I like Walmart store I really want to recommended to the people to buy all the stuff I like how they have everything

Don't ...I say, do not.... use the online service if you find an item that says "Available for pick up today". Walmart will process the order whether or not they have the item in the store. They'll charge your credit card and the item will show up a week later and there's no way to track what's happening nor stop the process once it's started. It's taken weeks to get my credit card charge refunded. Horrible customer service. I needed the item that day, not a week later! read more

When trying to opt out of Walmart's SPAM emails I got a message stating, "It may take up to 10 weeks for the mailings to stop". Why??? Are their tech folks that weak??? Most places it is instantiations or at the worst 10 days. I know the real reason is because they don't want to stop sending their spam emails. I'm going to vent in the regards that it really doesn't matter what I say on here because I truly believe that the store manager or area managers will not read the reviews or give the time of day to correct the bad experiences and fix any problems with their staff or facility. I believe that you should really stand by your advertisements in your commercials when it comes to price matching the lady at the cart did not need a proof or advertisement from a competitor she did not need to bring in their sales ad she took her word. During my experience today I was going to purchase a Barbie DVD which is online and in stores for $11.99 I went into Walmart and the same movie was in stores for $13.00 I showed the lady at the register a copy of the advertisement online through my phone and she was unable to price match she said she needed a physical paper ad. I found that this was really inconvenient and it was false advertising! I felt the need to escalate to a manager! I know it was only a dollar I felt it was the principal at hand! If your company is not going to price match the same as it is through their commercial you should not air that commercial, its as simple as that! read more

Horrible place to go shopping! The customer service is absolutely terrible and they are mostly out of stock on things you need! My wife and I have given this walmart multiple chances, but everytime we go, it is a disappointment! There is always a long wait time because they do not have enough cashiers, or because the cashiers are too slow. This Walmart is a two story Walmart which is inconvenient, they don't have a garden center, and they do not even have a tire, lube and express! The prices are pretty expensive for a Walmart, specially considering that the Raleys, not to far from here, is cheaper most of the time. The staff is rude, seem to be bothered if you ask for help, and my wife and I had a cashier just walk away from the line that we were in for no reason, one of the times shopping here! My wife and I now shop at Target and are willing to pay more, before even attempting to shop at this Walmart because of the horrible experiences we've had here! We would not recommend anyone to go to this walmart unless you want a rude and an unpleasant experience! read more

Only go here if you absolutely must and don't have the time to drive to the next nearest Walmart. In fact, if you do go here, you should wear a bullet proof vest and carry some pepper spray. This is the most ghetto Walmart I've ever been to and I'm from the South where all those pics on PeopleofWalmart.com come from. This place is so nasty and disorganized and the customers that shop here are from another planet. I went here because I ordered a gift online and it was free shipping if you used their Walmart ship to the store service. First of all, when I got to the store, there was no indication that the pickup counter was upstairs. I stood in the Customer Service line forever before realizing this was the wrong counter. So I walked around the store twice only to realize there was an upstairs. After going up there I finally found the Walmart.com pickup counter after walking around a few times. There wasn't anyone working the calendar but I could see people moving boxes around through the glass door. I used the bell to call for service and waited ten minutes; nobody came. So it stopped trying to call and I hit it again. Another ten minutes; nobody came. So I tried it one last time; another ten go by and still nobody. So I got out my cell phone and called the actual store. I told the person that answered what was going on and that I, along with a long line of people, were waiting at the pickup counter and nobody was coming to help us. She apologized and offered to send someone up there immediately. All of a sudden the person that had been moving boxes behind the door comes out and helps. Except he wasn't much help at all. He didn't know how to use the freaking register!!! So basically I stood there while he flipped through a manual learning how to use it. After he scanned the package and I signed for it I left immediately vowing to never go to that Walmart ever again. Seriously, do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks to have anything you order from them shipped to your house. It's not worth the time, hassle and possibility of getting robbed in the store! read more

