Where to start... Service fantastic . Pastries: the coffee eclair and lemon meringue tart are my favorite but in actuality haven't had a bad one yet from here. If you like Brie and a touch of sweet for lunch: the Ultimate Brie on a baguette is to die for. Coffee is delicious - don't need to add any sweeteners or flavors. Enjoy it black or with milk. Cute cafe type of setting, so seating is small & limited. Highly recommend.

A truly authentic French bakery. From brunch to dessert, they have it all. Buttery croissants, a variety of tarts, classic French pastries like canelés and macarons--everything is done right. The truffle grilled cheese and salmon tartine are highly recommended for brunch. And yes, the coffee is really good too. Must-try items: The Maclair (new menu item!) -- a macaron + éclair combo     Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and totally unique     You won't find this anywhere else--so good! Salmon tartine Truffle grilled cheese Canelé -- crispy outside, moist inside

Small French bakery / cafe located in on Pico in West LA (not too far from the Fox Studio lot). The space is pretty tiny and slightly hidden with a pretty large tree out front (if I recall correctly), but whether you're sitting right outside or once you walk in, this place exudes Parisian charm. I was in the area and wanted a light afternoon bite and pick up a baguette to make ham and butter sandwiches for the next day. I came in and was greeted by the friendliest gentleman (possibly owner?) and ordered a croissant and cafe au lait to enjoy there while getting a baguette to go. The croissant was buttery, flaky, and most importantly delicious. The coffee was great as well. And I definitely did enjoy my baguette ham and butter sandwiches the next day while watching some NFL football because you know, it's a nice traditional food while watching American Football, lol. But really, the baked goods here are great. Although I didn't order them this time, there were delightful looking desserts that were also available (maybe next time!). There were also more savory options available as well, but didn't look too closely at them because I already had an idea of what I wanted during my visit. Just a wonderful gem in West LA and at the time of my visit, there was a lot of street metered parking in the surrounding area.

For our wedding, my husband and I wanted French tartelettes instead of a traditional wedding cake. They would represent how we got engaged in France, but also reflect my husband's family ties there. We found Ludivine Paris online and after taste testing a few of their tartelettes, we decided they were the ones we wanted to go with. We loved their tartelettes so much we opted to get the regular size vs the mini sizes they do for catering. All of our guests absolutely loved the tarts! We got orders of the chocolate, lemon meringue, almond pear and custom mixed berries with crème pâtissière. To this day friends comment on how good the dessert was, and I honestly think of how tasty they were, too. We cannot thank Ludivine Paris enough for making our wedding order and completing it all on time! Whenever we are near by I am tempted to swing by and get a treat. So far we have mostly only gotten tartelettes from here. We'll have to try some of their other treats in the future.

On a cloudy Saturday morning (today) I decided to head out to a Parisian Bakery... I had heard that this place had Mariage Freres muslin Tea pouches for purchase. The pastries were gorgeous! and the longer I was there, the more I watched people come in and get the Macarons to go. I ordered the Avocado Toast with a poached egg (note: ask for it with runny egg if that is your preference - yea, yea I KNOW what a poached egg is SUPPOSED to come out like ) anyhoo if you've never been to this bakery I highly recommend a trip to see all of their delicious delights. Better yet... if you want to make an impression at a potluck? Bring in one of their beautiful tarts! Close by, street parking and seating out on the sidewalk, if having a seat outside on a sunny day is your jam. There are also 4 cafe tables indoors and oh yea they have a pantry of goodies for your picnic basket. I will return. Respectfully Reviewed.

