Atrocious. I waited twenty minutes in customer service while watching the clerks be dismissive, rude, and make nasty comments to customers after customers who they sent away unsatisfied. They weren't rude to me, this isn't some vengeance review. They actualy called me sweetie and apologized. However, every person deserves the same amount of respect when they come in there. The store also has limited stock. It is not a supercenter, don't let the name fool you. This is a slim picking Walmart that looks like a warehouse. read more

Just moved into a new place and needed a cord for my new tv. It was 1230 am and I just couldn't wait. I found this location to be open 24 hrs and quickly hopped in my car. It was a 20 min drive from San Jose. When I walked in it was super nice not having to dodge the crowds and find a parking spot. I must have been one of ten people in the store. I like this location especially after 12 am! read more

Today, I was at the Morgan Hill Wallmart assisting my elderly disabled relative do some grocery shopping. Sorry for the one star, but I was very disappointed with the clear ADA issue we came across in the store for the disabled, especially in wheelchairs or electric scooters. The store staff was too busy with re-stocking / cleaning floors and blocking isles with pallets full of re-stocking shipments etc. We had great difficulty maneuvering throughout the store with the wheelchair and at times could not go through isles because of the isles being blocked or so narrow we could not get through. The staff just looked at us and kept working rather than trying to make some more space or assist. I felt the store was extremely not set up properly for the disabled. read more

I went to a job fair in Morgan Hill today (1/25/13), and after it was over, I drove across the street and saw that Walmart is across the street. I wanted to get a soda, so I decided to check out this location. Since I live in Hollister, I'm not in this area often and have not ben to the MH Walmart till today. Since I work in Gilroy, I got to the gilroy store more often since it's across from work. This is a smaller Walmart, with no McDonald's (though there is a stand-alone McD's across the parking lot). I wasn't sure I was going to buy anything, other than getting a drink, and just looked around. Those of you who remember the old Gilroy Walmart near the outlets, this one is very similar (though the old Gilroy store had a McDonald's). I have to agree with the reviewers who complained about not enough lines being open. Though I only got one thing, I could barely see what lines were open. But I got out OK, and this was not a bad trip. If I happen to be in this area, I won't rule out going to this location again. read more

Absolutely trash I don't understand why the hell a chain food store can't answer a simple phone call.

They don't answer the phone! I see people just IGNORING the calls too, even if your helping someone your supposed to answer the phone properly and tell them to hold on please , while your finishing with the current customer. At least at other places I have worked at ,that was the policy! Always answer the phone!!!! Some people don't have the time to just drive on over(especially for nothing which is why we are calling!) when you guys won't pick up the phone! Customer service isn't the way it used to be and this is why I prefer to shop at target! Much more pleasant! Walmart corporate needs to train employees with Targets great customer service ! Not sure why the rating is so low, this is my go to Walmart and I've never had a bad experience here. Great customer service and the store is always clean, stocked and easy to navigate! Way better than Target in my opinion. I'd rather come here any day and always look forward to my visit! read more

it's a Wal-Mart. What else can anyone say. The service is good, they have a lot of employees at all times. They have groceries. They have cloths. And it is open 24 hours!! This store does NOT have all the things of some Wal-Marts mainly due to the size: this is a smaller store size, so they don't have appliances and some sections are a lot smaller than a purpose-built Wal-Mart. This store "reclaimed" a different store that went out of business in this building or moved. It's still pretty big, but if you've been in a "real" Supercenter, then you immediately recognize the difference. It still has a lot of what any other Supercenter would have, but you find a tire center, appliances, a huge garden center, expansive clothing or bedding sections, etc, etc. But unlike some other areas, this store is open 24-HOURS!!!! The larger Wal-Mart in the next closest town closes at midnight! And returns and other services are pretty good. I've never experienced anything to complain about except for the often long lines. read more

EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO- I have to wait in line for at least 15-20 minutes. There is only 1 line you can buy smokes at- it's supposed to be a 20 item or less lane but not a single cashier I've seen enforces it. I have to grab and go and no matter what time it is I always ends up late because everyone who doesn't buy smokes, who has a cart full of crap (and a bunch of time to waste) wants to go through lane 13. I go on my break or lunch, get to line in less than a few minutes then I have to stand and wait while every person in front of me (who have carts full of stuff) takes their sweet time. It's extremely frustrating when I get a 15 min break and I spend 20 minutes waiting in line because I have no other option. PLEASE ENFORCE LANE 13's 20 item or less rule- or I'm just going to stop coming to Walmart all together. I can drive 5 mins away to buy my stuff and make it back to work in half the time it's been taking to get through the line. Every cashier has an awesome personality so I gave them 2 stars. But I am extremely tired of waiting in line with 3 items for 20 or more minutes simply because I have to go through lane 13. I've reminded cashiers to please enforce the rules but it still happens every single time. There are other lines open and I can't go through them so point those people with 50 to 100 items to those other lanes PLEASE! Monday and Tuesday Evenings- AVOID at all costs- I spend 5 minutes shopping then 30-40 minutes waiting in line because There's 4 lanes open and 15 people waiting in each line. Open up more lanes- DO something because like clock work Monday and Tuesday between 530 and 730 pm I can't get out of the store in under a half hour and that's ridiculous. read more

Really long lines! 20 check stands only two cashiers every time I go in! Employees seem very unhappy! I went to check out and had to wait in a incredibly long line! I finished paying and the cashier dropped one of my items and it broke! So she called her front end supervisor and told her what happen and if she could do a refund. The supervisor told the cashier to send me to customer service to get a refund! Customer service had 4people in line! My time is worth more then the $5 item so I left will no longer be shopping at that location read more

I am not really a fan of Walmart but I came here to kill time until court started. The moment I walked in, I got a big punch in the face by the bakery and deli that is at the entrance. It smelled really good and as I looked around the store, It was very clean and not dead looking. Majority of the time I am at a Walmart, I get a really mood killing vibe but at this Walmart, it was different. Pros - Very clean and the floor is as polished as a bald guys head. Very shiney and clean. It was very organized and what I really REALLY like about it was that in the food aisles with the fridges, all the doors had LED lights built in for a clean and bright look. Very nice. Cons - They lack electronics. They have an entire section for it but it is not impressive and stocked as other Walmarts. You don't see too much of the SALE signs that make people run to it. The plaza it lies on is pretty dead. A lot of run down stores but it has quite a few franchised stores like GameStop, Bed, Bath and Body Works etc. read more

Hygiene issues galore ! Got Food Poisoning from the Deli. Didn't realize it the deli guy mishandled the cold cuts putting in and out of the plastic bag. I was sick as a dog for about 3 days debating whether to report it to the County Health Dept. Tried to reach the store Manager put on hold for 30 minutes. Today Assist. Mgr. gave a quick thanks for letting me know I can call you back bla bla bla I gotta go!! Although the symptoms have receded that bacteria may stay in my guts forever. Thanks Morgan Hill Walmart. Hi everyone! I'm going to be very honest about this store. Although it has good prices of many of the items. If you were to compare item for item the price in the gilroy walmart you would discover that the price is a little bit higher in morgan hill. The store is a little congested... and while the greeter people at the door are nice... the checkout people are a big pain in the butt. I've noticed on three occasions they don't smile.. don't say hello. even once a lady threw my stuff in a bag.. And im not a mean person either.. This is the Walmart you go to because you don't want to see "As-Seen-At-Walmart". It is on the smaller side, but somehow better overall selection. They have an average food selection, although the fruits and vegetables doesn't seem to last as long as its counterparts from Safeway. It doesn't have much in the organic meats section. They have a good kitchen appliance section, and the electronics section is fairly large too. And who knew that toilet paper needed that much room! read more

The reason I did not rate this Supercenter any more than 3 stars is that it isn't conveniently located for me. A few years ago, I traveled around the U.S. of A. on a long vacation and stopped by at many Walmarts including Supercenters for supplies. Supercenters were much better! The next time I am going past Morgan Hill and Gilroy, I will make it a point to stop in. I also drove past Manteca once last summer and was disappointed by a Supercenter there. read more

For a Walmart, this one is better than most. The displays are well stocked and order is maintained. This is a smaller Walmart than most, so they have a limited number of sku's compared to the MEGA-MARTS. They have a complete grocery department. They had in-stock common office supplies (like blank DVD's) that other nearby Walmart's did not have in stock. Pallets of seasonal Christmas merchandise was not piled up in the aisles, blocking access like in the Gilroy or Story Road Walmart Stores. read more