I had the WORST experience here EVER. I came here while on the way home from Six Flags to look for the Onyx Nail Polish Remover (Lavender Scent) that wasn't so easy to find at any Walmart. They had two bottles on the shelf and my friends and I decided to ask a worker to check if they had more in the back. We were told someone with a scanner would come to us shortly...about 30 minutes later, no one came. We went to Customer Service to see if they could find out if there were any bottles in stock and she was useless. A woman was complaining to her before we got there about how she was lied to and whatnot so the lady behind the counter just told us to wait for the manager like the woman has to. 15-20 minutes later, still NO ONE. So we decided, "screw it. lets go upstairs" and we did. There was a girl at electronics and we asked her to look up for us since she had a scanner. Took her some time since she was being interrupted by other customers who also needed some assistance. Finally she told us there were 9 bottles in the back and we headed over to the back to get someone to help us grab those bottles. Let's just say we waited over 40 minutes and tried getting a couple people to help us before that girl from electronics helped us out again. About an hour and a half of waiting overall at this stupid store just to end up with only 4 bottles from the back (that was all they could find). This may be my first time here, but it surely will also be my last. The place is dirty, poorly maintained, understaffed, and they provide TERRIBLE customer service. I'd rather drive another 20 minutes to a different Walmart if that's what it took to get better customer service. Majority of the workers don't care about helping people find what they need. You can see it in their sluggish ways that they just want to get through their shift and make their money without having anything to do with customers. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I usually like Walmart because of decent prices. Some stuff is a great price, some is average. I've shopped at Walmart since the early 90's. I like the chain, but this location is Richmond is horrible. Please fire the manager. Please, please, fire the manager. This is the most poorly managed and worst maintained Walmart I have ever been to, and I've given it many chances over the last 6 years. Most Walmarts are actually quite nice and well organized. At this Walmart at the Hilltop Mall, merchandise is out of place, mislabled, and consistently out of stock. There are two floors and the escalators are always breaking, and the only option to move between floors is the elevator (just one) that has a HUGE line of frustrated people waiting to rush in and out. They absolutely need to hire more check-out employees. The check out lines in this store are horrendous, not because there are tons of people, but because they only have 2-3 checkout lines staffed. It's ridiculous, and it's never improved in all the years I've tried shopping here. What's the problem then? The manager. The store manager is a joke. They have signs with his picture saying "if you are unsatisfied with your shopping experience, contact me and I will fix it, blah blah blah." I took him up on the offer and calling the number does nothing. It just rings. Not answering machine to leave a callback message or anything. I need to find some other way of notifying Corporate Walmart that their manager is completely incompetent and that their store is a disaster. It's absolutely ridiculous and so aggravating. read more

This walmart has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My husband and I have had multiple bad experiences there and numerous occasions. We have had a cashier walk off of the register while being the only one open and just leave while all the customers are trying to find the store manager. We have waited in line at electronics for over 20 mins with 3 people in line. We have had no help trying to find a product even with asking a department manager. Never have the item that you need in stock. We normally like shopping at walmart but we will spend a little more money to shop at target wherr the customer service is better. read more

I was in line at my local Walmart trying to use my Walmart pay. I kept getting a error code telling me to check my emails. I look quick at the register to find out my account has been suspended for to many returns. Walmart has blocked me from all my receipts of past purchases. I can not get my medication refills or get any history of medication from the past also they suspended my Walmart pay so I couldn't finish my transaction. When I contacted them I was told because I returned to many things so my account has been suspended for life even though I was with in there return policy. I don't know how they can get away with that after a purchase the receipes are my property even if they are electronic and is on there site. But blocking me from my life dependent medication that they have been issuing me for the past 4 years is unacceptable and ridiculous. With out any heads up or telling me there is any type of issue with my account. I called and explained it's Christmas time I had a few more returns then usual because things changed in life but that was no help. All the agents agree with me but they couldn't help it's a corporate decision that I keep getting the run around with. Contacted the BBB and local news for help on this. If Walmart doesn't want to talk to me maybe they will have better luck. I will be posting my story everywhere for people not to trust Walmart especially with medication or receipts. read more

Last weekend I was reminded of why I hate Walmart as much as I do. While this location is convenient, it is poorly designed, among other things. I wanted to pay upstairs since I parked upstairs, but the line was long and wasn't moving, so the hubs suggested that we go downstairs. We paid downstairs and when we tried to take the elevator back upstairs (we had the kiddo's stroller), we couldn't get into a freakin elevator because there were too many people trying to get into the elevator from both sides of it. I was livid at this point because 1. I hate Walmart and only went there because I needed wide ribbon 2. I hate how they market junk food (hello ice cream at the register) and 3. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. We ended up leaving from the bottom floor and carried my 11 month old up a steep flight of stairs in his car seat. We also had to carry a heavy ass running stroller up that same flight of stairs. I get that Walmart offers cheap prices and blah blah blah, but come on, America. Go to Target instead! I refuse to go back to this establishment. I will gladly pay a little bit more money for a better shopping experience somewhere else. read more

