What a horrible experience. I spent 15 minutes yesterday waiting for ANYONE with a key to come to the paint department,so they could unlock the cabinet so I could buy 1 can of spray paint. I listened to 3 pages over 15 minutes come over the P.A. system,and talked to 2 employees,all for nothing. No one ever came. 1 star is to generous. If you have a similar complaint, pos it here. The Assistant Store Manager, Wilma, is super rude. I attempted to exchange a HDMI cable purchased at the WalMart located on EGB. The cable was too short and this WalMart had the one I was looking for in stock. Wilma stated per "policy", they are not taking any returns/exchanges purchased from other WalMarts. Even though I just returned an item purchased online. I informed Wilma there are no signs at either WalMart advising of this return policy. Additionally, I was never advised of this "policy" when I purchased the cables. I again explained to Wilma that I was going to exchange the cable for a longer cable, which was only in stock at the Bruceville location. I relayed to Wilma that this is unfair to the customers Wilma acknowledged the "policy" is not posted anywhere and replied, it's not fair and it's not meant to be fair to the customers! Wilma went on to say the computer system won't even recognize/accept the exchange and she just walked away....... Wow!!!!!!! Great customer service Wilma. I understand that food and cleaning supplies cannot be returned/exchanged due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But HDMI cables?!?! Really Wilma?!?! As I was exiting the store, I came across another manager, Jorge. I explained the situation to Jorge, with Wilma chirping in his ear. Jorge was kind enough to exchange the cable for a longer one. Thanks Jorge. And thank you Wilma!!! By the way, the computer system did recognize/accept the exchange with no problem. read more

I definitely love how this location is not packed, clean, and have an abundant helpful workers. I've been to this location a few times now, once to pick up an online order, and a few times to walk around to shop. This location generally has a lot more variety than the location off Elk Grove Blvd and Hwy 99. Albeit, it isn't 24/7 either.. boo... And if you're hungry, they have a Subway inside! Next to the Customer Service department. On my last trip here, I walked around the store eating my sub while sipping my icee. :) read more

As far as Walmarts go... this is a very new and nice store located on Bruceville Road, south of Elk Grove Blvd. in Elk Grove. This is a very huge store which carries "everything under the sun"! The parking lot is also huge with very ample disabled parking, and spaces for all the cars of the many people that could fill the store. One drawback that I found is that if you are looking for something in particular, it would take a bit of time to find it because the store is so large. But once you learn the layout, I am sure that that would later be a minor problem. My reason for writing this review was because of the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE that I received on my visit to the store last night. I had purchased an item a few months ago and found it to be defective. "Shaunai", the acting manager in the evening, was very cordial, friendly, and efficient in granting me a complete refund for the defective item. Customer service is something that, in some stores, is missing these days, and Shaunai should be commended for providing that. For this reason, I will continue shopping at this Walmart store. read more

Ah, in between all the gossip heard in this store, even from Customer Service Managers in regards to higher management. . It's awful, absolutely a horrendous sight to bare and an even worse memory to have witnessed. The CSM, Rie, is the rudest individual that I've ever met in my entire life. Unprofessional and constantly complaining about how she's picking up the slack in the front end and that of higher management. To make matters worse, she's blatantly stated that she gets hundreds of complaints, possibly thousand within a year. Congratulations? It's quite a milestone to have so many individuals disgusted by you, I suppose? Learn some manners, as if it isn't a sign that all the front end cashiers talk badly of her. I have been shopping at walmart for 8 years but this one clerk (or whatever he is) has been rude to me for the 3rd time. Today I walked into the store & he had a giant smile as he spoke to anyone that was Caucasian but with me, that turned his smile into a frown. I decided to just watch.....welp he was friendly & spoke to anyone who who looked like him but me & any latin, indian or any other african american were ignored. I can't believe how bad the service is in this store! Coming from LA, I was expecting employees to be way better, nicer, more helpful and customer-focused but apparently, I was wrong. I wanted to purchase a car stereo today and had to ask for somebody to assist me with the locked counters and when nobody came, the employee at the electronics counter had me walking back and forth (the car accessories section is a couple of aisles down) and had me wait like an idiot. When I asked to speak with the manager, the "assistant manager" came and she was not helpful at all too! I don't get it. The store is new and clean but what's with the sub-standard service? Hands down one of the nicest, cleanest and non-ghetto Walmart I know. I absolutely love love love coming to this Walmart. I don't live close to this Walmart but I would travel miles away just to go to this Walmart. My first stop is to the baby department. Now that I have a 10month baby girl, it's a must that I get good deals. Walmart is a perfect place for cute & affordable baby clothes. I can spend hours at the baby section. They always have sale items. I love browsing through the clearance racks. There's also a clearance aisle toward the back of the store that's pretty cool. read more

