Lazy, lack interest and now I don't trust. I wanted an oil change and tire rotation. I doubt they were planning to do any! I was watching them from beginning as I was waiting for it to be done ASAP. The person who supposes to rotate the tires did not rotate was parking the car but as soon as he noticed me he pulled back the car into the service center (yes there were no other car) and started working on tire rotation. The front desk guy is completely rude. I took in my car, had to uber home because it took 2+ hours to complete. This was not a problem, I understand people are busy. I asked them not to call me when my car was completed, and no updates were provided as I had to reach out during closing time. Had changed two rear tires, as soon as I turned my car on the light was on. I drove 5 mins to my house, then had a complete flat tire on the driver seat. Nothing was checked correctly, no communication, completely stranded on the side of the road because they were not thorough. Also have a scratch on my wheel. Completely disappointed. You guys need to do better. Change the front desk men everyone is having issues with who also refers to the shop as "his shop" I'm so upset, will never be back to this location. read more

I want to note that most of the staff here are very pleasant and professional. However, my repeated encounters with the bald African American gentleman at the desk have been completely negative. He is condescending, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude when answering basic questions. One bad attitude really drags down an otherwise solid business, and I hope management steps in to handle this. read more

The rudest people I've ever met. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had, not just in car service, any service i've ever had, this is the most horrible. - the front desk person was VERY impatient. Didn't want to give me any options for the battery I want to replace. Clearly wasn't even in a mood to even talk to customers - i drove up to the auto center, was told to move my car to the main parking lot - later received a txt message saying action required, asking me to call them - Called them but was told they don't know what's happening, asking me to wait - Received a call later saying they can't locate my car. I said it was at the main parking lot but got YELLED at saying I should've parked at the auto center. But they asked me to move my car to the main plot in the first place - Didn't even try to find my car and outright hung up on me I'm at a loss of words. No paying customers deserve such attitude. I arrived at this Walmart Auto Care center at 6:30 pm. I had a nail in my tire and I wanted to get it repaired. The internet said they were open until 7:00 pm that's why I came to this Walmart. I left after an oil change with my check engine light on. I did have a battery replacement done along with an oil change but when I returned to ask them to look at it, they told me to reset it myself by disconnecting the battery. That didn't work so I returned again to speak with the service manager. This is when I find out that the technician had noted that the light was on prior to service. I don't understand how that is cos it wasn't on when I drove the car there. Anyway, I take the car to an auto repair shop who diagnosed it as an oil temperature sensor failure and found that the sensor was not seated correctly. This sensor is located near the oil filter and I believe it was bumped during service. However, the service manager was not willing to work with me or entertain that thought. Poor customer service and now I believe the other reviews regarding poor service at this location. I used this place for the low cost but now I realize that with the low cost you get poor and inexperienced service. I won't make that mistake again. Update. So after having a mechanic correct the check engine light issue I have been running my car with no issues. Back to the same condition before I brought it in for an oil change. It's just convenient to pick up things you need while my car is being serviced. On top of that, they were nice and the lady at the counter was so kind and friendly. Google reviews has this shop at 2.0 stars. Was a little put off by that but took my vehicle in anyways for a full synthetic oil change. It was a positive experience, in and out relatively fast. Staff were polite. Bad reviews were probably karens that didn't take no for an answer like the tesla driver in line ahead of me after the receptionist told him at least three times that they don't service teslas, or who just dont know shit about their cars. I called to ask if they had tire repairing kits and the lady on the phone replied, " well we change the tire for you and then if you want you can get a kit" with all the unpleasantness in her voice. Ordered an oil change and tire rotation at the same time. 3 hrs later I was called in to pick up my car. It turned out tire rotation was not done at all, because I knew the trend wear difference between the front tires and the rear tires (my rear tires was newly installed and only got a few thousand miles on it, but my front tires were old and had got over 20000 miles). The technicians insisted that they did do the rotation. Talked to a supervisor and asked him to check out the tires to see the difference on trend. The supervisor was very angry. He told me he trusted his people and though I was making trouble for them. This is not the first time the same problem happened to me, although it happened at Fremont auto center last time. Be careful if you order a tire rotation and an oil change at the same time. They may only do oil change. Suggest you mark your tires before having the service. Otherwise you would not have a proof about whether they did the tire rotation or not. read more

