Worst "Customer Service" EVER!!! There really needs to be an option for ZERO stars. Against my better judgment, I decided to give this WalMart a chance when I saw that they carried a certain basketball for $10 less than elsewhere. I called the store to see if they had it in stock at 9:12 am on Christmas Eve and was put on hold, and after 4 minutes, the phone disconnected. I called again at 9:20...same result. I tried again at 9:25 a.m. I was transferred again to sporting goods, and someone actually picked up the phone. David put me on hold (actually just set the phone down) and I could hear him talking in the background (presumably to customers). After being on hold for about 10 minutes, I decided to shower so I gave the phone to my mother to hold. I showered, got dressed, and went to see if mom found out whether they had the ball or not. Guess what?! Still on hold!!! By that time, it was going on 35 minutes of being on hold. I was fuming! And mom had called from her phone and told the operator that we were on hold in sporting goods and heard the operator page that department. So I decided to get in the car and drive down to the store with my phone still on hold!! I arrived thinking I would find them swamped with customers (it was Christmas Eve, after all), but nope! They were not busy at all. There were two people behind the register. One was helping the lone customer in the department, and David was simply putting items on a shelf behind the counter. I saw their phone on the counter and I turned the display towards me and saw my phone number flashing on hold. David greeted me, and I said hello. I then asked him why he wasn't answering the phone on hold to which he looked like deer in the headlights! I said, guess what? That customer on hold is me! I have been on hold a total of 48 minutes! He nervously said that they had been sooooo busy! I pointed out that there were no customers (the lone customer was long gone) and again asked him why he didn't pick up that phone! Then Julie, the other cashier chimed in and said she had picked up the phone but it was disconnected, to which I replied no it was not and showed her my phone STILL ON HOLD and my number flashing on the display!! She, clearly, is a blatant liar. They had nothin to say! Oh...she did say they did not have the ball! Not that I would have purchased it from them at that point even if it were $1! WORST WORST WORST "CUSTOMER SERVICE" EVER!!! Add this to the many reasons I avoid WalMart. read more

I came in for an oil change at your rancho cucamonga store. I sat for 2 hours while 2 vehicles that pulled in after me were seen before. I am appalled at the type of service this location has. This is not the 1st time this has happend but this is the last time you will receive any money from me. I needed new tires but will go elsewhere with better customer service. She immediately acknowledged I had some handicap issues and gave me her stool to sit on while she looked for a scooter for me. She was such a delight! She took her sweet time and was talking with the other managers, I had to go find her after being fed up of waiting. By 8am Stan completed the write up and it is now 11am as I write this in boredom and still not done and I am the 1st car but they worked on another car 1st but even being 2nd should not take over 3hrs. I drove from Walmart on Mango in Fontana to this one while on speaker phone calling this locations electronics. 11 mins and only the customer service operator kept answering but kept transferring the call. No one answered my call. Once I get there I ask an employee in electronics to scan an empty spot for me to check inventory and was told if it's not there they don't have it. Sometimes this is true, but 0 attempt was made to check. I work retail and I know it's extremely easy to scan something and tell them stock or other stores that have it. No attempt made for customer service. Horrible. read more

*** Buyers Beware*** Let me start this off by saying I frequently visit the Upland location their customer service, and work performed has been to this day very good. I visited this location because it was on my home from work on a holiday weekend. I always get Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil. My car is an Acura TSX I have always gone off of the oil indicator percentages and @ 10% of oil life I get an oil change. This location was supposedly "out of Mobil 1 fully synthetic" I could not purchase oil from the store because I was told "we can't do that" the customer rep kept trying to persuade me to get royal purple. After I was convinced I got the oil change. I was starting to notice performance issues at an oil life of 40% (they reset the oil life back to 100 after every oil change) when I went to take it in they stated I had less than a quart of oil and there was a large amount of burnt oil at the base. I've gotten 2 oil changes since I've posted this review and never experienced this issue. I am confident the person changing my oil shorted me the amount I needed, I highly recommend nobody gets an oil change here! Also supervisors and managers were very unhelpful. read more

Typical Walmart, that includes the typical "Walmart-crowd". One thing I like about this location is that it is open 24 hours. So if you need something in a pinch, or in the wee hours of the morning, you can always head out and get it here. One downside is that most of their items have very few stocks. Also, the displays are always a mess, but at the end of the day, you can still rely on them if you need anything. Another thing, the wait times at the register is always long! They have a grip load of cash registers, but ALWAYS only opens a handful of them. read more

After going through hell trying to get some customer service at the Compton location for an item I was trying to order for in store pick up, I resorted to placing the order for pick up at this location (over an hour away) because I had already rented a van. I called the store repeatedly and no one answered. I called Wal-Mart customer service online and no one there could get in touch with anyone in the store either. You've lost my business. The store was open for another three hours. Between my friend and I, we called at least 20 times, and no one would answer the phone. I cannot justify driving over an hour in a rental van to pick up something with no guaruntee that it'll be there. Now I have to just eat the money I paid for this van, and I have no futon. Customer service online didn't even offer to try to get in touch with the store further or do anything for my massive inconvenience. They just acted like it was fine and normal for an entire staff of a store to ignore the phone. Never again. read more

