The only reason I give this place such a high rating is the gentleman in electronics. He has such a great attitude I would go there again. I had to buy a few things and was super annoyed at all that is walmart! I ended up in the electronics department because my friend was looking for something so I decided to pay there for my items. Oh Wal Mart why you must be so tempting. This is one of the worse Wal Marts out there. The parking situation is ridiculous, there are carts every where, some times in the middle of the road. The inside just looks like its never been taken care of, its old and dated. There always seems to be a mess and there always seems to be huge lines no matter the time. Wal Mart isnt known for its customer service but this one is just bad, the employees dont even seem to care. I placed an online order and it was delayed for some reason. I checked this location's website inventory and they had it in stock. I tried calling first to make sure if their website was correct, but their phone customer service is the absolute worst. I start the day off by seeing this bicycle on Walmart.com this afternoon so I screenshot it so when I go to the store they can price match it just in case the price pops up different at the register. So I end up going to three different Walmart stores just to find it in stock at the last location which was north Chula Vista. Just as expected the bicycle rang up at $228 so the cashier asked the supervisor to come price match, Right off the bat Heather which is a supervisor comes off very hostile And not very understanding of my screenshot I saw on their website that after noon. So she pulls out a device scans the barcode and the bike rings up at $199 now. I explain to her that I just saw this ad three hours ago on their website and that I went to multiple Walmarts to find this bike and that the other Walmarts would honor the price. I work retail my entire life and if a customer has a screenshot of an item we have to honor it especially when the screenshot gives a date on the bottom right hand corner of my labtop. After all this explanation heather states that just because I went to other Walmarts does not mean we can price match at her location?!?!?! What!!!!! It's a chain store!!!!!! So I asked to speak to a manager, I explained to her what happened and I got the same response. Wow!!!! Great management north Chula Vista. At this Wal-Mart auto care center they are slow . I came in at 930am and left at 1230pm for an oil change, I sat I my car for 30 minutes till the technician came to my car to put me in line . So prepare to sit in the sun for a while. I think they need more help in the auto center. read more

This place is bad news. They are not enforcing social distancing while waiting in line. People are so close to each other and not following social distancing orders. They need workers out there to enforce and space out people in line. Also, inside the store is not any different. People are so close to each other and not following the markers labeled on the floors. While waiting in lines the cashiers are not cleaning anything at all. I didn't see any workers wiping down any of their lines down or the POS/Credit card readers. People are just touching them one after the other and they are not being cleaned or wiped down as all their emails say. This place needs a check up form the health organization to make sure they are following the rules. I don't have this issue when I visit Target you will see them constantly wiping things and keeping every one safe. read more

However every time I use this Walmart there is a foul smell on the women's restroom and last time I could smell it from the hall before even entering the restroom area. 5 stars may seem like a high review because it is Walmart. Frankly, if you know how Walmart operates and how their shopping experience is, one cannot expect the same experience that you would get at other stores. It is Walmart and they advertise cheaper prices (not necessarily always) but it's their game. Parking lot is pretty good. The fact that there's a McDonald's inside next to a nail salon is puzzling and the smells can be interesting but I mean, more to do for you. The aisles feel a little too narrow and I try to avoid this place because of how busy it is and how much I hate navigating through the aisles. I will say, on this occasion I care for Christmas wrappings and it's nice they have the back/garden area dedicated for this. Means I don't have to navigate the entire store! read more

Went to Walmart to return an item with missing parts when some lady behind me was telling another costumer that I was taking pictures of her. When that other lady came over asked me if I was taking pictures of her the lady that was accusing me said yes I was and she was going to snatch my phone. When I asked for a manager the comments of head bashing and following me to my car came no one called anyone and no one came to talk to me and let me know what my options where until I went outside and followed me I told her to stop following me and I showed her my phone with no pictures of her and she left. I then went to my car called and talked to a manager after 30 min and was told to call 911 after the lady had left the store. I will not be going to that store again 2 time someone's has threatened me here. read more

