Came to this Walmart to grab some toothbrushes as we are visiting from out of town. I'm glad I came here. Everything I needed was available and then some. It is very clean inside, everything was organized as well. The representatives inside were very pleasant and helpful and kind when I couldn't find a thing or two. I'm not used to super Walmart's where I am from, so shopping around in here was a little different. The school supplies here were at such a good price I grabbed a few things to take back home as it would be far more expensive. I was able to grab a cute outfit. All my items were not in the bags. When I tried to call the store they would not answer. Tried to call the pharmacy to see if they would pick up an instore transfer and they would not. The very nice gentleman in the pharmacy told me they NEVER answer the phone. Tried to call the central number where a guy named Mohammed told me that because he made a ticket they would answer the phone, guess what, they still did not answer the phone. I continually try to do business with Walmart. Today's businesses created this buy online / return practice but don't train their staff well. I purchased BP monitor 5/08 returned it yesterday. I asked to put the refund back on the card instead she gave me a gift card. She said the system wouldn't allow her to return it to the card. This morning I went online to reorder a different monitor. I went to checkout entered the gift card number and it posted $6.51 instead of $36.82. I used their automated chat line who always wants to know the issue to direct you to the right person. It always give you a list of pre-made documentation. I asked again for a live agent. I received an agent. We communicated for 20 mins. I know this process to keep the chat from dropping. Muhammad was his name typed he hadn't heard from me. I said I was here. He typed are you there. I said yes then I received a system generated note that he had dropped. I've learned through many help-desk calls with other companies with staff that lack the knowledge to help drops the call. That's what happened here and many times before. That means you have to go through their automated process again. I did and asked for a phone call. The person I talked to knew immediately what happened with my return. For some ungodly reason the employee sent $33 back on the card and the remainder on a gift card but didn't inform me. She said it wouldn't allow her to put it back on the card. We (my family) are long term customers who have experienced the same old scenario for many years. They must think no one can figure out their games. It is a pattern. Sometimes, you can luck up on a wonderful knowledgeable customer focused employee but it is rare like the person who called me. This was my first transaction with Walmart in almost two years. I stopped doing business with them and Amazon. I thought I wasn't going to survive without them but I did. Decided to give them another chance. BIG MISTAKE. NOTHING CHANGED. I've CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP.again. Once my refund has processed, I'll be closing my online account. It's beyond me why you can't walk in there in the morning when no one's at the deli counter and get a pound of ham.Not so friendly person behind the counter tells you that it's gonna be about 20 minutes, and I said 20 minutes? Worst Walmart ever! Never have enough stocked. Aways out of what you need. Employees are not friendly. The store is always filthy. The employees park in the handicapped spaces and the very front parking spaces instead of letting customers park for their convenience. You can come anytime of day and see the employees sitting in their cars taking their breaks right in the parking spaces that should be for customers to come and go quickly and for the handicapped. Do they not have employee parking in a certain area away from the customer parking? Unbelievable this stuff continues to go on day after day and management is oblivious to all this. NOT! After over a month I finally got in touch with the marketing manager for this store (the person over the main store manager). After explaining my experience to him (his name is Rob) he asked what I would like to see happen. I told him that since I was humiliated in public (by being kicked out)I would like a public apology. He agreed that was fair and we set it up for when he was going to be in town . He later changed his mind because he said she would not be comfortable giving me a public apology. Really??? Did he think I was comfortable being kicked out?? After that I asked him to get me in touch with HIS supervisor which was the company vice president. After not hearing anything for several days I called him back and he asked if I could meet him. I asked what for and he said for my public apology. Apparently he spoke with the store manager again when I asked to speak with his supervisor snd told her she WOULD apologize to me. A forced apology is not what I wanted. When I asked him about it he starts arguing with me and then starts berating me about being old. The perfume being locked up is so inconvenient. They don't have a way to page anyone so you have to walk all the way to the customer service desk and get them to page someone then walk all the way back. While you smell the perfumes someone stands over you like a hawk. Once you pick the perfume, they then take your perfume BACK to the service desk. You have to go back over there when you're ready to purchase. They can't ring you up there. Instead they follow you with it to the register..... horrible experience. I would give this store a zero if I could. We ordered a pickup order yesterday to be picked up this morning. We got to the store and a young man was delivering food to one car. My husband asked him about our order he looked and walked away. We called the number and no one answered about 5 times. My husband went to the door and knocked on it. There were 10 cars waiting and one left after 30 minutes. I called the main store and no one answered after using different option so I decided to try auto. I apologized and said you're the only one answering the phone so please forward me to a manager. Well, of course, he/she didn't answer. I searched for corporate office number. I called them. I did get someone then finally orders start to be delivered. I asked her to file a complaint which I'm sure won't go anywhere. There is seriously something wrong in this store. I would not recommend this location in the least. No selection, even before the pandemic, disrespectful staff makes you dread asking for anything or having any interactions with staff at all. The store is also under construction, turn-over always to be very high because of hiring signs posted a good bit of the time, and I'll add disrespectful staff here again. They either act like they don't have time for you or they actually insult you personally. Walmart corporate doesn't care either because I submitted a complaint there and have had absolutely no follow up nor any other communication from them. They remodeled this Walmart several times over the last 12 years or so. As a result, it has changed greatly as far as where everything is at. I remember when electronics was in the center of the store. Now it is in the back. Books used to be in two different places. The paperbacks were in the center to the left and hard backs were up front. Now they are in one place in the back next to electronics. Their customer service can be offset at times but it has always been that way. I still like to come here and shop. It's convenient across the street from Hamilton Place Mall. One good thing about this Walnart is that it is in a shopping center and also has a new Cheddars in the parking lot. read more

