The customer service line is always long with 1 - maybe 2 cashiers working, while store managers walk around not assisting guests. There is an ironic sign in that area which says how they care, it's obvious based on actions over many many visits they don't care about guests, they just care about talking to one another. I hate going to Walmart, but I've found that when I travel with my daughter for tournaments and we need to stock up on food and 'stuff' it really is convenient. This particular Walmart is actually one of the cleanest and well organized I've been in...maybe ever. I have to really call out superior customer service by Jasmina in the cellular store. I needed to replace a phone. She had three customers in front of me all needing time to get served. She aplogized for the wait and acknowledged all of us. Shelves are never stocked and the employees are constantly chatting about partying or who they dated the night before. It is a total waste of time to even bask where anything is and forget calling to inquire about an item you may be looking for. The only gentleman I that seemed to give a dang was a gentleman named Robert Palacio. He was actually stacking dog food about 10:00 pm. When you go to shop at Walmart and can't get in the door because 2 heavy set, male and female, employees were standing right at the entrance door in the middle so you couldn't walk in without asking them to move. They didn't even move, just stood there talking to each other. Very rude until we asked them to move. Going down the isles you had employees standing and talking together. The ones that were working you had to get out of their way as they pushed big carts down the middle of the isle and one would have hit us if we hadn't moved. Everybody is in a bad mood. Had an online order for pick up that was placed yesterday (usually not an issue). Received a confirmation that it would be ready today at 1pm, but then it was pushed back. Called the store and they said another Walmart had issues so they had to pick up the slack. Had to wait, received another confirmation that it was ready (got there at 6:30-7pm) waited for for 30min, no one answering the phone. Went in to speak to the manager, no one came out. Employees just pass the buck, no answers. More than 10 people in the lot waiting, this is ridiculous. Finally a short gentleman comes out (whom I assume is the manager) and blames the guy in charge of the pickups and to call 1800 Walmart for any complaints. I've wasted a whole day, canceled previous engagements. If the Walmart team was having a bad day, I get it. But it is irresponsible to not have someone and tell people pickups could not be fulfilled and apologize for the inconvenience. Instead they decided to make customers wait. read more

The worst Wal-Mart EVER! The shelves are always empty and the place is a mess. They are always out of whatever I go there for. On top of this, the management is a nightmare and the employees are all beyond rude! They refuse to take coupons of all kinds, and always have a different reason why they won't take it. Even manufactured coupons and coupons specifically advertised by Wal-Mart! You have an issue and want to talk to management? Good luck, you can wait there all day and they will never come out to speak with you. No wonder the employees are comfortable treating customers with such outright disrespect and rudeness. Terrible customer service. We were looking around for a specific aisle, saw an employee walking in our direction. She made eye contact with us and immediately took a turn. We went into a different aisle and she cruised by in front of us. We later asked a cashier for directions and went into the aisle we needed. The same employee that avoided us was clearly on shift was standing around in the area and when we asked her for the boy section, she said she has no idea, she isn't from the section. She strolled off chatting away on her phone and looked like she was avoiding management. Placed a delivery order before noon. Scheduled a 4-5pm delivery window. Received one email that items were shopped for and one item out of stock...Order never arrived...called customer service...told them order hasn't arrived. CS said pickup & delivery service closes at 8pm. It was 8 pm. We cancelled order and we won't be charged. No courtesy to let us know that our items were not going to be delivered. We need these items due to COVID. No consideration whatsoever by Walmart. Very poor service. read more

I think it's hilarious that people are upset with issues that Walmart is known for. It's Wal-Mart people! That being said, I live right in the middle of this palm desert store and the palm springs store. Being that my gym is in Rancho mirage, I tend to go to this store more often. It's so much cleaner and organized than the one in palm springs and the lines are shorter, thanks to so many self check out lanes. I usually wouldn't review Walmart, but having had to go to both locations today made me see the stark contrast between the two. I've come to this Walmart a lot of times . We have a big family too feed and never once have we had a problem checking out during self check out until today . One item we had was scanned incorrectly as another item which we asked them take off or replace it to the right price . The lady continued to come back after taking the item off and harass us saying that we didn't pay for all of the formula when we had two scanned and one in my hand ready to be scanned. Hmm I'm having trouble understanding why I would need to steal formula that my wic covered . Everything we scanned was in the receipt and on the screen but we were harassed as if we were stealing . So she opened the things we already paid for and had the receipt for . Totally unacceptable. I don't care who you are or if it's your job . know your place and respect the things your customers are buying from your place of employment. You don't not have the right too look through things that have been paid for especially when here was no reason . That's our property once we buy it . This is the only wal-mart my family will shop at. It's bright, well light, clean, and always very busy. Everything I need I know that I can find here, and it's in a great area with a lot of other shops nearby. The Mcdonalds inside is also excellently ran. My only complaint is that lately it seems like the shelves aren't being stocked as often or enough to keep up with the demand. Last week we went they were completely out of bottled arrowhead water (large packs), certain chips, and almost a whole section in the meat department. Try to avoid going around 6 pm when it's the busiest, or after 12 am unless you mind not everything being there. I also think they should realize just how many people shop there and open more lanes for checkout. Every time the line will go all the way back, 6+ people deep. Even though they added self checkout, the lines are still long (and sometimes the lines for self checkout are even longer!) gah... hire more cashiers! :P Otherwise it's a great place! read more

What can I say. It's a Walmart!. Prices you can't beat. However, one of the cleanest Walmarts out there. They always have clean aisle, and staffing is a hit or miss. Some are friendly some aren't, but it is what it is. read more

Wednesday I saved an18 by 9 by 48 pool to my shopping cart, I saved it so when I got paid Friday I could buy it for 399 when I went to order it Saturday morning it shot up to a 100 bucks. I called Walmart spoke to Mariel as she said come in and will match it after almost a 1/2 an hour of waiting one of the sales associates asked for her to come to the front they had customers waiting she came with attitude and said she never spoke to me and she is the only person with that name there at 8:53 Saturday morning and I said OK before I could finish she walked away so disappointed with Walmart they've always have corrected an issue and this 1 could not wait to go back to doing whatever she was doing. read more
