Not one to leave reviews about Walmart but I'm hoping a manager can see this and work on training your employees. I never shop at Walmart unless it's the only choice but this store is closer to where I was-- next time do yourself a favor and make the extra 3 min trip to target to save yourself a headache. I needed $5 makeup wipes from the cosmetics section but it's locked up-- like why? so ghetto. I asked an associate who was at the cosmetics section stocking up and she said she didn't have a key and pointed at a blonde associate to ask her. I went up to the other employee and she yells at me "im too busy!" So I spoke up and told her I'm in a hurry as I have my 2 year old with me and need to pick up my other son in the next 20 minutes and she rolls her eyes and unlocks the cosmetics case. WHY ON EARTH ARE INEXPENSIVE ITEMS LOCKED UP?! And if you're going to lock them up-- make sure each employee has a key to assist customers that need items. Customers don't have 30 min to wait around for someone to open up a freaking display case. Most people that go to Walmart are in and out. Makes zero sense. I don't feel like I'm in Irvine when I go to this Walmart-- it's ghetto and feels dirty af. There's always sketchy people hanging around. In the realm of Walmarts this one fits somewhere in the middle - not all that nice & neat but not too skanky either. I rarely go to this Walmart even though it's the closest to my home. A couple others that are further away provide a shopping experience which feels more normal to me. This one makes me feel the need to put on a baseball cap and shove a can of Skoal in my back pocket before I go inside. The plus side is that everything is easy to find and the aisles are not too much of a disaster. I always seem to check out quickly as there are plenty of cashiers on duty. And of course prices here are great. On my most recent visit I just needed to pick up a few grocery items that are far cheaper here than at my regular grocery store. I was surprised that they didn't have any baskets, only shopping carts. After I went inside and looked around I asked an employee where the baskets were and was told there were none. Thinking this person either didn't understand me or was an idiot I found someone else and was told the same thing. So back outside I went to get a humungous shopping cart for the 6 items I needed. After negotiating my cart around numerous oblivious aisle-blocking shoppers I grabbed my stuff, got in the fast check-out lane and used my own bag to avoid the ten cent bag fee. Literally the worst customer service. I usually don't need help but I was looking for refrigerated pet food that was supposed to be in stock and wasn't in the dedicated fridge. In the past it's been in the back and it hasn't been brought out yet when my mom is here getting the food. Today when I went it took me the longest time to even find an employee, the first one who looked so completely disinterested and annoyed that I was even asking her something and all she told me was the same thing the app told me was that it was in stock and then it should be in the fridge and left it at that. I was able to find somebody else by the food who first told me the same thing and I insisted that they check and so far it's been almost 20 minutes I'll be standing by the food waiting for them to come back and I have a feeling they just left. Unrelated to the pet food but there is so much stuff out of stock here. Almost half the frozen section was empty and so many of the other shelves empty as well. read more

Was in line at guest services on 6/8/23 Thursday afternoon around 5/530. Two women at the counter. So slow. Even with a line, this young lady Elizabeth decided to walk up and chit chat with a very old lady (didn't catch her name) that was one of two at the guest services counter. They chatted for a long time despite looks from us in line. Why do I bother coming here? Why did they close the spectrum location? I stopped shopping Walmart when spectrum closed. I made a mistake and placed one order and had to return some items... yup. A mistake. Employees here DON'T care. Excitement turned into a WTF moment when I asked a worker where something was since she looked like a legit worker (with the employee uniform on and all) she was looking like she was sorting out the items at the register. I can't believe I'm gonna say it, but this is the nicest Walmart I have ever been to aside from the other Walmart Supercenter down in Riverside. The truth about Walmart is that they really do have some of the lowest prices but I cannot, for the life of me, stand the people of Walmart nor the employees. I don't know what it is about this store that just seems to attract the strangest crowds, but I've even come here at 11:00 PM and have never felt unsafe (which, in my opinion, says a lot about the area). If you have absolutely no problem with searching the aisles for the items you're planning to purchase, then you'll find that Walmart will suit your needs. But if you want to know exactly where everything is so that you can maximize your time and efficiency, don't bother coming in. Their employees never seem to know where anything is and the place is set up so randomly that furniture is right next to the food section and there's an arts and crafts section near the electronics. The biggest upside, and honest to God reason why I tolerate this place so much, is the fact that they have several, self-check out registers here! That's right, SEVERAL. It's no secret that Walmart employees are notorious for spending an utter eternity ringing up your order, so this is a true Godsend. Other than that, there's really nothing bad I can say. Prices are great but the service is the worst in history. No one cares here. They lock up so much stuff here. They have buttons you can press for service if you do want something. But expect to wait 20-30 minutes for service. I pressed the button and waited 10 minutes. No one showed. I went on the other side of the isle and there were workers stocking the shelf. I told them I pressed the button and no one was coming. They just responded saying they don't have a key and went back to stocking shelves. I then went back pressed button again. Waited a few minutes and then went to Pharmacy and asked them to get someone. They did page someone. Waited another 5-7 minutes and finally someone showed up. In the future I will order online or simply go to Target. read more

