Let me start with the very friendly service! Small restaurant but lots of seating inside and out. Self service ordering kiosk but staff available for recommendations. True Lebanese flavors! This is different than other Mediterranean restaurants so make sure you have the right expectation for a new unique and delicious meal. The pomegranate really comes through in tender chicken pieces! The lamb was good too but I usually like my lamb a little rare and it was more on the well done side, but flavors were great! MUST try the lentil soup! It's delicious! Zaatar fries were fun! I first had Wally's Cafe at a company catered event and I longed for it ever since. Their original CM location made it hard to visit, so when I found out they opened a location in HB I was trilled! I ordered their signature pomegranate chicken and it was delicious! It's a very unique dish that I haven't been able to find anywhere. We dined in and was served lentil soup and baklava for dessert. Small hole in the wall spot with fantastic flavors. My friend and I came across this spot from a TikTok post and just had to try it! The owner's wife, Jessica, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and fun to talk with. Her and her husband do an incredible job with both the food and service in the restaurant, and made everything delicious. We learned that the recipes are family recipes and you can absolutely tell. The pomegranate chicken plate was delicious, as well as the chicken shawarma plate. The plates came with rice, salad, tziki, and garlic sauce-- all large portions and well seasoned. It's was a little pricey (about $22-$26 a plate), but the prices made sense after seeing the portions! I had lunch, and potentially dinner worth of food left over. Jessica made sure we had everything we needed, including boxes and complimentary soup/baklava samples. I forgot to take pictures of the lentil soup and baklava, but they were also incredibly delicious. Do not sleep on this place if you love gyros, lentil soup, hummus or baklava. I was so excited to try it all and the camera didn't eat first. (Next time I'll take pics) My husband and I loved everything we had. The lentil soup was packed with flavor, gyro meat was tender and flavorful, the hummus might be the best we've ever had. Plenty of parking next to a massive lot, but walking distance from my house so a double bonus. My wife picked up for us last night and said they were very friendly and noted they added some seating the previous place did not have. I was eager to try the pomegranate chicken and it did not disappoint. The chicken was very tender and tasty. It came on a bed of rice that was also very tasty. Large salad and enough to feed my wife and I plus let the grandkids try some out. They loved it. Also the garlic sauce had more of a butter taste that was a nice switch from the normally more oil based options. We loved it. They added a lentil soup for my wife to try and she really enjoyed it. We also found a bonus piece of baklava that was a nice bonus to the excellent meal. Im excited to try the other menu items as everything looks great and this is a spot we really needed here. Not what I expected. I was looking forward to good, authentic Middle Eastern food. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The falafel was dry and crumblie, the grape leaves tasted old and the rice was hard, the baklava was dry as well and lacked in honey. I will say. I did enjoy the lentil soup. This restaurant just moved to Huntington Beach this week from Costa Mesa. we're so happy they're just down the street from us! The food was awesome! Mediterranean done right. We loved everything we tried. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. The baklava ice cream is an absolute must-try. It's the perfect way to end the meal and was unlike anything we've had before. On top of the amazing food, the owner was so welcoming and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. It's always nice to support a local business where you feel appreciated as a customer. We're already looking forward to coming back and can definitely see this becoming one of our regular spots. Talked to the staff as I put in an order and they were so helpful. Recommended chicken tawook pita and their chicken pomegranate plate. I bought both and shared them with my wife. The pomegranate chicken plate features chicken breast with a lightly sweet and savory pomegranate glaze over a rice pilaf sweetened with carrots. It's paired with tzatziki and a garlic toum, salad, and some pita quarters. The chicken tawook pita is a pita sandwich featuring marinated, juicy chicken thighs with flavors balanced by garlic toum, fries, and pickles. I enjoyed the chicken and I recommend it! We got a lentil soup, which was warm and delicious. We had the baklava which was very mildly sweet and very crispy from what seemed to be a dozen layers of filo dough. I loved the crispiness, which was unique to their baklava; however, I wouldn't have minded if it were a little sweeter. The food was good . They went above and beyond when we ate there. They have us complementary lentil soup and baklava. The lentil soup was very flavorfu and if get that again on a cold day. We got the beef shawarma plate and chicken shawarma wrap to share . The plate was a good size and the two was a perfect combo to share without leftovers. We both liked chicken shawarma better. The beef was good but just like the chicken flavors better. We also had the lemon mint lemonade which was sooo good- very fresh made with real mint and lemons. Stopped by to pick up my dinner at this ghost kitchen location. Parking is in the front only and kind of busy but I found a spot and ran in. Food is fine. I ordered a mixed combo plate but it ended up only having one type of chicken. I requested two different types. The chicken was fine. Didn't have any sear so it just kind of lacked flavor. The rice is delicious. Buttery and fluffy! Chicken gyro wrap was huge and tasty. I also ordered two other wraps. They were good. Meal was fine. I wouldn't rush back. The price maybe in the low 20s but the portion is good for 2 people, or 2 meals for one person. The taste and texture of the meat are one of the best I have had. The chicken meat was juicy and tender. The pomegranate flavoring really sunk into the meat. The salad was fresh too. The owner offered us some dessert to try. It was really nice of him. Best Falafel I've found in Orange County! We ordered the chicken Shawerma and mezze platter so we could sample a variety of items.
