This is my first time at this location. And I was impressed how massive it is compared to the other locations I have been to. Spacious. Aisles are wide enough for 3 carts to pass, free of clutter and the store is fully stocked. They even have an area for Christmas holiday decors. I checked out the stands with gift ideas. I saw some that I liked and put it on my list. *plenty of parking spaces and some are covered. read more

I went to Walmart (1731 E ave J) this morning and was surprised at how many workers didn't want to do their job. To get my money orders, I had to wait 20 minutes past the opening hour of 8am and there was only one worker. There was only ONE register open to purchase my very brown lettuce from the produce section. Please spot check for rotting food. I asked a female worker to please unlock the t-shirts in the men's section and she SIGHED HEAVILY because I interrupted her on the phone AS SHE WAS PUSHING A CART. One supervisor, who had to remind the cashier to please have her light on, was blatantly ignored. Do better in training these workers, they are not showing a good work ethic and seem to prioritize being on their phones on company time. It would do some good to remind employees that they need to EARN their paycheck...DO BETTER! read more

The communication from employees and management is horrible. The auto center is the worst. They didn't have oil to perform an oil change. SMH! After complaining about that, the only solution is for me to purchase oil and filter and so they can perform the job. After asking why should I do that their only solution was "you can always leave!" So I left. I often go to the west side store and this keeps adding to it. I can't believe how this place stays in business. read more

I was in this store 2/19/2024 in the afternoon. I wanted to buy some items that were locked up. Pressed the button for assistance and nobody arrived to assist me. After 10 minutes pressed the assistance button again, no one showed up to help. Abandoned the shopping trip after more than 20 minutes waiting. What a sorry excuse for a store. And while I am at it the self check is no good either. The people checking the receipts at the exit? There is nothing to like about Walmart. Walmart's Online Account system MAY be compromised and expose your credit card, PayPal, or other financial information to hackers! On the morning of 9/25/2024, I discovered an unauthorized charge of over $500.00 on my PayPal account. Somehow, a hacker was able to breach Walmart's Online Account system and piggybacked into my PayPal account. (Even though my PayPal account has a very secure password, which is changed on a monthly basis) I immediately called my credit card company, and they shut down the credit card. I also immediately notified PayPal and changed my password. My Walmart Online Account was last used the middle of August 2024. Even more upsetting was the rude and arrogant attitude of the Walmart Supervisor I interacted with at the Walmart Supercenter in Lancaster. I was directed by Walmart's Customer Support, to talk to a supervisor at the local store to determine what had happened, and how to fix the situation. Normally, I ignore rude behavior. However, due to the seriousness of the situation, I decided to take a stand against what I consider unacceptable behavior. From my perspective, Walmart was responsible for the data breach. The supervisor (Ariana), decided to BLAME ME for mishandling the situation, and showed ZERO remorse or sympathy. A quick search online, (reddit) shows that other individuals have also had their Walmart Online Account System hacked in a similar manner. I encourage anyone who has suffered a similar data breach, or customer abuse to call Walmart's Customer Support (1-800-925-6278) and lodge a complaint. read more

This Walmart has the worst customer service of any other Walmarts I've been to. I would normally come to this location because it's convenient but the past few times that I've been here the customer service was really bad. The employees that are in the aisles barely even help you and to get service at one of the locked cabinets is like pulling teeth. I'd rather drive across the city to go to a different store than to deal with the lack of customer service at this location. read more

When working with money you need to be professional at all times NO GAMES!!! i gave him $450 worst employee of the year Bob count the money and then said my total was $450.88 i GAVE HIM $20 MORE. he then gave me 12cents i asked him for the remaining $19 of my change. he then decided to challenge me call for help look over the camera's then count the money in the registered Not once but 3 diff times. Even AFTER they already had confirmation that I gave him a $20 bill it was a 1h & 45 minute disaster. Went one Saturday to get both tires changed. Was told an hour and a half. Took 3. Then the mechanic on duty couldn't get a tire off. I had no trouble getting the tire off. Because I work all week, I had to wait another week to get back. When I went back, was told 4 hour wait. For one tire. Decided to come back the next morning. Hours say 7 to 7. Was a lie. Was told it would open at 8. When I waited the extra hour, I was still told a tire tech did not come in and was forced across town to the other Walmart. Sooo the only reason I'm giving a 5 star is because of 1 person in the store that just brought laughter to my life. I just thought she was very polite friendly and jokeful her name is Pamela. From the start of my transaction at the register to the end she had me giggling laughing. Nothing defensive at all, I really enjoyed her company. I avoid Wal-Mart now as best as I can. I used to be a loyal Wal-Mart customer until they turned it into a prison. On two different occassions I was wearing a $900 suit and threw away my receipt. I was carrying small groceries and I was accused of stealing. Again, I was wearing a $900 suit. Who in the world would steal milk and basic groceries wearing a $900 suit? Regardless of how I was presented the security guards almost got violent with me and over nothing. So since then I will do my best to never go to wally world again. 2/2 times that I have tried to get items that were locked up, one in outdoors and one in tools, nobody showed up when I tried to get something behind a locked door. They were out of stock of items that they said they should have online but not only that it looked like they don't even carry them anymore because I didn't see the tag for their pocket screws anywhere. Went today 11/13/2020 for my first grocery pick up order and it was horrible. I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for my order and I only ordered 15 items. All the parking stalls were full and there were at least 20 cars waiting on the side next to the fence to park at a stall. The worst part of it was the employee that was working was by himself, he had no help and was rushing in and out to get everyone their orders. Not once did I see any other employee come out to help him. While I was waiting, I called the store to ask to speak to a manager to see if he could get help and no one even answered the phone. The only thing that made this experience ok was the employee himself, he kept apologizing for the long wait. I hope the store manager see's this review and makes sure his employees have help!!! read more

Every single time I have had a delivery through the Walmart app from this store they have gotten something wrong. One order gave rotten tomatoes another was a bag of soft moldy oranges. If we order salad The lettuce is brown. Our spinach was wilted. If Walmart shops for you they will give you the food that they want to get rid of! delivery drivers have smashed my eggs and bread. My husband is on with customer service right now because our order was set to pick up. We use the app to deliver because we don't have a car. The inconveniences that we have had. Not to mention they almost ruined Thanksgiving this year by giving us a completely different households order. I don't even leave reviews but I downloaded this app to specifically make this one. read more

This manager at the store is a complete joke long as he can pick up on man and be best buddies with the little clique of employees and those are the ones that hardly work. Does not make his click employees work, you come in to shop and you see him either flirting with men or with his cliques but rarely working! You tell him of some issue you never see or feel he takes care of the issue! I know walmart headquarters has to train a better employee! Not to mention if you treat customers unappreciated they're gonna act unappreciated there's no cleanup of the store so to speak. He needs to better train & motivate the employees. I have been all up & down the coast not to mention states from California to Tennessee to Connecticut and in between to give a fair comparison of actual Walmart employee managers. I have to say this one on east ave J in Lancaster, Ca. I myself am highly embarrassed that this is closest store to me, too Walmart headquarters isn't embarrassed. You have to go to other stores to get what you want they are poorly stocked in their selection. For value it depends some stuff better at other stores especially if you have to deal with the type of management there and lack of manager with lack of scheduling to make the store have helpfulness for the customers who end up paying for your paychecks, so at times it doesn't make it worth its so called value. But that also cannot be blamed on the hard working employees that would be the ones not in the manager's clique!
