My boyfriend's glasses (frames) were broken so I bought the exact frames that he loves from a seller on Ebay. I took them to Walmart Vision Center to change out the lenses and Regina Paleo was amazing. Regina did not hesitate to change the lenses and she even cleaned the glasses and frames. I came here to buy my contacts since my insurance covers a portion of the costs. This is actually my second time. I have to say I regret giving this place a second chance and it's primarily due to one person, the manager Roe. The first time I ordered contacts there was a major delay with delivery, it was shortly after covid when supply issues were happening. I understand the delay but when I came in and inquired about the contacts and why I had not had an update like a call or something I mean it had been almost a month, Roe's defenses went up, telling me they couldn't control the supply issues. Clearly she did not hear what my concern was about so when she finally took a breath and I could speak I expressed how taken back I was at the lack of empathy. I guess Roe realized maybe she needed to take a beat because there was what appeared to be a sincere apology. So I go back to order contacts at the beginning of the month and walk in and without even a glance over by Roe she says "we will be with you in a moment". Ok, I guess eye contact is not needed. As I sit there placing my order other than the occasional required question Roe does not really interact with me until about 15mins into the order, not a hello a hows your day, a glance at me until it's clearly awkward and finally she starts on small talk. While she is helping me another customer walks in and same thing, we will be right with you, Roe didnt even glance in her direction. So I leave and am expecting a call almost three weeks later, so I call to check on my order , looks like the contacts are ready for pick up. I inform Roe I had not received a call to make me aware of this and she states " you were contacted on the 25th, the call comes from a third party it may look like spam" I asked her well do they leave a voice-mail and she said yes. Mind you when the contacts were being ordered i was not informed that a third party would call, especially considering every time they want to sell to me and come replenish my contacts the call comes straight from the walmart vision center. So yeah I had no voice-mail at any point. So I just ask her for her name, and say thank you and the response was mmhm... and then click. It really felt like like she was annoyed and I felt like it was not easy to do business and they did not care about me as a customer. Once I picked up my contacts Roe just set them down on the table and I asked do you have a bag, response was a swift "no we ran out", no sorry, no unfortunately ... so disappointing. I was looking online at 1800contacts and prices are a little cheaper there so rather than risk another interaction with Roe I think I will just order online. read more

I have to give it up to Walmart Vision Center. Honestly, I can't believe I'm writing this review for Walmart but here I am... very pleasantly surprised. I mean let's face it, us normal people dread having to step foot in a Walmart but I'm here to tell you guys... it's okay.. and not only is it okay, I highly recommend! So I just filled my prescription lenses with them and from the moment I stepped foot in there, I was warmly greeted, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The lady that took my prescription and looked up my insurance was so nice! We had a good talk and she went out of her way to make sure to get my OC height, which I've had people skip out on that and then have it be a problem later. She also even checked prices for me on what would be better- to go through my insurance or not.... Yes, my insurance sucks that bad. My lenses were ready within a couple days. Super fast! They called me, I picked them up, they popped them in and bam! Done! They also didn't even have to keep my frames while I waited on my lenses. They take some kind of digital print that traces your frames so there's no need. Pretty cool! They also adjusted my frames to fit a little tighter after I asked since I felt they were a little loose. So weird to say this but looks like I will be going to Walmart again... out of choice. read more

I was on my last pair of disposable contacts, which I had been wearing and had been reusing now for 4 months over the recommended time given by the manufacturer. My expensive glasses I purchased 3 years ago at Lens Crafters? I accidentally stepped on them, breaking them in half. You know how it is, when life gets in the way, and you keep putting off and putting off that appointment with the eye doctor? Then, it hits you. You suddenly realize you never did make that appointment, but realize this only after your prescription had already expired. You will need to pay for another eye exam, before you are able to buy more contacts and/or glasses. I was searching for a place less expensive and less pushy than Lens Crafters, and a place that accepted walk-ins. I, first, made some calls to Costco's Vision Center, but their answering machine came on each time, even though they were open. Why bother being in a service-related business and not answer the phone during business hours?!! I never understood that. I proceeded to give Walmart Vision Center a try instead and Jessica answered after only one ring. They do accept walk-ins, but she jotted me down for a 12pm appointment, just in case, and said it would be fine if I were to arrive earlier than that. Since it was my first visit, I was required to fill out some paperwork. It was a simple, one-page sheet, so I was able to complete it quickly, before Jessica sat me down in a room with three eye exam machines. "Focus on the house." "A puff of air will come out of this one." "Press the button, each time you see squiggly lines appear." Jessica directed me into the next room, where Dr. Joseph Nguyen fully examined my eyes. He didn't keep me waiting long and the entire exam process took only 10 minutes. Dr. Nguyen also addressed my inquiries about which contact lens type and glasses might work best for me. I had only planned on getting contacts this time around, but when Liz showed me some great brand name frames at good prices, I figured, "Why not?". Liz did not pressure me nor did she try to convince me into trying on several pairs of more expensive glasses she thought might look better on me (Lens Crafters did just that. I ended up spending over $500 and that was including my insurance's portion!). She quote prices with my insurance and without, but with the 50% off frame promotion, helping me choose between a plastic and a metal pair that I had pulled from their display. Liz explained the lens material, protective finishes, and warranty plans, as well. From the exam to the point of sale, it only took 45 minutes, while my fiancé rested in the car. Usually everyone at this location is very polite and helpful. But Gena is the super star, a couple of years ago I took my mom, and we messed up her prescription, it was our fault, but Gena went above and beyond, she even called corporation and made everything possible to help my mom, I will be forever grateful for that. She has no idea how much we appreciated her help. As I mentioned before, everyone has high customer service skill level. I have never had a bad experience with them. They also give calls for follow up, but they are not annoying trying to sell you something. I usually try to go to small family businesses, but this vision center is different and I highly recommend it read more

