My best friend and I came to Wally's on our first night in Vegas to celebrate the fact that we both recently got engaged, so we were really looking forward to a fun dinner to kick off our trip. Unfortunately, the experience was just okay for us. We shared the truffle pizza, which was definitely the highlight of the meal and something I genuinely enjoyed. I also ordered the steamed mussels, but unfortunately, a significant portion of them arrived still closed, so I wasn't able to eat quite a few of them. That was disappointing, especially considering I was paying for a full order. Our cocktails also weren't particularly memorable. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. The restaurant wasn't very busy during our visit, yet it took quite a while for our order to be taken, and our server rarely checked in on us throughout the meal. We were there to celebrate and enjoy our first night in Vegas, but the overall experience just felt a little lackluster. The restaurant itself has a beautiful, elevated atmosphere, and I can definitely see the appeal. Maybe we simply caught them on an off night or didn't order the right things, but between the inconsistent food and inattentive service, it wasn't one of our favorite dining experiences in Vegas. Came here for dinner on a Thursday for dinner before the Backstreet Boys concert, and also to use our amex platinum $100 food and beverage credit for staying at the Conrad. I feel like this is a pretty solid use of the credit being a more "upscale" restaurant that I normally wouldn't eat at if I was paying full price for it. I got the machine cocktail, as well as the pan seared halibut with yuzu coconut sauce ($48). Total for two entrees and 2 cocktails was $163 for us (I think my husband got a burger). We've come here twice and both times we were seated in the "outside" part of the restaurant where it's near the hostess booth. Pros: - the machine cocktail was very strong and tasty - The halibut with the yuzu coconut sauce was DELICIOUS - I liked that the yuzu sauce came out separately where they pour it over - Really pretty plating!! - Pretty efficient service, all the staff were very nice. I felt bad for them because we witnessed someone dine and dash while we were eating - Super convenient if you're staying at the Conrad, really short walking distance Cons: - the ambiance of the outer seating area does kind of make it feel like you're eating in a large mall LOL. We were looking for something convenient in the hotel/casino and we stumbled upon Wally's, checked out the menu and were so glad we did! Atmosphere is nice and casual with great service! We got drinks and a charcuterie board to start and it was so good! Server helped us select a fabulous cheese too! We split a large Caesar salad and flatbread! This was my first time staying at resorts world and got an offer to use my credits at Wallys and I am glad I did! This "wine bar" vibe is beautifully placed within the district. From the host to the servers, everyone was friendly and very welcoming. The food was great! The artichoke hummus was easily the highlight here! It had all the flavors and textures you would want in an appetizer! The pizzas were really good and satiating as well. One little warning, make sure to read the ingredients first of each one, I got one that was little too spicy for me but I still couldn't stop eating it! The only downside I could think of is the "nickel and diming". To get a martini you have to first order a base, Tito's here, which is $18. But then if you want it in a martini, it's an extra $5, and if you want blue cheese olives, an extra $3. I think this may be a little overkill but still didn't ruin our otherwise fantastic experience. Overall, I definitely do recommend Wally's if you are in the area! read more

That said, **Wally's at Resorts World deserves the recognition.** I want to give a huge thank you to **Irvin and Diana** for helping make my best friend's birthday one we'll remember for a long time. I arrived at Wally's a little early and grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender made an **incredible espresso martini**--seriously, one of the best I've had. I even found out they offer an espresso martini made with tequila! I decided to stick with the vodka version, but I may have to try the tequila one next time. From the bartender, to the incredibly friendly hostess who seated us, to the entire team throughout the evening, the service was **exceptional from beginning to end**. I saw on Facebook that there were 3 restaurants in Resorts World that were doing $45 3 course power lunches. Since I only have eaten at Resorts World once, I decided to try something different. Wally's had a menu that got my attention. I made a reservation for 12:15 and was seated on their patio. It was a great place to sit. Enjyoing the large globe change its messages and watching the tourists come and go was great fun! On to the meal. I ordered the roasted garlic and cannelloni bean soup for my first course. Very good start to the lunch. Next came the petiti steak frites. I had asked for it blue and it was super rare. Here's a chef not afraid to put out steak the way it's ordered than be afraid it might not be cooked enough. There were