I love this Walmart! It's quiet, clean and always stocked with everything I need. Today's visit was awesome! I was looking for Hershey's Cocoa Powder and could not find it. After walking up and down the baking isle, I finally approached an employee that was stocking Iced Tea. His name is Omega and he greeted me with the most sincere smile and helped me find it. It was at the end on the very top shelf. I guess since I'm only 5'5", I didn't see it. It's amazing customer service like this, that will keep me coming back to this location. What a horrible customer service experience. Went in to buy a tv. Had to ask 4 or 5 different people to help me lift it in to my cart before someone finally did. No checkers were available. Went through self checkout but it still had the security device on it. 20 min later someone was found that had a key for it. Should have taken me 15 minutes, instead took an hour. Me, my nephew and my brother in law went in to buy some alcohol and nerf guns (one of the perks of adulthood I guess). My brother In law and I were in line to buy our things and my nephew was going to make a separate purchase in line behind us (the little lane separator thing indicated that). Well the cashier for whatever reason flips a turd and accuses us of buying booze for a minor. I explain he is in our group but he tagged along to buy a nerf gun (clearly looks too young to drink). Well by the cashiers magical and all knowing wisdom, she won't sell us any alcohol because of what she assumes. And this is where the fun starts!! Well I try to explain he wants to come so he can buy something for himself and she doesn't believe me. *in my best middle aged woman with a shitty haircut voice* I say "fine let me speak to your manager". *Ashley* comes in all her golden Walmart best glory to very snarkily explain that if she sells us that alcohol she could be held liable if "something happens" (I freakin die a little inside of laughter hearing that) well Ashley i understand that. But the beautiful thing about your fake policy (I looked it up there's no mention about what she said about us arriving in the same car and that's why she can't sell us anything) has no legal implication. There was a separate purchase. End of story. I stated what if a parent comes in with their child the same age? Would you not sell that person anything for the same reason? My shopping experience was fine, but the after care was excellent! I accidentally left my cell phone in the shopping cart in the parking lot and did not realize it for about an hour. My daughter used the "find my phone" function on her different iPhone, she saw my phone was still at Walmart. My daughter and I raced back to the store, and after asking a few people, I checked with the person bringing in the shopping carts. He didn't find my phone, but another employee came over and I told her I had lost my phone. She said she found it and turned it into customer service! Her name was Nat (I think that was name), she escorted us back to customer service where we ran into the manager (Sheila, I think) who had my phone! Living right in front of this "new and improved " Walmart, I was a frequent shopper. Me and my boyfriend went Friday night around 8 pm to buy bikes for our adventurous weekend. We had asked a man if he can assist us with two bikes that we wanted to purchase. He was helping another customer and had told us he will be with us right after he finishes (understanding). We waited a good 20-25 minutes as he still did not come back. We asked another employee to assist us. Her name was April and was very helpful. The man (with a very deep voice) came back and it looked like we where bothering him. He got the bikes down as he told April to finish ringing us up because he had another customer to help. He was really rude and I felt like he did not care about our customer service. We left our two bikes their as we felt very disrespected read more

This is my new favorite Walmart. Though not the closest, I don't mind the extra drive time. If you rely heavily on the clerks for customer service in any Walmart you will be disappointed. All I need from them is to unlock the case. Some Walmarts will leave you standing there for half an hour waiting, but not this one. They usually have everything I need, the store is clean and pleasant, and that's about all I can ask for. read more

My review is about a Customer Service person named, Blanca. She is always helpful, friendly and just plain nice. Every time I see Blanca, she recognizes me and has a smile and is always professional at her job. It was nice to see that Walmart recognized excellent customer service skills when they promoted Linda to a yellow vest. I hope that Blanca is next in line. Update: Order came through in the afternoon. I received email and called the store for verification. Somehow, a pallet of tvs were discovered. I ordered an item for online store pick up Walmart located at 875 E H St, Chula Vista, CA 91910 and I was told by an associate that they made a mistake and put all the stock on the floor. My order could not be fulfilled because item was no longer in stock. When I placed my order, the item was stated as in stock. I spoke to the department manager about the issue and all I got was rudeness and no help. The department manager for this was named Betty. No help at all and I missed out with other deals because I was waiting for picking up this order. I was given excuses that the item is not in stock at warehouse or any other store. That was not the case when I placed the order. Why is the site not in sync with store stock? I have wasted time and patience trying to resolve the issue but the associates nor the manager was of any help. I understand this is a Black Friday item but if it was truly not available then I would not have any problems with item being in stock. Since the item was in stock when I placed the order, I expected smooth transaction since I have good experience with online orders for pick up in the past. This is a terrible experience from both the website, the local associates, and the manager. I have missed out on other deals in other stores because of this issue. I will put more faith in Amazon since at least their logistics is quicker to let others know of true stock. I am disappointed in how this was handled. This was not my mistake but the store associate's mistake. I have not been offered any compensation for the time and effort wasted. All I received was, "we made a mistake, too bad." That is not customer service. I do not care so much as to getting the item at the price but just honoring what I ordered. This was all preventable but due to employee incompetence and lack of customer service by department manager, it just makes shopping at Walmart no longer tolerable. read more

