i bought a clearance set of headphones and it was priced 9.67 instead of 15 something I open it and it was only the 2 chargers and the extra ear peices, so I go to guest services to get something back so I can buy a new pair cus I wanted headphones but they said because not everything is in the box there is nothing we can do. which is dumb because it was in the store room without all the prices so I'm upset that I spent 10 bucks on an item I can't use and they refused to trade it out and let me pay the difference never comming back ridiculous read more

Racism is alive and well at this Walmart. I've never felt so unwelcome and racial profiled at a Walmart store before. While we were checking out, we had Caucasian lady working in the self checkout tell us she had check everything in our bags against everything scanned in the computer. We were not done checking out yet. Once she confirmed everything in our bags was scanned, she stood there and watched as we finished checking out. Once we were done, guess what we paid for everything we had. We do not steal, we don't need to. We came to Payson to camp for the weekend and relax. We did not come here for this crap. Ethical treatment of handicap, senior citizens I am handicapped, and when I went in the store, I had to urinate and use a men's room. Two Walmart employees were blocking the door. I told them I had to go very badly. They said I could not because the bathroom was locked. I told them that I had to urinate so bad I was going to "pee in my pants. One of the two guys Walmart employees at the door of the bathroom told me "so pee in your pants" I called a manager told her what happened. She said well you can't go in the bathroom is locked. Even though the door was open and two men were standing there. I told her I had to urinate very badly and may not be able to hold it and may very likely pee in my pants and that the man told me so pee in your pants. She said well do what you have to do. I ask are you telling me to pee in my pants? She said no but do what you have to do. This is disgraceful unethical. Somebody needs to put a stop for this kind of disgraceful treatment of seniors and handicapped. read more

I'm giving a 5 for prices and customer service. There were 3 people that helped us and they were awesome. They were friendly, customer service oriented, AND helpful. My husband was ecstatic that I found maple trees here, and we got one. I'm giving a 3 for the parking lot. I could see accidents taking place there, which we almost got into one because the guy was careless. Their driving aisles and parking aisles are a bit crazy. read more

Not the best walmart out there. I know Walmart is known for not being great but this one is worse than that. The lines are almost always extremely long as there are never enough open. They have the personal shoppers all over the store not caring about the customers. They will cut you off stand in your way, almost run right into you and over all are just rude. The parking lot is very dangerous as well. Most people seem to not know how to park in it. Ive heard of multiple people being shot at or killed there. Not so much of a review of the Walmart as I was only in here for all of thirty minutes and only in sports. Never the less, Mary in sports is the absolute best. I stopped in while on a fishing trip to get bait and saw an item behind the case calling my name. Well Mary pops up out of nowhere asking me what I'd like to see, answering questions, and to just help in anyway she could. Then she patiently helped me fill out paperwork and complete my transaction. All the while, thanking me for my patience when in really I should have been thanking her for hers! She is a delight and a very hard worker. If the manager is reading this, you need to bring Mary a coffee tomorrow and take her to lunch. She's a rockstar! read more

We spend about $1000 per month on consumables for our company. This week they had 2 check outs open. Lines were down the aisles. Took my cart full of bulk items to self checkout, waited 20 minutes in line. While I was still checking out the employee for the self check out came over and accused me of stealing. Because I had to put the items in the floor after ringing them in. When she realized I was not stealing she never apologized. Asked for the manager, there was none in the store. This store is filthy. Nothing gets cleaned, ever. read more

First and last time going to this walmart and it's such a shame because i loved the layout of it, but unfortunately the worst customer service ever, as a person who works in customer service it's by far the most ridiculous encountered i have had. Went to go look at the balls to purchase one, and yes i was bouncing the balls to see if they were any good. Not one but two employees had the need to come and grab the ball i was testing out and put it back where it went, and purposely bumped into my gf while doing so, we left the area came back to look at the balls and yet again (that's why we went to walmart) we were getting approached AGAIN by the "lovely" employee Matt (employee who bumped into my gf on purpose) and telling us "seriously, seriously" we were not bouncing the balls because apparently that's part of the rules. read more

I'm new to Payson having just bought a vacation home here. So maybe being used to living in Laguna Hills, CA my expectations are a bit too high. Hardly anybody working. You had to go out into the parking lot to get a basket. The shelves are barren. Luckily, they had most of what I wanted, but in every case I got the last one on the shelf, and I usually had more than one on my shopping list. No variety. WARNING DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS. I went to the Payson Walmart to use a gift card I got for Christmas and it did not work. I went home as instructed checked the balance and it had $50. I went back to customer service and they said they could help the cashier if the strip on the back was not working to just go through the regular line. When I went to pay the customer service rep came over and she still could not get it to work. So she took me over to her counter. It still did not work. I then asked for a manager. I was told she was the manager. I said it was really scary if she is the manager and she doesn't know how to help us. She said she was the front end manager. I got home and called the number and it says I have $50. How many people have balances and throw the card away because they do not work. WALMART is keeping this money. I usually stop by this store when I come through town. Always friendly and with the goods I need. I'm glad to see they do not allow "service" animals in the store. I normally dislike shopping at walmarts. though this one is far away it's a pleasure to go to. but here is my biggest gripe. The walmart in Phoenix (near me) never has clothes that fit me. Now I'm a big boy but not any bigger than many other men who live here. so get this I was in Payson today. A city of about 15,813 people. I stopped in to this walmart. Also they had tons of shoppers and at least 12 lines open that I could see and all of the self checkout registers as well, I barely waited. My cashier was friendly. It's Walmart. You pretty much know what you are going to get. And yes, what you expect is what you get. This one is a relatively clean store (although the restrooms could use some attention) and well stocked. It's a large store with just about anything you might need. We found the employees to be relatively friendly and our cashier was efficient. Can look for much more out of a relatively late night Walmart experience. read more

