I actually usually don't like to shop at Walmart, but this one is tolerable! One of the main reasons I like it is because they have baskets, which I haven't really seen at any other Walmarts in north county. Also, the parking spots in the lot are huge. Leah at the Walmart off the 76 tried to help me call the Vista Way store repeatedly, a Walmart employee had no luck getting through to another store, doesn't leave much hope for us customers. So decided to call an 800 customer service#. During afternoon I was assured by Diane she messaged the store who can't be bothered to answer a phone. No one called. Called the 800 # again got Javid who was not helpful, he kept telling me to place the order myself, my reply was if I could I would not be calling there is some sort of glitch. Called back got Norbert who was sympathetic and put in a request for a call. So far still have yet to get an employee at the Oceanside store on Vista Way. Today a driver stopped her van in the middle of the street, took 9 steps, threw the package 30 feet from the sidewalk, turned around before it even hit the house, took nine steps back to the van and drove off. From that distance it struck the front of our house 6 feet up beside a window. I did not request a special delivery on Labor Day, but this one surely earned Premium Pay. The item we bought was not a newspaper but was treated as such. I decided to do some shopping for some dog food and a desk for my son. I grabbed one of these Pearsons Desks that were on the shelf as $36. When I got to the register, it rang up for $75. So the cashie called over his manager/csm and he went to go check the price. He said he didn't see the price being $36 and tried to make it seem as if I was wrong! Made mistake of going back to Walmart Auto Center for oil change. Had appointment. Means nothing still wait in line. 15 minutes before I could find someone to check me in. Went into this Walmart at about 1 o'clock today for a simple return of two great value food items, great value apparently does not mean great or even good value :( when chance through the front entrance with the two items in a bag and the receipt, the lady looked at the receipt, put a sticker on my bag. I brought it over to customer service for what should've been a simple six dollar return of their crappy cookies and poor tasting generic peanuts, and was told they would not give me refund nor store credit without the receipt because of EBT fraud. First thing, I did not care for that implication as despite my handicap, having walked in and need a cane to support myself, I have never received one penny of government handouts ever so I did not like that implication but secondly, hello, I did have receipt and gave it to the front lady, but it appears she did not put it back in the bag so basically they gave me an F U for $6 and I told her that instead of complaining to a manager, I will just put my complaint online and she told me she was a manager, and I read to her. This store has a ridiculous policy! I (32 year old man) cannot purchase alcohol if I am with a minor (child, cousin, friend etc...)! This is by far the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Walmart, you are NOT law enforcement. I understand the intent of this law, but it is NOT your responsibility to assume I am purchasing alcohol for a minor. If citizens are of age, weshould be allowed to purchase alcohol and not interrogated on who we're with or assume the purchasing is for a minor. Employees will bump into you with the industrial carts and pallets and then give you dirty looks and ignore you when you are asking for assistance, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and overall just by far the worse. I was hoping that going in at 10pm would make for a smooth visit. After walking over clothing on the floor, experiencing items not properly placed on shelves I decided to leave. Since the manned cashier lines were long I went to the self check out and got stuck. I used the machine labeled 'cash only' thinking I could get in and out quickly. Not so! The machine took my money and didn't give my change ao I had to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes for someone to show up. When the person did show up it looked like all the machines around me were failing because she couldn't get to me right away. I felt sorry for the lady who finally arrived because other patrons weren't being patient. She had a hard job to do. I had to visit the restroom after this delay and they were untolerable. Stores that do high volume need to have regular clean up times. It did not appear that this store had a schedule. I hope they'll do better in the future. read more

