I placed an order online to pick up and received notification that it was ready. I went during my lunch break to pick the order up, parked in the pick up spot and called. I was told I had to come in for this order. That kind of defeats the purpose of a quick lunch-time curbside pick up but ok, I walked inside and went to the pick-up area where I was told I need to go to the back of the store where I had originally parked. I explained did that and was told to come inside. She stated they didn't know what they were doing and proceeded to tell me to go to the back of the store. I finally got my order and was late getting back to work because the staff didn't know what they were doing. read more

I'm writing my review on my grocery pickup experience. With it being so cold, I decided to do my grocery shopping online so I didn't have to leave my house or get out of the car. I usually go through Kroger, but Walmart had better prices on a few things and decided to try the grocery pickup and see how I like it. Not all Walmarts do this, so you do need to do your homework to see which stores do. I work pretty close to this one (96th Street) so went on my lunch hour to pick up my groceries. Ordering is super easy, and I like that you can add or subtract from your order. I think I updated mine 5-6 times - I kept forgetting stuff and realized I needed something else. I put in my payment info and scheduled to pick up 2 days later. I like that I got an email and text to let me know my groceries were ready to pick up (even though I was already there and waiting). And they also email you what they substituted or were out of stock. Unfortunately, other than that, I was not too impressed. I pulled into the designated parking spot and called to let them know I was there. I saw 3 other cars around me with people looking around kind of frustrated - it's cause it took 20 minutes for someone to come out! When I called they didn't even ask me what spot I was in, so how do they know where to go? I felt bad for the one employee - either she was new or just overwhelmed. She knocked on my door and asked if I was there for my pickup. (Wasn't that obvious? Why else would I be parked in the designated pickup spot?) Needless to say, after 20 minutes I finally got my groceries. I was given 2 substitutions but for another product out of stock they didn't give me a sub -- they were saltine crackers. Are you telling me Walmart was out of every saltine crackers? Obviously little things like that will happen but it was the wait that really bothered me. It's not as convenient as it can be -- have more people working the pickup area! read more

I ordered a baby monitor for same day pickup at 7:30 am. Plenty of time to fulfill the order, right? The site said it should be ready at 11:28 am. At 4:30 pm, I call to check my order status thinking they just haven't updated the site. I stay on hold for 15 min for them to tell me to call back because they are busy. I call back again at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm, after they come back on after about a 5 min wait each time telling me they are busy. I then call back at 7:30 pm and wait on hold for 25 min only to have somebody pick up and hang the phone up. I immediately call back and ask for the manager who tells me the counts must have been wrong and that I wouldn't get it today. Is it me, or if you offer same day pick up, shouldn't you should be able to fulfill that same day pick up after 12 hours of waiting. Needless to say I will not be shopping here again. ***Update*** I ended up cancelling the order because they said it would be 2 weeks! This was a same day order! read more

While I was shopping at the E 96th St store in Fishers last weekend, there were SIX young employees in a back main aisle closely huddled together and socializing. ...NOT keeping 6 feet distance for sure. I had to go to the other side of the store for something and then had to return to where the six were and they were STILL there huddled together laughing and socializing about 10 minutes later. YEP, they were still there socializing and blocking the main aisle so everyone had to get close to them too in order to pass. Where are the supervisors? Also saw a young female employee with a frozen food door opened and she was trying to "hide " there while she was laughing on her phone. read more

