Worst market ever. Prices are super high, everything is in cases so you have to get an attendant to open up the cases. They act super annoyed too. Wal-Mart (virtually all of them, but this one specifically) takes customer service to a new low. I came in earlier today because they (shockingly) carry Inked Keto bread (an outstanding, very low carb bread). I walked in, picked up three loaves (all of which were 3 days past their "best by" date) and self-checked out. When I got home, I noticed my credit card was missing. Before driving back to the store, I called. Selecting "4 for the operator," I waited 8 minutes while it rang until I remembered, Wal-Mart doesn't answer the phone. Ever. Don't believe them when they say your call is important to them. It isn't. And neither are you. P. S. When I came home to put the bread I bought into the freezer, I discovered it was moldy. I waited in the parking lot for 40 minutes with my crying child only to find out my pickup order had been given to someone else. Very frustrating but okay, mistakes happen. They specifically tell me not to request a refund, that my order would be ready the next day and that I'd be given a gift card for the inconvenience. The following day, I receive a $5 off coupon (lucky me!) and a notification that my order had been REFUNDED...this wasn't a fun purchase, it was my family's food for the week. When I call to find out what happened, I'm told that my order could not be duplicated "for some reason" so the manager went ahead and processed the refund--which I should receive in 3-5 days. When I express to him that this was my groceries for the week, he asks me if I can just make the order again...because with how cheap everything is, we all have the funds laying around to just buy our groceries twice, right? When I express that no, that was my grocery budget for the week, he tells me there's a $20 gift card waiting for me at the store. Great! That'll totally replace my $80 grocery order! So incredibly disappointing from Walmart, a billion dollar company, that they would not do their absolute best to get my much needed items into my hands as soon as possible. I would have rather had a gift card for the cost of my groceries so I could have my food when I needed it, but I guess making the lives of their customers harder is more convenient for them. I used to like this store; I am a senior and the store size and selection was great for me. Not now. They offer pickup; nice service but not for everyone. With the pickup came a good portion of close parking is reserved for people to sit in their cars while others (older singles and families with small children are forced to the outer regions. Really? In this hot weather? Safeway on East Glendale has a s all lot and their pickup is on the East side. I would say Safeway has their priorities straight. P.S. I usually go here because it's the closest to where I live. I dropped off my son and stopped here to grab some groceries. I was in there for at least 20 minutes and when I went to go check out, there was not one person at the register. There is only one employee that was tending to the self check outs. I scanned one of the items and it rung up two dollars more so I hit the help button and waited a couple minutes and when she finally got there and noticed that it was marked she said unfortunately she wouldn't be able to adjust it because all of the managers are in a meeting. The fact that no one was at Customer Service to help is mind blowing. This is Walmart $1 billion company and they can't even have an employee that is authorized at the customer service desk to adjust prices which was basically their mistake to begin with. read more

None. I went today and bought beer. I was carded by the cashier. I had accidentally double charge for my ranch dressing and she looked at my items saw one deleted it. I then proceeded to pay for my items. Not one but two managers said I needed to be cared again? I was confused after I paid for my items said look stop I was already carded they both said you can't have that beer till I see your ID know? I'm 59 years old and was called a liar so I left. I came back because they still charging my credit card. The third manager rattled on do you still want your beer? I hand my driver license she said I don't need to see it just go?? This place could be a little bit better but it is okay I guess. One of the things that is not so cool about this place is the location. I do not like the fact that there are so many cars that go in and out of the parking lot it makes it really hard for you to park anything when you get here. And the people that park inside this parking lot drive so fast it really makes you feel uncomfortable if you have young kids about bringing them out of the car. Seriously change the damn hours for the deli. I have asked so many different people behind the counter then the Hispanic gentleman told me it's supposed to be open till at least 8 but is listed online for 9 (I was there at 7:30pm). Today I went at 6:40 the lights for it were on and they said they close it at six everyday. This is ridiculous. I'm going to change to target or another Walmart if it really is six pm. This store has absolutely no customer service. I just moved Into the neighborhood and was having a party so I went here to buy all my groceries and liquor. I had done all of my grocery shopping and went to the liquor section where I waited almost 25 min for someone to come and open the cage. After hearing 3 calls over the PA for someone to go help the customer waiting in the liquor isle, I left all of my groceries and walked out. I will never got back to this store again. Open 24 hrs! Could Phoenix finally be growing into a real city? This place is turning me into a Walmart shopper. It's clean and the produce actually looks good. The location just recently opened, though, so there are still many kinks that the managers need to work out. Prices aren't always updated in the scanner system (but that's typical of all grocery chains) and the self check out kiosks aren't always open. With other new shops opening in the mall strip too (bakery, Mexican food, coffee shop), as well as veteran stores remaining (dollar store, clothing store, pizza, Salvadorean food, dry cleaners, nail salon, beauty supplies), you can get a lot of shopping done in one day. read more

