One of the best sandwiches I've had in Portland! That relish sauce is phenomenal and must be studied. All the ingredients work well together and the bread was fresh. The place gets really busy right at opening so I recommend ordering online. Plenty of seating in the food pod area.

These sandwiches are legit! Great portion sizes and a good amount of meat! The brad was soft and there was also a good amount of fresh toppings. Service was good, and the orders arrived correctly. The food truck pod offers some seating, was clean, and inviting. I tried a cold turkey sandwich and my friend tried one of the hot sandwiches off the menu. Both were incredible! Pro tip: Arrive early, there will be a line.

Three visits in four days.....enough said. Went Thursday for the Rachel. They were sold out (thankfully)! It made me opt for door 2. Which, ended up being the PCT and the Dom. PCT - easily my new fav sando. Light, feel good, turkey and cucumbers....how can you go wrong? Felt magnificent after vs carbed up. Hubby and I kept stealing bites until suddenly it disappeared. The Dom - if Italians are your groove, this is your jam. It's filling and satisfying but a LOT. But, I'm also not that into Italian sando's. Came back Friday for the Rachel and they were out so we were too. Sunday returned for our last chance and scored!!!!! Snagging the last two Rachels, we were stoked! They delivered. I don't know why I didn't realize it was toasted till I was ready to nom but I wasn't disappointed. The turkey...the slaw....the fresh tomatoes in the perfectly crisped bread... Nom, Nom, Nom Whenever I'm down for a sandwich, this is my new Portland favorite.

I only had 72 hours to eat my way through Portland, this trip. Walter French's was on the top of my list for lunch spots to try, and I am so glad I made the trip (even in the rain)! Located in a super cute food truck court with a nice seating area (gas fire table and canopy for the cold rainy days). The staff were super engaging and gave excellent suggestions! The sandwiches were both original and delicious! I had the Gobbler, a sandwich with a Thanksgiving nod, Turkey, bacon, Cheddar, cranberry sauce, on a sesame hoagie. Easily one of my new favorite sandwiches. All of the ingredients were so fresh and melded perfectly together. Will be trying to recreate this with leftover Thanksgiving turkey and cranberry sauce! Not one to miss anything, I also tried the Big Dom, salami, capicola, ham, provolone with cherry pepper relish, red wine vinaigrette. Messy and delicious! Again incredibly fresh ingredients, fantastic flavor. Everything was made fresh to order. I am adding this to my list of "must have" repeat spots for my next visit out!

THE sammie spot you didn't know you needed--until you take one bite of the dom and suddenly question every sandwich choice you've ever made. this thing is BOMB, an explosion of flavor that should honestly be illegal (but thankfully, isn't). let's break it down: the bread? that perfect crunch-to-chew ratio that dreams are made of. the pepperoncini bring just the right amount of heat, the deli meat is stacked with intent, and that spread--oh WHEEEE. whatever magic they mix up back there should come with a warning label. i was in full-body food dance mode from first bite to last, no shame, all vibes. matt and ali? top-tier humans. not just sammie geniuses but the kind of people who make you feel like you've been friends forever. and let's be real--everything here revolves around their pups, which is exactly how the world should work. laverne got the VIP treatment, doggie treat inhaled (in the best way possible) and belly rubs from ali that made her seriously consider a new life as the walter's french shop dog. she flat-out didn't want to leave. but don't just take my word for it--go see (and eat) for yourself. chances are, you'll find me and laverne posted up, doing the food dance and plotting our next sammie.

Order: The Big Dom $15 Pros: This is my 3rd time trying to try them and finally was able to do so. The first time they ran out of what I wanted, the second time the wait was over an hour, and this time I was first in line ha ha!!! The sandwich was good! There was a slight sweetness that paired well with the vinaigrette and the saltiness of the sandwich. The bread was moist (eyes lol) and the sandwich was not dry. The bread was also soft. Gota give it to them the sandwich is good. Cons: took some time for them to open so was out waiting in the rain on my lunch break. It looked like they were setting up a few minutes before 12. I wanted the Big Dance, which is what I had a taste for but it is being discontinued due to avocado being too expensive. Even being first in line, the wait was 15-20 mins. While the sandwich is good, waiting and not getting what I wanted is a let down.

Excellent MASSIVE sandwiches that are certainly worth the value. They are exceptionally kind and friendly as well. They were very patient with me as I was trying to decide my order. I ended up getting a custom sandwich for my wife, the today's special for myself which was a dance club and a white peach lemonade. Everything was tasty and the portions were large enough to cover two meals! Highly recommend this spot when you have a hankering for a solid sammy

SO YUM!!! Stopped by because I was wanting something fresh-like a good ol sandwich and found this spot just three minutes away from where I was. I am so glad I did. We ordered the daily special sandwich.. don't remember the exact name but it had turkey, bacon, chipotle sauce, avocado spread and fresh veggies on ciabatta bread. As well as a classic grilled cheese (cheese pull was stunning). Everything tasted fresh and warm. Also, sandwich was VERY filling!! Great service. Good people. Great lunch.

    The Club special

Good as it looks Clean truck, fast, filling. Price was fair for the food! About 20$ Also got a fresh squeezed white peach lemonade which was so tart & delicious Chipotle mayo sauce, pepper, cheddar, bacon, meats, veggies, ciabatta. I'll certainly be back!

It had a panko crust which sometimes I prefer to batter. They were a little bit salty for my taste but ever since I got COVID lots of things have tasted salty so take that with a grain of salt I'm not a tartar sauce guy but this is some great sauce. I feel like later I got a piece of tarragon(?) out of my teeth and reminded me of the herby yummy sauce. I scoffed at first at the chips. Very non uniformly cut but surprisingly all well cooked. I don't know if it's they type of potato but the skin was really off putting. But solid toothsome chips that a splash of vinegar helps a lot. If I end up in a similar position again I'll definitely consider coming back.

I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!