As much as I hate to admit this because I really used to like Target, this particular Walmart has service far Superior to the new target location. After shopping at both over the past months I have come to this conclusion...... Target used to have great service when they we're down the road but ever since they moved to the larger store my two main problems are the rude cashiers and also the several times now I have had dairy products go bad or moldy before there expiration date. Gross! This Walmart is a more compact version than most so there non food type items are fewer but it's also an easier shop than the huge Super Walmart in Gilroy. You can get a quick shop done here weather it be a few needed items or you whole grocery list. There is Hardly ever a wait at the registers which is what I love best. read more

It's definitely small and not a huge selection of stuff but it's ok, it's clean. I come here to buy groceries on occasion and since it's open 24 hours and I live in SJ it's not a big deal for me to drive here. The employees have always been super nice to me and my friend and joke around with us. We usually shop really late being night owls, so it's quiet other than the stock people and a few other customers. read more

Parking is horrendous. Always way too crowded....even on weekdays. Takes forever to get checked out. Employees don't seem to care too much about being courteous. Walmart IS cheap. Everything is cheaper at Walmart. But Walmart always feels so slow and so grey and kind of depressing. The cashiers are also always very very very very very very slow. Target is sort of slow but Walmart is really slow. But otherwise, if you are looking for products that are cheaper (ie., products that you would otherwise buy somewhere else for more $$$), go to Walmart. Regarding stopping by Walmart for Black Friday shopping, not worth it in my opinion. Especially regarding electronics, you can usually snag better deals for better products on Amazon any day of the year if you watch the site like a hawk. i just finished coming this walmart that i have been coming to since they opened at one point they had at least 8 registers in this store so what do they do they build a new area with 8 self check stands which was a great idea but now some corporate genius decides to close them all down and make it to one of the associates be changed to have the customer have to use the registers to implement customer relations back with the checkers now im no genius but this has to dumbest asinine idea i have ever seen pit into effect by corporate management in my whole life!!!!! why in the world would they think that by making people wait in a long line compared to getting out way faster would be a great idea after having this the way its been the last 10 years at least!!!!! the only thing i can think is that those corporate idiots don"t ever have to shop for there food ever!!! so im putting it out there if you dont want to wait in long lines for the stupidest idea of all time dont shop at this walmart in morgan hill if i could i would give this idea - 20 stars read more

Order pickup sounded good. Until you get there. Have to walk a mile to back of store not recommended for disabled vets like me. And they use clock based on when you hit counter, not 10 minutes to hike across the building after waiting 5 minutes for someone to tell you where it even is. I am so glad they opened this fun little Wal-mart. It's unlike any other Wal-Mart that I've been too. It's clean...haha! Ok ok just kidding, but it is nice and clean and everything is easy to find. I like that they stuck to the focus of a grocer rather than their usual setup. Target is just down the road so this is what will make me go to Wal-Mart. The prices are cheap and the location is super convenient for me to visit during work breaks or do some lunch time grocery shopping. I love that they have the bakery / deli...again perfect for work parties / lunches. I understand that some people may not like Wal-Mart for political reasons, but in this tough economy they brought in almost 250 jobs to this community and we need jobs right now so for now I am "Team Wal-Mart" haha...I personally have no complaints and will be shopping here. If it is a Walmart you are looking for look no further than this Super Walmart off Cochrane in Morgan hill. Plenty of parking since they put all the other business out of business that used to be in the parking lot with their Super low prices on anything and everything you could possibly need or want. I hate Walmart for there employment practices and how they treat vendors but this review is based on the store and employees. Store is super clean, well organized, lots of selection. My sister bought potatoes and eggs and was cheap, had to wait 5 mins for he caisher but it was late and the lines were alittle long, thats fine its late. Caisher was nice, name was Luisy i think, she deserves a bonus. The patrons were wearing odd things like you see at peopleofwalmart.com but kept to themselves. Alittle of dirty and scary looking patrons but thats okay, we need to eat and save money. read more

This is a pretty good WalMart for it's size. Some of the departments are small, like household, pets and clothing. There are a few times I've been shopping for something in those departments and I haven't found what I needed. However, the grocery section is really great and I shop there for groceries often. I tried ordering something online and used the Site-to-Store option for this location. It wasn't super successful. The customer service line was constantly four or five people deep and then when I finally had the time to wait in line, it was more of a hassle than a help to get my item. It would have been more efficient to pay the six bucks shipping to my house. Overall, it's a nice location, clean and well-stocked in the grocery section. The parking can be really full on the weekends and after work. read more
