For all the negative publicity Walmart receives, it's only fair that they get some good reviews when due. Yesterday I had occasion to run in and pick up a few things. Twice, I enlisted the assistance of a salesperson while they were working and twice they dropped what they were doing in order to assist me. They didn't just point me in a direction, they actually led me exactly to where the product was I was looking for. Now that's customer service. One gentleman (Bob?) was stacking products and he quickly got up and walked with me showing me the location of the product I was seeking. Next time, I'll be more cognizant of names so accolades go to the right person. I then had to look for help getting a product from a secured cabinet and once again a salesperson dropped what she was doing (monitoring self-check area) and fetched what I wanted. There is a worker named Lolo who got mad at my mother and another older lady because they parked their cars in two of 12 empty online pick up parking spots in the lot. Lolo called the older lady a "stupid f***ing b*tch" because she couldn't move her car right away. Then we went to talk to a manager because that should be a fireable offense. All the manager said was that he would talk to her about because it was unacceptable behavior. He also agreed that she should be fired cause it was not the first they had problems with her. But the next time we went there Lolo was still there. Other than that, there are a lot of nice workers who are willing to help when you can find them. Toni Bernard is an absolute ANGEL working at the soon to be closing on 31 October 2025 at Federal Way Walmart located at. 1900 S 314th St Federal Way, WA 98003 She resolved my dilemma on the item that I had trouble with when I took the item to the Renton WA Walmart store yesterday.. I spoke with her after an atrocious time at the Renton Walmart that left me frustrated because the online item I bought was defective. I initiated the return online per Walmart directions. I got an email that said just scan this code and bring the item to ANY Walmart for a refund. Ok simple right? Not! The Renton store CS did take back the item. In fact they got a reply claiming my payment for item was unsupported. I was in turmoil trying to decide which Walmart store to make a second attempt returning the item. I felt I should call this Federal Way store and I'm so happy I listened to my gut and called because this lead me to the employee Toni Bernard! Toni listened and immediately knew and told me all they needed to do was this and this. Oh My Gosh, she knew exactly what to do! She took charge made calls was a go between for me and Walmart Corporate While waiting on the line for her to come back I receive a text saying "Good news..." and I see I have been sent a refund! In addition Marc at Corp Walmart sent me a hard copy label via snail mail when he was told I do not have a printer nor transportation. Talk about exceptional service! She works at the Federal Way, WA Walmart store that is closing on 31 October 2025. I feel people like her are being sent out in the world so people know good people doing the jobs of Angels do exist! This WAS my favorite Walmart. It was smaller than most, tidy, clean, and well organized. It even had a full FABRIC department! If my back or knee hurt, I could get an electric scooter. Jeanne has horrible customer service, she told me that I needed to wait 20min for her supervisor to do a return, when I asked to talk to someone else she stated everyone else is on lunch. Very disappointing that Walmart is allowing someone with bad customer service that can't look someone in the eyes while talking to them but speaking rude and dismissive, I am thankful that Shawn Lizarraga-Ortiz from APTL department and her colleague came to de-escalate things and spoke to me with respect to help the matter of a refund, Jessica helped as well and seems to be a better fit as a assistant manager then Jeanne. Then you go all the way back to the front to find someone to unlock it for you. Then you have to walk all the way back to the sock place to get the sock and then you have to walk all the way back to pay for them right away. This Wal Mart is not open "open" until 11. You will get turned away starting as early as 10:45 PM if you try to last minute shop. Pity web site doesn't mention this after I drove real fast, arrived at 10:54 and was turned away by the usual friendly Door Person. This is my go to Walmart , I loved it and I even downloaded the app. I am aware of thief's in the area but as a loyal customer I don't appreciate the self check out lady blocking me from leaving until I show my receipt like if she didn't see me pay for it, I paid with Walmart pay and once I showed her she wanted me to show her the items as well, I don't appreciate being treated like a thief. Parking and checking out are the biggest reasons I try to avoid Walmart. It's a trade off cheaper prices but at a greater degree I would rather pay a bit more for easier checkout and better parking. They also always have