I've know many have come to expect deep, poignant, provocative reviews from me, but this is Walmart people. Nuff Said. It's a pretty big location and Parking sucks, but that's true for most all Walmarts. For being how old it is it's cleaner on the inside than on the outside. The best part of the place is the produce area, always stocked, good variety and right up front. The departments that suck is baby food, automotive, personal items, hygiene. The baby food selection is small, the automotive section is missing some key items, personal items like deodorant are always a mess, never stocked and hygiene like condoms are also the same. Plenty of beef jerkey and mark down blue rays. They don't get the big rushes after work like most because of the proximity to business' people stop in during lunch breaks. I actually prefer to do double duty at Chase, Garbanzo, jersey Mike's and walk here than try and park near Walmart and walk to my other destination. See my tip for who not to get as your cashier. When I buy an item for $10 and I give you a $20, and you tell me I need more money, myself and the the guy behind me says I handed him a $20 and you refuse to acknowledge your mistake, yes I'll call you manager and yes the footage will show your wrong, the least you could do is apologize. The customer service return desk is terrible. I bought a rug cleaner the day before. When I put it together it did not work. So went to this location to return it. They said we only take it back if it is put back in the original box and packaged like new. There is no way to disassemble it. Neither manager or customer service person could take it back apart and said they also don't take returns from other stores. That is not Walmart policy. I felt nausea as I went through that battlefield of a parking lot and had to crawl, military style, into the doors. I visited this store 3 times to purchase goodies for 2 different events. No one seems to care or approach the customers specifically when help needed!! I wanted to buy some fabric and needed some assistance to measure & then purchase. I went to different associates to get some help & 3 of them sent me to different departments but resisted to help. Liz, Crystal were not helpful at all but "My" (Fabric department) and "Mahan" (Caahier) finally walked me through & helped to purchase the items. I love this pharmacy. They are so efficient, helpful, and friendly. I live 20 minutes from this store, but they are close to my doctor, so I will continue to use their service. However, I will not purchase anything else there. They have all of their sundry items under lock and key, makeup, cosmetics, things of that nature. When you need someone to come and unlock the cabinet to retrieve the items, they put them in a locked box to be taken to the checkout counter. That's fine. They used to have you go in a specific line to pick up and pay for the item and there would be people with their baskets full also retrieving such items. I had to wait 15 minutes behind the full carts just to get one or two items. They did change that, but two days ago I had to wait 18 minutes after I pressed the help button for someone to assist me to unlock the cabinets where the items were locked up. Normally I would have walked out, but I was curious how long I would have to wait. When she did come, there were several of us waiting to be assisted, so I had to wait longer. She said she was in other departments helping other people. I asked her if she was alone and she said she had an assistant somewhere, but didn't know where she was. There were several employees around, some in groups of three just talking, some unpacking. None of them were able to help because they aren't allowed to carry the key, or others couldn't speak English. I will be going to Target for my future purchases. They don't have theirs under lock and key and their store is cleaner, more organized and don't have depleted shelves. read more

BUYER BEWARE! ITUNES CARDS HAVE BEEN TAMPERED WITH! I buy a few iTunes cards every week for a game I play. I purchased 2 $100 iTunes cards. Bought them, paid cash and walked to my car ALONE! By the time I got into my car to add the balance to my phone they were "already redeemed" I call iTunes. Clear as day, the cards had been redeemed seconds after I paid BUT INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S ITUNES ACCOUNT! That's impossible, how could they have the codes? I did NOT NOT NOT GIVE THE CODES TO ANYONE ELSE in my walk from checkout to the parking lot. It's my opinion that scammers are stealing the cards, copying the code from under the sticker and then re-glueing the security sticker back on the card. They bring the cards back to the store and hang them on the rack. I'm not simple. I know how iTunes cards work. Someone has found a way to scam those security numbers off the backside. iTunes said sorry, we can't help you. Walmart said sorry, all sales are final. I just got screwed over on $200. I went to target a block away. Bought 2 cards. Added them to my phone with no issue. read more