TL;DR: Parking: Easy if you go a few blocks into the residential area. Sandwiches: Tuna = lighter, protein-packed, super fresh. Paris Roma = richer, with burrata, pesto, and high-quality olive oil. Mediterranean chips had unique seasoning. Pastries: Canelé - tasty but not as crisp as fresh. St. Honoré - the standout, silky cream + airy choux. Raspberry macaron - beautiful but very sweet. Éclair - classic, chocolatey, perfect. Atmosphere: Lunch rush around 12:30 but clears out quickly. No long waits like Porto's. Overall: 9/10. Great food, cozy vibe, and frickin' solid date spot. OKAY, Now here is the long version. Buckle up! I'll start with the parking. I drove from Long Beach to Santa Monica, where Ludivine Paris French Bakery is. Took about 35 minutes without traffic, so definitely 405 traffic is a bit of a bitch sometimes....#lavibes Parking-wise, there are a couple spots on the map that say "public parking," but if you go to the residential area kind of behind where the restaurant is and go down a few blocks, you can find some pretty decent parking. I had no issues there, so that's definitely a plus. I arrived promptly at lunchtime around 12 to meet my friend, who is French, and he basically did all the ordering. I actually don't know what we ordered at first--we definitely got some sandwiches, and they were fucking bomb. We ordered the tuna sandwich and the Paris Roma, and we split both. Then we got an éclair, a St. Honoré (that's the choux pastry cream dessert), a big raspberry macaron, and a canelé (the little caramelized pastry). Sandwiches The tuna sandwich was my favorite, and I went for that one because it was the only thing on the menu with more protein. I like eating a bit like a powerlifter, so I gravitate toward that. The flavors were very forward--the olives brought a lot of intensity along with the tuna, and the basil was super fresh. The bread was excellent, not stale at all. We also got the Mediterranean chips with it, which had way more flavor than regular Lay's. They definitely had a unique seasoning blend. The Paris Roma was something I don't usually order, but it tasted like something you'd get in Europe. The burrata, basil, and pesto came forward beautifully, and the olive oil tasted very high quality. Honestly, flavor-wise, the Paris Roma probably edged out the tuna sandwich, but it was heavier. The tuna would be my go-to for a lighter option. Pastries Now, onto the pastries--this is where things stood out compared to the usual LA staples. Canelé: This was the first thing we tried. It's that little fluted cake with a caramelized outside and custardy inside. My friend, who is also a baker, pointed out it wasn't as crispy as it should be since it had been sitting out a bit. Still delicious though. I had the top, he had the bottom. St. Honoré: The big cream puff pastry. This was honestly one of the most luxurious things I've eaten in a long time. The cream was perfectly smooth, no grainy sugar texture, and chilled just enough to be refreshing despite being rich. The choux pastry had great texture and airiness. Raspberry macaron: Beautiful, but very sweet. Between the almond shell, the cream, and the fresh raspberries, it was a lot. I didn't finish mine, but I'm glad I tried it--it's the kind of pastry you admire in a display case and rarely order. Chocolate éclair: A classic and perfectly executed. The choux was soft but not soggy, the chocolate glaze was rich, and the cream filling was smooth. I did finish this one because I have zero self control for chocolate. Atmosphere We ordered right at noon, and by 12:30 the place was packed. By the time we finished, it had emptied out again, so the crowd definitely comes in waves. Luckily, we didn't have to wait long for food. It's not like Porto's where you're waiting in a huge line, which is a big plus. Final Thoughts Overall, I highly recommend Ludivine Bakery. Great sandwiches, gorgeous pastries, and a cozy atmosphere. 9/10. I'll definitely be back--this spot has serious date potential.

Ordered cappuccino, café latte and their banana walnut bread slice. Food is amazing, service is exceptional and if you love sitting out in sun and having coffee is one of the best cafés around. Thanks!

If I can give this bakery more stars, I would. Absolutely everything about this place from the food to the ambience was beautiful. The outdoor seating had plenty of room and the indoor transports you to France. I asked the owner, Samuel and Ludivine, for recommendations which they made sure my office had a little bit of everything. I separately tried their pain au chocolate and it was to die for. The layers between the croissant were noticeable instead of flat like other bakeries in the area. The eclairs were so fresh and make your whole day with just one bite. If I had to recommend an amazing pastry and lunch spot, this would be my first pick. The employees were friendly and the owners are amazing. Great hospitality and amazing food isn't something you find easy in this world anymore. After my first experience today, i'll be a returning customer. Thank you for the amazing experience!

