Every single time I've been forced to come to this store for a last minute item, I've said I'm never coming back. This time I mean it. They have self-check, which I like, because it saves time and means I don't have to deal with cashiers...right? No. Wrong. Because no matter how few or how many things you have, they harass you at the door to go through your receipt, item by item. Today, all I bought was a few 12 packs of soda and some embroidery floss. The lady in the self check lane put a smiley sticker on every 12 pack, so I thought this time we might get out without a hassle. NOPE. It took 2 cashiers and a security person to figure out the receipt text (it was texted to me, but the receipt link wasn't working). Instead of just looking at the 3 smiley face stickers and letting us go, they called multiple people over to try to figure out the link. I was in a hurry, but had to stand there while they determined that we weren't stealing the soda. They always treat you like you're suspect, and nobody ever apologizes when they finally figure out the receipt and realize that you did, in fact, pay. What is the effing point of self check if they waste your time interrogating you at the exits?? Just hire cashiers if you want to go over every single item in the cart. Hate this place. Every now and then, you shop at Walmart during your vacation. Myself included. Found myself here at this Monument, Colorado Walmart to buy some essentials. It's Wal-Mart. Everyone's favorite place to find everything and anything you may want in a grocery / convenience store / clothing store wrapped up in an super duper place called a Walmart. This location has a Subway restaurant as well near one of the entrances. Didn't realize it till I was leaving with my purchases and there was nobody at the counter. Decided to get my Subway elsewhere after Walmart. With that said, my friend and I decided to shop for snacks and sustenance on a Friday evening. We got here around 4pm and spent about an hour here. This Walmart is basically typical any store you would find anywhere in the continental US it is very large and has basically everything like before. You can get groceries, clothes, electronics, hardware, household goods, daily, multivitamins, Etc. Basically anything you would need in a day or week. They also have a pharmacy too, if I'm not mistaken. For the most part, though, we got what we needed and ended up, saving a few dollars because everything was cheaper here than when is pricier back at home. I basically went into the snack food aisle because I was doing a 24 hour ultra marathon and needed all these cookies and junk food to sustain me throughout 24 hours of continuous running or walking. From Oreos to chips to electrolytes and soft drinks, I basically nailed about $50 worth of stuff and everything worked out in the end. This Walmart is large and clean with everything stocked to where it should be and is optimal for everybody and everybody to get whatever they need for their daily lives. The over experience here at this Walmart. In Monument, Colorado was uneventful and good, while being casual at the same time. It is pretty cool to have a Walmart here to serve the community especially when you're about an hour from Metro Denver or even downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado. It's good to have some sort of urban activity here in the middle of Colorado. Can't say I enjoyed being here at Walmart, but it is a way to pick up essential items while in the area and definitely, a nice familiar spot. It was easy to cruise the aisles for whatever we needed since everything was pretty much labeled above with signage. While there were Walmart staff to help customers, we didn't need any help because everything was basically self-explanatory. Just get in and out with your purchases and get on with your day. More or less. Only interesting part about shopping here at Walmart is that there are no windows or doors other than the entrance, so you could be here at 1 AM in the morning and you wouldn't know if it is day or night if you were looking at your watch. I found that everything was price accordingly, and it was nice to be able to shop here and not I have a sticker shock on essential items, especially with food. The Walmart here is clean and well staffed on a dab basis. And so if you are here in the area needing stuff for your travels, consider coming here to this Walmart to grab your essentials. Might just be the best time of your day. Sadly, to say, it was at least for that Friday afternoon in Monument Colorado. This Walmart location is located in Monument, Colorado. Its physical address is 1234 Main Street. It is near the main highway leading to Denver North, or south to Colorado Springs. The service here was nice specially at the checkout counter. I decided to use the in person check out versus the self check out because I needed help and didn't want to use the self check out anyway. To be honest, I was lazy and tired. It helps that we have in person check stands, so that everything is not automated so you keep people employed. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. I enjoy using the credit card because it is fast and convenient. Especially here at Walmart. As far as parking goes, Walmart always enjoys a large spacious parking lot, so you can't go wrong here. Best bet is to get here early or at least try to find a parking space as closest to the entrance so you can get in quicker and not have to walk a bunch to get to it from your car. As far as public transportation goes, I don't know if there is local public transportation once you get into Monument, but there is a bus from Denver to Colorado Springs on daily intervals, that's how you can get from Denver or Colorado Springs to Monument. After that, not sure. Best thing to do is to have a private car or rent one. And, of course, you have Uber or left at your disposal too. Definitely an oasis here in Monument this Walmart is. It's definitely a place where you get everything for cheap. 4.0 stars for the whole experience. 4.0 stars for location and service. 5.0 stars for the location 3.0 stars for the ambience. 22 Nov 21 - visited this Walmart this morning with my husband because even though we live in Briargate we feel that the Walmart on Woodmen is not well stocked. I find everything I need at the one in Monument and think even their deli cuts the Farmers Ham the way I order it at #2 and not paper thin and they do not show me a slice like they should. I will continue to drive to the store in Monument to find the specific bread and other items that the store on Woodmen does not have. I recommend this Walmart because even their bakery has a larger selection of cinnamon rolls, doughnuts etc. read more

