Much too crowded for a quick run. Much to messy for a quick find. Much too cramped to get in line. This walmart could have potential but the floor is either filled with merchandise to be stocked or employees with pallets trying to find a place to park the items. There were plenty of cashiers but the area for the check-out lines to form are too cramp and lines are forced to curve awkwardly into each other. People are polite and kind but then its gets too bothersome to keep asking folks which line they were in and if it was the end of line. Next time? I rather not. read more

I have this Walmart marked on my maps as the Walmart NOT to go to. The few times I have ended up there I have always had to hunt for a shopping cart. Also the store is often super crowded, everything is locked up in glass and no one has the damn key! If I could give negative stars I would. Called to talk to someone in automotives for a new battery. I'm coming from the West LA area and I wanted to make sure that they had the battery I needed. On the freeway I had my husband call. the guy Pedro who's been there for only 2 weeks has no customer service and NOT one word came out of his mouth sir were busy. He puts us on hold and set the phone down on the counter to where we can hear his full conversation with another employee. 20 some-odd minutes we get there and my husband walks to the counter and says are you going to answer that. Pedro looks at the phone and says oh, mind u my husband is on the phone.... STILL ON HOLD. All Pedro could say was.. what did u want? The parking situation was hell on earth and it was a random Saturday.. Go in the mf and the return line is blocking the entrance.. then damm near everything is cages where u gotta find a Walmart employee to open them.. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Only come here as a last resort! Not only is this location overly crowded, but the parking is so annoying! I went tonight because my boyfriend saw online that they had an ugly Christmas sweater (only 2 instock) and it was his size. When I finally managed to snag a parking spot, I head inside and have no clue where the sweaters are. I go towards the men's section, no Christmas in sight. I see an employee and ask her if she knew where they would be. Her response was outright rude! First she just points and says over in the men's section... so I kindly asked if she could show me because I didn't see anything. Her response "you're gonna have to just look for yourself " I'm sorry what?! I would have my head on a platter if I said that to a customer at my workplace! I then see another employee and ask him if he knew where the Christmas sweaters were and he also says the men's section. I could feel my blood boil and I just tried to be kind and asked if he could please walk with me and show me since I'm clearly missing them. He at least had the decency to speed walk and try to show me... only to find they ARE NOT there! He then just says they must be sold out, despite me showing him what their website says. I ask another employee stocking shirts and she just replied if I couldn't find anything then they're sold out. Before I could even ask another question, she walked away. I'm about to give up hope and leave the store when I finally see a giant section up front of.... UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS!! This one had the worst customer service that you can find in LA. They built counter in the middle of the room, but there are no signs that forbid you to walk beside it. The associate with widely opened eyes rushed towards me waving his hands to forbid me to enter the area. Hey, why don't put a sign for people, so they will know what area not to enter? The same with their car service. They just don't want to service your car. They make customers to wait for hours, and they nearly move their bodies, as if they going to die any minute. This store has the worst management and they not control who they hire, probably they never tested the staff for the ability to work with customers. This is not my favorite Walmart store by a long shot. The lines are frequently very long, with cashiers that don't seem to be in a hurry at any time. While the prices are pretty good, you really do have to pay a heavy price when it comes to your patience, your frustration, and your time getting the heck out of there! Parking is not so hot either, and if you are someone like me that values their car, you'll park alllllll the way to the end of the lot to avoid other shoppers from hitting your car. (Side note: The police department frequently uses this location to store their bait cars. There are signs posted very secretly in the lot) Anyway, if you aren't in a hurry, and you just want to blow some time while shopping for your household necessities - go here. I was told it would be 45 minutes so I went and shopped and at 10:30 I was told my pil change was declined because they couldnt remove the oul filter. Another 1/2 hour later and ai cant leave because the manager has to authorize the decline and they