Worst customer service ever these people specially managers and supervisor hate their job.

We go to this Wal-Mart location all the time... It's a Super Wal-Mart, so it has pretty much everything. They also have a Subway inside (if you like Subway). This location is open 24/7. The prices are lower here at Wal-Mart compared to other stores which is the case at most Wal-Mart locations. They also have online site to store (but I'm more of an Amazon person). My only qualm with this location is that it's always packed... so try to go super early to get what you need! read more

Can't believe I never wrote a review for this place but here it goes. We frequently come here when we are in the area or hanging out at Otay Ranch mall. I love coming to this Super Walmart because it's so huge. There's a grocery section, clothing, garden area, electronics and so much more! I always walk out of with something whether it's make up or clothing for me or my daughter. There's much more room in this super Walmart to move around. Today we picked up a few items. We needed a new laundry basket since the one we have is literally ripping apart. We also picked up some sale items. My daughter also found a toy here. We found some juice that was a dollar. When you have to stick to a budget, this is the place to shop. You can find great deals on grocery. There's plenty of parking around here but come early because it gets so busy in the afternoon. It was still a great shopping experience if you have never been here. I always find what I need and sometimes you can get carried away when shopping here! They also have self checkout which is great. You avoid dealing with the cashiers. read more

I try to avoid Walmart as much as possible because of their poor labor practices, but there are things on the shelves here that just aren't at Target, like fabric, crafting supplies, and my favorite chocolate bar in the whole world for sale for $4 instead of $8. (Whoda thunk Walmart is a purveyor of local, artisanal chocolate?!) The reviews praising this stores cleanliness are all from 2008-2010, when this place was still new. Now, during the rare times I'm basically forced to shop here instead of Target, all I find are empty shelves, dirty floors, and the slowest cashiers in the entire world. They have dozens of check out counters, but it seems like no matter what day or what time it is, there are only THREE open. Not only that, but the cashiers move so incredibly slow! Don't ever ever ever expect to be in and out quickly, even if you are grabbing one thing and it's 1 a.m. and you think there will be no crowd. There will be six other people in line at one of the three check out counters and the cashier will take five minutes with each customer. Also, the "FIRED UP" guy has been missing the past few times I've stopped by. I hope he's still around. read more

This is the most epic fail Walmart I've ever been to. Check out the photos. It's awesomely bad. The store is filled with junk. The selection isn't as good as other Walmarts, even though they've just converted into a Super Walmart. It's very disorganized and there are people standing in the middle of the isles for nothing. Also when you reach a department there's no one around to help you. I guess this is typical, but I don't know why I visit Walmart when I know I'm going to get shitty service and I won't find what I'm looking for. It's like a death wish or something. As Walmarts go, this is an 800 lb. gorilla. It is huge. It is very well stocked and open 24/7. Therefore, it is busy. All the time, but weekends are the busiest. Best times are weekdays, early morning or afternoon. Otherwise, be sure to allot enough time for this gigantic store, and by all means wear walking shoes. Although, for the disabled, battery-powered riding carts are available. The aisles are remarkably clean, and the shelves generally well-stocked and nicely faced, although there will be exceptions now and then. The restrooms are generally kept in acceptably clean condition. As a former retail store manager, I noted that every employee I saw was quite busy stocking, straightening or cleaning. A sign of good management. This store has an exceptional garden store, with a full array of BBQ's and patio furniture for example, or live plants, more than any other Walmart I have visited. The power tool section is also very well stocked, with national brands such as Black and Decker and Toro. Hand tools, same thing, led by Stanley. The food section is phenomenal, outstripping just about any Vons, Albertson's or Ralph's in the sheer variety of foods on the shelves. For example, I needed red pasta sauce, and was delighted to find over 25 different brands or flavors available. Everything from Emeril LaGasse and Newman's Own to Walmart's generic brand, Great Value (quite aptly named). A major amount of floor space is dedicated to women's and children's clothing, not so much for men's clothes, but enough that you can usually find what you need, if you are male. The women's and children's aisles are always busy, busy, busy. This Walmart carries liquor, wine and beer, unlike the National City store. The prices are very good on a day-to-day basis, but sometimes sale prices at other stores are better. The selection of tequilas was muy bueno. And the prices were Walmart level, not liquor store. The prices here also beat BevMo on comparable items. The usual big-box store bugaboo is the long checkout line, and this store is no exception. You want low prices? Sometimes you have to wait to pay. Also available within the store are several individual vendors such as Fred Loya Insurance and an optical shop. The parking lot befits the store. It is so large, I think the space shuttle could have landed there. Yep, I'm a fan. read more