Such amazing customer service! I have never seen a better Walmart staff across the store anywhere else. I really had to write a review for them. While I was walking around lost, an employee asked what I was looking for. I gave him a rough description of a wraparound kinda shirt,he understood took me to another lady and then walked me to it! While I was figuring out how to wear it, the fitting room lady was so sweet,she helped me put it on and even pointed me to another color they had. At the back ,my husband was looking at Apple watch bands which were on clearance and another employee helped him fix a price difference between the 38 and 42mm getting an override from his manager and checked us out as well. Also helped with finding shirt sizes. What more can you ask for...!! read more

For a small town like Payson, Walmart provides! I can't tell you how many times I have stopped here before hikes/adventures along the rim. The staff is always super nice and helpful. Last time upon using the self checkout, I almost left my sunglasses behind on the counter. One of the staff members alerted me to the fact that I had left it behind. I can tell you that my local Walmart's staff in Phoenix wouldn't have even half-cared to let me know. For that, I will continue to visit this location. read more

Was totally ripped off. Bought computer online. Verified pickup. Got confirmation emailS. Next day, pick up day, I received an email stating they COMPLETELY CANCELED my entire order after verification and confirmation, no explanation. Interestingly, when I went to place replace order the price magically jumped up from $799 to OVER $965 (MORE than the MSRP $899) !!! They told me "too bad". "YOU can watch our site to see if we get anymore, but we won't call and let you know if the item is ever restocked." "Customer Service" only service was to tell ME what options I had to do myself. NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE in any sense. Customer service can't resolve or take part in any customer service, only tell you how you can try and help yourself because Walmart customer service is not authorized to provide it. No assistance to resolve ever offered/attempted except "don't know what to tell you. Nothing we can do. YOU can keep checking our site for same computer, but we won't notify you (when our inventory is updated like most websites do automatically.) Here's the proof in black and white. Thier verification. Worst Covid 19 preparation I've ever seen. No social separation in lines at all. And saying employees are required to wear masks is a lie, they were wearing them but not in a functional way at all. I saw one employee wearing a mask properly. Basically all the rest I saw had it below their nose and most had it below their mouths even. The cashier had it barely covering her lower lip and and repeatedly was rubbing her nise and mouth. The front if the store had masks for customers and sanitizer but it does little if any good if the nask is around their chins and in some case around their neck. No wonder paysin accounts for 25% of Gila county cases. It's truly sad when employee fobt care to be bothered and managers and supervisors don't do their jobs at all. We visit many Wal-Mart stores in our travels and and find them all to be so much better than our home store in Payson. They seem to be better stocked with better selections, much cleaner, neater, and better organized and the employees friendlier and happier with their jobs. Is it just me, or is this Wal-Mart smaller than the ones in the Valley? Anyway, maybe it just seems that way to my untrained eyes. Not that it matters, because even if it is a bit smaller they still have everything, they are just more of a Small-Mart. ;) So, I came in here over the weekend to pick up a few grocery items while I was on my way up to my parent's cabin in Christopher Creek. The store was clean, the employees were friendly and the process went mostly smoothly, with the exception of when we needed to get a box of decongestants for my head cold. First off there were no 'pull cards' in the cold medicine section to take up to the pharmacy counter to request the type of medicine that you needed, which means you are forced to remember that you wanted the Wal-Mart brand, 24 pack, Ultrasuperextra Strength 12 hour pills in the blue box, and *not* the Wal-Mart brand, 12 pack, Extra Strength 6 hour non-drowsy pills in the red box. Seriously? If you are rocking a head cold as fierce as I was, you actually welcome having a little, pre-printed card that says exactly what box of medicine you want instead of having to remember what kind you wanted all the way through the pharmacy line. Anyway, I saw the line to get to the pharmacy counter was about 5 people deep, so I left my husband in that line to get my medicine while I ran across the store and got the milk, eggs, marshmallows, pancake mix, firelog and other assorted cabin necessities. I was gone a solid 20 minutes and by the time I got back with a cart full of stuff my husband had just made it to the front of the line where he was having his license run by the world's slowest pharmacy employee to verify that it was indeed okay for him to purchase a box of cold medicine. That process took her another 5 agonizing minutes where everyone in line behind him shuffled their feet and glared at the back of his head because (of course) it was all his fault that it took so long for her to do her job... (Side rant: It is so f******* annoying to have to do that all thanks to the worthless methheads of the world screwing things up for everyone else. Thanks a lot, you idiots!) Anyway, FINALLY the pharmacy employee finished selling the damn medicine to my husband and we used the cashier at the garden exit to pay for our other groceries and go. The garden center cashier was fast, efficient and polite, and my total damage for a cart full of assorted stuff was just about $36, you can't beat that. read more

Hmmm....what to say....Wal-mart has a lot of stuff, and this time it totally satisfied all of our needs for our weekend cabin trip. The best thing about this location, is they have really good movies in the $5 bin, and on top of that, it's y organized. Go to pretty much any other Wal-Mart, you will find an un-organized bin that contains Spanish movies and crappy movies that you never knew existed. read more