My girlfriend's car needed a tire rotation. So I decided to bring it here since they only charge $2.50 per tire. Arrived around 9:30 am parked my gf's car in the service line while the technician was helping other customers waiting for service that didn't park their car in the service line. The technician didn't bother to come help me after he was done with the other customers, so I had to walk to the service area where he was working on other cars. I ask him if he could check my tires to see if they need a rotation. He told me to go inside to the counter. So after a few back and forth conversation, I went in to be greeted by the manager who got annoyed that the technician outside didn't help me. He told me that it was up to me whether I wanted a rotation or not. I told him that I wanted to know if I needed one before being put in the waitlist. He got a little annoyed and went outside to check my tires. He informed me that I needed one, but the wait is going to be a 6pm pick up since there are 4 cars ahead of you. I have to wait 7 hours for a tire rotation, no thanks. read more

!!!WARNING!!!DO NOT GET CAR SERVICED HERE!!!! Had a horrible experience here. Came here to to have a simple tire installation and came back with my driver side window not working and falling off the rack (which I later found out it was because they slammed the door too hard). The manager "accepted" the mechanic messed up and had me go fix it and in return, will pay me back. They never paid me back and had other managers in different departments claim they were not at fault and said they will call me back. They never did. I've heard many stories of them going in circles with customers denying blame and going as far as to getting lawyers involved. It is absolutely true! These people are dishonest, incompetent cowards when it comes to amending rights and taking any responsibility for damages that were caused by them, and they should be ashamed. So please do not risk having your car serviced here. Even if you had a good experience, you should consider yourself extremely lucky! There are other good,reputable shops that actually provides protection and care for customers. Learn from my mistake and many others before it's too late!! read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE! Worst customer service I have seen in a long time, staff does not communicate with their co-workers and just has a general lack of interest in their jobs. Had to wait 15 minutes just for someone to show up at the counter 2 days in a row. On the first day the Lady at the counter was useless in my search for tires, finally the manager stepped in and after about 45 min we were able to get my tires ordered, He made me an appointment for the next day to get them installed which kinda sucked because I was hoping to get them done the same day, but whatever it happens. So the next day I go in to my appointment and on my way I get a text message that reads "Your Tires Have Arrived at Walmart and are ready for installation. Please come in at your convenience and have them Installed". So I'm thinking great they are there and I'm early for my appointment, should be no problem. After waiting another 15 minutes for someone to show up at the counter, the same Lady shows up and is even less help than the day before, she seemed flustered because I was showing up for my appointment and had to once again get the manager to help her. So the manager finally comes and tells me I may not be able to get my tires installed, even tho my tires have arrived and I'm early for my appointment, he then gets one of the mechanics who comes in and starts yelling at me?! Like it's my fault that I made an appointment and am a bit upset that they won't put my tires on?! Anyway he came in hot, normally I would have threw down if he wanted a piece but I figured Ide let the old man have his thunder, I decided to be the bigger man and walk away. If you're looking for affordable and reasonable car maintenance, visit this Walmart Auto Center. Though I would say almost all of them are great, I prefer to speak to Allan first. He is one of the most honest people/mechanic I have met. Allan is quite experienced - and has expert knowledge of the car industry. Btw, if you want to know: I got an oil change done for my BMW and got 3 out of 4 of my tires replaced. Allan guided me throughout the process to make sure how I could ensure I was getting best "deal." He also advised on whether or not I should buy insurance on my tires. He might also be able to recommend other shops in the area that do not provide the type of service that Walmart centers do (i.e. like brakes). Aside from the fact that Walmart prices are normally the best in comparison to competing local dealership or service repair shops, you can rest assured that you are not being taken advantage of at this center. Please take my advice and DO NOT waste your time with this place. Please don't be like me. Seriously. DON'T. Learn from my mistake. Originally came here around noon today to get the TPMS sensor light checked out on my car, seeing as it's been on ever since this location replaced the tires on my car about a month ago. The service manager tells me that he doesn't know how to handle that, or he's never been trained, so I'd have to come back over the weekend........ Well, I've also been having problems with my car starting recently. It's either the battery or the starter. I ask them if they can test the battery. That way if it's not the battery, I'll know I need to go to my regular mechanic to get the starter checked out. I figured why not have them test the battery since I was there already. The gentleman behind the counter tells me that since I only need to get my battery tested, it shouldn't be long before I get it checked out. He gives me an estimated one and a half - two hour wait time. Four hours. I spent four hours in this Wal-Mart. Let me rephrase that...I WASTED four hours in this Wal-Mart. By the time 4 o'clock rolls around, guess what...? My. car. was. still. not. in. the. shop. In fact two new cars are pulled in ahead of mine. Now, I ask you this fellow yelpers... Could I have argued with the employees about how long it was taking Could I have caused a scene? Could I have asked if they were going in some sort of logical order when taking care of each car? Maybe. But what good would it be. Trust me. While I was waiting the four hours I was asking the gentleman behind the counter how much longer he would estimate it would take. He would tell me my car is coming up next and that it would only be about an hour longer. They also only had ONE employee that I could see working on the cars at this point in the day, and when the two cars were pulled into the shop at 4:00, he had to take his lunch break. So i would have had to wait for the two cars to be done AND wait for him to finish his lunch break. And none of this is communicated to you. In fact you are misled to believe it will only take two hours when it takes four or five. I wouldn't have had an issue if they would have just told me that it would be the end of the day before they could look at it. Or give me some sort of idea that only ONE mechanic would be out there. Because I would have simply left then and there. This is also not the first time this has happened to me at this location.......and I hardly ever shop at Wal-Mart for other terrible experiences that I've had in the past....but believe me when I say that I will do my best to never step foot in one of these establishments ever again. Please take my advice. I don't post Yelp reviews often. I just had to for the experience that I had today. If I only help one of you out there to avoid this hellish experience, then I will be a happy man. I know you may be thinking... it can't be that bad.......IT IS. Customer service representative by the name, Rhiannon, was very rude to customers. Was told 30 minutes for oil change but they didn't care to mention how long I'd be waiting before my car would be in the bay. Waited almost 2-3 hours before it was pulled in for the oil change. I understand they are "first come, first serve" basis but maybe they should offer appointments and give more information online. The wait is ridiculous. Usually I like to work in my car by myself because I like to follow the service manual instructions, like torque specifications, and these days it is hard to find the Technicians who know what they are doing. I met Mohamed Ali "Alan", The manager for Walmart Auto Care Center at Pleasanton, Ca. while I was replacing tires last year at Walmart. I figured out that he knew what he is doing, he follow book instructions, and he is one of the best Technicians I met. Yesterday my car oil change was due, I was not in the mode to change it by myself. I decided to go to Walmart Pleasanton, Ca to do it there. Lucky I, Mohamed was working this day, usually Shop manager don't do small jobs, like oil change by himself, but I saw Mohamed instructed the Technician who will work in my car, he also changed the filter and its O-rings by himself, he check that the work done right. My car was ready before the estimate time with 2.5 Hrs. Really thanks for Mohamed , and for Walmart for that great service. I will give him 15 stars out from 5, 5 for the great and fast service, 5 to know how to manage your team to complete the job right, 5 for how to smile and hear what customer want. read more