Restrooms were disgusting. Had a cart load of groceries at 8 PM... all of the self checkouts were open and NO lines where someone could actually check out and bag the groceries. I placed an online order for a Nintendo Switch, and this location was the only one that had any in stock. The order went through, charged my card, and the waiting began. I headed directly to the store, thinking it would be ready fairly quickly, and was told it would take four hours. Ok. Three hours later, THEY CANCELED MY ORDER. Not only that, all the customer service putas hung up the phone when I tried to find out why. The chick at the pickup counter was snotty, rude and unhelpful. Worse grocery pick up ever. Being that I travel the entire state for a healthcare system I tend to love this service as I can place my order and pick it up on my way home from wherever I may be. Set pickup for 4pm granted checked in at 358pm. Arrived and had to call which I understand then waited 30 mins for someone to bring my order out. 2 more cars pull up after I have been waiting they come out and deliver there orders then have to wait for all others before they bring mine. Never use this walmart!!!! EVER!!! At this point I could have wasted half the time going inside. The only reason I do this is for the ability to grab groceries and continue on my way to save time and accomplish more work through out my week. Which sadly I lost here!!! I detest shopping at Walmart stores based on previous experiences. Today, out of dire necessity, I went to this Walmart to get one item. The employees I encountered were courteous so I wish I could give a better rating; however, this store gets a one star because not one of the stalls in the women's bathroom had a hook to hang a coat or purse. I can't imagine an adult trying to help a small child use the bathroom and still try to hold onto all personal belongings! Ridiculous!! read more

This is solely based on the experience I had today with a customer service rep in the .com section of the store. I had left my ID at the office when I went to pick up an item that should have take 7 days to ship and took over 2 weeks! I asked about changing the name of the pick up person to the person I was there with. She said that her system wouldn't show it, i asked if we could fax over the new shipping request and was told no. Being a bit of a drive from the store I understood the policy, but turned to ask another question from the associate and she was gone. Upon returning, 10 minutes later, she greeted us with a very rude, "Did you forget something?" I asked if my receptionist could fax a copy of my ID and she said " I already said 'NO' " and again walked away from us. I am now on my way back tot eh store and have debated canceling the order but after waiting this long for my item i just want it over. To be honest for YEARS I had refused to shop Walmart, and after this I am again reminded why the sometimes lower prices aren't worth the attitude that you have to put up with from a staff that should be there to help you. Honestly if she would have handled it better, i was ok going back to the office for something and accept she was following company policy, but it was the attitude she had that I found to be unacceptable. Good job Walmart, you are so big and so successful that loosing a few customers to rude staff really is not going to make a dent to your bottom line, so why bother to train proper associates?! read more

I had a pretty good experience here. I had to return a Christmas present and had no issues with customer service. I also was in and out of the store very quickly, only took about 15 minutes to pick up my few items and get out. The uscan machines worked well, with only one exception. The machine thought I placed an item in the bagging area (which I did not) and then it took a little bit to get the attention of a worker to help me. read more

Welcome to Trashville! Never have I seen a store that is as disgusting. The front of store always had abandoned carts or carts of items jammed full haphazardly waiting to be reshelved sometime next month. Only a handful of registers are open, and often the entire self-check section is closed for no apparent reason. And then there are always at least 6-12 staff - including at least a couple "managers" just standing around the front gabbing. Get to work? Clean an aisle? Wait on someone? Answer a question? The aisles always look like Black Friday evening, even on a Tuesday night in June. This store really is a disgusting embarrassment, even for Wal-Mart. read more