OH MY GOODNESS! This Walmart is HORRIBLE to the moon & back. I never knew that Walmarts on the mainland mean "ghetto." Everyone I know in Hawaii love shopping in Hawaii's Walmart & might actually prefer shopping there instead of Target, but in this case, it's Target over Walmart. I purchased a Walmart brand shoe rack that I no longer need but lost the receipt, so I did my research online and Walmart's Corporate Office states that they can still accept the return and offer you in-store credit. So I was like why not? I can use it to buy some snacks or cleaning supplies. I called FIRST so I wouldn't be wasting my time or gas going over there just to be turned down. I got transferred THREE times for a simple question and finally the lady that answered told me that they would NOT be able to give me an answer until I come in......um, that makes NO sense. But I went in anyway. Stood in the LONG line, and actually saw an argument happen between a customer and employee. So already, I knew that customer service is not their number one priority. Finally the store manager came in, and the employee actually got pissed at the manager. Dang that sucks (no respect for their managers?) It was finally my turn and I preferred to speak to the manager rather than customer service because he seemed nicer than the employees. I told him the situation and the employee said no, but the manager said, "well she's going to go shopping here so just give her store credit." Thanks Matt! (the manager) but overall, I would not give this Walmart a second glance the next time I pass this place. Their salesfloor is gross and they have food spilling and nobody is cleaning it up. And the employees look really mean/nonapproachable. Where to start?? My wife and I gave this store so many chances, they just don't seem to care at all. The people this store hires should be outlawed. Our latest experience that was the last straw. After some debating between my wife and I, we opted to leave Home Depot and head down to this Walmart to see if we could maybe find a grill at a reasonable price. More than half of the boxes the grills were in were badly damaged as well as the product as you were able to see in. After about an hour of talking and other small shopping we made the decision to try our luck and purchase a grill that seemed to have the least amount of damage. We head back to the garden department,( this is where the grills are housed ) get in line. The first thing the cashier says is "I'm closed". Okay, we just need to get a grill. Go ahead and grab it and take it to the front. Can you call some one to help us please. ( 80lbs boxes stacked on top of each other on the top rack 15ft up. 250$ gas grill not the small charcoal round grills) Well I'm closed so you're going to have to wait till I'm done. (Done with what, who knows? She clearly was stating she was closed and not doing anything. Can't even pick up that phone 2ft away and make a call to the front cashier manager to get a stock boy to the back? Don't play stupid, we know the drill) After that short conversation my wife left the basket there as we headed back to the front to speak with a manager. I'm not one to waste time on complaining to managers and all that junk but this one was called for. The manager didn't even seem to care and had a tone and look on her face that said, "I have other things to do please go away" We were ready to spend over 500$ on a grill, grill accessories and a few other things. No thank you!! We ended up going back to Home Depot and getting a grill we saw there. 10mins before closing time and Home Depot had no issue getting a grill down, helping get and put it in the jeep for us. read more

Their in-store pickup is god awful. If you say that an item is ready TODAY for pickup by a certain time, you better deliver. So I ordered something online for pickup and received an email that it was ready by 3:24pm for pickup. On top of that, the email I received for the order said my card would not be charged until my item was ready for pickup. Got a notification that my card was charged, so I thought I should be good to go, right? Being the extra prepared person I am, I figured I'd call the store to confirm that my order is ready - and it all went downhill from there. I spent around 8 minutes on phone until an operator finally got to me, and she transferred me to the appropriate department. Nobody was picking up and I spoke to the same operator like three times before I finally decided to give up and just go to the store. When I got there, I was told my order was - as you can probably guess already - NOT ready. What gives?! Furthermore, the girl I dealt with was RUDE. I know have some sass in my ass, but I'm also not in a costumer service position. I simply asked for a timeframe for when my order will be ready by and she said that she honestly couldn't tell me, even though I said I just needed a estimated date. She then proceeded to sign and say "I assemble all the orders myself and there was a long list before I went to lunch so I don't know where you were on that list, even though it says your item is in stock." Dude. First of all, it's 8pm, lunch was probably 7 hours ago so that was a pretty dumb thing to say to an obviously dissatisfied costumer. Secondly, if you're responsible for assembling the orders shouldn't you know what you have and haven't done? And finally, telling me that my products were in stock but not ready just pissed me off even more, FYI. I spoke to the manager in hopes of getting an answer, but she was honestly just as unhelpful and only slightly less rude. Never putting myself in this position again. read more

Dear Walmart, If you are going to offer money and payment services have the decency to have pens available. If you are not going to have a pen handy for your customers to fill out the forms you require, please teach your customer service associates to at least have the decency to allow the use of one of their pens. I walked in today to do a walmart to walmart transfer. The line, as usual, was long. I can deal with a long line because that is to be expected with Walmart. I grabbed the form I needed and noticed there was no pen at the counter. Well gee, how can I fill out my form and pay you ten dollars to enter in basic information for a money transfer? I asked the associate nearest to me (Pamela) to borrow her pen. SHE REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO BORROW HER PEN. "I need my pen for transactions. Next in Line...." Dismissed as if I didn't matter. I wasn't trying to return stolen goods, I wasn't asking for anything the front counter shouldn't have already had, I was asking for a PEN!!!!!!!! Luckily, a nice lady saw me from her spot in line and offered me her pen, but really? YOU SELL PENS, WALMART! You can spare a pack of pens at your customer service desk. What is worse is that while I was being helped by another associate, the customer service manager Shelly, kindly loaned a guy HER pen and simply asked that he returned the pen when he was finished. I get that it is miserable working the Front End of Walmart- I feel miserable standing in line watching out miserable they are, but that does not mean you get to ignore someone who is trying to GIVE YOU MONEY for the services you offer!
