All the typical Wal Mart stuff is here plus for you mainlanders there is a ton of souvenir type Hawaiian stuff here too... I try not to come here too often, but ventured here for a few necessities. They have changed up the aisles a bit and it takes some getting used to, but I like it. The store was pretty neat and orderly today despite the volume of customers running around. This store has far more of a selection than the Fort Street store just because of it's size. I rarely price comparison shop, but I decided to do it today and was glad I did. The cashier was so friendly and courteous not like so many I've encountered at this store. Chad greeted each customer and asked them how they were doing. You can tell he really pits forth and effort and he follows the rules and I so appreciate that in people. He verified each item I was doing a price comparison on and he did not rush me whatsoever. This was an enjoyable experience because of the way Chad responded to his customers, as well as the bonus being that I have an extra $10 in my pocket because I decided to price comparison shop. read more

Yes, this is the busiest Wal-Mart I've ever been to, but also has the worst customer service. Ever. Don't bother calling them to check their inventory cause apparently, they don't have any. And when they know a customer is calling upset, they just keep you on hold FOREVER. It's no wonder why people would rather go to Target. Screw this Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart saved our butts several times while we were preparing for my friend's wedding...the bridal party came here to get some last minute items for an emergency kit...and the groomsmen had to stop by for some last minute khaki pants and shoe purchases! It's a huge store of course -- and the best way to find anything is to ask a store associate, otherwise you just end up getting sucked into the endless aisles of stuff. Anytime I need to pick something up that's not on sale at Longs, I'll head to Walmart. Most times, the item I'm looking for will be cheaper at Walmart than at Longs or even Target. Had to pick up some batteries for my daughter's mobile and they sell batteries in smaller bulk than Sam's...I don't need 48 batteries...12 will do just fine. Ended up with not just batteries but a few other things. At least two of the three of the other things were less than $3. I usually like to park on the second floor, especially if I go at night but if I need to pick something up for work, I like to go in the morning, like at 6:30am or 7:00am, because the parking downstairs has a lot of open stalls. The store itself is usually really crowded during the afternoons and evenings. Even at 10pm is super crowded on any given day. I've found that going in the early morning is the best time to do any shopping...no crowds and it's easy to get in, get what you need and get on your way. No maneuvering around slow customers. I prefer to shop at Target and Longs but if I need to get something right away that's not on sale or I don't need it to be of optimal quality, I'll head on down to Walmart. read more

This is one of my "must stop" places when I'm staying in Waikiki. I get all my supplies, drinks, anything. It's actually walkable from Waikiki (a little more than a mile), but hauling all that stuff back can be a bit of a pain if you buy too much. It's also conveniently next to Ala Moana as well. You can get all of you macadamias and macadamia chocolates, other souvenirs and gifts. Come here and skip Hilo Hattie. The other nice thing about this location is that they have a L&L right in the store, instead of a McDonalds as is typical of most Walmarts. Another food option is that you can get plate lunches at Sam's Club upstairs (you're supposed to be a member, but there are ways to sneak in). They're open 24 hours, so try to go after 9pm to avoid the craziness, esp in the parking lot. But also try to go before midnight because it's a mess in the store since they're working on restocking. read more

I live in town so this Walmart is my Go-To place. Besides the reasonable prices which I love, this location runs out of items quickly. Not too happy about that, but it makes sense I guess, since it is the biggest one in town and probably even the most busiest on the island. Tonight, I called them 6 TIMES!! The phone just rang forever. I had a quick question that would've taken less than 5 minutes, but no one answered the call!! What the heck even!? So annoyed with their customer service at this point. Everyone goes walmart because of cheap deals. This walmart is usually busy during the day so shop after 11pm if you don't like the craziness. The parking lot is not the cleanest and smells like urine at times because of the homeless. However there is ample parking. The self check out line saves you a headache from waiting long lines. read more

The inventory at this Walmart is surprisingly sad. Came here once this week to get locals slippers and they have an entire wall display, almost completely empty. So many customers not wearing masks. Some wearing a mask over their mouth only. Many wearing their mask down around their chin. Told a couple of staff members, but no one did anything. One staff member was assisting a man at the self-checkout - no mask - and she just carried on helping him. Never asked him to put his mask on (it was around his chin). If there were a half star or less, that is exactly what i would give this Walmart on Keeaumoku St. The employees are flat out rude. Mainly the door people when you walk in and out. Also, getting help from anyone in the store is slim to none! Try finding something today- GOOD LUCK. Half the items are missing in the move they are doing and for what? Who cares, leave it the way it is so when we want to go grab something cheap and crappy from the rudest store on the island, at least then we will know where to find it. During my week vacation on Waikiki, I frequented this walmart for odds and ends I needed. My mom and I drink copious amounts of water so we ended up buying 4 cases of Dasani water to keep in our hotel fridge and even freeze a few to take with us on the road. Since Hawaii is tourist central with steep prices for everything, having water on hand was great and a cheaper alternative to buying bottled water individually or buying soda. However, be forewarned that there is a surcharge for purchasing bottles so even in the case is x amount the grand total will not be that amount. I would suggest browsing the large souvenir aisle at this walmart and browsing elsewhere ( particularly the cheap souvenir shops on the main street by Waikiki) before returning to buy souvenirs from Walmart if needed. I bought few magnets and they were definitely cheaper which was a surprise at the other souvenir shops in the touristy Waikiki! Parking can be crowded near the entrance so I avoided it all together and just parked in the back. But hey! How awesome is easy parking right next to a store in a city with very limited parking and outrageous parking rates! Restrooms are clean and customer sevice is certainly lacking but I really don't think they care since they are bust 24/7. read more