SERIOUS complaints: Concerning the following Locations: 3040 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742 AND 2020 Gunbarrel Rd #250, Chattanooga, TN 37421 I purchased a Stanley 122 pc Black Chrome Socket set at the 3040 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742 location. Later that evening, upon opening it, the product appeared to be used already and missing the 1/4" driver wrench. I went to the store and requested an exchange. This was no problem according to the night shift manager. However, they did not have any more in stock. She offered a gift card on the spot, but I simply wanted the product I paid for and declined. She said that any Walmart will honor the purchase and I could exchange this damaged product for another at any Walmart that night. Since no money is being refunded this should not be a problem. The nearest Walmart that was open was about 20 minutes away (one way), but I needed to get my wife's car running for her morning commute and needed the socket set to do this. So I drove to the 2020 Gunbarrel Rd #250, Chattanooga, TN 37421 location. I explained the problem, and was told (RUDELY) that she will not refund or exchange the product that night. I will have to come back in the morning. I bought and paid for this product and all I wanted to do was exchange it. No refund, no gift card... just exchange it. THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE! It's a Walmart. This location gets 3 Stars and if it wasn't Walmart it would get 4. The customer service line always moves fast at this location. For a Walmart it is clean, large, and has good inventory. The toys are usually good except for collectible ones, they get gone Quick. This is an older Walmart, first one in the area, but is well maintained. They offer the new.com order your groceries and pick them up service. The greeters at this location seem to do their job and appreciate the job doing it correctly by greeting and tagging return merchandise or checking receipts when leaving. The reason for my lack of stars is my experience today seeing a Walmart employee walking a cart full of garbage through the store in the vegetable and deli area. Then, she parked the garbage right in front of the organic vegetables and went to talk with some people in the deli. It was just unsanitary and could have been handled differently. I've never seen anyone walk garbage through the Walmart store before, so this was obviously the employee who specifically didn't care. read more

I only come to this Walmart for work, but it's always clean and well lit. The store is organized and I often see employees tidying up. Any interaction I've had with the employees has always been friendly. This location does offer pick-up, and that is a blessing if you've never used it! I definitely recommend it. Saves loads of time. I do recommend if you need to shop inside, to do it early. The parking lot is always busy, but I think that's to be said of any Walmart. The location is a good one; easy access to a street light to ease the drive onto the busy Gunbarrel Street. read more

This Walmart recently got remodeled. Then again, seems like they have remodeled multiple times over the years. This time they mainly redid their floors and signs. It's looking much better now. As with other Walmarts, they usually put their discounted seasonal items right by their entrance doors. Example: After Halloween, they typically put their Halloween items right as you enter the store, discounted 50% or more. Makes it quite convenient. read more

Friendly staff; however, came in for an oil change and tire rotation and waited nearly 5 hours. Had plenty of entertainment though between watching the service manager and department manager arguing about an oil dipstick or the customer that was getting married in twenty minutes using a hacksaw to cut his ring off of something and throwing tools around. This review is for the Walmart delivery. This is the third delivery these folks messed up in the last 2 months. After our groceries were not delivered as promised we were advised to cancel our order, which we did. Or so we thought. They ended up delivery the next day, during the day. This was a $ 216.43 grocery bill. The temp. That day was High 70s...rainy! So all the cold items were ruined, plus in the rain for 8 hours every cardboard container was ruined. After calling several times to Walmart CS, we kept having to repeat our story and going thru the 37 item grocery List. We were told to "throw away" the damaged items and they would credit for damage. They would send us an email confirming this...never received an email. 6 days later went through the list again with a 5th person who again said they would credit the damaged ruined items. Now waiting days for my money back. The previous person wanted me to bring the rotten groceries back to Walmart a week later...how ridiculous are these people! Finally, We insisted on talking to a supervisor and 30 seconds later a credit was issued. They could have done this the first time but they hope you give up so they can not be responsible for their incompetence. Never again!!! read more

I wish I could rate the tire and lube "express" center lower than one star. First let's start with the word express. I suppose if you call a 2 hour wait for a simple tire rotation normal then express is acceptable. On a Saturday they had 2 people working and by working I mean they were there. As I sat and waited I saw countless people storm away from the retail counter angry after waiting and not being helped. I saw lots of employees pass thru but none of them really did anything other than look for someone else to do the actual work. I have no idea how nobody in management came to check on this disaster during the two hours I was here. Employees that were here were very stressed and chit chatted to each other about no staff and complaining instead of working . Since there was nobody at the register the few people in the shop had to keep stopping to answer calls and help retail floor customers . They really need to do something here to get some staff and management in place. read more