I wrote a review yesterday but i can not find it. want people to know ths vision center at walmart on west ontario ave in corona should be closed or get completely new staff. I arrived for my appointment and basically ignored. it was after my appointment time when someone finally ask to help. I was taken to the back where young lady was filling out my paper work.. she stood up and turned her back to me and i could see her underware. she took me to do the glaucoma test but first we had to do this other test i asked if it was covered by insurance she did'nt know but the dr. wanted so i told her i better not get a bill for this test she stuttered every time i asked her if the test was covered. she did not bother to go check. then she only did the glaucoma test on one eye and put it for both eyes when i went out front to pick out glasses i again got ignored for several minutes the person who finally helped me was very short with me when i asked questions she kept talking to the other sales lady telling her to use as close to 300 dollars because that was her amount for the year for the lady she was helping so when she finally started to help me she did not read the doctors rx and asked if i want the same type of bifocals i said the rx was for computer glassed not my evey day glasses. i got glasses 2 years ago at this center and was treated great the current staff is unprofessional and there is no reason to use up all my 200 dollars as i my need it before the end of the year as i am waiting to have eye surgery and would need some of that money for new glasses but the lady was not interested and was going to spend all my money and tough if i had to pay for it this review is for the unprofessional staff not the doctor he was ok read more

I ordered my glasses on Dec 20 and they said they would be in by January 2. I hadn't heard anything so on January 5th I called and they said they had been in since Dec 27th,10 days ago and couldn't reach me! I verified that they had the right number and I double checked and I had no calls from them or messages. So they have just been sitting there the last 10 days and I could of really used them! I haven't been able to drive at night cause my old prescription is too blurry. They should of tried to call me more than once, if they really called at all! Lesson learned don't depend on them to call you, I should of checked myself! read more

This office has the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I originally got my prescription at this location and called them from a Costco location asking them to fax up my contact prescription. They required a release form which is fine, but they waited an hour to respond and then they told me to re-fax the release form with the current date on it. They didn't even tell me exactly what they wanted on the form, just that they needed written permission to send my prescription. The manager at my Costco was frustrated with their apparent lack of customer service and called the manager asking what the reason was for their non-compliance. Turns out that after all the frustration and time wasted, my prescription ended up being expired! But they wouldn't tell me that until I not only signed and dated the form to their standards, but until they deemed it important to even respond to me. The Costco optical manager asked if they even cared about providing decent customer service and this Corona Vision Center manager said "I guess not." Ridiculous! Absolutely pathetic. 1 star just because I have to. Went in for eye exam. The Dr that did the exam was not very thorough. I felt like I had to ask him instead of him explaining to me how my eyes were. Anyway he game me my prescription and that was that. I went back to pick up my contacts. One employee was helping a customer and the other was busy doing paperwork and told me they would be right with me. 20 min later I asked the lady doing the paperwork how much longer just to pick up, she slammed her papers and said "I don't know mam" and rolled her eyes. This lady was so damn rude. Later she slammed papers again and said she would help me and proceeded asking for my info. First and last time!! I will never go back to this vision center!! read more

Terrible wait time. I should have known better than to let a dr change my perscription who was texting when my face was up to the equipment! im getting my eyes checked not my hearing!! Come to find out he changed my perscription and my eyes were bothering me for four months before i figured out i needed to go to a real eye dr. No more money saving when it comes to the eyes. Great selection of glasses, and the staff is super friendly and helpful both in person and on the phone. I ordered regular prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses at the same time. It was a pricey purchase, but they always have deals and they're still cheaper than any Lenscrafter-type store. The employee (Cindy) was extremely helpful and she helped me out a lot. They quoted me 7-10 days for both pairs to come in, but they actually came in 3 and 4 days after ordering them. Super quick! Paid the optional $20 extra for the one year warranty, highly recommended! They keep your prescription and warranty on file, so you don't have to bring in any paper work when you have to come back. Only bad thing is that the store can be a bit understaffed for how busy it is. I'll be back for here for my next pair! read more