If you buy from walmart make sure you keep your receipt because they won't give you credit anymore. If you return and you don't have your receipt then they will just give you another one of the item you bought. We bought a hair curler that doesn't get hot and we lost our receipt. I didn't pick up the coffee maker order. There is a theft working with pickup department at Walmart at 700 Keeaumoku st, Honolulu , HI location and stole this product and recorded as I picked it up. This is not good. I will not order for pickup at Walmart ever again. This is so ashamed. Walmart should investigate this issue. I picked up the vitamins and herbs I ordered on the same day but not Coffee maker since my big bag has no space for that. When I went back the next day and asked for this coffee maker ,the pickup department at Walmart could not find the product and said I have picked it up in their record. Be aware do not order things to pickup at Walmart . Just go to buy things directly. Do not pay in advance and pick it up, people working at pickup department are not honest people. This used to be my hang out spot at 12am-3am on my weird nights after the gym, before the gym, when I didn't make it to the gym. This is probably the slowest of their hours and definitely not nearly as busy as it is during day-time hours. They do restock during these times but the stock people are friendly, helpful and normally mind their own business trying to get their work done. Anyway, I love this place! They have pretty much everything I need but never buy, I just enjoy browsing and seeing the abundance of CHEAP STUFF they have. I Also enjoy people watching (people of Walmart, hehe totally rings true to this locale as well as many others). It's like any other Walmart but different because it's in Hawai'i and has its little tourist-y section, which is cool. Unlike other Walmart's, they have an L&L which is not 24/7 :[ and a bunch of other food places outside. They also have a bunch of specialty snacks that are only found in Hawai'i that the Japanese tourist seem to go wild for. I buy my StraightTalk phone card refills from here and I absolutely recommend it. Its very affordable and you can choose almost any phone you desire. I like lounging on the furnitures they have displayed. Although, the quality of the furniture isn't that great but OK if you are living temporarily and you're willing to spend that kind of money. Actually, come to think of it...the quality of their merchandise isn't of lasting quality but if you're looking to save money then here's the place to go. They also recently sold giant glass jars (similar to the ones they use to pickle things in at the crack seed stores), I was very excited about this and went apesh** buying a bunch. I wouldn't buy a lot of the fabrics they sell or craft materials for obvious reasons. Usually just stick to purchasing my toiletry needs from here. Parking during the day is hectic and there's always traffic on the street outside (not to mention the crazies, if you have been you will know what I mean). I once got into my first car accident outside this parking lot (I actually hit a police officer in training) and got followed by 2 cop cars as well as the other guy I had bumped into. Tried their optic center once a few years ago and the doctor at the time was very knowledgable and very entertaining (: but sadly, they were always busy...so I had to go elsewhere. Never tried their pharmacy but hear they are kind of on the pricier side. Overall, It's an excellent and unique Walmart compared to others I have been to. I like that it is 24/7 and that they don't have a McDonald's. And if you come during the day there is much more food options in one block. I haven't ran into any problems besides the car thing and it is also in a great location. read more

My boyfriend pre-ordered a PS4 through Walmart. Paid it off and was just waiting for release date. Then the day before release they call him to tell him they didn't get the shipment in. They were VERY wishy washy about whether they'd actually call him when they got the shipment in leaving us to believe they probably won't bother calling when the shipment comes in, thus he has been calling every day to inquire if they've got their shipment in. A 5 star rating for a Walmart? This rating is for my shopping experience on Friday, 12/16/2016. I was dreading having to go to Walmart on a Friday night during the holiday shopping season. When I got there the parking lot was very busy, but I found parking soon enough. I don't usually shop at Walmart so I needed assistance finding my items. I spoke to three associates and they knew exactly where everything was located. They each answered my questions and they were all so friendly and helpful. While shopping I realized that I forgot to go to the bank and American Savings located in the store would be closing in a few minutes. I asked a customer service agent where I could stash my cart while I run to do my banking and she said no problem I'll watch it for you. When I got back she was right there with my cart. I completed my shopping list and found a checkout with a short line. As I was leaving the greeter thanked me for shopping at their store and for spending so much. He wished me a very merry Christmas. I left the store in a better mood than when I arrived. This was the best shopping experience I've had ever. read more

Poor customer service at its finest. Went in to pick up a pair of pants for my husband for work. Never had his size. The department manager tried to tell me they dont sell that size anymore. Are you kidding me?? I've seen sizes go up to 50! Im not FOB! She didnt want to go into receiving to check the current stock to even see if they may have had any in the back! She basically laughed at us as if I didn't know any better. Please! I used to be the department manager at a location on the mainland. Just pull out the telxon and find the info there. I was refused entrance because I didn't want to put my bag in a locker. My bag contains my personal items like wallet, credit cards (how would I pay?!), keys to my home, car, mailbox, my checkbook etc, you get the idea. The associate named Stuart, was rude, loud and obnoxious. He told me to put my personal items in my pants. I was wearing gym shorts and a tank top. Really????? Wtf! Considering all the great food that lines the sides of Keeamoku, you would think that nothing bad can be spoken of this street. However, Walmart has become a new member of the Keeamoku lineup, and has completely ruined the trend. Some say Walmart is like a zoo minus the cages and fences, aka CHAOTIC.