Yelp just informed me that I've been here 38 times and asked me what keeps me coming back. Well, what keeps me coming back are the low prices. I don't come to Walmart for high priced things, when I come here I want a good deal. Whether I'm looking for drugstore makeup or pajamas, the only reason why I come here is to save money. When buying makeup or anything in the beauty section, always double check if the item that you want to buy has been open. Walmart shoppers love opening cosmetics and using them on themselves. There's been way too many times that I check a lipstick and the bullet is worn down like it's been living in someone's purse. And not to mention the countless of broken powder products because people drop them and then put them back in their spot. The makeup is cheaper than at Walgreens and Rite Aid, but you do have to be more careful when purchasing from here. Also, once you have to pay just go through the self checkout section. I have no idea why the regular checkout lanes take forever but they do. And finally, avoid the bathrooms at all cost. read more

I use this Walmart often. At least two times a week that I go here for different things I need at home. They have a great selection of things at this store. The store is usually pretty clean and organized. The return department is a non hassle team. When I have issues or problems with my things, they usually make the exchanges or returns very fast. The only issue I ever see is sometimes there are too many shopping carts left in the parking lot. read more

If they aren't experienced on the register enough, this isn't the time to get them training, do it during slower seasons. 30 minutes for him to get help in a transaction is excessive, if it weren't for the fact I was buying alcohol, I would have done self checkout. Well I need my ears lobes re-pierced and went to Walmart near my home I called on my way home from work to confirm if they pierced ears then told me they did Told me that the person that does that is out to lunch (I called at 6:00 pm) got to Walmart around 7:00 the girl still not there It is now 7:57 pm I the girl still not at the counter and they keep telling "she will be back soon" So they either allow 1.5 hrs lunch or she is somewhere else in the store or not sure where! I am so fed up with grocery pickup at this location. The app sucks and sometimes doesn't allow me to refuse substitutions before I get to the store. It says "Just tell us when you get here and we'll take it off your order." However when I get to the store, the store employees check me out 5-10 minutes before they even come out and talk to me. So I get a text saying my order has been picked up, when it actually hasn't. So when they get out to me and I try to refuse the item, they tell me it's too late and they can't fix it. (One store employee told me they do that so their times look better.) I've been told I have to go INTO THE STORE and STAND in the RETURN line to return the item. One time I arrived, waited 20 mins and no one came out. So I left. Surprise surprise I got a text a few minutes later saying my order was picked up. Which it HAD NOT been, because I left. Today it happened again. The store employee took the items out and said I would have to call 1-800-Walmart to request a refund. So I did, from the parking spot. The customer service agent told me that is NOT how this should be handled, like I have any control over how the store employees handle things. He gave me a refund this one time as a courtesy. Which was good since they had taken the items and left. It is such a major pain in the butt that I think I'm quitting Walmart pickup. read more

I'm not too fond of Walmart but I do like to save a buck. This is a fairly large Walmart. It has an entire grocery section as well as the normal items they carry. There is also the garden nursery area. They do not have a good organic selection but you may find a few tidbits of organic veggies in their stock. I have never experienced good service here as I've often come across grouchy workers with no great knowledge of their products. They offer a lot of good deals however despite the sacrifice in quality. It gets rather busy here and lines can get long so be patient if you're there during rush hour. read more

I don't have high expectations for this location, but last night proved how unprofessional, unhelpful, and disrespectful some of the employees are. I had picked up a couple of pajama sets that were on clearance for $5, but they rang up as full price. Despite the fact that they were clearly marked by an employee with a distinctly yellow Walmart clearance sticker on the tag showing $5.00, Mary Jo (a "CSM") refused to approve the override and wasted 20 to 30 minutes of my time doing a "price check" on the item at the Fitting Room department. When she FINALLY returned, she told the cashier, "Just give it to them." I turned to my sister beside me and told her that it had been the only pajama set of its kind when we were shopping at the rack, so Mary Jo glared at me and said, "Are you calling me a liar?!?!" I replied, "I'm saying you wasted my time. It was clearly marked with the clearance sticker by one of your employees." I pointed to the Department of Weights & Measures sticker near the PIN pad and continued, "Managers should read this sign and follow the policies of business law and the store." Mary Jo argued, "I'm not wasting your time!!!" She then jabbed her finger toward me and spat, "People like YOU... don't DESERVE my help." She then held up her hand, palm directed at my face, and said dismissively, "I don't wanna talk to you anymore," turning and walking away WITHOUT APPROVING THE PRICE OVERRIDE. Interesting that she had the nerve to point out that "people like me [read: Asians like me] don't deserve" her help. It's funny, Mary Jo had given us problems on a previous visit to this Walmart, again refusing to correct a price error, so I've noticed a pattern with her unwillingness to help us, along with her self-important and disrespectful attitude. Nan, a regular associate, had also been rude and unhelpful, and she stood in Rei's way while telling him to move so that she could reach his register, thereby stepping on his foot in the process. She falsely claimed that the pajama set tag did not have the $5 sticker on it and spoke to Rei in a bullying, condescending tone. Thank goodness for Rei (the cashier) and Geraldine (another CSM), who both apologized on behalf of the lack of customer service provided by both Mary Jo and Nan. Geraldine resolved the pricing issue WITHOUT ANY FURTHER DELAY and WITHOUT CREATING ANY PROBLEMS. I was amazed at how simple this task was and should have been, if it weren't for Mary Jo's desire to go on a power trip. I hate this Walmart. read more