WORST Customer Service!!!! I purchased a sofa from Walmart on April 11 and did not receive it despite the fact that they stated it was delivered at 3 p.m. and placed it in the parcel locker, I do not understand how they placed the sofa inside the parcel locker. 10 hours later, I chatted with a customer service representative who told me we couldn't find your item and also we couldn't refund the item, and told me to refund it by talking with my bank account and after I mentioned my dissatisfaction with that and I said this is the worst customer service I saw, I will call Walmart tomorrow. The next day, she blocked my account and I couldn't log in. I was communicating with the seller and USPS, who delivered my stuff, but by blocking me, I couldn't see my tracking number or anything else. I guess they are consistently 2 stars. Went here to pickup needles for an air pump for putting air in soccer balls. After shopping I head over to the section only to find that they've locked up all of the bicycle pumps and ball needles like fort Knox. After 20 min couldn't get anyone out there to open up the locked glass case to get what I thought was a 99 cent part. I have to assume that maybe these were made of gold and that's why they don't want to sell them. They'd be losing too much money at selling these for 99 cents. Went home and ordering from Amazon. The last few times I went grocery shopping at this Walmart, there were only 2 cashiers open. Today (Thursday) it happened again. This is ridiculous. A few weeks ago I went for groceries on a Saturday, and there were only 3 cashiers working. On a Saturday!!!! The lines were so long you would have thought it was the day after thanksgiving. Even self checkout lines were halfway down the store. There were numerous employees walking around in the store. It's not just the lack of cashiers working registers, it's the lack of cleanliness in the store especially in the restrooms. The stalls are filthy, toilets are repulsive with an obvious shortage of toilet paper. Why aren't the restrooms ever cleaned??? It's like disease central! read more

Always dirty and disorganized. They have a total lack of brands yet hold onto some obscene idea that items that cost $1.49 should be locked up, requiring customer support to access. I have had to go here due to simple lack of time and instantly regret it every time. To wait over 20 minutes, defeating the purpose of already being at a lack of time, to only interact with a rude employee that acts that is it out of their own benefit for you to even look at or read details about product you wish to purchase or are considering, is obscene. The checkouts are a total mess. The employees that are checking out customers are slow as molasses and downright ignorant to the point of presenting themselves as that they have never had a single day of actual job training. The self check-out is backed up with customers messing up orders and unable to utilize registeres correctly. God forbid you grabbed yet another item not in their inventory, that won't scan. Seriously 15 minutes to figure out how to purchase a candle that the store failed to log into their system correctly while dealing with yet another careless and clueless employee. I honestly feel anxiety any time I am faced with having to go to this store. What makes it worse, is they rarely ever have what you actually need. The limitation of brands, other than "junk food" tell you all you need to know. They really cater to a certain way of eating here. You can easily waste a ton of time searching down items that their website reports are in stock, but never really exists on hand. I've even placed online orders for pickup, only for them to email me the confirmation the order is ready-- but, it does not. As, employees have misplaced it or admit it was mismarked and unsuccessful due to lack of items on hand. Even for being Irvine/Tustin, "the safest town around" the crowd of people this location presents, is questionable. It definitely never truly feels like a "safe place". There are a lot of homeless, beggers, and questionable shoppers. The receipt checking nonsense at the door issue is on my very last nerve. This isn't Costco! No one owes a receipt at the door. I think a lot of society is fairly down and out really tired of all the Wal-Mart antics. Stick to Target or your other grocery stores-- you can find much better service, cleanliness, and quality of products. read more

Clean, new walmart in the outside area of Irvine... nearing Tustin. Close to Costco. Good amount of parking and this is a supercenter that isn't 24 hours. There is produce on the left when you enter and runs the entire length of the store. The rest of the common Walmart stuff is center to right. Okay, but not the best Walmart there is. PS: No McDonalds. There is a Starbucks in the plaza. Produce/Meat doesn't look bad actually. Staff is friendly. read more