Yep, another Walmart. This place is SUPER clean, this place is SUPER small yet, this place has no food court nor all the things you'd find in the Eastlake Parkway location. This place is really clean and I mean REALLY clean the floors are clean the bathrooms are clean as well. I think this is the cleanest Walmart in the San Diego area but this doesn't have too much stuff like bikes toys etc. This is nice but it needs more. read more

Im sorry but this walmart is awful, stocking of common things is a problem there is always 1 or 2 items i need that are out, when its busy theres not many checkers open theres more closed registers than open. The best Walmart in Southbay. The moment you enter, you'll notice an aura of cleanliness that isn't what you'd expect from a usual Walmart. The staff is relatively nice and attentive. The isles are maintained, you can get almost everything you need here from Autoparts to Groceries. I am not one to complain or give negative reviews BUT if I could give NEGATIVE stars I would for this manager. Worst customer service ever!! 7:30pm on a school night... Lines 10-15 people long. 4 registers open. Cashier's don't know how to handle a cash/credit transaction. No express line open for customers with a couple items. Even the self service area is 20+ people deep because there's no rep there to help with customers having trouble with their transactions. Manager doesn't go out to help the poor woman that can't process the cash/credit transaction. She's too busy having a convo with another employee. After I finally interrupted her not so important looking convo to make her aware of what's going on in her check out areas...her only recourse is to just say "sorry for your inconvenience." This place is big without being so big you get tired walking around. The floors are very clean, shelves nicely stocked and the food is delicious. We've bought a roast, chicken and pork chops as well as a bunch of fruit and veggies there and all was good. Great selection and a friendly team/staff. read more

I went to this store to buy some spray paint. The cans are in a locked cabinet. You have to push a button to get an associate to open the cabinet. I pressed the button, the recording said that an associate was on the way to assist me. ) or something close to that). After 15 minutes ( and having four associates walk by) I called the store from my cell phone. I was on hold for over 5 minutes. Feeling exasperated. I tried the cabinet doors. The lock was not secured and fell on the floor. I took the product I was looking for and left the area. I didn't put the lock back on. I didn't want someone to think I ws tampering with the lock. After checking out, I went to customer service. Several associates were standing around speaking with each other. Finally one asked if I needed some assistance. I asked to speak with a manager. A manager came to customer service to ask what my concern was. I explained my displeasure. After a slight chuckle she said I am sorry. This is not the response I would expect. Nothing about looking into the problem. This is not the customer service the public needs or should receive. read more

Brand new store, and the 4th store in Chula Vista. It has meat, vegetables, garden and pharmacy, pretty much everything. Parking lot has designated parking spaces for clean air vehicles. But don't expect too much, I've already seen people park regular cars on the spots. Inside the store, what can you say, it's brand new store, clean and organized. Be careful though, It's stuffy. I was experiencing difficult breathing in less than 10 minutes, and had to rush out to outdoor garden area which is a small area, but at least I can breathe. read more

I usually end up going to Costco because the location is located right next to Costco. This Walmart is new but everything is almost the same on what they sell here when comparing to the other Walmarts nearby. I went there by myself to check out the new location, it is very clean but the store layout is a bit same old. This location has a larger than expect selection of apparels, (I don't stock clothes from Walmart anymore due to the availability of size and style) I only go to Walmart for my household supplies like tissue paper and mouthwash. Other things I have in mind on choosing which Walmart to go are store cleanliness and staff availability and the location it is situated on. Also, it was not easy to get in and leave the shopping center due to the crowdedness of Costco customers. read more

Went in for a return, was standing in front of the counter with 4-5 employees at the counter as well I was not acknowledged I had asked if they would still be able to take returns and no response. The register in the checkout lane was not stocked with cash and the customer service staff refused to assist while giving a rude attitude. I drive a big truck so parking is a challenge with all he clean air reserved parking and narrow parking spaces so I park in the back where it is less crowded. I usually enter and leave by the back entrance but pay at any registrar. Today I thought since I was going out the back I would use that rear register. I had over 100 dollars in groceries and told the girl I needed bags. She said she was out of bags but I could buy a plastic storage container on a nearby shelf. I wasn't about to pay 5 or 10 bucks for something I would use only once and asked her if she could get someone to bring some bags. You can imagine the inconvenience if I had to load and unload a 100 bucks of groceries in and out of my truck. Her and another guy at the door was unable to get any bags so they said. I might add neither one was busy. I left my groceries there and walked to the front and grabbed some bags from one of the many closed registers and brought them back. It took me less than two minutes. Is this the people that want $15 dollars an hour. This really ticked me off. Incredibly the worst customer service I have had for some time anywhere. This is the worst Walmart in Chula Vista area. I keep giving it a chance cause it's closer to my house, but I just can't anymore. It's always something with their lack of customer service and I mean there's not much you expect from Walmart but they do the bare minimum I this store. Plus side note, this store feels too small to be a Walmart I dunno just me. Today I went with my 3 yr old and the line to pay was horrible, it went all the way to the back of the store. When we got to the register one of the items did not have a barcode, so the cashier calls his supervisor and she tells him that she is not going to send anyone to get another item, that if I really wanted they item I should go get it. So I had to go with my 3 year old, while the other people behind me gave me a dirty look, for the choice the supervisor made in not helping me and trying to make the line go faster, instead went slower. read more