One of the worst Walmart's for cleanliness and service. Also false advertising! I'm a front line healthcare worker during the covid pandemic and was turned away with my hospital issued work badge at the front door when I asked if they'd let me cut the line. As an essential worker, I don't have time off from work to stand in a line daily at a store. Walmart claims to allow first responders to cut the line to get whet they need. Absolutely wrong! This walmart auto can be the most frustrating process. The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the assistant manager Jennifer. She totally understood my frustrations and actually was helpful unlike the main manager Nick. Nick, just gave me a bunch of excuses and was quick to get rid of me. My wife had a bad experience at this Walmart. She had A blowout on the freeway so went right away to a nearby tire center. Ended up at this Walmart. When she got there she got in a line of cars and sat patiently. She expected a wait. Every auto center employee she that walked by she would ask if she needed to check in or pay for a tire or whatever. They all assured her to stay with her car and it kept moving. After an hour and a half wait she got to the front of the line she spoke to Frank and he told her that there was "at least a 2 and a half hour wait from that point." She thought of him that they should have a sign or a person telling people how long the wait was. He said it wasn't his problem. She asked for a manger so he said he would go get him. Instead he walks 20 feet away and starts talking about my wife to a few others employees. After that he had my wife tell that happened to a cashier because the manager wasn't in. read more

This is probably the worst wal mart store in all san diego. I went there to return my xbox one s since i found out a new one is coming out next month, anyways i had it for less than 7 days have the receipt with me eveything is in its package. Customer service declined my return becuase it was missing the white carboard were the manual goes in. They told me i had to wait for a manager, i waited 45 min for the manager to answer. Manager never came out.I left mad didnt want to waist anymore time in there. Ironically there is a big sign saying "satisfaction is our priority". It should read wasting guest time is our priority" becuase thats all they are good for. Avoid this place at all cost. P.s parking is horible there. read more

I don't know if it was just the time of day I dropped by to purchase a much needed thumb drive at 9pm on a Wednesday night but I was delightfully surprised by the immediate help and service I received by Walter. Usually I have to hunt down an employee but I was in and out of there within 8 minutes because Walter took the initiative to approach me and ask me if I needed help finding something. This was the very first time I experienced this at a Walmart so this is quite noteworthy! He directed me to the correct aisle saving me time. At that department near the photo lab, Marilyn helped me as well with the scan disks and thumb drive I needed explaining to me the difference. Marilyn ultimately recommended a thumb drive for the same 32gigs of storage space I needed and escorted me to another aisle where they hung. Her recommendation saved me about $3-$4. She excused herself to help another lady waiting and a gentleman standing at the electronics department register asked me if someone was helping me. I told him she had to leave and he rushed right over to help me. I had grabbed some cookies along the way upon entering that were at the beginning of the registers and he had no problem ringing me up. He advised me to just hold on to my receipt which I offered the lady at the front exit way to check but she just smiled and nodded for me to have a good evening. I walked out having a pleasant, quick, and efficient experience at Walmart? Did this just really happen? Yes! YES by golly, it did! For this reason... 5 stars! Well done Walmart! If I could give zero stars I would. I have been coming to this place for oil changes since the price is pretty decent. I came two weeks ago to get my oil change and two hours later my car was declined due to a drain plug rounded. I had to wait two hours for them to tell me this WTF! So I was very polite and asked why? and the employee Ernesto told me your car part was damaged and we didn't do it and we can't do the oil change here. Mind you this is where I had it done three months ago.... on top of that the mofo was very disrespectful and told me your waisting my time I have to go You have to speak to the manager. So to make a long story short and coming twice to this place to get the issue solved I finally came today and I had to wait almost three hours to get my oil change. Even though NIcholas the manager told me that I wouldn't have to wait in line and I would be in and out of here. Not very happy and I'm not coming back. read more

I never had any issues with the employees here. I try not to bug them with dumb request. If its not on the shelf, I wont ask them if they have any in the back. If I go here I just get what I need and leave fast. Only go here really early before the crowd comes or the homeless wake up next door. If you are here around 9am you will not have any issues. Homeless camp next to this walmart. A bunch linger in the parking lot. Im cool with them but just warning others if it bugs you. Also the parking area gets crowded due to all the other business connected to this area. One nice thing is they have a decent selection on mens clothes for a reasonable price. I could get a decent shirt and some shorts for under 20 bucks. Again the employees do their best with the situation they are put in. If you need to return something here, be prepared to wait in line. Good prices but it is still Walmart. It is what it is. read more