Wal Mart may get a bad rap because of labor issues, etc., but it is my go-to store for anything I need...clothes, shoes, food, hygene items. There are always lots of people, but I rarely wait in long lines to check out and if I do, they move quickly. I went to Walmart in Fishers to go grocery shopping on Saturday which was a big mistake because it was very crowded. I finished with my grocery shopping and I decided to try on some fragrances and of course they had a lock on the doors. I went to the jewelry counter and stood in line and two people were ahead of me so I waited patiently. When it was finally my turn I asked her if I could see the perfumes. Another lady had walked up to the counter while I was waiting so she says she has to wait on her first because it is the jewelry counter which is totally ridiculous and rude especially because the perfumes are right on the next aisle. Anyway so I tell her I will let the manager know that she is picking and choosing who to wait on instead of waiting on the customers in order. So the manager unlocked the perfume doors and let me test spray the products. I decided to get the one I like and she said that she would walk the $8.98 bottle of perfume to the register like I was a criminal. I refused to buy the perfume and I will not be shopping at Walmart. I am rating this Walmart a zero but Yelp will not let me. There is hidden discrimination in this particular store. I have been back and forth on whether I would go back to this location and after yesterday, I will not. Of course the two lines that were open with cashiers were long so I decided to go to self scan. As I was ringing out my order, I noticed this cashier lead person in a yellow jacket started pretending to straighten up stuff on the shelves behind me. As I finished my purchase she literally stood right in front of my line to watch me pay. If you have time to stand there and watch me ring my stuff up then you have time to get on the register and do your job as a cashier. There was a cashier in back of the lines already monitoring the self checks when she appeared from out of no where. This is not the first time this has happened to me so I will not patronize any store that picks who they will monitor based on color of your skin. Long story but I'm entirely shaken up and disappointed with Walmart. I felt threatened by a man there and they did nothing. I was shopping & was buying a lot of clothes that were on sale for $3-$10 and this bald muscular guy (apparently the AP guy) was following me EVERYWHERE. he walked around in circles when I was looking at clothes and caught him at one point hiding behind a display stand peering over the side and staring at me. It got to the point where I went to the dressing room and when I came out, he was standing there acting like he was looking at socks. Mind you this ENTIRE time he had an empty cart. I started to think this guy was stalking me, I proceeded to get groceries and everywhere I turned he was there. He would look at me and run away. Cart still empty. Therefore, I started freaking out and proceeded to check out where I starting crying to the cashier that I was entirely freaked out and needed someone to walk me to my car. She showed concern and said it may be the AP (asset protection) guy. No confirmation that it was. This female manager walked me out and didn't even care to ask what was going on. I wanted to be walked to my car but she was too busy that she only walked me out to the outside of the building. I feel as if someone feels threatened that they should address it entirely and make sure they look out for this guy. I told her if that bald muscular guy is a AP or "secret shopper" he sucks at his job. All he did was scare a shopper & I ended up only buying clothes and a select few groceries items when I wanted to shop for so much more. Either way he did a real good job at being a creeper. Walmart quality is horrible. Manager try to negotiate rate down (for return) as if they are giving us a favor. The quality of electronic and clothing is extremely poor. They don't train employees, which mean they don't invest on employee. Long lines, had to wait over 25 minutes just to checkout. Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to experience the worst employee that this Wal-mart acknowledges as a customer service representative a few mornings ago. As a customer, you may come across questions regarding store policy or regulations, and it's logical to contact the customer service department just as you would for any other business such as Amazon, Fry's, or Target. You may feel compunction as you ask them trivial questions that they may have encountered thousands of times or as you watch them go out of their way just to help you. But the result is the same whether you received your answer or not: you are treated with respect, professionalism, and proper decorum. Dismally, I was mistaken to expect these qualities from a CUSTOMER SERVICE representative, which is a fundamental flaw in itself and defeats the purpose of what customer service truly represents. Now, I am not hating because she could not do what I asked (I would never ever encourage an employee to go against policy and risk job security), I am expressing my absolute disgust regarding her condescending and curt behavior that morning. It was as if she was castigating me for not understanding store policy (HELLO! I don't work here, that's why I am asking). I told her that she may have been a little patronizing toward me, but that only developed into a horrendously boorish attitude as she became defensive toward me. If you think that is bad, the way they handle formal complaints is impractical. The process is entirely verbal and you express your grievances to an apathetic and nonchalant customer service "manager". This Walmart is huge, and filing a compliant is futile. So, if you do happen to get mistreated I suggest that you address all your issues to corporate. i went to this walmart today looking for a smoker grill. one employee was taking me back to see them, then stopped to ask another employee where they were. the employee said "they are buried". i'm like "what does that mean" and he says "they are buried behind all of our black friday stuff and we can't get to them". i then say "you're telling me that you have smoker grills, but i can't purchase one". he says "they are not in season so we bury them to make room and can't get to them right now. they will be available after black friday" i knew this didn't sound right, because i've purchased grills in the winter because that's when they are on sale. i thanked both men and then proceeded to call walmart's corporate office. i was told that this procedure is "not" walmart's procedure and that someone should have gotten me a grill to purchase. i'm waiting on a call back from corporate now. read more