    The G.O.A.T Tartine
    Elaine S.

I'd come back for the the G.O.A.T Tartine. The goat cheese and orange blossom honey fused together so deliciously, and the sourdough bread was the right flavor accent to end each bite. The rest - quiche and the Tuniçois - were decent but not too memorable. I recommend this place for an easygoing, informal brunch. The place is small and it was a slow day, so the guy who took our orders also brought us our food. Overall, it was a cute place to take my mom!

    Pain au chocolat
    Pascal L.

First, speaking French at a patisserie is a definite plus. Then, i have to give huge props for using "pain au chocolat" and not "chocolate croissant". They are not the same things, and if it does not have the crescent shape, it definitely is not a croissant. So thanks for not giving up on using the appropriate name. Talking about pain an chocolat, it met my expectations of a good pastry: flaky layers, a rich, dark chocolate core, buttery pastry. Perfect start to my day. Slight hiccup though. 5$ per... there is no egg in traditional croissant dough so not sure if this is normal price. Let's just say it is a bit stiff... Now to my favorite: the cannelés were awesome. The crisp, caramelized shell gave way to a soft, custardy interior, a delightful textural contrast. The crunchy sugary crust is the sign of a skilled pastry chef. Nice subtle notes of rum and vanilla. Great example of this classic pastry you don't see often even in France.

The service was absolutely on pointe thanks to Kaiya, Teri, and Randy. Warm, polished, attentive, and just the right amount of fun. Hubs and I split everything, which was the right move because this meal was rich, delicious, and very filling. We started with the baguette bread service, which is an additional charge but 100% worth it. The bread, salted butter, and mixed berry spread were pure France in a basket. Next up was the French onion soup, and wow. Cheesy, full of flavor, with a beautiful broth that somehow managed to be rich without being too salty. Perfection. Then came the Big Mec burger, as seen on Food Network's top burgers -- and yes, it absolutely lives up to the hype. Definitely enough for two. Perfectly seasoned patties, melty cheese, a fresh brioche bun, and that bordelaise sauce bath underneath? Flavor-forward, decadent, and unforgettable. We rounded out the meal with a slice of French toast because apparently we make excellent life choices. Also delicious, also worth sharing. This was not just lunch -- it was an experience. Will I go back? Absolument! Next up: dinner.

Got seated on the patio on a beautiful day, so we were perfectly happy. After a quick glance at the menu, our recommendations from our server, we decided to order. We started with the escargot, as one does at a French restaurant, and the French onion soup. The escargot cube bathed in butter, garlic and parsley and were very tasty. I mean, how can they not be when bathed in garlic and butter? The French onion soup was also delicious with ample gruyere cheese overflowing. Pure indulgence! For entrees, we all tried something different. The steak frites were.... steak frites. If you've tried one, you've tried most, so not very memorable. The duck confit was cooked well and not overly fatty, which was nice. The omelette, let me say, is beautiful to look at. You almost don't want to touch it because it is very picrure-esque, and absolutely cooked perfectly. A, dare I say, perfect omelette. Finally was the Big Mec. Now, there are a lot of good burgers in Los Angeles, but the Big Mec is one of the greats. So much flavor with the double wagyu patties, cheese, special sauce all while sitting in a Bordelaise sauce. It isn't something you would eat every day, as it is heavy, but it is phenomenal when you do. I'd say one of the top five burgers in Los Angeles, in my humble opinion. Overall, delicious French restaurant in Hollywood, a little above Hancock Park, serving delicious food. Get the escargot and French onion soup to start, and definitely get the omelette and the Big Mec, you will not be disappointed.