Because I"m anti-social, this Wal-Mart is sometimes preferable because it actually has a self check out line. What a beautiful thing. I mean you could see the grime smear as they wiped. I asked why they didn't use another rag? The cashier said they were only allowed one rag per shift. I disagree with what Winston has to say. The HWY 99 Wal-Mart isn't bigger at all and definitely not as clean. This wal-mart has way more in terms of selection and is a lot less busy. The only thing the HWY 99 wal-mart has over this is the fact that it has the neighborhood supermarket Wal-Mart next to it (which has become one of my favorite places to go for quick grocery shopping.) This new Wal-Mart has a Subway in it (which I like better than McDonalds). I also like the fact that it ISN'T open 24 hours a day as it keeps the area nice and quiet. It will be interesting to see what kind of development this Wal-Mart brings. The Elk Grove area definitely needs more "shopping options," and this may be a good start for this part of the community. read more

No Walmartians found here yet. Cool spot for Wally Mart fans, I like this location better than the 2 other Walmarts on EG Blvd. Big clean store with short lines makes shopping a breeze, even for men. Return/exchange and check-out lines are never crowded, I have not experienced a '3 is a crowd' kind of waiting here. Minus 1 star: Unlike all the other locations, the canning supplies are separated pretty far from the bakeware. AND What's up with the parking lot forever flooded with carts all over the parking spaces though? read more

This particular Walmart is fairly new. Everything still looks shiny and new. Lol. The employees has really done a good job keeping everything organized. Yes, I did see some stuff out of place but I truly believe that's the lazy shoppers who change their minds on things. I give them a 2 thumbs up for last Black Friday sale. I was able to come into this huge crowd and buy a TV at a crazy cheap price. They had this guarantee system that you picked up a ticket from that department during the time window frame and you actually got it. It wasn't some gimmick of 1 per store. If they sold out but were issued a ticket...it was honored. The only thing I don't like is a limited grocery choice. It's not like some of the big ones around town. And what's up with all the self checkouts??? Limited cashiers is also bad for business. Self checkouts are useless when you have a cart full. No room on the scales where the bags are and being weighed. If you move the bags it thinks you've stolen something. They really need more cashiers!! read more

Do not go out of your way to come here if the Elk Grove BLVD & 99 Location is convenient for you. I think only people who live west of this location will be the ones who shop here. This Walmart is within walking distance of me. I mention this to show how it is easy to shop here frequently. Anyway, went here to pick up camping clothing for the grandkids and a prescription for my mother. I was so tired but kept pushing forward to get all of my chores for the day done. I made a list. Used the list, until, something distracted me. Anyway, got in line and while Amber was ring up my items, I remembered I need Hamburger buns. Amber must have seen the look on my face. Shecalled for back up and asked rodrigo for a game saving plan. He snagged the buns and zipped them to Amber before I was ready to pay. That is service. Her kindness and willingness to help someone out of a jam is exemplary of humanity. This act of kindness deserves much more than a review. Bought a mountain bike from these guys and it was whats to be expected from a Wallmart bike. The bike works, but the quality was mediocre. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but it was something that bothered me a little. What really bothered me was when i bought a bike pump and it would keep leaking air out whenever i try to pump it. I went back to return it with my bike by my side not riding it in store and a cashier and the greeter kept stopping me asking for a receipt for a bike i bought already and it obviously had a lot of dirt on it so it was quite an embarrassing moment to experience. My advice would be if you just want a bike that works and nothing else go buy a bike here otherwise look somewhere else and dont bring your bike inside or they will keep annoying you. read more