people pushing something when you go in the door. Either homeless people or drug dealers doing stuff in the parking lot. To be honest I don't feel that safe going there. Warning to all sincere and trustworthy customers, BEWARE of 'poverty causing' Walmart! This gone Friday, I purchased four tires and wheels cleaner while detailing my SUV. Even my boys were wondering why I purchased so much cleaners. Needless to say, I ended up using only two of the cleaners. However, when I went to return the unused two cleaners back to Walmart, a woman at the Customer Service counter who looked like a drug addict, or a recovering drug addict, had the audacity to accuse me of replacing the cleaner with soap water. She came to that foolish conclusion by opening one of the brand new cleaner container, and inhaling the liquid HAZARDOUS chemical content. A typical crack or meth user I guess. Granted, I always go to Walmart for my ammunition I expected the experience would be the same at every location, however, coming to this location was oddly disappointing... for starters it's strike me as a huge surprise that the weaponry department is included inside of the toy department, I would expect some type of separation from the two, like most other Walmarts that I've been into. But besides the poor location of the guns and armor, there was a shortage on the amount of ammunition they carried. That being said, I decided to purchase all the cases they had in stock (which were only three) after asking for all three cases I was told I could only be sold one case because of the department policy... again I say I always purchase my ammunition at Walmart in bulk because of the great prices they hold. So now I'm frustrated with these "department policies" that are new to my knowledge... Whatever, I'll take one case. The guy at the counter also didn't have the keys to open the cabinet because he allegedly doesn't work in that department, so he called over the intercom for the key holder... So I waited, and waited, oh and also waited some more..... After 17 minutes and 43 seconds of waiting, the keys magically arrived and I was finally granted access to my ammo. The guy at the counter did his best to call for the key holder at least 4x before they arrived and he apologized for the wait. He also sold me 2cases vs the initial one I was quoted. All in all, I'm not in this area enough to need to return to this Walmart ever again. read more

Carts needs to be replaced. They also have under six forever security under cover that father you around the store sometimes. They have cheap items that are not as nice as bed Bath and beyond. On Sunday mornings this walmart only has one cashier. I see alot of people buying groceries for either for the household or church gathering. This one cashier causes a long line about 15 carts long and an average wait of 30min which is ridiculous. However both self checkouts are open with a very few people the use them. Oh my goodness, all the horrible rumors were true. Yikes! Ordered two bookshelves and picked them up at the store. Or at least we tried to pick them up at the store.... After pushing the little computer kiosk numerous times, we began pushing the red button for assistance and heard it announced to entire store that customers were waiting at pick up. Ten minutes later still no help. Four people come in and out of back trying very hard to not make eye contact. One employee, very friendly called for help, but still no one. Pushing kiosk button, pushing red button repeatedly. Called the store and spoke with customer pickup. Told the nice lady we've been waiting 25 minutes at customer pickup in her store could she please come out and help us. She called for help but this time added a name. Today I was looking for rock salt and one of the employees actually went to the back to look for some, as the shelves were empty. I purchased a $100 toy 3 days ago and was returning it because it did not fit my son. I lost the receipt, but paid with my credit card so I was hoping they could pull it up on their computer system. They do not have that technology which is fine, they said we can give you store credit. I was fine with that, but being the honest person that I try to be, I mentioned to them that the item was purchased with a 10% discount because it was originally an open box purchase. They said, "if that's the case, then we can't do any type of return for you since we don't know how much you bought it for". They were already going to give me a full price return, but since I told them I didn't pay full price, now they won't let me return it at all. I told them I could pull up the online credit card transaction to show them the price, they brought their yellow vest wearing "lead" and she was about the rudest, unhappiest person I ever met. She approached and said " no receipt, no return" and continued to walk away. No "sorry sir, we can't and this is why". I guess this is my fault for being honest to a dishonest company. This is a decent walmart. It's a clean and well organized store; which sometimes isn't the case for Walmart. The employees are friendly and helpful and they have a good selection of groceries and items available. The parking lot is large and has spaces available. Sponsoring a family for Christmas, I came here looking for toys. They had a good selection along with the regular seasonal stuff. The candy shelves though were almost empty, just a couple things to choose from. The gift cards were the same story. The same 5 businesses were the only choices left. Not much either in the Seahawks swag area. I saw they have a good magazine area. The store was pretty clean and organized. It was also quiet which I thought was strange. read more