She chose this place for the Instagram worthy atmosphere you see online, but I would say it falls a little short of how picturesque it is. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice garden setup up, but we were expecting a more romantic and whimsical layout. We also noticed that the dress code is very loosely enforced as there were numerous people there with T shirts on. We got there for our reservation about 15 minutes early and was seated quite fast. The hostesses at the front were quite friendly and the wait staff were attentive and mostly nice. One of our servers seemed a little curt at one point, but it wasn't too bad. Once you are seated they ask about your drink order, and offered wines, sparkling water, and literally said "tap water". Pretty surprised that they said tap water, but we went with a glass of wine and sparkling water. The menu is short and it's easy to make your decision. We went with the 24oz Prime Ribeye Steak, Pappardelle pasta, Kingfish Crudo, and the Portuguese Piri Piri Shrimp. The ribeye was served with scalloped potatoes and green beans that were delicious. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare, tender, and served in a very balanced sauce. The Piri Piri Shrimp was also great. Large pieces in a slightly spicy cream sauce; I would describe it as almost a Cajun flavor. These were my favorites of the dishes we ordered on this night. The Kingfish Crudo was a nice choice. I believe it was yellowtail served with small pieces of cherry tomatoes and peach chunks. The sauce was nice and refreshing with a little sweetness. The Pappardelle Pasta was ok, and probably my least favorite dish of the night. It wasn't bad, but wasn't on par with the rest of our meal. The thick pasta noodles were al dente, and the sauce was nice and creamy with pieces of green beans. It got better once we mixed the poached egg into the sauce, but still didn't get it to the point where we would order it again. Since it was my fiancé's birthday, she wanted to get one of their desserts served as a small birthday. She saw pictures of their passion fruit coconut cheesecake on Instagram and wanted that, but they changed it where the passion fruit was at the bottom of the cake. I thought it was decent, but not a great dessert. I thought the staff would at least sing happy birthday like other restaurants, but that didn't happen here. Overall, The Little Door is a small romantic stop to have a date night. I don't know if I would consider it a place to celebrate a special occasion though. I think we would come back, but not for anything big. Also, I would recommend using the valet, it's right in front and they only charge $14 pre tip.

Because Camelia's is one of only like, 3 restaurants on the east side, and pretty much the only one open on Monday (which was the last reasonable day to use this credit - yes, I was panicking, along with apparently 80% of the people who were dining that day). I had made a reservation for a Monday evening for a date night, but my partner had a work emergency, and dang it, the heck if I wasn't going to use this Chase credit! So I figured, no problem. Plan B. I'll just get take out. NEWP. It was Not Allowed (TM). They said the kitchen couldn't accommodate additional take out orders on top of their load that night. I was...a bit perplexed, I guess, because I had made a reservation, so it wasn't...an additional kitchen load? Like, y'all were expecting my party of 2 already? It was..... just putting the food in the box rather than on a plate? Make it make sense. In any case. I planted myself at the bar, made some friends (solo diners who were likewise last minute panicking about making sure to use their Reserve credit), ordered enough food for me and my partner, and as it came out, I just asked them to box it up (yes, I did sneak a couple tastes in). Patrick, who was my server, was fantastic - so kind and understanding. And at the end, Blair the bartender as well as Patrick both helped me make sure my "leftovers" were all there and safely packed for a car ride. Now for the food. Amazing. We got the black sesame rolls with salted butter (SO good), the oyster mushrooms (loved all the flavors on this), the black sesame snap peas (this was nice to get because veggies, but less fun than the others - some of the other dishes just had these lovely complex flavors...this one just sort of had lots of black sesame flavor, which we love, just a bit more straightforward than other stuff). We also got the beef cheek sando that was only available at the bar (delicious and so tender, with a side of picked veggies), the Japanese bolognese (I'm not sure what was Japanese about it, but it was very tasty!), and the seabream.(tender, comes with some sort of mashed something or over that is kind of sweet, and with clams). We might come back in the future for an actual dining experience - the space is cute, and parking isn't horrible. There's valet, but also plenty of parking if you're willing to walk a couple blocks.

