April 24, 2026 | Pasadena | After seeing a movie nearby at iPic, my friend, and I walked over to Wanderlust Creamery! Ice cream hit the spot on a beautiful and sunny day!! Kinder | I absolutely love Kinder chocolate, so this was a plus in a rich chocolate, flavorful way! Ube Malted | I'm always up for flavorful Ube; sweet purple yams and was blended with malted milk, so delicious, loved it! Mix It Up | Yum! Since I got two scoops in a small cup, I blended them in the cup until it was nice & smooth! What an absolutely delicious combo! Inside | There are large murals on the wall in beautiful pastel colors displaying travel destinations & scenery! Also travel books and travel themed items around! The destinations that caught my eye were: Thailand & India, both which I've traveled to and loved! Customer Service | Thanks for the samples. Overall | Yes, please! Ice cream is always a great idea, especially when there are often new, unique and flavorful combinations! Let's go!

I just picked up my pizza order from Prince Street Pizza in Old Town Pasadena. I saw Wanderlust Creamery right next door inside Indiana Colony Marketplace. I'm a sucker for ice cream. I had to walk through the front doors. I remember trying durian from Wanderlust at a past event. That's what I was looking for, but they didn't carry it at the time. They offer globally inspired and unique ice creams flavors such as Sticky Rice & Mango, Ube Malted Crunch, Japanese Neapolitan, Sakura Crunch, and more. I got to try a couple free samples, Inis Mor and Sakura Crunch. I will have to return to try their other intriguing flavors. I wanted to get half and half of two flavors for the one scoop, but it was not an option unfortunately. I ended up getting one single scoop of Sakura Crunch for $7.50. It is a cherry blossom ice cream with matcha & strawberry "kit kats". Very light, smooth, and floral in taste. Strawberry kit kats was a nice add-in topping. I found out they make the kit kats in house. Cool! Staff was okay. Service was quick. Portion was decent. Price was fair. Plenty of inside seating shared with the other local, independent food vendors within the marketplace. Parking can be found on the streets or at nearby parking garages. Highly recommend in giving Wanderlust a try if you haven't already. You may find your new favorite ice cream flavor right here at Wanderlust. Enjoy!

I can't believe they've got the Shanghainese White Rabbit flavor . All the red hearts!!!!! So creamy and amazing. The service today was kind of meh the staff was awkward... feeling more like I stopped him from chatting with the staff from pressed juice But guess what, the ice cream is way too great. No time for awkward lol The seat was nice. The environment was pretty nice for a weekday. Highly recommend the new flavor!

I went to Wanderlust Creamery Ice Cream after I had a nice dinner in a nearby restaurant. It was a cold night, but It was really fun to have ice cream. We stopped by Wanderlust Creamery shop. It is located in Old Town Pasadena. The shop has inviting and aesthetic vibes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shop has unique ice cream flavors like; Beurre Noisette cookie dough, ube malted crunch, mango sticky rice, Kinder, sesame cookie, Wanderlust vanilla, Japanese Neapolitan, pandan tres Leches, to mention a few. They also have seasonal flavors as well as vegan options. I ordered tasting trio with Kinder, black sesame cookies and cream, and beurre noisette cookie dough. I enjoyed the flavors I got. It was silky, creamy with perfect texture. I will be back to try more of their unique flavors.

There's something about wandering Old Town on a Friday night that makes dessert feel less optional and more necessary. We stopped by Wanderlust Creamery after dinner, mostly just following the foot traffic and the hum of the evening crowd. I've been to their Atwater location before, so I walked in half expecting that same wide board of rotating flavors. This Pasadena shop felt noticeably more pared down, especially for a weekend night. I went with two scoops of the Ube Malted Crunch. The ube base was smooth and creamy with that mellow, nutty sweetness that doesn't overwhelm. It wasn't overly sugary, which I appreciated after a full meal. The malted crunch pieces added texture without turning it into a jaw workout, just enough crisp contrast to keep each bite interesting. That said, the limited selection was a little surprising. Compared to Atwater, the variety here felt tight, and if you're someone who likes to sample a lot before deciding, your options might feel constrained. Service was quick and efficient. We were in and out without much waiting, even with the Friday night flow. Overall, it's still a solid dessert stop if you're already in Old Town and want something reliable. Just do not come expecting the same breadth of flavors as other locations. It helps to have a backup choice in mind before you get to the counter.

