They handled our party of 4 adults and 4 kids with no problem. I had the 2 eggs with breakfast hash and nice rye toast. I don't usually order hash, so I think I would try something else if I had another shot at it. The waitress removed an item from our bill that was not made to order. Nice convenient children's menu on the placemats with decent prices and smaller portions. Also, great play items outside on the lot to kill time if you need to wait. Great coffee. First time in Surf city and happened to be walking by and stumbled upon a sign that their Breakfast, lunch and dinner is rated #1 on trip advisor. Naturally we had to see for ourselves. We Ordered: -Grilled Chicken & Avocado sandwich -Summer House Salad + Shrimp -Coffee Cake Classic -Black Coffee All the items were amazing, fresh and super filling. Service was super attentive, they made sure we had everything we needed. Even on July 4th when as you can imagine people were coming in and out. Roomy restaurant great for parties of up to 5. Got Takeout and I was disappointed. Ordered the peanut butter waffle, bagel with cream cheese and vegan burrito. For $14 the waffle was 1 waffle with some sad whipped cream and cheap syrup. The bagels cream cheese was weird tasting, possibly curdled, but still something that shouldn't have been served or eaten. The vegan burrito was tasty but could've had a little more to it. It was $15 and suppose to come with fresh fruit. There was no fruit on any dish or any sides for that matter. My final take away was I'll pass on Wally's next time. I realize that there's a beach tax because the season down here is so short but I could make amazing peanut butter waffles with fresh fruit on the side for 4 for $14, and I just might. read more

This is the second time I have dined here. It has open dining , very airy so it can be very noisy inside. The floor reminds me of a mirror image of the ocean floor. Kelly was our waitress and was super upbeat and efficient. The portions were large and took the rest to go. I hate the beach. I hate beach towns on Saturday mornings. I hate eating outside like an animal. That said, we stopped by on a very busy Saturday morning for a bite before heading home. I would like to say that maybe they're known better for their breakfast cause of other reviews I've seen on their yelp that say the same thing. My friend and I came for dinner. My friend had the chicken wrap and salmon burger... and it was not it. Her wrap was soggy and bland. My salmon burger was mostly breading with no taste. I was really sad cause I was visiting from San Diego and had high expectations. I will for sure come back to give their breakfast a second chance. read more

We had a party of 7 and they sat us inside right outside the restrooms. Well, that back corner was apparently the collecting point for all the flies trapped in the restaurant. Not only did we smell the the rest room the whole time (because the doors were left open) but there were literally 30 flies on the walls, circling around us and hovering over our food. If management reads this PLEASE do something about the flies in that corner. I cannot believe there is no way to mitigate this problem, we were mostly happy with our food but the experience was awful because of the smell of poop and the flies. This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The parking is a bit challenging because of all of the beach goers taking up the parking spaces. I was in a party of two. I really appreciated the Yelp Waitlist option. It was so convenient! All COVID-19 precautions were taken. All employees were incredibly polite and accommodating. Our server, Casey W., was amazing! She was so sweet, accommodating and she took the time to chat with us. We ordered the Caesar Salad with blackened shrimp and the (very creative) Summer Salad with blackened chicken. It was a salad of mixed greens with Granny Smith apples, walnuts, dried cranberries and feta cheese. Champagne vinaigrette dressing. Both salads came in a very large and deep bowl. Definitely returning to this restaurant. This week; probably will try the breakfast next! read more

This is one of the most popular places on the island and it didn't disappoint me ( even though we came for dinner) as we walked in it was very big and there was a lot of seating inside and out along with lights and TVs still this was a family friendly restaurant ( in a good way) the waiter came by often and talked to us a bunch I ended up ordering a bacon burger except it was two (happy surprise) the burger itself was hot and juicy except there was a lot of tomatoes and red onions other then that they were enjoyable it came with fries that were tasty but nothing special my Dad and sister got southwest burgers they looked good but can't say cause I didn't try so overall a really good experience and if I am ever on the island I will try again read more

