    Consumer Beware - Serious Negligence and No Accountability…read more I normally don't leave reviews, but what happened to me at this Valvoline location needs to be shared as a public service announcement. I brought my new vehicle here for one of its first oil changes. Less than two weeks later, while driving with my two children in the backseat, my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree--my power steering failed, my radio shut off, my headlights went out, and my entire car slowly died in the middle of traffic. It was terrifying. The next day I replaced my battery, but the car still didn't feel right. After having it checked at Advance Auto, I was told my alternator was no longer functioning, which likely caused the battery to die. I had my car towed to the dealership because this type of failure is highly unusual for a new vehicle. The dealership's inspection revealed oil all over my serpentine belt and alternator, which caused the alternator to fail. Thankfully, my extended warranty covered most of the repairs, but the dealership specifically advised me to contact Valvoline because the damage was due to negligence during the oil change. Valvoline sent a representative to inspect the car before repairs were completed. They told both me and the dealership they would call back. They never did. When I followed up myself, customer care and an employee named Cal told me they "didn't understand how this could have happened" and denied my claim. When I asked to file a claim with their insurance, I was told this franchise "does not carry regular insurance" and that the manager alone decides which claims are accepted. I was told it might be escalated to an area manager, but even then, no callback could be guaranteed. So now I'm out nearly $600--the cost of the oil change, a new battery, and my $212 warranty deductible. If I didn't have an extended warranty, I would have been out even more. And worst of all, my kids and I were put in real danger when the car failed in traffic. There is absolutely no way oil suddenly appeared all over my serpentine belt and alternator on its own less than two weeks after an oil change. Yet Valvoline has put up every barrier possible to avoid taking accountability. I'm sharing this so other consumers know what they're dealing with. Be extremely cautious about trusting this location with your vehicle. Their negligence caused major damage, and their refusal to take responsibility is unacceptable.

We said came for oil change. I went inside to verify that they had the oil filter that I needed he said I'm not allowed in this building, This is not awaiting lobby. I need to leave immediately again a very rude person. He then sent out another gentleman who had a Service Manager uniform we told us they just sold the only one they had. I felt that visit could not be more unfriendly

Anxious and bummed I took it in to get it fixed. I was preparing myself for the worst a new or rebuild transmission which 3 other shops quoted me over 6g. if I needed one. They could've said anything, any price they want. The car doesn't move right?? Even getting a rebuilt transmission would be a lot less than a new or used truck. But, they came back to me with such an honest quote that not only they fixed the issue they also fixed 4 other issues and replaced the battery which I knew about btw And also cut a couple of hrs of labor because it didn't take as long as it was quoted. I mean NEVER in my 40 years of owing cars have I experienced that. Needless to say I will be going back for all issues. these guys rock! Ohh an I ended up paying waaaaay less than I thought just for the initial problem. I was extremely happy with their attention and the honesty they showed was unreal. Weird to say but these are some truly honest team. Especially dealing with this stressful situation.. Even my 9 year old wanted to thank them.     I had a problem with both the Orange and Milford locations the same day. I was having 4 new tires…read moreput on my car and was aware that the existing lug nuts were crappy so I decided to pick some up and drop them off to the guys doing the tires. The Milford store said they had some but not enough, that the Orange store had them. I asked her if there was more than one type, that I didn't want the ones with the hollow chrome caps, but I wanted the solid ones that were chrome. She said they had the solid ones. I went to the Orange store and told them the specs of the car - I needed 20 lugs (5 packages) but they said they only had 3 (when I had been told they had 7) - I bought the 3 packages and went back to the Milford store to purchase 2 more packages and then dropped them off at the tire place. I was told later after my tires had been installed that they were the wrong lugs. I went back to the Orange store that sold me the supposedly correct ones and they would only give me store credit as I didn't have my 2 receipts - had left them home. I told them they could look it up via my phone number and the woman said they couldn't, which was a lie. I went to the Milford store and the guy there was able to look up the 2 sales and refund me. I found it to be a slap in the face for a customer with them for 30 years, who they sold the WRONG LUGS to for them to treat me like this. I will no longer be a customer of Auto Zone. Costly mistake.