This is solely for the pick up. I was scheduled today to pick up my groceries at 11. I got there soon after 11 and waited over an hour. I had to leave because I have a baby who needed to go home to eat and sleep. I got a phone call from them around 1 pm asking if I was still waiting. I told them I would be back to pick it up this evening. I arrive around 4 and it was a madhouse. I waited another hour and once again had to leave bc I have a baby. I couldn't call and speak to anyone and it was obvious they were understaffed. So I didn't want to bother the few people who were working to complain. Ordered online to pickup and my slot time was between 1-2. I arrived at 1:22 it is now 4:37 and I still haven't received my groceries. I first had to wait in a line for a spot and now I'm waiting for my order. It looks like only two kids are working (hard might I add) with over 20 people waiting. The manager of this location should be out here helping out and getting this situation organized. They have more workers standing around directing traffic than delivering groceries. Kudos to the two kids hustling you deserve a raise for what you're having to do on top of customers yelling at you. Complete mess. Wont ever order online for pickup here again. Asked the worker if they can get me I wanted and she immediately replied she does not have the key and did not further assist me in finding someone who does. You have no right to even request that customers have their receipt scanned at the door. Customers have every right to say "no thank you" to the people you have stationed at your doors. You only have a right to do this if you have a membership function like COSTCO, or if a customer appears to be stealing. I kindly said "no thank you" to a Walmart employee who proceeded to mock me. The practice is ridiculous and the obvious disregard for properly training your employees or even instructing them to be kind is seriously disappointing. I will be avoiding this Walmart from now on. What can I say? This is a huge super center of a Walmart! My boyfriend and I came here during the peak hours once and this place was packed. We parked further from the store by the garden section and it was still pretty packed. Walking into the store wasn't any better. There were a lot of people and it was just better not to have a cart with us. I have been to different Walmart locations and will admit that this one is well stocked and organized. We were able to find what we needed quickly and were able to check out just as fast. If I'm ever in the location again, I would love to come back when it's not so busy so that I can walk around the store. read more

Employees were not taking any action on customers who removed their mask. We saw various customers with their masks off and while the employees noticed, they didn't say anything. We walked by one customer, a woman talking on her phone, not wearing a mask, and she was sneezing just as we walked by her. Employees barely bother to answer questions and one short, skinny older(about 40s or 50s) Asian or Filipino man would brush by customers, as he did with my wife from what she told me. He had a very peremotory walk, expecting everyone to get out of his way, and not because it was too crowed but just because it seems that social distancing is not a priority with him. Employees were also reaching across the customers on the shelves and it all seemed like the whole COVID 19 concern was just a farce as it kept being repeated on the intercom to practice social distancing but the irony of it was that employees seemed to be the worst on it. read more

Gotta give Michael a big shout out (for grocery pick up.) I am currently pregnant, and experiencing horrible morning sickness all throughout the day. My husband is currently in the military and out of state. Having no energy, and too sick to grocery shop, I placed a pick up order. I called and spoke to Michael about possibly picking up my items earlier than the original pick up time (4-5pm is all the had, and would put me in rush hour traffic..I live 20 mins out from this location.) He went out of his way to accommodate this, and is getting my order together now for earlier pick up. His friendliness, and understanding for my situation has made this so much easier on me. I make a point to specifically avoid Walmarts, primarily because I don't like the customers they attract. Sure their advertisements for low prices are appealing, but I'd rather pay more and avoid having to deal with or see the trash that walks through their doors. I was in the area for an appointment and running early, so I decided to pop in real quick for one particular item. I was surprised to see 1) no weirdos, 2) how big and warehouse-like the store was, and 3) a few employees who were out and about and able to assist customers. I wasn't surprised to see the shelf for the particular item I was looking for in complete disarray though. Stuff was in the wrong spot and some SKUs were out of stock completely. I fought through it though and made it through the self checkout in a very timely fashion. Walmart surprised me this time. :) read more