Wanderlust Creamery really knows what they're doing. They are getting it right! Creative, fun, delicious, and innovative flavors! The Pasadena location is inside of a tiny food market hall. The menu is on the smaller side which is great because it isn't overwhelming but there is still something for everyone. I got one scoop of the Japanese Neapolitan flavor which included a blend of matcha, hojicha and black sesame. Though I've had Asian inspired flavors before, I've never had a flavor like this one. The ice cream was incredibly smooth and creamy, and not to sweet. Will be back here for sure to try other flavors like sticky rice + mango and passionfruit cacao.

Review #914 2025-089 Ice Cream Order: Blueberry Elderflower (Scandinavian inspired ice cream: mascarpone ice cream, housemade blueberry jam, elderberry cordial) $5.00 Sakura Crunch (Japanese cherry blossom-infused ice cream, housemade strawberry + uji matcha "kit kats") & Yuzu Creamsicle (yuzu citrus sorbet swirled with milkest vegan ice cream) with Rainbow Sprinkles $8.50 I was first introduced to Wanderlust & met Owner Adrienne Borlongan 7 years ago at Yelp's Baked Alaska DIY (refer to Review #353), sampling 4 flavors: Violet Marshmallow (marshmallow creme ice cream with parma violet, candied violet pieces), Strawberry Spumoni (pistachio ice cream, freckles of Valrhona strawberry inspiration couverture), Ube Malted Crunch (malted milk, sweet purple yams, crunchy malted milk pieces), & Sticky Rice + Mango (housemade rice milk, coconut cream, alphonso mango swirls), & watching Adrienne craft a Baked Alaska with their Palo Santo Candy Cane (ice cream steeped with Palo Santo wood + fresh mint with freckles of 70% Ecuadorian dark chocolate + candy cane bits) as the base. The finished product was gorgeous as it was delish, & I've been a fan ever since! I didn't care for Venice location (refer to Review #511) due to traffic congestion & limited parking, though this Old Town Pasadena isn't that much better being in a food hall & no dedicated parking. There's metered street parking or any of the parking structures that's a short walk. I visit this spot more because it's more convenient when I'm in the area visiting my brother. Wanderlust came to fruition & inspired from Adrienne's travels, & the flavors are reflected as such. I hit the jackpot with the Blueberry Elderflower, Sakura Crunch, & Yuzu Creamsicle! My husband is Swedish so Blueberry Elderfloweer really hits the spot & reminds me of our travels to Sweden... with sweet, rich mascarpone ice cream that's perfectly balanced with blueberry jam & enhanced by the elderberry cordial that's adds depth of rich fruitiness & tartness. Sakura Crunch & Yuzu Creamsicle are Japan-inspired flavors & ordered a double. Both were absolutely delish that I can't help deciding which was best. The cherry blossom ice cream was mildly tinted with a delicate floral flavor with sweet strawberry that's offset by a creamy, bitter, rich tea taste. The yuzu citrus sorbet was sweet, tangy, & refreshing, yet so creamy for a sorbet. Prices: Single $5.00 Split Single +50¢ Tasting Trio $6.50 Double $7.50 Pint $13.00 Cone $1.00 ea. Toppings $1.00 ea. Price points are higher than your typical ice cream shops, but for their innovativeness & quality, it's almost worth it, but I can't say it's worth the 1+ hr. drive. The server was friendly & patient while I sample a few flavors before deciding on our order. I love Wanderlust Creamery most for their Asian-inspired ice cream flavors! If you're looking for creative & quality ice cream, wander over to satisfy your sweet tooth... you'll be glad you did. Highly Recommended: Blueberry Elderflower, Sakura Crunch, & Yuzu Creamsicle!