I can't thank Alberto, Ariel, Carmen and Alex enough! It was definitely a group effort! I arrived about 10 minutes before they closed and at first they told me they couldn't help me because they were closing. When the guys in the shop looked at my tire they knew I wouldn't make it far if they didn't help me. I told them I was a long way from home and didn't know where else to take it. I took two of my cars for the oil change. You should plan on leaving your car there and pick up later. Service was good; the Manager Allan was fantastic, and helpful. One of my car had small oil leak that he brought to my attention. Because the car is still under warranty so recommend taking it back to dealer. I would have never find this issue on my own. First off 4 hour wait with only 3 cars in the shop mind you nothing in the parking lot. We were waiting for just ONE tire. There one gentleman of Asian decent who said he'd be back and disappeared Poof! Next we went to ask the manager and was blown off. His employee long hair let us know we needed to check with the auto cashier. Which we had already done . After that we decided not to leave our car here to have it changed by Walmart's staff! We said we just want our tire. Carmen was able to find it for us --- something Walmart's auto manager and staff lacked competence. Very surprised by the behavior but it is what it is. Service is slow and the customer service is horrible! Cashier is far from friendly and has a bad attitude. I sat for 15 minutes before anyone approached me because it appeared the service tech was putting air in his own tires. When he finally did approach me to check my car in, the first thing he said was roll your windows down and get out of the car. I'm all for COVID safety, but he was just abrupt, unfriendly and made me uncomfortable. I also understand that getting into customers cars to drive into the service garage can be scary, but the same goes for the customer getting back into our car after the service guy has been in it. He asked if I was healthy and I said yes, I asked if he was and he gave me an attitude as if I offended him by me asking him the same thing. After getting my car back I checked the air in my tires on the car computer and they read 43 , 46, 41, and 39. I have no clue what they were thinking there since the tires shouldn't be filled beyond 35 PSI max. Horrible all around first experience and in addition I was charged for an additional quart of oil. Never have I been told my car takes 6 quarts of oil, not when I've changed it myself or when I've taken it to other places for an oil change. Steer clear of WALMART AUTO CARE IN PLEASANTON. If I had more time I would write about all of the things that weren't done correctly, but hopefully I've made my point. Steer clear of this place. read more