Very good service and I just recently got Vision insurance for me and my wife. The doctor in the office was very helpful and nice. Prices on glasses weren't to high and clean office. They do offer insurance plans on the glasses if you do want it. I have 30 days from purchase I think I am going to go back and get it. read more

*No stars for them!*Foreword- We updated our prescription on our lenses but kept our old frames. Our second time here in a few months, we went in to pick up my glasses because the first time the lenses were popping out. From the time of appointment-purchase to picking up was a total of forty-eight days. This time, we got them and tried them on. If I barely moved my head they would fall off my face. I looked down as if to read and they still fell off. I asked if they could fix it. Juan didn't ask if he could bend them, mind you they are plastic and have a metal rod running through. He came back and the tips of the glasses were at a 90 degree angle. They looked like handle bars and completely wrapped around my ears. Juan was clearly irritated and had stopped helping us. Gena then became the main one assisting us. After numerous tries they still couldn't fix it. All the while the manager didn't say one word to us or even look in our direction. Mind you I'm assuming she didn't look at us because I couldn't see. Not one word. Gena kept trying and I finally asked if I could speak to the manager. Gena then said, "I'm the assistant manager and I am here to help." I then pressed on I wanted to talk to the manager and Gena said, "she actually wants me to assist you." I said it loud enough for the manager to hear. The manager was in no shape to help us. I was livid. The manager clearly three feet away from us started to sing the 80s song "Manic Monday." I couldn't believe how disrespectful she was. Clearly, I never got her name. Still trying about an hour in, Gena tells me we can put the old lenses in the frames. Mind you, I was in for my new prescription lenses that were fixed the second time along with the frames. She was telling me I could put the old prescription lenses in the busted pair of frames for what I paid. They would not give me my money back or store credit. If you know anything about eye wear it is insanely expensive. I basically had help throwing away one hundred and twenty-nine dollars. They told me they could give me a refund if I purchased it before the thirty day mark. I didn't apply because I was waiting on them to re-fix my lenses and here we are. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The absence of customer service is incredible. The store manager was entirely oblivious. I left for more words to say, PISSED. We told them they lost two customers and they didn't bat and eye. For being an vision center you would imagine the situation would be clear. read more

I bought a pair of glasses in March by September the coating wore off, they offered no help at all with replacement since I did not buy the warranty. I have been wearing glasses for 30 years and had my last pair for 4 years so I know how to take care of them. I will never go back again and just beware their customer service at this location is rude and not helpful. i came here to get an eye exam and glasses. The doctor there is great, she really takes the time to go through each part of the exam and is very thorough. Then when I was picking out my glasses the staff was very friendly and helped me pick out a frame. They took their time going over the different lens types and made sure that I got everything I needed for the price that I wanted. I was in a hurry to get a new pair or glasses since I lost mine and I am supposed to wear them all the time. I went to this Wal-Mart which is right up the street from my office. First the place is dark and uninviting and the associates are rude and look very unprofessional. I went ahead and got the vision exam and the doctor was okay but I thought I will just have her give me the prescription and I will go else where for the prescription, but as soon as she walked out of the room they took me over and told me to look around and find a pair of frames that I liked.So I thought maybe I had to get the glasses there. So although I did not find find anything I loved I found one that would work. This was a very difficult task since there were carts all though out the place I had to move them back and forth to be able to look. I then told one of the associates I found a pair and she told me "go sit over there and some one will be with you in minute" as she pointed to one of the tables. So finally a girl came and sat down in front of me and started typing on the computer and then proceeded to try to up sale me on a few things. These exact words came out of my month "I want basic lenses, nothing extra" I guess I should have known she was not listening since she asked my about something else extra. Also mean while she was having a conversation with the other associate there and helping several other customers at the same time. Then she was done and told me to go to the counter and pay my balance. I knew I had a $10 co-pay but the total was $50 but since I was in a hurry to get back to work I though maybe my vision was bad so I had to pay extra for the lenses. I did not thing much about it after that until the next day when one of the other girls in my office stated we have 100% coverage on the lenses regardless of the vision type. So I pulled the receipt (which I did not look at before) and say that there was a $70 charge for the lenses. I called and the so called manager tried to blame me for the whole thing and stated I asked for them or maybe it was he type of glasses that I picked (if so it was not mentioned) then told me she needed to talk to the girl who did it to get her side of the story.She put m eon hold and came back and said the girl remembered me (yeah right) and knows she went over it with me. I told her I wanted to cancel my order and she told me she would call me back . She then called me back about 20 minutes after and said the girl took notes and in the notes it stated she asked me about it. Ummmm..........no notes where taken she was to busy doing a million other things. So to me it seems like they try to get you over as much as they can. I am going in today to get my prescription from the doctor and get my money back and I am not ordering the glasses from them I will go some where else. read more