Came here on a Saturday night while walking around trying to find some dessert to have. My group wanted to try this place and it was packed inside. Luckily, there was a kiosk where you can order what you'd like, but it was in a very weird spot off to the side. The kiosk was placed in the same area as where the regular line was set up. It also blocked an area where people can sit and enjoy their ice cream. The kiosk had their clothing merchandise say were sold out, but it allowed you to order a single, double, or triple scoop of ice cream and customize it to your liking (cone, cup, etc.). You can also wait in the regular line to get the ice cream order. I didn't order anything because I didn't see anything that I wanted and some of the flavors had items I could have a reaction to. I thought there would be some traditional flavors, but I didn't know much about this ice cream store except I overheard my friend say it's a Filipino inspired menu. There were some very unique flavors, ube, some passion fruit flavored items, some sort of tres leches, etc. There were some seating areas along the front window side (which looked like an old display window from an old clothing store). In the back had some seats as well, but we didn't go too far back. My friends enjoyed the ice cream and we all had a great time.

The one on the right cost more and is considered 3 scoops. It didn't even fill the cup. These people are just ripping people off!

Total ripoff. I asked for 3 scoops. My friend asked for 2 scoops. Somehow I ended up with less. The guy even gave me a hollowed out scoop that was barely a scoop! So basically it was about one and a half scoops. Overpriced ripoff. Update: my exact words were "three scoops". I did NOT ask for a trio. I asked for three scoops.

I liked the ube malted crunch, pandan tres leches, and black sesame. Based on pricing, the single just doesn't seem as economical as the trio so I would get a trio and share with another person. Plus, you can enjoy more flavors that way. The pandan was my favorite as it had a very subtle and distinctly sweet pandan flavor. The ube could have had more crunchies, but still good ube flavor and it makes sense why it is so popular. Service was quick, and it was empty when we came on opening day on a weekend.

I came here after date night with my boyfriend for dessert, and this ice cream shop did not disappoint. They have such unique flavors, and they let you sample, which is great for trying what you're interested in. We sampled both the Thai mango sticky rice and the pandan tres leches. The Thai mango sticky rice is dairy-free and made with coconut cream--it was light, delicious, and not too sweet. The pandan tres leches was nice and creamy, sweeter than the mango sticky rice, and so rich in flavor. We ended up getting both flavors to go and loved them. The service was great as well; the staff was friendly, and there are spots to sit inside. It also seemed like a nice place to hang out, with people doing homework on their laptops. Would definitely come back and recommend!

My friend highly recommended trying Wanderlust Creamery since they have many unique ice cream flavors. The staff was very patient and allowed us to sample multiple flavors. I got the Japanese Neopolitan (matcha, hojicha, and Hokkaido milk) and Shining Hour (milky grape ramune hwaechae). I loved the Japanese Neopolitan as this was a unique combination flavor for ice cream and you can taste all 3 flavors of matcha, hojicha, and Hokkaido milk. Had a creamy flavor to it as well and it didn't feel like one flavor overpowered the others. The Shining Hour had a strong grape flavor but not the artificial flavor. Tasted like a grape flavored fruit drink and it had bits of ramune and grape in the ice cream. 10/10 recommend!

I've been a long time fan of Wanderlust but came back recently with some friends from out of town. I always love trying their seasonal flavors! What I got: - Seoul Banoffee Pie (4/5) - it has a VERY strong banana flavor. The other flavors like hojicha were much less apparent, but i still really enjoyed this flavor! I would probably want to try others next time though. - Sugar Plum Dairy Fairy (5/5) - i love a good TART plum! The swirled tart plum jam was just enough with the custard ice. Definitely my favorite and i'll be sad when this one rotates out :( It's always a good time at wanderlust and I love that they have new flavors all the time so repeat customers like me continue to enjoy.

Ube malted crunch without the crunch anymore for some reason. very sad

I ordered the Sesame Halva which is their vegan ice cream made of Halva ice cream with sesame & coconut. OMG, I've never tasted anything like this before. I love anything that has a sesame profile. If you like that nutty, sweet, and earthy flavor this one is for you. I could taste the coconut, but it wasn't overpowering. There were also little chunks of halva in there that added a slight bit of sweetness. The texture was similar to cookie dough, but softer. Aside from the taste, I loved the simple presentation of the small rose on top of the scoop. It made it look elegant. As you can tell, I am definitely coming back and highly recommend stopping by.

