We stumbled upon this place on a drive one day and finally came back to try it. This is a drive-in style burger joint where you can park and order at the stall or go inside and eat there. Very old school and retro but also very cute. The staff brought the food out pretty quickly (within 15 minutes) which was 45 minutes before closing. All of the food was great, we would happily come back. 5/5

Drove past this location, a billion and one times. Finally had the time and appetite to make my way to Wally's. I ordered the cheese burger with grilled onions and also the bacon cheeseburger with fries and taters. The burgers were soooo good but the fries were okay. They are beer battered. Not my favorite. The taters were good - who can go wrong with a tater tot. Service was okay. Ambiance was okay - definitely 1950s drive in. The vibe was not welcoming for us.

Was visiting Enumclaw/Buckley for the first time not too long ago, and I thought Wally's Drive-In would be a great place to check out since it fit the vibes of the adventure. My friend and I decided to dine in, so we both got some burgers and fries. I ordered the Wally Whopper which came with two patties, slices of American cheese and pieces of bacon, and some veggies between brioche buns. Ah man, the first few bites were SO GOOD. It tastes like how burgers should always be. But over time as I kept eating, I got a little tired of eating it. Maybe it was just too much for me, perhaps a single patty would have done me better. The fries were also great, thick cut and every bite was satisfying. Now THAT is something I can't get sick of. The house sauce with the fries also paired well together. Not the kind of burger place I would keep coming back to if it was near me, but if I am in the area I would consider revisiting.

Let's start first with the atmosphere, love it. This is exactly the kind of old school diner that I love. They get bonus points for staying true to that vibe. Next we can talk about the excellent service the staff here provide, they are friendly and seem to really care about their customers. Unfortunately the food is where it fell short for me. The rodeo burger was great, cheese and saucy, just the way it should be. However, the fried chicken sandwich was bland, had no flavor... the breading needed seasoning for sure, and that bland chicken ruined the whole sandwich for me. The onion rings were better than average, as it didn't have the stringy stuff that makes you pull out the whole onion when you bite in, good for them on that... but again the batter was sorta bland. Lastly was Wally's sauce, let's talk about this for a minute.... I have a bone to pick with these places, everyone claiming to have their secret sauce... Normas, Big Tom's, Bob's, Frisko Freeze, Shake Shake Shake... I could go on.... ITS ALWAYS THE SAME SAUCE. Some variation of mayo, ketchup, mustard, and relish, Worcestershire, and garlic powder. Can we please come together and just make this known so they stop charging us extra for the secret sauce. Please, we don't get charged for ketchup, or mustard or mayo, it's not a secret, everybody has it... Ok rant over... Anyway go here, it's reasonably priced, friendly, cool vibe... Just don't get the bland breaded stuff.

Came back and I still stand by my original comments. Burgers were ok... not a fan of the fries. Service is good.

Always good! Only stop by on the way to/from Mt Rainier so not too often. Real old-fashioned drive-in food & ambiance. Got the Wally Whopper, as listed, fries, and a Root Beer shake. (Almost) too much food! Actually saved some for when I got home to Newcastle.

Menu as of December 2025. Always a good time at Wally's drive in. This might be one of a very few places you can get a peanut butter MALT shake. Yum!

My family of four ate here after hiking at Mount Rainier National Park, and it hit the spot! The burgers are great, I highly recommend the milkshakes, and the atmosphere was great! It was an old-school vibe that made my parents nostalgic. My mom forgot her fish didn't come with fries, so she went inside and told us she had just forgotten to order them. A waitress came out with an order of fries because she felt bad. Great fries too!

Fun old timey menu box that you order from and they bring your food out!

If you have had Spanish Patatas Bravas, then you'll know that dish is primarily potatoes, and that's the experience you would expect. However, this is an American breakfast joint that probably is not trying to make Patatas Bravas. When the food came, it was cold. When my wife confronted the lead waitress about it, she said, "wow, you must be pissed. We've never had a complaint before." To credit the staff, they grudgingly refunded the amount of our meal, and were testy about our complaints. They seemed to not care because they said "if you ever decide to come back again" which shouldn't ever be said to any customer. We make the choice to come, and we felt like the restaurant is trying to cut costs through using cheaper ingredients. In this case, a lot of poorly cooked and soggy potatoes. We were not impressed. Maybe the other items on the menu are much better? Scrambles had their own box on the menu, and seemed to be their signature dishes. A lot less potatoes would be a major improvement. Better yet, hearing feedback from customers and acting on it, even better. Most of the fixes are simple. Adjust the ingredients. Everything needs to be served much hotter! The blueberry muffin arrived barely warmed, too dry and without any butter. I felt the whole dining experience could have been much better.

