    Hot dog and a burrrrr

Cute bar. Very busy on a Friday night. Youngish vibes, which is totally cool. But I felt a little old there cool 70s bowling, Midwest vibes. Retro pinballs and a chill back patio. The hot dogs were good, basic but good. Service was cool the bar staff were nice. Idk if I would come back but it was a a total vibe.....

Such a cool bar! I have no business speaking on the pinball, but the drinks are good and the bar snacks hit. God bless

4.5 I always drive past this place and finally ventured in. They host a women's pinball tournament every 2nd Monday so I went to check it out. The place was packed for a Monday! I ordered a vegan dog and Mexican coke. The vegan dog was pretty good! I only wish it were more filling. Even my friend that ordered the normal hot dog didn't feel full. If you plan to go for dinner, I recommend ordering two hot dogs to fill you up. The space itself is so creative and it's clear that there's a consistent community that liven up the place. P.S There's a surprise sticker machine and a photo booth.

What a fun bar! I stopped by for a quick drink before my dinner reservation. Drinks were good and staff was kind.

Waltz has a pretty cool vibe and lights up the little town of Eagle Rock. The bar is fairly unorganized, and we couldn't figure out where the line to order drinks was. It's pretty small inside, but there's a handful of tables outside, which is where we ended up sitting. I was kinda freezing outside at night though. I got the Radler, which was pretty good. I like lighter, sweeter drinks, and this definitely hit the spot.

Always driven by here and wondered what it was, finally got the chance to stop in and play some pinball with my friends while enjoying a beer and PRETZELS! Very attentive bar tenders and such lively music and energy coming from both the indoor and outdoor spaces!

Great pinball arcade! Had some unique vintage machines like the coin engraver, peanut vending machine, ziggy. There's even a Photo Booth in the back patio for $7. All machines accept quarters. Service was quick and friendly. It was busy on a Tuesday night so street parking is a bit difficult. Bathrooms are clean. There's indoor bar seating, out door seating in the front and back. Got the strawberry sour don't recommend. Would definitely come back on Wednesday for their $5 pinball tournament tho

Great pinball bar- arcade located in the Eaglerock area. They have some craft beer options as well as some cheaper beer options like Hamm's. They also have some simple bar snacks as well, including hotdogs, pretzels, etc. The service here is really quick and this place overall has that old-school field to it. For some reason when I walked in here, that first diner scene of the original Children of the Corn popped into my mind, and I mean that in a good way, haha. The pinball games here range from older to slightly more modern, but still overall the pinball machines range on the older side. Definitely a lot of fun to play with some friends while drinking beers. Even if you're not here to play pinball games it's still a fun bar to hang out and drink beers. This is a type of place that I probably would've hung out at a lot with my buddies when we lived in the Silver Lake area in the late aughts early 2010's. Street parking could be a challenge depending on when you get here, but I was able to find parking about a block away.

Cool vibe, great tap list, and delicious hot dogs. First time here and we will be back again. Went to see Oasis after so it was the start of a great time.

Ask the Community - Walt's Bar

    Is this a full bar?

    No, just beer and wine

Is this place still 21 and over? I was there the other night and they allowed someone with a baby to come in.

Hi. *I* was that baby. Even tho I'm only 7 1/2 months, I'm very mature, read at a 4th grade level, and can probably drink you under the table. Goo-goo ga-ga. 👶🏼🍺

    Is it loud?

It's mostly full of students from Occidental College, so yes.

I know the question below says 21 and over. But want to check (since it sounds like a fun place to bring an older kid)...are no kids allowed for all hours?

It's a bar, straight up. Please leave your kids at home.

Is this place 21 and over?

    Yes, it sure is!

Walked us through the menu, gave a few drink recs, and just made it easy. While waiting, we took a lap around the place and checked everything out. Tons of little details everywhere. You can tell someone really put thought into it. Nick mentioned the owner actually goes to Thailand often and brings stuff back for the restaurant, which makes sense once you see the space. There was one cook in the back handling everything and bringing plates out fresh. Food came out hot and honestly hit. We ordered the steak pad see ew, chicken fried rice, fried shrimp rolls, and drinks. No complaints. Glad the burrito line was long or we probably wouldn't have found this spot. Definitely coming back, feels like a good date night place.

We were told seating was first come, first served, so when a table opened up outside, our group of five sat down while part of our group went inside to order. Almost immediately, my friends were aggressively accused by a waitress of bringing outside alcohol, which was completely untrue. Shortly after ordering multiple drinks and several plates of food, another staff member came to our table and began yelling at us, threatening to kick us out for being "rude" to staff, even though we had done nothing but order our food and drinks. What made it even more uncomfortable was watching other guests openly smoking weed while staff said nothing, yet our group felt watched, accused, and singled out the entire time. As the only Latino group sitting outside, the experience left us feeling unwelcome, uncomfortable, and discriminated against. As a fellow restaurant owner, I understand hospitality and house policies, which is why this treatment was especially disappointing. What should have been a fun birthday celebration turned into a terrible experience, and we ended up leaving early.

Arrived at around 5:30, maybe a bit earlier and the place was maybe 85% - 90% packed. They have outdoor seating right outside and didn't notice until we were walking out, but they have a bunch of tables and chairs along the curb of Eagle Rock Blvd. Drinks are pretty solid and reasonably priced for this "inflated" new norm. Average of $12 - $16 for most drinks. You order everything at the bar - drinks and food. Grab your drinks from the bartenders (all females this night), grab a table and food was be brought to your table when ready. The food was delicious. The fried Cacio e Pepe balls were excellent! Olives were meh - just straight up olives and weren't marinated so something that you can skip. Meatballs is a MUST! Got one of the tomato sauces pasta and was also delicious. No complaints here, but I hate lines so wouldn't be back unless I happen to be in the area around their opening time.

The oysters were also excellent. They were fresh, briny, and exactly what we were hoping for. The tostada was another favorite with great flavor and texture. The only misses for me were the icy crudo and the chicory Caesar salad. The fish in the crudo was fresh, but it was overdressed with too many competing flavors that kept the fish from standing out. The chicory Caesar salad was the biggest disappointment. It was very mint forward and didn't have the classic flavors of a Caesar at all. I don't mind a creative interpretation, but this didn't taste like a Caesar salad whatsoever. Overall, the quality of the seafood was excellent - not sure if I'd come back though due to the inconsistency amongst the meal.