He was very respectful and when he saw my son's boy scout shirt he pulled out his wallet to show him his Eagle Scout card and that was pretty amazing of him to do. When i had told ELLIOTT i did not want to do any gaming online because of fear of information being stolen he told us about the x-box pre-paid card and how they worked...i never knew of such a thing and i thank him for taking the time to explain it not to me, but to my 9 year old who was using his allowance to buy the game. I was just the adult driver and my son was the customer and ELLIOTT treated my son as one answering his (many) questions and talking to him about the game selection and i really appreciate ELLIOTT doing that. read more

This location frequently has items out of stock, sometimes for weeks on end. I had a negative experience today with the pharmacy. I was told it would be 20 minutes to fill my prescription, so I returned in 30 minutes, waited in a long line only to be told my prescription wasn't ready. No apology. When I asked when it would be ready, I was told "as soon as we can." I ended up leaving the store and had to return 56 minutes after my initial contact, wait in another long line, and finally pick up my medication. read more

The deli dude didn't take off his plastic gloves when he handled my cash and touched the touch-screen of the computer. The Walmart on Jackson Creek Parkway, Monument, CO, has the worst customer service I have ever encountered at any Walmart.....or any other store/business I have ever used! Their customer service is completely nonexistent! I tried for over 35 minutes to reach a person via phone. No matter what department I called, nobody ever answered their phones in the entire store. I called Customer Service first, no response, I made repeated calls to the Customer Service desk . They never answered!!! I proceeded to call Electronics, Clothing, Bakery, Pharmacy, Grocery Pick Up. No one, in any dept, answered their phones. Is anyone there??? It's like the entire store was closed!! After 35+ minutes of that nonsense, I called the main 800 number for Walmart Customer service and filed a complaint. There is no excuse whatsoever for anyone in that entire store to not answer their phones, especially after 35+ minutes. It's very simple.....answer their phones!!! I desperately needed to talk to a person!! For years, this Walmart in Monument, has never had good service in-store, or on the phone. Always, only two lanes open, bare shelves, cannot find Associates to ask questions Not answering their phones was the last straw for me!!!! I will never shop at this store again...Never!!! I've been taking my car to them for over 2 years, and suddenly, they can not change the because they can't figure out what goes in it. They've been changing it for 2 years already, and the type of oil is stamped in the engine bay of the car. Even the service records can show what they put in it. Took it to an oil change down the street and they had it taken care of 20 mins later. If they can't figure out what oil goes in a vehicle, when it's clearly printed several places on and in the car, including THEIR sticker from the last oil change, and after telling me that that can't put what the manufacturer calls for, then they should not be operating an oil change center. read more