Last week this store announced that as of October 16, 2017, that it would no longer price match. According to management it is a corporate decision, however, it is still a terrible one. Now, in order to save, I will have to do some of my shopping at a different Walmart. When it comes to grocery shopping, there is a lot of competition. I find it hard to believe that this corporate decision is a good one. Well here we go again. My favorite Walmart to dislike. Was out of milk and cereal so I decided to run in and get a few items. Time maybe 4 pm or there abouts. I am standing in line (what else is new) and from behind this obese woman with two NOT ONE TWO unruly dogs has one scare the living crap out of me. It came from behind so i had no idea of what was coming at me and I actually yelled from fright. The dogs were on long leashes and the leashed were wrapped around one another almost like a braid. Literally freaked me out. Then when I made mention of the incident the cashier said we allow service dogs. QUOTE: Service Dogs my ass UNQUOTE. The woman had two out of control dogs on long leashes. THE SERVICE DOG is getting to be total BS. People with dogs should be ticketed and made to pay a find if they bring their mutts into a public place and are not in control of them. DOGS DO NOT BELONG IN ANY TYPE OF food store. There are enough germs going around without the fleas, ticks and what ever else these animals carry. I almost wonder why anyone that manages any kind of food store allows this kind irresponsible behavior. I personally thing the store as well as the owners of the pets should be fined. Unless someone is blind I really do not see a dog being a service dog and even then most blind people have someone to help them shop. The bloated woman that has nothing to do but drag her mutts around need to be told that it is their pet and that people without pets have rights also. This is the worse Walmart store ever. FYI - Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. read more

If you go early and beat the homeless, hookers and addicts, it's not THAT bad. Staff is dismissive and rarely speaks unless spoken to. I did not ever think I would be reviewing a Walmart (there are maybe 2 of the regular ones in the greater Phoenix area I will go to), but stranger things have happened. I live nearby and sometimes I don't want to deal with a full-fledged "grocery trip" when I just need toothpaste, some vegetables and bread, etc. I fully expected to hate going here, but I have had nothing but good experiences. The employees are REALLY nice, go out of their way to ask if I need help finding anything, have nice conversations with you while they check you out...I know, it's like the Twilight Zone compared to the big stores. I just began shopping here because it's smaller than the Supercenters. However each time I go, I find merchandise that I need not attainable. Water (gallon bottles) are NEVER on the shelf I can reach - never! I had to ask someone to help me out. The eggs are usually slid to the back where you cannot reach unless you're six feet tall, surprisingly I could reach them today. Additionally, today - 1pm - half of the paper goods I wanted were gone. Two weeks ago they were so far back that an employee had to get on a ladder to reach that far back. You need to check the shelves frequently to restock, reposition, and/or order more merchandise. And of course, more cashier's would be amazing. Going to Walmart? Be prepared. A Shopping experience at Walmart can be unique each time and never be the same twice. First, you have a greeter who stands at the entrance either with a smile or a hope that you won't say anything to him or her. Secondly, you find customers who express themselves in the most intriguing attire, as well as those who act in unusual ways when encountering challenges in the store. Last but not least, you may run into employees who either do the bare minimum or simply vanish before being bombarded with questions to which they may or may not know the answer. Walmart isn't always as friendly as it appears on a TV commercial. Most of the time when I walk into Walmart the greeter at the entrance just stands there and gawks at me, waiting like a vulture to seek out a potential non-paying customer. Sometimes, however, the greeter will completely catch me off guard and actually say hi instead of just standing there, looking like a mannequin wearing a Walmart vest. When you choose your cart the odds of it being wobbly and a bit awkward to push is extremely high. As you pass the greeter and walk into the depths of Walmart itself, your eyes begin to focus on customers up ahead. Your smell senses are overwhelmed with many different odors as you pass through each department. Over half the things you reach for or touch are sticky like a little child's hands which are never washed. For some unexplained reason Walmart is the main place which draws out people who wear the most eye-opening attire which should have been kept inside the wardrobe under lock and key, never to see daylight. Why is it that some people wear clothes which barely cover what we don't want to see hanging out? Did they accidently misread the label and shrink it or is it to inspire them to lose the extra weight they carry. Shopping at Walmart is like watching a soap opera on TV. You never know the kind of behavior you will encounter through your travels inside Walmart. Sometimes children are let loose like bulls in a rodeo, making unnecessary chaos and disrupting a peaceful shopping experience. At other times, you want to go to a specific aisle but a person will leave his cart in the middle of the aisle. You say 'excuse me,' but he ignores you. So you move his cart out of the way to be able to maneuver your cart past his. In the process of trying to be helpful you are given this death stare of 'how dare you touch my cart!' Not only do we see the outrageous clothing people wear and kids who have no mute button, but just try to find an employee when you need one. It's like switching on a light in a dark room and seeing roaches scatter for cover. Most of the time when you ask an employee where a particular item is, all they do is stand there and point in the general direction of the product's location. This happens to me all the time and most of the time I am led astray. Sometimes, however, when you ask a question to which the employee doesn't know the answer, she just tells you to go and ask someone else. An employee doesn't need to always have the answer to every question a customer might have, just find another employee who might know the answer. Usually just trying to find a worker to answer a question is like a dentist pulling a tooth which is too stubborn to come out. I'm not saying all employees and or customers are terrible, but if you want a different view of life, hang out at Walmart. Even if you just want to express yourself and not be judged, Walmart is a perfect place to go. Who knows, maybe someone in the process will make you famous on YouTube or Facebook. read more

I wasn't allowed to buy alcohol because I didn't have the horizontal I.D. I never get this problem anywhere else. An I.D. Is an I.D it still identifies my age. Honestly would not recommend this place to anyone. I think it's so dumb how they denied my I.D because it was not the horizontal one. read more