Camelia, a restaurant tucked away on corner street on the outer edges of the Arts District. I came…read morehere to take advantage of my $150 restaurant credit through my Chase CC and luckily Camelia had open spots a day before they expire. Overall I thought my EXPERIENCE was solid and the FOOD was decent. Let me break it down. I'll list from best to worst. The pot pie was the standout--it came out piping hot. Medium chunks of scallops and bits of snail. Has a creamy and tart/sour taste from the lemon they serve. The bread on top was flaky. Would order again. 6 dozen oysters (during happy hour 5-6pm)--I haven't had oysters in a while, but the were the best I had in a while. They come with a yuzu type sauce and a tomato based sauce. Both were good. These next three I'll group them together as good/decent but nothing special. The mousse pate was packed with flavor, wish the bread was crispier. Spaghetti I can make this better. Burger was okay with lots of melted cheese and (I think) carmelized onions between a brioche--wish this had more in it. The worse thing was the broccolini. I'm not sure why this is even on the menu. If not for the pot pie, the food alone would be a solid 3. I bumped it up to 4 because of the pot pie, the delicious (and stiff) drinks, and the overall experience.

Let's talk about the food: -Wine and cheese flight- 3 Small Pours Paired with 3 Bites of Cheese (Bright Whites). This was absolutely lovely. The cheese and wine pairings were perfection. This was served with crackers and a baguette. My favorite cheese was the brie, it was super creamy. -Poulpe Aux Pistou- Octopus with white beans, and pesto. I do not recommend this item. The beans were a little undercooked and the octopus was chewy. I should've returned it. -Nicoise Salad- My friend had this salad and said this was one of the best ones she's ever had. The assortment of ingredients was perfect. Service was friendly but our server was running around with a large section. Our wines did not come out until after the food was delivered, and the appetizers were not coursed. I don't blame her for the lack of service as she was doing her best. The buss boys were really nice and helpful and we were able to ask for help as needed.

The owners added to the warmth of the space genuinely welcoming, the kind of presence that makes a place feel personal rather than polished-for show. The sea bass was the standout: perfectly crisped skin, buttery and delicate underneath, resting over earthy lentils that soaked up every bit of flavor. Paired with a smooth Malbec, it all came together effortlessly. But honestly, the best part of the night wasn't just the food or the wine. it was the company. The soft candlelight, a shared table, and her next to me made everything taste better. A spot that feels intimate without trying too hard. Definitely coming back.

You even get to select your own knife made in France if you order the ribeye. Amuse-bouche: perfect cheesy bite Onion tartine: I can't stop thinking about this. It's SO good! Sourdough bread, topped with French cheeses and a gravy, like a deconstructed French onion soup. Devine. Endive Salad: a light, refreshing Cesar salad with a passion fruit twist. Tartare: Made perfectly flavorful, paired with a basil leaf coated in - light tempura batter, delicious. Ribeye: Tender and juicy. Mushroom Pithivier: Who knew mushrooms could be cooked in such a buttery, flavorful way wrapped up in a delicate heavenly pastry. Potatoes: Again, who knew little potatoes could be cooked in a way that makes each bite taste so creamy, yet simple, but so delicious?! Asparagus with Bernaise sauce: Cooked perfectly. Lobster Risotto: Creamy, tomato-based sauce, with perfectly cooked risotto topped with delectable lobster. Le Burger and pommes fritte: The burger is so juicy, rich is flavor, the meat literally melts in your mouth. The fries are too salty. Kiwi: Unfortunately I'm allergic and couldn't try it, but everyone in my party LOVED it. Bread pudding: I've never had dark chocolate baked into a bread pudding and it's the best bread pudding I've ever had. Yum! Paired with vanilla ice cream. Extra yum! The space was lovely, quiet during the start but average chatter once the restaurant filled up. For parking: either valet, try your luck on street parking or there's garage parking across the street. Food was overall delicious. All the starters we ordered were great: oysters (not pictured) were also delicious. The scallops dish was by far my favorite, the lobster was slightly overcooked for our liking, ribeye a tad salty for me but my bf enjoyed it. The potatoes were better than we anticipated as far as potatoes go lol thanks to the creme fraiche. The desserts were tasty, the kiwi was refreshing, the tart was standard. As far as facilities go: there were 2 separate all gender restrooms which include a bidet. I was able to handle the bill smoothly through the In-Kind app. Almost forgot to mention, the drinks were great too!
