After years of wanting to visit The Little Door I finally got to go to celebrate my birthday with my partner. The Little Door is known for their gorgeous outdoor seating under twinkly lights but be aware you cannot garuntee a spot there - only request. We had reservations on a Sunday night and they were fairly busy around 7pm. We were taken to the back seating area which is indoor. I appreciate that they have the option of a personalized dinner menu which is what my partner got for me, and they even bring you a large envelope so you can take the menu home. It took us some time to be greeted by our waitress. I felt the service was lacking. She was nice, but I felt like we were often forgotten. For our drinks I had a cucumber gin martini and my partner had the Casanova. Both were delicious! For our appetizer, we ordered the Piri-Piri shrimp. It was 4 pieces of shrimp lined up with small circles of flatbread in between each piece, seated on top of a smoky and flavorful sauce. We both loved it! For our main meal we ordered the couscous "Royale," fresh Papardelle pasta, and roasted carrots. The couscous came with one lamp chop, stewed lamb, merguez, and chicken - with a side of sliced almonds and dried apricot for topping, extra lamb stew sauce, and the most incredible harissa. I absolutely loved this dish, it was so flavorful. The pasta was a solid dish as well, and the roasted carrots were also fantastic. For dessert, we ordered the lava cake and I had Moroccan mint tea. The lava cake was well balanced with flavor and not overly sweet. The tea was fragrant, sweet, and the best way to end the meal. Overall I had a nice first experience at The Little Door. I don't think there's much left on the menu that I would want to try. I would love if they added more Moroccan-inspired dishes to the menu to make them stand out! But I feel like I would still come back, and I recommend it as a place for date night or to celebrate a birthday. read more

However- beware, you may get bit by mosquitoes bc of all the greenery. Also, the trees kept dropping stuff on us all night lol. Food itself was alright... we ordered the mussels, beef tartare, lamb chops, and porcini risotto. Mussels were plump and have a nice curry flavor but lacked the wow factor. Skip the steak tartare...basically could only taste the mustard/capers. Lamb chops were probs the best of the four dishes we got, you get 3 pieces, tender and juicy, however comes w a heap of super lemony herbs on top. Risotto looked better than it tasted...risotto itself wasn't as thick and creamy as I personally prefer. Had a good amount of mushrooms though! We eventually got a side of Brussel sprouts for some greens but unfortunately all we tasted was the vinaigrette:// overall..overhyped. Reserved this place for a moms' night out dinner and we were SO excited, but unfortunately, the seating really put a damper on the experience. We were seated all the way in the back, in a little corner circle that was difficult to even get into. On top of that, it was SO hot with absolutely no air circulation or fan. We were sweating pretty much the entire night. It was honestly terrible. When we arrived, we asked if we could sit outside instead, but the host told us it would be an hour wait. Like... we had reservations! That was really disappointing. Now, the food was actually great -- 4/5 The black mussels were the star of the night! The sauce was absolutely delicious. The tuna tartare special was also really good. We also had the ribeye steak, which was delicious thought the scalloped potatoes and green beans lacked salt and the housemade pappardelle, which was another great choice! Overall, I would definitely recommend the food, but ASK for outdoor seating when you make your reservation. Brought my husband to The Little Door for his birthday dinner and we cannot wait to go back! When you walk up to the actual door, you'll step into what feels like a hidden courtyard in the South of France, warm and intimate with beautiful lighting and vines overhead that make the whole room feel like on old world patio. We were greeted by a lovely hostess and were sat immediately. The rooms are separated by large village style windows which divide the rooms yet feels like an open space. The ambience of this place is very intimate, romantic and sexy! This is the type of place where I couldn't wait to eat because I just knew it was going to be a tasteful journey...so I'm just gonna dive right in! A few highlights for me were the grilled octopus, the house made potato gnocchi and best of all....The Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb!!! The octopus was so perfectly grilled it made me wanna text my best friend just to brag! Each bite had more personality than an entire cast of a reality show. The gnocchi was dangerously good! The confit garlic adds a buttery richness that compliments the subtle smokiness of the broccolini. My favorite parts were the little crunchy, crackles of bread crumbs I'd get in every bite...giving it that kind of texture that makes you pause mid-chew just to appreciate it. The lamb was absolutely incredible-so tender and beautifully cooked that the meat practically fell off the bone. The rich savory lamb was balanced by a bright flavorful sauce while the fresh herbs added a nice lift and freshness to every bite. The crispy roasted bones, gave the dish some extra texture and made the presentation feel extra dramatic. It was hardy, flavorful, and honestly one of those dishes where you don't want to waste a single bite. Definitely a dish I'd order again! The chard broccolini and potato purée completed this meal the way Renée Zellweger completed Tom Cruz in Jerry McGuire! What I pay attention to is the little touches that restaurants do to make the experience that much more special. The Little Door definitely delivered... We celebrated a romantic dinner at Little Door for my fiancé's birthday and I would say the experience was OK. She chose this place for the Instagram worthy atmosphere you see online, but I would say it falls a little short of how picturesque it is. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice garden setup up, but we were expecting a more romantic and whimsical layout. We also noticed that the dress code is very loosely enforced as there were numerous people there with T shirts on. We got there for our reservation about 15 minutes early and was seated quite fast. The hostesses at the front were quite friendly and the wait staff were attentive and mostly nice. One of our servers seemed a little curt at one point, but it wasn't too bad. Once you are seated they ask about your drink order, and offered wines, sparkling water, and literally said "tap water". Pretty surprised that they said tap water, but we went with a glass of wine and sparkling water. The menu is short and it's easy to make your decision. We went with the 24oz Prime Ribeye Steak, Pappardelle pasta, Kingfish Crudo, and the Portuguese Piri Piri Shrimp. The ribeye was served with scalloped potatoes and green beans that were delicious. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare, tender, and served in a very balanced sauce. The Piri Piri Shrimp was also great. Large pieces in a slightly spicy cream sauce; I would describe it as almost a Cajun flavor. These were my favorites of the dishes we ordered on this night. The Kingfish Crudo was a nice choice. I believe it was yellowtail served with small pieces of cherry tomatoes and peach chunks. The sauce was nice and refreshing with a little sweetness. The Pappardelle Pasta was ok, and probably my least favorite dish of the night. It wasn't bad, but wasn't on par with the rest of our meal. The thick pasta noodles were al dente, and the sauce was nice and creamy with pieces of green beans. It got better once we mixed the poached egg into the sauce, but still didn't get it to the point where we would order it again. Since it was my fiancé's birthday, she wanted to get one of their desserts served as a small birthday. She saw pictures of their passion fruit coconut cheesecake on Instagram and wanted that, but they changed it where the passion fruit was at the bottom of the cake. I thought it was decent, but not a great dessert. I thought the staff would at least sing happy birthday like other restaurants, but that didn't happen here. Overall, The Little Door is a small romantic stop to have a date night. I don't know if I would consider it a place to celebrate a special occasion though. French onion is def a try if you love soup and if you like seafood, get the mussels. Curry flavor is so good and such a good size, they actually do not skimp on the mussels so it's so worth. As for the entrees, my husband got the ribeye steak and it was tasty and cooked perfectly. The scalloped potatoes that it came with was cheesy and delish! I opted for the cod and it was good as well, I recommend this entree if you want a lighter one since you munched on the appetizers already hehe. It reminds me of the lantern scene in Tangled. It's literally the tangled ride at Tokyo Disneyland if you've ever been hehe. It can be pretty difficult to get parking at this restaurant... we searched around and got lucky with parking right at the front (not valet but street parking). Our server was amazing -- he had amazing customer service and he was very attentive. We ordered quite a few dishes: - Rack of Lamb - French Onion Soup - Grilled Octopus - Potato Puree - Fresh Pappardelle Pasta My favorites were the grilled octopus and the fresh pappardelle pasta. My boyfriend's favorite was the rack of lamb and the grilled octopus as well. If I had to recommend any dishes here, it would be the grilled octopus. For drinks I ordered a dirty martini extra dirty, and my boyfriend ordered the 4 pepper smoke cocktail. Overall I give this restaurant a 8.5/10. We had an amazing time here. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and thought my wife's birthday would be a good opportunity. I sprung for the $9 custom menu with her name on it. I had my doubts but she really liked that small detail. We came in on a Tuesday at 7pm. We were seated promptly and the restaurant was beautiful. It was also nice seeing the transition from daylight to night. We ordered the grilled octopus, black mussels, and French Onion soup as appetizers. The Octopus was hands down the best but the mussels were a close second. I would recommend skipping the French Onion soup. The top cheese layer was so burnt that the bitterness completely overpowered the dish to the point where it was not enjoyable despite the rest of the soup having good flavors. For out entrées we ordered the mushroom risotto and the rack of lamb. The rack of lamb