Walmart says that the Richmond location offers printing until 8pm on Sundays. On the way there I had received and email to inform me that my order was delayed. It then told me to contact the local store for further information. I had called the photo department and nobody answered. I then called the customer service line to then be transferred to the photo department after telling the lady to have someone go up there because nobody was answering. She barely spoke english and proceeded to ignore me as I was forwarded to the photo department. Once again, nobody picked up so she picked up the line again said something to me in her heavy vietnamese accent and then proceeded to then again connect me to the photo department. After more ringing and nobody picking up she just hung up. When we got there and went to the photo department there was nobody there!! We were told that the photo people take the day off early on Sundays!! WTF!! (why does it say that you can print 1-hour same day until 8PM if they take the day off at 3PM!) We had to ask someone in the electronics department for help. They went to go look for my order and it wasn't in the file. My mother and I had to go downstairs to customer service and demand a manager. They paged the manager and it took about ten minutes before someone showed up. We complained to him about what happened and he insisted that he would be able to get my order fulfilled. We followed him back to the photo department and watched as he and another associated looked again for the photos. Then he went over to the photo printer computer and found my order on the screen still in cue to be printed. It then took three people like monkeys trying to figure out how to make the machine work. To add to the crap the associate that works the photo department on some days was in the store shopping on her day off! They didn't even bother to ask her to help at all, they just kept going on like apes trying to get the machine to work. Finally the manager got it to work and my photos were printed. To cap of all the bullshit, the photos weren't properly cropped by the machine and it cut some of the wording off of my window designs for my class. I was extremely disappointed and ashamed of the service this Walmart offers. It needs a serious makeover and stat. The Walmart HQ needs to step in and give this location a good ass whipping. How could such a huge multi-million dollar corporation give such a crap less about customer service and quality. This is why these stores get made fun of for having such obese idiots walking around in them. read more

This review refers to the telephone service at this store and the lack of relevant information on the website. I called to ask whether they had any dog crates in the store. There are hundreds of them on their website (most from other vendors) but there is absolutely no way to find out whether there are any to buy in the store. When I spoke to the first phone answerer, I could not make myself understood. I had to resort to saying, "Bow wow." I tried in Spanish. No dice. I was transferred to customer service. Whoever answered was not customer service, but another person who could not understand the words "dog" or "kennel" or "crate" or "pet." I was transferred again. This time I was instantly put on hold. After 10 more minutes waiting (I could have driven there myself by this point) I gave up. If the clerks in the store are as dense as the ones who answer the telephone, I would avoid this store. I don't even feel this Walmart deserves 1 star. I live 5 minutes from the Hilltop Walmart and when I found out they were putting one at Hilltop I was happy. I would normally drive to American Canyon to go to the Walmart there which was a Super Walmart. Every time I would go to Hilltop Walmart there would ALWAYS be some issue whether it was from a Customer or Employee or the store in general. The store is one of the worst I have ever been in. It's always a mess, if you check out on the upper floor just be prepared. They rarely ever have more than 1 cashier and if you ask them to call for another one GOOD LUCK. What really was the last straw for me was I happen to be standing in line on the upper floor and there were a lot of people standing in line.This man and his wife were in front of me and the man kept coughing so I backed up a little bit from him and then he does the unthinkable! He makes that sound of clearing your sinus through your throat (bringing his snot from his sinuses to his throat) and then spits right on the floor next to the candy racks at the register. I was completely in shock and disgusted. I can't even begin to explain how I felt, but then he does it again and I can't let it go so this time I look at his wife and tell her that her husband has just spit on the floor and told her there is a bathroom 10 feet away. She looks at me and with broken english she said "he's sick" at that point I became mad and I said it doesn't matter if he is sick or not there is a bathroom right there I can't believe you think it's ok for him to do this. I really wanted to make him clean it up but it wasn't my place to do so at that point I decided that was enough for me. I left my cart right in the line and I walked out and I have NEVER been back. Their employees are also RUDE and more than half of them either don't speak any English or they speak very little because you can barely understand them. read more