I tend to be more of a Target shopper and ended up opting to head to Walmart this weekend to get a certain Apple electronic product that was on their website for a very competitive price vs. Target/Amazon. I placed my order via the Ship to Store option and when I got to the store unfortunately the item hadn't arrived. The website was offering the opposite color of what they had in stock and since the SKUs were different, one couldn't easily exchange. I guess they've had this issue in the past and the person in electronics (TJ) although busy had come up with a great solution of refunding my current order and then helping me place my order at a near by Walmart that had it in stock via Walmart.com to get the better pricing (since the in-store price was higher). The assistant store manager (Mark) came up with an easier solution so I was able to walk away with the item I had hoped to get at a good price and in a better color than my original order. I was impressed that both TJ and Mark went above and beyond, it was really great customer service. read more

OMG, this was a friggin ordeal. So I had just been pretty pissed from battling traffic and stopped in to Ivar's right up the street and they slightly irked me, so I knew I had to grab a few things from Wally World and entered the one down on the southern end of town by exit 142B on my GPS (that one's programmed in as one of my favorites on the GPS, and I love THAT location, BTW). So my GPS as per usual is being weird with me telling me to turn around when I know for a fact I can keep pressing south slightly away from the main road and eventually I'll hit Wally World. Well, I saw the bright yellow Walmart sign off to my left while my dumbass GPS that takes me on stupid routes all the time (can we tell I hate my GPS??? Ironically, I was on my way to Walmart to grab a cell phone holder for the car so I could just use Google Maps) and turn in. I notice almost immediately that this one isn't my usual beloved Federal Way Walmart just off exit 142B, but say screw it, it's worth a try. The parking lot is a bit crowded with kind of narrow lanes, but I manage to find parking relatively safely. I notice there's only one door into the store and figure THIS is why the parking lot is such a mess. Like, seriously, dude, just blast a friggin hole in the wall on the other side and have two entrances. I had to sort of battle my way in because the Girl Scouts were there and there was a huge crowd formed around the door I used. Whatever, it's the Girl Scouts, maybe I'll get some cash back at the check-out and indulge my cocai... I MEAN Thin Mint habit on my way out. Make my way in and realize HOLY CRAP!!! I've wandered into the ghetto! This store looks like total crap, and the customers and staff definitely belong on People of Walmart! Whatever, I think to myself, I've made it out of the ghetto alive before. Let's get that damn cell phone holder (I had given up on the idea of getting food upon seeing they had a tiny grocery section) and GTFO. Get to electronics in this VERY weirdly laid out store, and quickly lose any hope in humanity I had left. Not only is it the ghetto over in the phones and phone accessory section, it's friggin skid row. Literally. There was a dude who LEGIT looked like he was spacing out on heroin dancing REALLY slowly in the aisle. I think alright, we'll make a pass and see, just whatever you do, DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT!!! Well, no dice in the phone and phone accessory aisle. Take a quick tour of the rest of the electronics section because in the past I've found stuff in weird places, or found the RARE store associate to wrangle into showing me where the goods I need are. No dice. So I headed for the exit. On my way out, that narrow laned parking lot almost turned into a VERY expensive night as I very nearly was hit by someone going WAY too fast for a parking lot on the WRONG GODDAMN SIDE OF THE LANE!!! And I would have been screwed since, judging by the rest of the clientele I had witnessed, this person would undoubtedly have been uninsured. So yeah, lesson one, get that damn cell phone holder, preferably at the OTHER Walmart in the less ghetto part of town, and some time when I'm not wanting to beat to death every single person I come across. I will most certainly be avoiding this location, especially after reading all the other reviews. read more