You actually feel safe in this Walmart parking lot. Probably the best Walmart south of Denver. The only other Walmart I don't feel inclined to carry at is the Woodland Park. This location feels clean, safe and decently stocked. The majority of the staff can understand your needs and function quite quickly and professionally. After spending what feels the GDP of a small nation on a bed and all its accessories (like the 19 pillows my wife deems necessary to have on it) I was ecstatic to find out Walmart carried decent mattress covers (no, not the waterproof kind) at half or a third of the price of home decor stores. Not only that, name brand pillows that are under $20.00 but of the same quality of a $100.00 brand. Although I try to shop local, this Walmart has reinvigorated my trust in the name. read more

Yesterday I had an employee clap their hands and tell me I need to "get out of the store right now". Now, mind you, I had well over 15 minutes before the store closed and they were making the final call. The employee asked if I needed any help and I said I just needed to find a curtain rod. And then he said "well, we need to get you out of the store right now". Then he started clapping his hands and said "come on, you need to get you out of the store now". I was shocked and flustered by this action, So I grabbed my curtain rod, and checked out. While I was checking out, multiple people came in to the store and were welcomed by the greeter and no one told them to leave. However; I felt like I was treated like a piece of trash. Let me tell you that I have worked retail in a department store for over 10 years and never have we ever treated a customer like that. I have learned to quickly select and make my purchase to respect the hours of operation, however; he rushed me out of the store before the store was even closed. I guess, that is the difference between shopping at a department store and shopping at Walmart. You are treated kindly in department stores and you are treated like trash at Walmart. The Walmart in Monument was my quick stop before heading home from work- an hour drive. However; I will make sure that I will not be shopping there anymore. The employee's made it loud and clear that they don't care how they treat you. I did actually addressed this to the cashier as well as I was concerned that I will be unable to return my product if it was the wrong size. Our friendly small-town Walmart is no longer friendly and has gone downhill. I remember when this Walmart was built and the concerns the locals had about it. In the beginning, it was a nice place. Now it is run by young associates who are disrespecting to the customer. Both the cashier and the associate who clapped his hands were around 18 yrs old. Also, as I was leaving, another younger associate had his hands clapped around his mouth and was shouting in the produce department... repeatedly. Check the video footage of all of this, it will be very clear an associate was shouting at me and another was shouting in the produce. This happened in the evening of 7/25/20... working retail, we tend check video footage to make sure a customer complaint is infact true, so if you do the leg work, you will see that this is no exaggeration and that these employees behaviors are completely out of line. My sister has been managed Walmart stores for over 15 years and would have been appalled by this behavior. read more

I live down south and go to the walmart on S. Academy however today I had to go to the one in Monument. 180 degrees different!!!!! No greeter coming or going, the check out person was extremely rude.. Srnini, was his name. No associates to help find things, I called and was going to speak with a manager, I NEVER do that, and was on hold for 12 minutes never speaking to on. Now, the Walmart down on S. Academy has greeters all doors, the cashiers are so very polite, there are associates everywhere and they WALK you to the item you are looking for. This is pretty much your stereo typical Wal-Mart. The staff are nonchalant about helping you, but the prices tend to be cheap. We didn't wait in line at the checkout stands and the place was clean. Pretty much your corporate box store that I rarely go to because most of their stuff is cheaply made, but we needed to get a few quick items for a BBQ, so that is why I was there. The store has pretty much everything you need, unfortunately I believe it's laid out in such a way that you literally are forced to have to walk from one corner of the store to the other to be able to get what you need. Maybe a means of trying to put his much other merchandise as possible between you and there to try to coax you into buying things. The worst thing is that there about 10 to 15 lanes available, but they only have one or two Open at any one time with at least seven or eight people in line at all times of the day. It generally does the job of getting you what you need, but there are some glaring items that need to be fixed. read more