I get it its walmart but this was worse than going to a smoke shop in north richmond. they should just have self service check out the cashiers dont great or even ask if you found everything you need and the greaters great with such a serious face you almost think they just came out of jail. This is the second time I been to customer service today, and it seem like I always have a problem returning the hp ink packages. I went to customer service and they told me that they have to get approved first with the manager,because it was open. i check online to and it said that only software cannot be return when open. I told her that last time the manager said it was ok and they return it to me. I told her I check online and it said software only. The ink cartridge that i have is hardware. It was open and I brought it 3 days ago and never use. But she said she need a manager approved to return and the camera is watching them. I waited 15 mins and the manager said it was ok. That really pissed me off. Then she told me to go and get an exchange I didn't wanted to wait in the long line and I finally got my cash back I guess she don't know her own Returns Policy,and brought the right ink this time. Then when i try to leave the alarm went off and everyone was looking at me, so the store greeter ask me if I have any thing that is ELECTRONICS!! I had the item that I brought was in my bag,She check my bag and my receipt. And I brought two other item in there, but with a different receipt and I had to show that to her, which I though that we didn't have to show them the receipt. It pissed me off and make me look like a thief when they didn't took the alarm censure off the ink!! Worst service ever! Never buying there ink or any ELECTRONICS there again. I contacted the Richmond Walmart this morning because it was the only location where I could pick up the online BBQ that I ordered this morning. I called to inquire about having it assembled before I picked it up. Right away I told "Peggy" that I had seen bad reviews on YELP about Richmond Walmart, so I was apprehensive about calling them. Peggy told me that it would be FREE to have the BBQ assembled. She took all the information about my online purchase and said she would check to see that everything was OK. She called me back a few hours later and said that the BBQ would be assembled and ready to pick up by 6pm TONIGHT. She also said that if I had any problems when I came to pick it up, I should make sure she was contacted because she would be there until 9pm. I was respectful to Peggy, let her know I was hoping to get good service, and she did an excellent job of seeing that that happened. 5 Stars for Peggy! I showed up early at Walmart - 5:15pm instead of 6pm, to pick up the BBQ and it was ready for me. It wouldn't fit in the back of my car, so employees "Nicholson" and "Charles" went out of their way and took the legs and side trays off the BBQ, so that it would fit all the way in my car with the hatchback closed. It was really a pain in the @#$%, but they did it without a single complaint. They were AWESOME!! 5 Stars for Nicholson! and Charles! There are some really great people at Richmond Walmart. It is too bad that a few bad apples have caused the store to have such a bad reputation. read more

Stood in line for the Black Friday got a tv and it was broken. I figured they can order me a replacement spoke to a manager Devina Prakash she said I had no options and walked away while I was still talking how rude. I keep calling to speak to the mananger Robert wainaina he's never available. Put a complaint on line and still no answer from corporate. The WORST store I've dealt with in a long time. I called one evening to find out if an item was in stock before I drove 30+ minutes to get there. The woman that answered could barely speak English! She couldn't understand me (native English speaker) and I couldn't understand her (clearly NOT a native English speaker). She must have noticed that I was getting frustrated after I repeated myself 6 times, so she hung up on me! I waited a minute to call back in hopes of someone different answering the phone. Nope, same person. I asked her again for what I was looking for and before I could finish she hung up again. I called back and a different woman answered. Hooray! Wrong! I start to ask her the same thing and she INTERRUPTS me and asks if I just called. I said yes. Then SHE HANGS UP ON ME! Walmart, what the hell is going on at this store??? I waited about 10 minutes and called back. This time I disguised my voice and asked to go directly to the department where the item should be (the first woman I spoke to answered but she didn't recognize me this time) so she transferred me. Let me start by saying; don't use the elevator, they suck ! The store is stocked up, I'm pretty sure whatever you need will be in stock but every time I go to Walmart I come back home and shower because it's so dirty you see hand prints on everything, it seems like everything has germs ... Yuck ! If you have kids you might want to take some sanitizing wipes to prevent your child from getting sick .. the registers are always backed up, and the customer service really sucks. Also they have walls to block your way out of electronics and cosmetics ? What's this all about? Not all of us shop lift? I've been there twice and had a positive experience each time. The staff are very nice and helpful. The glasses that I ordered came back quickly -- within a week. They have attractive frames for a lower price than most other optical stores. The lenses were also less expensive than other places that I checked out. I was able to have a prescription redone when the prescription didn't work for my eyes -- at no charge and no hassle. Recommended. read more

This store doesn't even seem like a Walmart. Its like a mini ghetto Walmart. I come here on occasion for odds and ends that are the cheapest here. I only go during the day because there is always shady looking characters hanging out in front of the store. There's always broken glass in the parking lot that I assume is from "smash and grab" thefts from cars. I prefer going to Martinez Walmart, but being that I live 5 minutes from Richmond Walmart, I usually go here. If you go make sure the box or bag is factory sealed. I've bought multiple items from this store that had been opened and some of the product removed. I bought a box of nutrition bars and when I got home I noticed that the box had been opened and half of the bars had been eaten. They even put the wrappers back in the box. I bought a HD antenna to find out the cable was missing. Be sure to check the box or bag and make sure it hasn't been tampered with. read more

I understand that in retail there's a lot of theft. I've worked in retail for the past couple of years and a supervisor in a million dollar business. But today I picked up an item to look at it, JUST TO LOOK AT IT, and an employee said her name was Dolores, short, with short brown hair working in the men's department and told me 'do not open it'... And got super close to me. I had no intention whatsoever to open the package. But it's not ok to see someone just pick up an item and tell them not to open if they're JUST LOOKING AT IT. FIRST why don't you wait to see if I even tried to open it, then say something. But I had the item in one hand. It was rude, this is the reason I usually make the 20 min drive to Martinez instead of the richmond one. The employees and the customers just cross the line. Today I was in a hurry. Believe me, 15-20min drive is definitely worth it to a nice friendly Walmart. read more