Unfortunately, on November 1, 2018 my husband and I visited Wal-Mart to purchase a money order. This has been hands down the worst display of customer service that I have ever received in the history of being a customer. Initially, when my husband went into the store, about 6:20 pm on November 1, 2018, he did not have his wallet; I was in the car so I immediately returned to the store to purchase a money order totaling $1012. We left Wal-Mart picked up a deposit from our business and returned. I entered that store, unaccompanied by my husband, and went directly to customer service to purchase my second money order. I was told by Monica to, "wait a minute"; she was sorting through what appeared to be receipts. Once signaled, I stepped to the counter and requested a second money order for $1012. Monica told me that she was, "not going to sell me another money order because I needed to purchase the money order within the same transaction because that was the store policy." She stated that, "I could not leave the store and then return" then without a single word, Monica stepped behind a wall and spoke to another associate then returned back to the counter to make a call. She turned her back and spoke to someone mentioning that, "my husband came in earlier without an identification card." Once she got off of the call, I asked her for her name and she said, "don't write down my name." I told her that as a consumer, "I have a right to know her name because she was not wearing a name tag. I also told her that the policy was absurd because I make the same purchase every single month." Monica then began to debate with me about the policy. I told Monica "if the policy was not in writing for the consumer to see that it does not exist and that it was practically idiotic because I purchase the same money orders every single month." Moreover, what measures would be in place to prevent me from purchasing another money order from the Wal-Mart a little over three miles away? I left and returned with my husband only to be met by another associate, I did not remember to record her name but she verified that what Monica said was true. The associate said that, "they could not sell us another money order for another 24 hours." We called corporate November 2, 2018 at 5:00 am (pst), to file a complaint and confirm what the policy states and the only restriction is that a consumer's aggregate amount could not exceed $8000 in a single day and that the number of times you return to by a money order is not, I repeat not a factor. Therefore, I take that what we were told was an absolute blatant lie. As consumers, we do not want anyone to experience this form of customer service. A consumer should never be made to feel as though; he or she is a criminal. Monica was extremely unprofessional and honestly this is her norm. What I would like to see is advanced training in customer service and quality service without bias at your store. Since the policy that she stated is inaccurate I can assume that this will not be made visible for a consumer to see. read more

Honestly, the Assistant Managers in this location are obnoxious with an exception of a few good ones. There's one that yelled back at customers and the store manager did nothing about it. Oh and not to mention, blame it on his subordinates as to why he yelled at the customer. Btw, the employee left 'cause she can't stand it no more. Another one who likes to write people up so they can get promoted. Sort of like "I'm the best one and you all suck kind of thing. Therefore, promote me." I don't even know why on Earth this person even got promoted as what they called AP manager. A few good managers left 'cause of upper management. The store manager turns a blind eye on what's really going on and backs up his incompetent assistants. So I spend my money somewhere else. Someplace else where they don't treat their hard working employee for granted and their lazy workers as Employee of the month. I hope things turn out for the better. I hate to seeing people work so hard so other people can take credit for their work! Remember: Employee don't quit companies, they quit managers. Regardless, there's more to it than meets the eye. So next time u go shop in this store, please treat the ordinary associate nicely or even lower management. They have nothing to do with any of your complain. This is a different kind of Walmart. They hire good employees that are extremely helpful. When I am looking for a product it is not uncommon for one of the employees to escort me over to the proper isle. My typical experience at most Walmart's is I don't find anyone but if I do they are rarely able to assist me. I get a good level of service at this Walmart. The store is clean and the employees are very helpful. I hope they are able to maintain the high standard they have set. read more