The universe has spoken. I will never set foot in here again. This has to be the worst Walmart in existence. Poorly stocked, always. Harassment in the parking lot by bums, you got it! Today was the final straw. Did self-checkout for about 25 items. Scanned my gallon of organic milk first - it beeped and then I put it on the scale. Continued on. When I go to leave, the greeter scans my receipt because I don't bag my milk. It wasn't on there. Um, what's the point of the scale if it doesn't track anything? So it looks like I was trying to steal something which is always a pleasant experience. So I go back to pay for it at another scanner. I scan the milk, it shows ok the screen 5.99, I pay and take my milk and receipt after it prints. I hear it print and see it come out of the machine, but somehow it's a receipt for like six items at 40 something. I have to then wait for the lady to come and go back in to print out the last transaction. Had I not noticed this, I would've been humiliated again. I'm pretty hot at this point. A very nice young man offers to take me to the manager. Who then tells me to wait in the incredibly long return line to talk to her. That is the LAST thing you should do to an angry customer! This place is so poorly managed. I'll pay more money and shop multiple places just to avoid coming here. Nothing is worth this. read more

Went to this Walmart for the first time the other day. I got a phone case for an iPhone 5c and a charger for it. The charger, along with other chargers like it was in a $4.88 bucket. The phone case was hanging up with other cases just like it behind it and it was marked $9.88. The case ring up $14.96 and the charger rang up $8.88. The reason I got these was because they were cheap. I asked the lady at the self checkout to change the price because they were wrong. She took the products and when she came back she just said no the prices are right and left. I could have walked back there and shown her exactly where it was. Walmart needs to get their prices right in their system. I got it anyway but I will not be going back. The one in kimball or Tiftonia would have changed the price for me. And I wouldn't have cared to show them either. They need help at this Walmart on gunbarrel. read more

I normally dislike going to Walmart Shopping Centers, but yesterday after having issues with my Walmart Money card I went into this Walmart and received the best customer service I've ever had at any Walmart I have ever been to. The issue with my card was preventing me from being able to make purchases, pull money out of the ATM, or get money back, all due to a scratch on my card. On top of that I wasn't able to transfer the money to a new card because I didn't have any cash on my to but the new card. The two women working in the money centered around 4-4:30pm on Thursday March 23rd 2017 were so kind and helpful. One of them went out of their way to help me use a bag to place over my card to attempt to get a read so I would be able to pull money off my card. She managed to make it work and because of her I was able to buy my groceries, put gas in my car, and have money while I wait for my new card to come in the mail. Nobody else I spoke to in that Walmart seemed to care that I needed help, but those two women cared, and I appreciate their kindness. I hope that they receive the reward they deserve for stepping up and showing true customer service. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE last night I went there bc I needed to pay a VERY crucial bill I had the cash but obviously you can't pay bills with cash for epb and I dont have a physical bank so I couldnt get the money onto my bank card. So I walked into WALMART AND ASKED AN ASSOCIATE to find a card that functions as a VISA, the associate brought me a very USELESS Walmart GIFT card and it did not work for me to pay the bills . So not only did I have to drive all the way back to the store when I got there ! The first associate didnt do SHIT but flirt with my damn boyfriend. And the two manager I spoke with both GREATLY disappointed us by one of them telling me she was " going to break and is already late to it so ask someone else" and Julie the other manager With the brown bob that works in customer service told us that we're really "making her late to her rounds" WHEN THIS PROBLEM WASNT MY FAULT to begin with because their damn associate didnt know what the hell they were doing ! So after all the hell they put us through they finally found a solution to this problem. We had to buy several items to refund immediately to get my money off of the gift card I couldn't use that THEY chose for me. And Julie the manager once AGAIN had the nerve to accuse me and my ( FOC ) friend of you know what, of stealing the items we had to "fake" purchase bc she asked us to put them back where we got them as if that's our job bc she was "late to her rounds as it is" and she no longer saw them in our hands. Mind you we fake purchased to pair of TIMBERLANDS so I guess we shoved them up our asses ! Moral of the story y'all will not get anymore of my god damn money. And f this establishment. read more

I visited this Walmart earlier today and was truly appalled by the customer service. I went through the self check-out and realized that everything was running slower than usual for Walmart. Apparently, all of the machines were unable to take cash. In addition, there was a note on the side of the register that stated you were supposed to scan your first item instead of clicking "Start" on the screen. Self check out is for if you're in a hurry, so of course I didn't pay any attention to the note. I didn't complain to the worker about how the machines were malfunctioning because I understood that it wasn't his fault. The worker, however, proceeded to come up to me and rudely state that I should have known to read the sign. He said something about the Bible saying exactly what I need to do but that in today's society, we never take the time to read the Bible. The inability of a machine to take cash has nothing to do with the Bible. I will not be returning to this Walmart. read more