You know .. I'm only giving this store one star cause I come here quite often since it's very close and convenient. I have been coming to this Walmart for as long as it's been opened. I have had numerous horrible customer experiences here. None that I saw were worth yelping about until today. I came in and purchase about $200 worth of merchandise. As I was about to leave and give my receipt to the receipt checker , I was on the phone trying to figure out where my friend was, my phone was one 1% and at that point I had handed the girl my receipt and was looking around for my friend and pushed my cart to start moving to see if he was in front the girl put her foot in front of my cart , and said "YOU STUPID BITCH YOU RAN OVER MY FOOT!" In front of a very large amount of people . Normally I would've caused a big scene but I was tired , I just got off work and wanted to find my friend and go home . I waited for my friend out front because I didn't want to confront the girl . The nice security guard outside was kind enough to bring management outside for me to talk to them. I did not catch the managers name that had helped me but he did assure me that he would take care of the matter with the girl, whose name is Yanett , and her supervisor that would be in in the morning . I have worked in customer service my whole entire life, I understand sometimes your job might be harder some days , but how hard is it to check receipts without losing your temper? I could understand if she said, "excuse me ma'am you just ran over my foot" or something along the lines of that. Talk about unprofessional & trashy behavior. This experience will not prevent me from coming back to this Walmart . If I do see Yanett again I will NOT be handing her my receipt to check . If she wants to check it then she'll have to grab management , I will be more then happy to talk to them . read more

GLASS CABINETS: I understand that Walmart now needs to lock up certain products inside glass cabinets. It's sad that theft has gotten so bad that it is now required. HOWEVER, Walmart needs to come up with a better system to help customers who need the assistance of an employee to obtain products that are locked up. I regularly buy protein powder (which is locked up) and each time I am made to wait long periods of time, standing there waiting. There is an "assistance button" which I press and no one responds. I usually have to walk around and find an employee. All together takes anywhere between 10-15 minutes of wait and search time. That is RIDICULOUS. Today, I waited again. I pressed the "assistance button" and no one responded. I pressed it again 5 minutes later. Again, no response. I flagged down an employee and asked for assistance. She held up her finger as if to say "give me a minute". Never saw her again. I chased down another employee and he said he didn't have a key. RIDICULOUS! Finally, a female employee came walking down and started to unlock a cabinet for someone who had also been waiting. To get her attention, I politely said, "Excuse me, Ma'am?". Her response? She didn't even look at me, she threw up her hand and barked, "Give me a minute!". Absolutely rude and unprofessional! That tone and attitude was completely unnecessary. She eventually approached me and unlocked the cabinet. I asked her for her name. She said Yolanda. Well, YOLANDA, I understand that maybe sometimes you get busy but if you can't handle business on your own or you can't provide proper customer service then ask a coworker to assist you. DO NOT speak to customers like that. WALMART, you need a better system with the glass cabinets. Assign nearby departments with keys and/or provide more employees with keys. Also, replace that nonfunctioning assistance button with something that will alert the assigned key department immediately. No one should have to wait 10-15 minutes to obtain a product. read more

Reasons why it's 1 star and not 4. 1. Every cashier I've ever encountered is presumptuous. There is one person in particular that I have had a problem with 2 times as well as my husband on separate occasions. She is rude, mean, and acts as if I'm an inconvenience for her. I've complained about her in past but nothing has changed. 2. I can't ever get help in the sewing department. One time I waited over 30 minutes just to get one piece of fabric cut. Several people walked by and I had to ask them to find someone for me (notice how they didn't ask me if I needed help. I had to tell them) still no one showed. I picked up The phone and called one of the lines to connect me to management and they promised to send someone to me but yet again no one showed up. I called two more lines and again was told that someone would be there to help me but no one showed up. So I finally decided I should just cut my own material and figure it out myself. Someone finally showed up and he complained about being there. He didn't apologize for me waiting he said that he doesn't get paid enough to work in more than one department. So I was extremely disappointed. 3. The carts are terrible! You can't control them at all. So there are a few reasons why I rated this store with one star. read more

I go here for everything practically. Its so convenient because I live so close to Walmart, I buy a lot of stuff for my daughter from her pacifiers to her bottles, clothes, socks, formula, etc. They usually have everything I need and at a cheap price as well. I can always find myself spending a lot of time at Walmart getting so many things I did not plan on getting but I couldn't resist because the price was so good! read more