This walmart was just like the others. I figured it being in a nice part of town it would at least provide the bare minimum but my god Jesus why! I came for a simple item which was aveno oatmeal lotion in the purple container and it was out! In fact, all the aveno lotions were out! Even late at night when the employees were stalking! Normally, I have no issue with this Walmart. So this review is STRICTLY for Walmart GROCERY. INCREDIBLY BAD experience looking to get groceries. I ordered quite a bit of items. In the order process, if something is out of stock, it tells you. I choose only items in stock of course. NONE of which were held for me. Literally, the morning of delivery, I get a nonchalant email that almost every item i ordered was substituted for something else. They decided what i want to substitute for me without ever asking me. Substitutions like: ordered Progresso Chicken Pot Pie Soup, changed to small Campbells chicken noodle microwaveable, ordered Roasted Chicken and Vegetable, changed to New England Clam Chowder?, Ordered Spam oven roasted turkey, changed to regular Spam light, tons more just like this. But of course, I am not ordering groceries that someone else decides that I want without even discussing with me, and some of which were not even close. Absolutely ridiculous. They also just cancelled a bunch of items too. When i got the email, i called customer service who said he will cancel, but he can't reach anyone there, so don't worry he will follow up. But if someone shows up, tell them it was cancelled. And of course, a few hours later, i get the groceries on on there way email. They give me the drivers phone number. No response. text, no response at first. They show up. I explained to the delivery person that the order was cancelled at customer service. She left and then texted me back the strangest conversation asking me if i want to have her bring the groceries back to the store? I texted back, I have no idea what the process is. What do you normally do? She said she doesn't work at walmart, and then asked me if I was the customer. Just very strange across the board. I do understand that this is during a weird time with the Coronovirus scare. But the system itself is broken, and the whole process showed how screwed up they are. Oh, and respond to emails sent? My Mom and I came here with the intention of buying an expensive LEGO set. Outside the 'super' center there was a man playing violin, which I thought was nice, although my Mom didn't think so. Then there was a guy with a full-on hot dog stand in a no-parking spot. To be honest, I wouldn't want to buy hot dogs in a Walmart parking spot no matter how hungry I am. When we walked into the store, we immediately noticed some poorly stacked tomatoes falling on the ground right next to us, with a vacant resupply cart next to it. When we made our way to the LEGO aisle, we noticed that the set was imprisoned behind one of those glass cases. So we found a nearby station to summon an associate and pressed the button. Now while I understand the plight of the average retail worker, especially Walmart retail, it was still troubling that we received no response from an employee for half an hour. My Mom decided that I could wait there while she went to shop for other goods. I waited another 15 minutes, pressing the button another few times for good measure. When she came back, we decided to find an employee ourselves. The one we did find said he didn't carry a key but he would find somebody who did. Nice guy. We headed back to the aisle and soon enough another employee came along to tell us some interesting news. Apparently nobody in the store knew where the keys were, and that other people had also been asking for help with unlocking the glass containers. After telling us this information, she hurried off to probably tell someone else the same thing. So no LEGO set. We decided to grab a few more things then we checked out. The fact that these gigantic (so big they couldn't possibly be stolen) LEGO sets are locked via a door that these underpaid employees have to open for the customers is confusing to say the least. At the very least we found everything else we wanted. Let's hope you guys can get your keys back! read more

Hey Walmart fans! We all know Walmart is known for being "trash" but let's be real we will def shop there when we need to! Tonight's visit was little crowded outside of that,I would love it if Walmart didn't have huge things of products blocking the aisles especially when there are tons of people there trying to shop. Would ALSO love it if you could have more cashiers On hand instead of tons of self check out. There are some of us who love self check out for the quickness HOWEVER lines wouldn't be so long if you just had a few more lanes of cashiers there. If I wanted to scan and bag groceries,then I would apply for a job there. Again it's awesome if i had a few things..but the lines are long and self check out is filled with people with baskets full of stuff . There is this rude ass worker at the front of the store that checks receipts and needs to be fired. I understand Walmart mainly hires uneducated older people or young workers but at least hire people who have manners and good customer service. I was checking my receipt before I left, because I thought I accidentally scanned an item twice. There wasn't even a line and she says "Oh my god" in an annoyed tone/voice. Like wtf? How is me checking my receipt, with 0 line affecting you in any way. I even stood to the side. She is an old white lady and was wearing green grinch makeup, green eyeshadow.
