself, and it's a chic ambience with beautiful people. I really enjoyed Wally's this time. Good service, the staffs were very friendly. The ambience here is a huge plus for me, totally reminded me of restaurants in NYC! I had the grilled quail, truffle pasta in white sauce, and steak. The grilled quail was delicious! Meat was very tender, the sauce was tasty. The ravioli in the grilled quail were super flavorful! Followed by my favorite dish of the night- white truffle pasta. The 100 dollar pasta definitely put a big smile on my face. It was very simple, just white sauce with cheese and the whole thing was covered in truffle (heaven)! Steak was so yummy, by then I was very full from the pasta so I barely finished one slice of steak. But I must say the steak was done just right, it was true medium rare- Just the way I like it. Super disappointed in my experience this Easter Sunday. As a long time customer who went in expecting good service along with this newly advertised champagne cart that was promoted on their Instagram, I expected to be offered along with enjoying the benefit of this service. Instead I received slow and inattentive waiter/bartender as well as there being a cart for Bloody Mary's that I had to flag down myself, along with a drawn out meal experience. When I finally asked about the champagne cart advertised online, they told me they had no idea what I was speaking about despite the cart being clearly visible at the entrance (see photo). I then later saw Ben, our waiter, speaking about it with the manager (not sure of her name, but she was the blonde manager on duty in a baby blue shirt) who pointed to our table and then the cart I had spoken about and asked about. Their team then proceeded to move the cart out of our view and away from guests Service sometimes isn't 100% and that is not the issue here. As a business please stop falsely advertising and selectively serving your guest at your Beverly Hills location!! Our table spent over $400 for mediocre service and false advertising! read more

Wally's is great!! I love wine, and Wally's has walls and walls of wine bottles from everywhere on this continent. However, I decided to keep my PH 7.0 intact so no wine, no cheese. Heck, what else is there if one goes to Wally's not for the wine and cheese?? Well, I was amazed by the food there. Everyone should pay some serious attention to the great food here!! Since Wally's does not take reservation, we were lucky that there were 2 very intimate tables in the back ready and waiting for us. Communal tables are available, but they were nice enough to give us some quiet time. Immediately after we ordered, we were served with their Amuse Bouche (made with cheese on the house, YUM!). After the yummy amuse bouche, we had the Cauliflower made with curry, almonds ($16, very good btw), The King ($15, smoked salmon sandwich, YUM!) along with their Pommes Frites with house made ketchup ($8, yum too!). Our server Alexis G was very nice and attentive. Wally's is very accommodating with the allergies. Highly recommend this place, and so glad that it's just down the street from me!!! read more

What a horror. Worst service I've ever experienced. A group of us came here for my best friend's birthday. Initially we went to a table in the back and ordered drinks. After we finished the first round of drinks, some of the people in our group wanted to check out the scene at the bar that's up at the front. Not thinking anything of it, several of us went over to the bar- for a brief moment (while two of the people in our group stayed at the table). We were planning on coming right back to our table. We had only been over at the bar for 5 minutes before our waiter came up to us saying "no one is sitting at your table anymore, and I would really like to make some money tonight" with this statement there was also a subtle, but clear, insinuation that he thought we were going to dine and dash. Even though when I walked back over to our table one of our friends was still sitting at our table. I guess they had gone to the bathroom while we were up? Well maybe if the waiter had been paying any attention to our table he would have noticed that being the case. Instead he chose to create a dramatic, unnecessary situation. If he had just played it cool and not immediately freaked out everything would have been fine and he would have made his money, but by being presumptuous and rude he didn't make any tips. Self fulfilling prophecy. I don't pay for attitude boo. When we, in a calm and respectful manner, called him out for his behavior HE, instead of having an adult conversation with us, immediately pulled a Karen said he would send the manager over and abruptly turned and left the table. No one in the group wanted it to go there, but there we were... 20 minutes passed and the manager finally appeared at our table. We explained the situation and he apologized and said he would send a complementary birthday dessert for my friend to make up for the trouble. Get this. When this "special" dessert arrived it's just three pitiful scoops of plain vanilla ice cream. The saddest apology dessert I've ever seen. It seriously felt like a joke he was pulling on us! Well! We look over to where the manager and the rude, instigating waiter were standing (huddled in the corner) and talking. We saw them glance several times at us and they were clearly snickering at my friends and I. It made a bad situation worse. For the rest of the night ALL the servers ignored us and didn't bother to get drinks for us that we wanted to order. My friend's boyfriend finally had to get up and get a server to give us our bill. We still would have been sitting there if he didn't- I'm sure. This is supposed to be a classy spot, but instead of professionalism we were forced to interact with a manager and a waiter who were the embodiments of vindictive, petty children. I loved watching the cheesemongers, who really seemed on their game. Here's the deal: GET the: imported buffalo milk burrata, crushed fava bean pesto, tempura squash blossom, grilled country bread. Period. I don't really eat bread/carbs--but this dish made it worth it! When trying to take some home/manage my dishes at the tiny two-top--a server offered to take the plate--but I was still trying to get the lovely pesto out--he moved on, and I gently called out to him I was ready now--as there's no where to put the plate on those blasted tiny freaking tables. Out of nowhere an elegant black man offered to take it. I was flummoxed for a moment, cause he wasn't staff (normally dressed)--but accepted his nice offer. I realized he must be management. We have contacted Wally's several times to see if it would be available for a private event we would like to host in the fall. The scenery is nice, however if you're meeting friends to converse with its loud & hard to hear each other. Our service was poor because our waiter was leaving and we had to request a few times to be introduced to another waiter. There are limited meat options and it's very pricey. The meat options are $100 and up. read more
