I really loved the ambiance here! The manager (I believe) was very kind and told us when there was an open seat. It was very busy even on a Monday. However, I was a little disappointed because the lasagna I ordered was very burnt and unevenly cooked which was not very appealing :( I would still come back to try other dishes, as the service was excellent!

Small to midsize bar located in bordering area of Eagle Rock and Glassell Park. From the menu to the space, this place has obvious vintage Italian vibes. The service here has always been friendly on the few occasions I've been here. I've been here both in the late afternoon and later in the evening before closing time and you definitely get a more swanky lounge feel at night. The drinks are well prepared and great representations of classic Italian cocktails with some fun variations. I've gotten a few different type of Negronis, some spritzers, etc. On my most recent visit, I ordered a White Negroni because I was listening to someone talk about it on a podcast and I really wanted to try it. Delicious. I personally haven't had any of the food here yet, but there is a pretty solid of selection from light bar bites to plates of pasta and dessert. Would love to come back and try some food, but just a great place to grab drinks with friends or if you are eating nearby at a different restaurant, this spot is great for pre or post dinner drinks.

The Capri Club in Eagle Rock is easily one of the top bars in LA, and Negroni Week was the perfect excuse to stop in. Walking in, you're immediately struck by the European vintage décor smashed with a 1960s New York City ambiance; intimate, stylish, and effortlessly cool. It's the kind of place that feels both timeless and alive. I started with a classic Negroni, but with a twist: a hint of mezcal that added just the right amount of smoke and depth. For my second round, maybe it was the vibe of the bar, but I switched things up with a tequila Negroni made with ArteNom 1146 Añejo. That drink was pure fire...bold, complex, almost spiritual. Dare I say, Stanley Tucci and Sarah Michelle Gellar would approve. To close out the night, we kept it refined with a Martinez...simple, elegant, and perfectly executed. I'll say it outright: this was probably one of the best Negronis I've ever had. Capri Club nails both the cocktails, atmosphere and exceptional service making it a must for anyone serious about their drinks. Ciao, until we meet again!

This was a really cute small bar that had great female bartenders that was super friendly and super nice so I was a little girl going here. I feel really comfortable and decor was super cute and it was just red everywhere so it's got the dark movie. feel the music was a little bit of a mess for me, and some of the people that are patrons were too drunk for my liking, but it was made the men doing that so if you can just not be near them instead of the bar and enjoy your time you'll love it The food here and the drinks are really, really good. The peace goes sour is a stand out and the little gem Caesar is a must that should be a staple there. I had the Bolognese and that was so good taste so fresh really enjoyed my time here.

Cozy red booths and a really good martini. Feels like a little escape. If you're looking for a cute bar and great vibes-- this is it.

A local hipster spot in Eagle Rock, Silver Lake area of LA which always has very interesting bohemian people and vibe. It's loud but buzzing with good energy, with seating inside or out and was lucky to get a big booth and shared with 3 women who had no seats. Can't say what the food is like as had none, only cocktails but it is a long time Italian restaurant like a pub. Saw very few people eating but it was Saturday night , lots of conversations so not a dead bar at all. Servers were all attractive and attentive, responsive and drinks were very tasty, so good mixology going on here. Loved the red lighting glow, would go back for sure! Had a Negroni, which was well done and took a chance on the mescal based Capri Sour which was wildly different but very flavorful and fun! (Amaretto, red bitter, almond and mescal). Music was upbeat and fun, played through some good old school speakers ! Fun place after work for sure! Relaxed atmosphere but lively crowd. ( Perspective of non local )

5 stars! The vintage signage & tiled floor ignited my curiosity to strike up a conversation with the friendly bartender who told me the story about the old Capri Club, how they were on kitchen nightmares and how new ownership came in and redid the whole place. Well they did a great job, because this place hits all the style notes but the vintage nature is kept in tact like the oak wood elements and original tile to name a few. Menu is on a small page, which I like and has interesting choices interesting. I forget the name of my drink but it was a black pepper gin drink- SO good! Then had a draft on tap. I had the vegan chop & the cacao e pepe appetizer. Salad was okay, on the bitter side. Everything great though. No complaints. The environment is so enjoyable to be in and the staff was on top of it.