pieces of raosted garlic on the steak slices and a bit of steak sauce. There were small sides of ketchup for the fries and a small cup of béarnaise sauce. An excellet main course. The fries were too crispy, but I still enjoyed them. For dessert, I got the cheesemonger's choice. There were two slices of grilled bread, some fresh fruiit (blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries) along with two slices of gorgonzola cheese. Not all restaurants change their menus over time, but Wally's definitely updates its food, cocktails, and wine offerings. We really like the ambience of Wally's, especially in their great bar area. We had lunch at Wally's a couple of times recently. Bartenders Ryan and Tommy provided excellent service on both occasions. They have some nice specialty cocktails and a large selection of wines. I had two different sandwiches, their Reuben and Wally's Hero. My wife liked the Prosciutto Caprese Sandwich so much that she had it on both visits. The corned beef on the Reuben was very lean and tasty. It didn't have as much sauerkraut as I like, but very few restaurant Reubens do. The Wally's Hero was good. In fact, it was much better than most Hero sandwiches that I have had. The bread on both sandwiches was fresh. The part of the Hero I couldn't finish heated up very nicely at home. My wife really liked the prosciutto and mozzarella of her sandwich, but the main thing she spoke about was the delicious beet ciabatta. read more

We tried Owen baked Brie Bread to begin with but found it way too sweet for our liking. Should have stuck to Burrata I guess ! We also got the Mezcal drink which was awesome and high quality ! Then came PAUL'S ENDIVE SALAD and the GRILLED OCTOPUS - Both were highlight reel items for the night. Excellent. The Endive salad is the most unique and interesting salad I've ever had. We requested them to bring our Spicy Salami pizza without any Honey but they forgot about our request , nevertheless , with or without honey - pizza wasn't good. I've been here a few times to check out the charcuterie fixins, other snacks and to purchase some beverages with dining/retail credit. The store has a lot of wine and other liquor available for purchase. The selection can be overwhelming actually. Staff always asked if I needed assistance, and they were helpful. The restaurant/bar portion has always been busy when I've been there. I purchased both liquor and wine, and the prices for my purchases were pretty reasonable compared to retail prices (yes, I looked them up). We stopped by here about 1030am ish for breakfast so it was still kind of slow, not a big crowd yet. I'm sure this place attracts a lot of people later in the day with their selection of wines. The staff was nice, very tentative to our needs. For the food and prices. In my opinion the 3 eggs any style breakfast needs to be revisited. It's $24.00 with thick bacon .. The thick bacon alone is $16 the thin bacon is $9 (on the side). My wife ordered hers plate with thin bacon and we still paid $24 for her plate alone. I ordered my platter with the thick bacon , and it is really thick bacon. The waitress did warn me, I decided to try it but I didn't like it. The fruit platter was $17 dollars. IMO pricey but the fruit was good. I think next time in town, I'd try a different restaurant for breakfast, but may swing back by here any time in the evening to try their selection of wines. What a fun evening with friends! We went on a Friday night and were surprised to find it wasn't very busy. The music was popping with some 2,000s Jams which I thought was interesting for a wine spot. If you are going for an elegant ambiance and have hip hop on, it's confusing. Not sure if that's their normal play list or since they were slow they opted for some more upbeat music. I will say the wine menu is very overwhelming. I don't do well with 100's of options so be prepared to get a massive book to review the wines. I feel like a digital option on a tablet would be more fitting but that is just me. The food was great! We started with the Baked Brie. That is a great starter to share. Then we each got a dish. My friend and I went with the Wally Burger. It was delicious! Everything on it was so fresh and the meat was juicy. I loved their special house made ketchup. Secret ingredient was cinnamon and cardamom. I also thought their fresh fries were awesome. Crispy and salty. Just what you'd except with a juicy burger! Beware it can get messy! My boyfriend went with the Steak Frites. Seasoned to perfection and so tender. Not pictured was the Braised Rabbit Bolognese. It was made with fresh pappardelle and you can tell the sauce was simmering for a while and lots of flavor though-out. Founded originally as a retail store (Wally's Fine Wine & Spirits) in 1968, the business has since transformed into a high-end retail and restaurant empire, with four branches located in Beverly Hills (original), Santa Monica (have visited that one on multiple business dinners), Culver City, and their newest one located in Resort World on the upper end of the Las Vegas Strip. My wife and I had a chance to visit during our short Las Vegas stay, and found the service to be excellent with some really good dishes. The restaurant opens