wont give me my car keys until then. They keep paging a manager and...crickets... Denisce Quizaman at the Walmart in Normandie is the rudest, most disrespectful manager I have ever met. She refused to take product back even though I had the receipt. We called customer service and got a reference # and she gave us the run around said she was going to read the email she was sent and instead walked very slowly to the restroom. Took her sweet ass time just to tell us she wasn't going to take it back and on top of everything brought another rude associate by the name of Anthony to back her up as if she was going to do something if I didn't leave when she told me no. I'm writing this review as I stand inside of the store. This has to be one of the absolute worst stores to come to. I usually dont shop at walmart becauze the lines are always long anf the service sucks. But today I came in to pick up some deodorant. I go to the personal care section and all of the deodorant is locked up. I see a Walmart associate and I asked her if she could unlock the deodorant case, and OMG!!! why did I ask her that!!! This locations always has everything on my list. Sure, not every employee is super nice, but isn't that pretty much everywhere..? I haven't had a personally "super bad" experience, but I put 4 stars because the ONE time I bring my sister and we want to have one cart with both our items in it and pay two separate ways because some is hers and some is mine...the guy tells me NO that we can't do that!? I'm like what???! Why not?! This was in the self check out..I'm like why do we NEED two carts if we are literally shopping together?! It was SOOO weird..I've never in my life ever had someone tell me we can't share a cart...I had maybe 16/17 items and she had maybe 19/20 (it's 20 items or less self check out) . It was just a weird thing to go thru. They literally made us get a second cart to separate our items just so we can go pay...gosh, writing this makes me want to put less than 4 stars..but this only happened once, so I'll keep it at 4 stars but those employees..ehhh THEY are more like 1Star...I worked at Target before, & I wouldn't ever tell my customers "you can't shop together." Ok, ok. Yes, I should have known. But ... well, but I ... ok, you're right, there's no reason I should have gone here. To be honest, I needed keys done. This location was on my way home from work, so I thought it would be convenient. I was honestly just hoping they would have a Minute Key kiosk like the one near my house so I wouldn't even have to deal with their service staff. Unfortunately, NADA. I walked to the automotive department hoping they may have placed it there. They didn't. But they did make keys. I saw the area. I was already here. I might as well, I told myself. As I walked up, I noticed there was nobody near the key area. Looked around, actually nobody to be found at all. I walked over to the next area of goods and asked an employee if I could be helped. He mumbled something about the person never being there, but they should show up in five minutes or so. At least, that's what I think he said. Mumbler. Complete mumbler. Lack of annunciation. He walked around, said no one was there, and left me there ... alone ... waiting. I waited what seemed like 4-5 minutes when someone walked out of the auto service center. "Have you been helped yet?" "No" was my reply. I was told someone would show up soon to help me out. A glimmer of hope? Nope. A few minutes later, I was still there. Alone. Waiting. Sure this review is off of one experience. I remember when they first opened this location back when I was still a Gardena resident... Even though it was a brand spankin' new Wal-Mart, I still felt a bit dirty and sheisty walking out. Not sure what it is about hitting up a Tarjay that keeps the happy mojo flowin', but the marketing folks at Wal-Mart need to take some notes on cool factorness. Fast forward a couple of years, and I find myself living in Huntington Beach. I still get my haircut in the South Bay, and yesterday the shaggy nappiness needed some taming. Nearing Redondo Beach, I found myself with 20 minutes to spare. I wanted to pop in somewhere and pick up the 3rd season of Lost on Blu-Ray and this Wal-Mart was right smack dab in the middle of my route. Screw it... let's go in. Parking was a nightmare. Walking in it became harder to breathe. There was a Disney-esque line formed for customer dis-service and everyone looked sour. Merchandise was disheveled, hordes of masses walking every which way, mixed bargain bins were being rummaged through by folks as if it were the quest for the Holy Grail. I almost got run over by a few different people with the motorized shopping carts. No Blu-Ray available here. My detergent was a couple bucks cheaper, but there was no way I was going to wait it out in those lines under those conditions for a couple of bucks. I needed to leave. In a hurry. RUN.. don't walk... RUN! Ok, well, maybe fast-walk. Don't want security to tackle me thinking I'm five-fingering anything.