I would love to have given this restaurant five stars. I've been super excited to try the drinks and food here for a while now. But unfortunately my husband and I went out for our anniversary, and it was a bit of a letdown when we got there. The place was packed and we could barely find a place to stand. It was also a Monday night. There were people sitting in the booths along the wall maybe a couple or three people in a booth for five or six. They also have three small Bistro type tables against a bank cut in the front and a few small tables outside. There's no wait list to sit down at the bar or any of the tables. It's first come first serve, so you have to stand around like vultures to snag a table once someone stands up. We ordered drinks and hovered around until we asked these people if they were leaving shortly, they were and we are ready to take their spot. But as we went to sit down another couple who just got there pushed their way in and took those seats. Eventually we were able to grab a table, and sit down as it's hard to eat food standing up and holding your drink. Aside from that the drinks were made well, and the snacks were all delicious, the staff was also fairly friendly. For being as busy as it was they were pretty efficient. We ordered almonds and olives as appetizers to stand and eat while we waited it was just awkward to hold everything and try to eat at the same time. Once we sat down we were able to actually order food. It was Monday night so that was a lasagna special. The lasagna was delicious it was a great ratio of meat sauce to cheese to Noodle and we were pleasantly surprised. We also ordered the garlic bread which was perfect. Toasty crunchy garlicky and just all around a great side. Aside from the issue of sitting down everything was great. I also realize this is a bar but they're should be at least a wait list to sit down at the few tables available if you are planning on eating. Or making those tables eating only during peak hours like 7:00 to 9:00.

I would come back just for this pasta alone. The tiramisu was chef's kiss So light, creamy, and the perfect way to end the meal. I lovedddd everything! The garlic bread came out hot and fluffy, but I do wish it had a little more garlic butter. Still yummy though! The chicken parm was good, but I didn't think there was anything super special about the flavor. I'd probably skip it next time and just get more pasta... Also, the decor is SO sweet and charming! Every table had its own little vase of fresh flowers, which was such a cute touch and made the whole place feel cozy and intimate. Overall, such a cute spot with AMAZING pasta. The vodka pasta + tiramisu combo is a MUST!!! Parking is either street or at a near by lot; it wasn't too expensive though!

Came on a Monday as soon as it opened to put down my name since all reservations were booked up…read more Was able to secure a 6:00PM spot! I had heard great things about Donna's so I was ok with waiting. Our server was really nice, she let us know that this was meant to be family-style and that we should order 4-6 dishes for two people. We started off with the meatballs and garlic bread. The meatballs were great, came with a tomato sauce, no complaints here. The waitress had recommended we get the garlic bread to go with the meatballs since they came by themselves. The garlic bread was garlicky indeed, though I found the ends to be pretty hard. I wouldn't recommend it. We also tried their gnocchi and fusilli a la vodka for their pasta. The fusilli was great, I realized it wasn't your typical spicy vodka sauce since it didn't have that kick. It was a pretty light sauce, fusilli was cooked very well. The truffle gnocchi looked really good when we got it. The server said we should mix it up as per the chef and then the dish lost a bit of that good appeal, but it still tasted good! I'm a big fan of gnocchi and no complaints with Donna's. Overall their pastas were pretty good. I was really looking forward to trying their chicken parm. Everyone seems to rave about it so we had to make sure to get it. I thought the breading and everything around the chicken was great, but the chicken itself was pretty rubbery and chewy. I was pretty disappointed since the pasta had given me high hope for their chicken parm. Maybe it was an off night, but I would say that this was pretty disappointing and not worth the hype. To end the night we tried the panna cotta since the server said it was the staff favorite dessert. Again, pretty good, not mind blowing. My favorites were definitely their pastas, the fusilli specifically. Everything else was pretty much not memorable. Was able to find free street parking around the corner, though they also have a paid lot.

Everything from the food to the pacing to the service was exceptional. It was impressive to see how seamlessly the entire staff worked together. Our server, the bussers, sommelier and kitchen seemed completely in sync. Courses arrived with enough time between them to actually enjoy the evening, our glasses were never empty, and someone always seemed to check in at exactly the right moment (never hovering, never leaving us wondering where everyone went). They actually made a mistake with one of our dishes, but even that became part of a great experience. They immediately acknowledged it and offered to make it right. We ended up loving what accidentally arrived and happily kept it. Mistakes happen; how a restaurant handles them says far more about the quality of its hospitality. We were celebrating two birthdays, and somehow the entire staff seemed clued in. From our first greeting through dessert, there was a warmth to the service that made the night feel genuinely special. We even ended up chatting with our server about other favorite restaurants in the area and bonded over our mutual recommendations. Our only problem with Mother Wolf: everything on the menu sounds incredible, so apparently we have to come back multiple times. Tragic. One word of caution unrelated to the restaurant itself: I'd skip the valet. Our keys were left inside our running car for about 15 min while the attendant had his back turned across the street, which made us pretty uncomfortable. There's a lot about a block away where you can park yourself for roughly the same price. Otherwise, absolutely loved our evening here. Incredible food, exceptional hospitality, and a meal you keep talking about afterward. Can't wait to come back--and hit the speakeasy next time!