for brunch at 9 am on the weekend, and we were one of the first ones to be seated. The 'outside' seating opens to the largeness of the hotel, with it being very clear that you are in a modern casino. It's a smaller menu (two pages) but also supplemented with a reasonable Power Lunch menu (three courses for $45). But we had hotel credits to spend, so got what interested us, including some sandwiches to go. The online menu is slightly out of date, with some seasonal dishes (like the lobster salad) not being available. Dine-in: Wood Oven Baked Brie ($30) - a favorite of patrons, this dish takes sliced baguettes and tops it with brie and a trio of truffleness (honey, butter, and shaved). There were plenty to share, but discovered that my wife doesn't like Brie cheese (didn't know). Chimay Belgium Dubbel ($15) - I love Belgian monastery ales, and couldn't pass this up (even though it was breakfast time) when I realized it was on draft. It was very good and I considered a very good price, considering a bottle of stella cost 10. Grassfed Steak Frites ($68) - 10oz NY strip, grilled medium with bearnaise sauce with house cut fries. This was my wife's dish, but got to sample, and I thought it was OK. The meat was decent. The bearnaise sauce seemed reheated, and the fries were house made but not really double fried causing it to be similar to In-n-Out fries (which are not our favorite). The ketchup was also different than I've had before...wondering if it was Sir Kensington's ketchup that I've heard so much about. Grilled Octopus ($34) - I love octopus, and this dish was decent, very shareable. The interesting ingredient was caperberries, and it seemed like a balsamic vinegar was the basis for the sauce, even though it wasn't listed on the menu. The octopus was tender. One of the ingredients was 'blablack garlic croutons'...later realizing it was a typo on the menu. To Go: Both sandwiches used a ciabatta bread, with the Pastrami Reuben ($21) being slightly toasted. Wally's Hero (Italian sub for $19) was OK, with the classic trio of cured meats (salami, prosciutto, and capicola) being great quality. The reuben was decent, with the pastrami being thinly shaved and a good russian dressing (aioli). For me, I prefer my ciabatta bread for sandwiches to be a lot heavier and crunchy...wish the bread for the reuben had been grilled first. As mentioned, our server (Stiffany) and the rest of the staff were excellent, keeping our water constantly filled, delivering our dine-in dishes immediately, and reminding me to order our take-out dishes when time. Since everything was charged to the room, she required my picture ID and room number. The stay ended up being the longest we stayed at a restaurant during our trip; ended up being a good choice to do that. read more

I only gave it two stars because the charcuterie board, soup and burger were very delicious and the server was very helpful, but the Sommelier was horrible! Now, I have a lot of allergies, but I've been too many restaurants and chefs have been able to accommodate and they actually like coming up with something different to show off their expertise, but this Chef took forever to come up with lamb chops and broccoli for me, then had the server send out some sauce to accompany after (wait you didn't cook it in the sauce or have the sauce with the entree...really?!!). Then I had the warm baked Brie, with shaved truffles and truffle honey. It was amazing! The perfect snack to keep me going in Vegas. Had a reservation Friday night and this place exceeded my expectations. We started off with the spinach salad which I believe might be seasonal but I was blown away. All the flavors paired together so well. For our main dish we ordered the whole roasted heritage chicken which was insane. The skin on the chicken was so crispy and flavorful. The broccolini and the fingerling potatoes soaked up all the juices perfectly but the potatoes somehow stayed crisp. Food aside, the service was phenomenal. The second thing were the entrees -- I took a peak at them while looking at people's tables in the outside area. The entrees looked like food that tastes good (after so many years researching places to go and going to them because of Yelp I've, humbly, become really good at nailing if a dish will taste good or not and whether it uses high quality ingredients or not just by looking at it). Thirdly, their extensive wine list. When a place has such an extensive wine list, it usually means that their chef knows what they're doing. Well, I was (again, humbly) right. My halibut and the bed of veggies it was sitting on were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sauce was addicting. Tiffany will make you the best and most beautiful charcuterie board in Las Vegas. By all means, feel free to look over the menu and select your own items that you would like for the build your own charcuterie, but my friends, if you are feeling froggy, let that woman play. Let her know if you have any allergies or if there's anything that you really like or really don't like and just let her do her thing. Whenever my parents come to Las Vegas to visit me, we always go to Wally's, and we go because we want one of Tiffany's beautiful creations laid out in front of us.