I went to this Walmart to buy some Jeans so I can wash them every day to protect my kids from COVID-19 I saved up enough money to buy four pairs of pants which costed me $80 they are not letting people try on any clothes in the changing room. so I purchased the pants size that I usually wear and when I got home they were Not true to size . so I went back to try to Exchange them and they will not except any returns or exchanges for apparel which I do not understand they let customers walk around and touch all of their clothes all day long but I wanna return my pants after two hours and they won't let me return them . You can return almost everything else just not appare‍.I talked to the manager and she was rude about it and just said there's nothing I can do. until COVID-19 is over meanwhile I'm sitting on $80 of pants that don't fit. Thanks Walmart for being understanding of my situation. And taking care of essential workers that have to work and take extra precautions. I will not be shopping at Walmart anymore I done . First the register lady did not know how to process the exchange, waited 10 minutes to pay. After I paid, they told me they could not find the key to open the propane cabinet. Made me wait 35 minutes and then tells me to go all the way to customer service to get a refund. Completely unacceptable. Such bs. read more

I love coming to this Walmart. There's usually decent parking, the employees at this store is way nicer than the one down the street on Elk Grove blvd, it is much cleaner and organized. It's also closer to my house. I just wish there was extended hours. Updated review: I went to the Walmart on 10075 Bruceville Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95757 today because I had some normal shopping to do and I have a dress that I needed to return because it did not fit me. I didn't have the receipt for the dress. When went to return, I was told that I HAD to buy something from the same department for the same amount rather than crediting the return to my purchases which was way more than the 10.00 dress I was returning. When they told me about that policy, I questioned why is that policy not writtten along with the posted policy they have for return items without a receipt, the front end manager basically said it's up to their store manager to make their own policy. I find it ridiculous that they were unable to return the item and credit it to store credit or have that amount credited to another purchase. I had over 60.00 in my cart I was ready to pay for. I had one clothing item that was 5.00 and did not find any other clothes I wanted to purchase. The front end manager simply told me that she cannot return it over the 5.00 left. I asked if she can just credit the other 5.00 towards the rest of the items in my cart and she said she can't do that because of that specific managers policy. It's ridiculous that they have some unwritten policy other than what is posted at their return counter about returns with no receipt. All policies whether if it is that specific stores policy or not should be in print and posted for all customers to review at any time. Also, the return cashier was very condescending when I asked to speak to a manager cause I didn't have another 5.00 to spend. She said "You're really asking a manager over $5.00??". Whether I'm asking for manager over 5.00 or 100.00, I can ask for a manager at anytime if the cashier is telling me something different than the written policy at the counter. The cashier needs additional training in customer service to not sound so condescending when customer ask for a manager. Needless to say I walked out not returning my item and left everything I was going to purchase. You'd think that the front end manager would make some discretion to make exceptions if she sees I'm spending a lot more than I was returning. I guess you guys rather lose the sale. I recently purchased an air mattress for holiday guests at the Walmart store located at 3661 Truxel Road Sacramento, CA 95834. When I opened the box, I was shocked and disappointed. The air mattress was not only filthy and obviously used, but it reeked of marijuana. I did not panic, rest assured Walmart would allow me to return the item and get my $74.00 back. I was offended Walmart would allow an item in such condition to be sold. I attempted to return the item at the Walmart store located at 10075 Bruceville Road in Elk Grove, California 95757. I was advised I could not return the item for refund, despite the deplorable condition. I could only exchange for a new air bed. Considering the item's condition, I had little faith Walmart would be able to exchange for a new, unused item. I requested my money back with Anabell, one of the store's assistant managers. Anabell was an embarrassing ambassador for the Walmart brand. She not only refused a refund, claiming air beds can never be returned, she consistently bad-mouthed the Walmart location where the item was purchased. After consistently attempting to receive refund of my hard-earned money, I was forced to exchange the item. Anabell's consistent degradation of the Walmart brand was embarrassing. I advised her of her complete lack of customer service abilities. I was offended by the item Walmart attempted to pass off as "new". I believe a full refund of the $74.00 was acceptable given the horrendous experience I received from Anabell and the Elk Grove, California Walmart. I have worked in customer service as a manager for 20+ years and have always instructed my representatives to treat the customer with respect and to assess all situations individually. Anabell did not. Furthermore, her continued disrespectful comments of the entire Walmart brand should be an embarrassment for the Walmart brand. She is not an ambassador for the brand, and I am concerned her lack of customer service skills will only create lackluster service representatives. read more