Huge disappointment. Flatbread was clearly reheated. Unmistakeable reheated pizza look - dried up bread and crusty stale cheese. "Ceviche" was cooked shrimp in vinegar dressing. It's pretty outrageous to call it ceviche. The coconut shrimp was burned to dark brown. We sent it back. They scraped some burned crumbs off and served it back to us. This kitchen does not care and does not know how to fry food. The beet and quinoa burger is bland and mushy. The patty is way too soft and runs when you bite into the burger. The bun is the kind of whole wheat roll you get for $1 at grocery store, and it's not even toasted. They supposedly expanded recently. The location is good and the large backyard nice and shaded when we went late afternoon. The service was attentive. But the restaurant clearly has no kitchen capacity to cater to their expanded size. They chose to serve reheated or cold food, which all tasted terrible. read more

The place is overrun with flies which I know is almost impossible to handle in the open atmosphere but we were seated inside and spent the entire dinner swatting them away. I don't even know why I'm bothering to review Wally's because is there ANYONE who doesn't love Wally's? The food is delicious, and they don't just give us vegetarians (who are vegan-ish) a few boring gratuitous choices, the menu devotes at least a third of their choices to delicious options. The vegan BLT is scrumptious, the Buddha bowl is chakra changing, and the carnivore and pescatarian dishes are great too. And let's just say, leave room for dessert. Kyle was very attentive to our needs and worked extra hard to answer our question regarding our burger conundrum: if we didn't want both quarter pound burgers that came with a burger dinner for cheaper than I've had one burger before, was there a way to order and ring up just one? We had brunch here on a recent holiday Saturday late morning so it was obviously busy and we expected to wait awhile. The hostess was super friendly and their notification system is efficient. We thought it would be at least an hour but 35 minutes later we were seated inside - right after being noticed by text. Katie - our server - was amazing. Friendly, helpful and very attentive. Took our order in exactly the correct sequence and we were in and out in about an hour (and there were 8 of us!). After waiting in line for several minutes, when it was finally my turn to be served i asked to order something to go. The hostess said they don't take to go orders anymore. I had to go to work so I left immediately. I called 30 min later and asked to order for carry out and they stated they only accept in person orders. These guys don't know what they are doing. Never been here for dinner before but we love the breakfast. Tonight we came for dinner. The manager, Nicole, was so gracious and went around to interact with each table. The decor was simple but nice lighting and plenty of space at the table. It was restaurant week so we ordered off a special menu. I had the rhode island chowder: served hot, nice variety of seafood and good flavor. With the scallops as my entree. I ate every last bite, they were amazing. We brought our 4 year old along since the babysitter cancelled and multiple staff came by to give her attention which also helped make for a nice night. We'll be back! read more

Oh my god, what can I say about Wally's. GREAT!!!! I have loved their eggs at this restaurant for a very long time. Started with excellent coffee. Then server brought breakfasts!! Super good! And before I forget to say how they redid the building, it looks fabulous! Inside and out! Let's see my daughter got Trenton eggs Benedict and she loved it, my son got the Trenton wrap , just as good. My husband got blueberry pancakes, they were excellent! I got scrambled , home fries, and rye toast. Toast could have been toasted more, but eggs still had that excellent flavor I missed, and the home fries were amazing! Winner, winner, chicken, dinner! Second time I'm trying Wallys and they did not disappoint. Short wait to get a table in my preferred area, outside, and all of the staff was happy and accommodating. Obviously, a group that watches out for one another hand my waiter, Max, and others , all made sure that I was well taken care of, even when it wasn't their table. Many selections on the vegan menu, which, although I am not a vegan, makes it easy for a vegetarian to choose. When I asked for a recommendation, Max asked if I was looking for a sweet or savory Breakfast/brunch and when I answered savory, he had an immediate suggestion which I took him up on and which was tasty! Food is served quickly and at the correct temperature! Even though they were busy, and I had finished my meal, I never felt rushed And was told to take my time when the bill came. I ordered the Bourbon Jam burger and loved it. They serve their burgers on Martin's rolls (you get two with your order). Very well seasoned, loved each bite of it. The French fries it came with were nice and crunchy. There are plenty of vegetarian options and all their burgers can also come on gluten free bread.