The vibe is laid-back and welcoming. Every server we interacted with was smiling and genuinely friendly. It really added to the atmosphere. You can tell the staff enjoys working there, and that kind of energy is infectious. Now, the food: the burger was exactly what I crave when I think of a good, old-fashioned burger. Nothing over-complicated, just juicy, well-seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a toasted bun. It was cooked just right, with that perfect balance of savory and juicy. Simple, but executed beautifully. On the side? Two absolutely gigantic onion rings that were golden, crispy, and sweet. The batter had a light crunch without being greasy, and the onions inside were tender and flavorful. Basically onion ring perfection. The mozzarella sticks were another standout. Hot, gooey, and with a satisfying cheese pull that was honestly Instagram-worthy. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. Exactly how they should be. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails. They were trying too hard with a fancy mixology vibe that didn't quite land. But the beer? Cold, refreshing, and just right with the food and the atmosphere. Why go? If you're looking for a relaxed spot to hang out, enjoy a game, and eat some really solid comfort food, this place delivers. It's the kind of place you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

But first, let's make like Marty McFly and go back in time. My bud says let's go meet up for burgers and brew. I'm like, "Sure, don't gotta ask me twice." And off we went. My mind was blown by all the things in such close proximity of each other... I mean like a parking lot closeness. We got some serious grub burgers, with a brewery next door to enjoy said tasty meat patties. With a distillery in the back/front, and a wine or tea bar on the other side. You don't have to go far to stumble or crawl. Ok... moving forward... back to Burger Buds! I had no idea this was the original truck or location. I live out in the Maple Valley area, and we frequent that burger buds often. However, every time I go, I always want to try a new burger. And the Wenatchee was calling my name. Something about crisp Washington apples and cheese just sounded good with some candied bacon. C'mon son! Not to mention their fries! We ordered our food, found a place to sit down inside the brewery, ordered some cider, and once the food was ready, we just sat and hung out and enjoyed conversation. This is a perfect location! So hats off to the owners of Burger Buds and Headworks Brewery for their joint adventure! Thank you for the experience and as always, enjoy and found a new Happy Place!

During our visit it was 'seat yourself' and a waitress came right over with menus and took our drink order. As it was early, we ordered coffee and water. Coffee is good and hot. Cream on table with salt, pepper, hot sauce and ketchup. Our beverages were brought over by another staff member, Paula, who told us our waitress would be right with us. Except she wasn't. After ten minutes I was worried. After 20 minutes I was getting concerned. Our waitress showed up shortly there after and we placed our order. Paula came around a few times refilling coffees, clearing tables and bringing checks. I wandered into their bakery area while waiting for our food, took photos, read the info there and then out to the historic bar area to check it out. You can order cakes and cheese cakes from their bakery as well as take a slice to-go, or enjoy a slice in house. Our waitress saw me there on her way into the kitchen and asked if I needed something. "No, just looking". OK then. We think our waitress was working both the kitchen and the dining room which is why she was often out of sight. So two staff in FOH with one of them helping BOH. That's a lot. She brought our food when ready plus a selectiin of jams for our english muffin. We asked for silverware which she promotly brought. The marionberry jam, a hybrid blackberry from Oregon, is excellent. The food is quite good. Corned beef hash is without a doubt made fresh. Big pieces of shredded beef with potatoes and lots of fresh spices. This hash has a zing to it. We both ordered the small portion of their corned beef so it came with one egg (instead of two) and we chose english muffin (instead of toast) and got half each (vs. a whole each). With a side of their potatoes, which were also good and plentiful, we had enough left overs for breakfast the next day. Which we also enjoyed. All told, we were in and out in one hour. Food was very good. We always had coffee. We thought our waitress was unfriendly, but she's just super busy. So five stars for holding down the dining rooms with two staff members and serving tasty, well prepared food. Paula processed our card payment. Forgot to check out the restrooms. I think they are in the last dining area (where a big business meeting of some company was going on at the time) behind the bar room.