was one of the best I've had and the risotto was solid too. Our server was very nice and welcoming however I think they might have been understaffed because our server was so busy that he didnt get a chance to check in with us for most of evening, by the time he did get a minute we were ready to leave. We started off by sharing the grilled octopus and a baguette with Rodolphe Le Meunier "beurre de baratte". The bread and butter - which may sound like nothing special - was so delicious it brought literal tears to my eyes. If that if I'd had only that I would have been happy. But I'm happier because we had WAY more than that. My girlfriend had the chicken. It was delicious - it came with veg and potato, with a lovely herb sauce. Sorry there's no picture. I had the couscous royale, which is lamb chop (perfectly seared) lamb stew (melted in my mouth!), & merguez (the spice was exactly what I wanted) and chicken. We had crème brûlée for dessert. When I entered the restaurant, I noticed the ambiance is beautiful inside. It looks like an elegant forest with lights shimmering above. My husband and I were seated in a corner next to a heat lamp which was a plus. The service was great! Water was filled continuously, the waiters checked on us many times, and the food was brought out on time. We ordered a a steak tartare, escargot, prime ribeye steak, and the black cod. Everything was delicious! The ribeye steak was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. One of the best ribeyes I've ever had. The cod plate was beautifully plated with crispy skin on the outside and so soft inside. The escargot and steak tartare reminded me of Paris. Just melts in your mouth. It's got a smooth jalapeño taste with a candy inside. The salmon was so good with the peas and bacon that gave it all the flavor! The rack of lamb -- which is considered their signature dish -- was tender, juicy, and worth trying at least once, but honestly the appetizers stood out more than the entrées for me. We also got two cocktails: the Pomegranate Margarita and the Casanova. Both were good and definitely on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend them if you enjoy sweeter drinks. The Little Door - Beverly Hills Such a perfect little gem for date night whether it's with your man or your girls. The ambience here is chef's kiss. It honestly feels like you've been transported somewhere dreamy, like Morocco. The indoor-outdoor setup is gorgeous, the lighting is soft and romantic, and the whole vibe just feels special. We ordered the octopus and the snails, and both were delicious. The garlic on the snails was amazing. Drinks were light and refreshing, and they have a solid wine selection with plenty of options from reds to whites. The staff was super attentive and quick, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely make a reservation, especially on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. This place gets busy. Parking is the only headache, but they do offer valet out front for about $15-$20, which makes things way easier. Overall, The Little Door is such a sweet, romantic spot with great food and a beautiful atmosphere. Totally recommend it for anniversaries, celebrations, or just a special night out. read more

Very pleasant venue... it's denominated French but, in reality it's European cuisine. I went with my sister Kata, actually he took me there. Jenifer our attendant was an angel, gentle and with the best attitude. I had the lamb rack and my sister the Branzino and before both had Escargot. For desert, the pear almond pie and they granted us with other delicious piece of art a cheese cake... the place is beautiful with soft lites all over. In a word, great!!! read more

A cozy romantic atmosphere; perfect for a date night. We sat in the lighted patio area. I love all the trees and plants. It has a whimsical vibe. The music was a nice touch, not too loud. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. As was the bus boy who came by regularly to refill out water and clearing our table. Our food was delicious. The Steak Tartare was very good. I've not had it with chips before. I loved how the texture of the chips mixed with the steak - great combination. My pasta dish was recommended by our server. It was tasty! The pasta was cooked perfectly, and I loved the crispy shallots with the sugar snap peas. They all blended perfectly with each bite. I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes. read more

I called and made a reservation a week or so ahead for dinner on 7/5 at 6:30 (my birthday). I didn't find out until later, but my dad also called separately to let them know that we were coming to celebrate my bday (I think he wanted the workers to surprise me lol). Anyway-- on the day of my bday, 7/5, the staff had no idea who we were lol and there was no reservation under my name. Idk I took a star off for that because I thought that was weird and unorganized tbh. Luckily there was no wait! The food was pretty good. Some of it was just okay. The items I would get again if I came back are: 1. Ribeye steak; 2. Steak tartare; 3. French onion soup; 4. House made pappardelle. I wouldn't get the gem salad or the branzino (was a lil dry). Octopus: maybe depending on my mood. Vibes were nice though, and I wish we came a little later to see the restaurant get darker!