The Bronte Sisters. The Jacksons... You win free ice cream on me if you recognize the pattern. Yes, that's right: these are all siblings who have seamlessly worked together in their respective fields. I raise the list to include Mia and Mark Pedersen - the brother and sister team behind the ice creamery Moo Moo Mia with locations in both Montrose and Monrovia. You won't find Mia and Mark bickering or partaking in sibling rivalry; but you WILL find them creating quality, home made ice cream for Angelinos. Mark and Mia made their way from Denmark to Los Angeles in 2009 initially working in a Danish franchise despite both having a background in ice cream-making. When Covid hit in 2020 with its path of destruction to so many businesses; Mark and Mia decided they should cut their losses and create their own company that they can rely on their decision-making and thus Moo Moo Mia was born. Moo Moo Mia strives to produce Grade-A ice cream using crème de la crème ingredients such as milk from Scott Brother Dairy cows (another sibling company where cows roam free on 900 acres and are hormone free producing sensational milk) and offer unique flavor combinations. After a recent poor gelato experience at another LA business; my boyfriend and I decided to reward ourselves with ice cream from Moo Moo Mia on Honolulu in Montrose (this was our second time at this location). Nestled in the charming central Montrose corridor; Moo Moo Mia welcomes with a pastel color wheel façade/signage and a small square footage ice cream shop. When I say 'small'; I genuinely mean small as Moo Moo Mia is tiny with a display case/order counter and a claustrophobic standing room space with a few loose tables outside. This is definitely an "order and get out" establishment. Due to this congestion, Moo Moo Mia felt a bit hectic on both of our visits which always makes one feel guilty to ask for samples in order to not hold up the line. The flavor options at Moo Moo Mia aren't super extensive (there isn't that much to choose from) BUT there do have those unique combinations Mia and Mark boast of with pride. I have sampled a few flavors at Moo Moo Mia such as Honey Lavender (Sweet cream ice cream layered with delicate ribbons of lavender and finished with a touch of raw organic honey - so good with perfect lavender notes!), March flavor of ice cream with Luck Charms marshmallows and Sweet Taro. On our second visit, my boyfriend kept it simple with a single cone ($5.50) of Madagascar Vanilla Bean (Made with imported ground Madagascar vanilla beans) and a kid's cup ($4.25) of March's monthly flavor Coconut Ube for me. Mark and Mia aren't exaggerating about Moo Moo Mia's ice cream as it truly is quite good: creamy, thick and not overly sweet; the texture is perfection. The Honey Lavender holds my heart but the Coconut Ube was also delicious although it tasted of 95% ube with a small 5% after taste of coconut water. Good thing I like Ube! My boyfriend's vanilla was, in his words, "The best vanilla!" and I agree that Moo Moo Mia truly elevates a basic flavor making it extra special. The consensus is that the ice cream is wonderful, no doubt. The customer service at Moo Moo Mia leaves a lot to be desired, however. During both visits the associates were very dry, somewhat curt - although not rude, per se - and are literally only there to get the job done and that's it. Even though this isn't too terrible; it prevents Moo Moo Mia from being a perfect experience. Moo Moo Mia is a delicious and quality option for an ice cream treat that you can truly taste but the lack of numerous flavor options, the teen-tiny shop and the customer service are flaws that keep it from being exceptional. Despite this, Moo Moo Mia is recommended for all ice cream lovers - whether you have a sibling or not!

I have ALWAYS wanted to try Salt & Straw for the longest time because I've heard rave reviews, but…read morethere are no nearby locations where I live! However, when I spotted this store as I was walking around the area, I had to go. Inside, there were two employees, and fortunately, it was not crowded on a Monday afternoon, so I was helped immediately. I sampled three flavors: Hong Kong Milk Tea with Toasted White Chocolate, Jasmine Milk Tea Almond Stracciatella, and Honey Lavender. Hong Kong Milk Tea with Toasted White Chocolate: This was a special flavor. I LOVE Hong Kong Milk Tea, so I was really excited to try this one. However, I thought the tea flavor was way too strong, and I usually love a strong tea flavor. I really loved the textural element of the toasted white chocolate though. Jasmine Milk Tea Almond Stracciatella: Another special flavor. I also love Jasmine Milk Tea, LOL, so I had to try this as well. Honestly... this had the opposite problem of the Hong Kong Milk Tea ice cream: I could barely taste the jasmine tea flavor! Maybe the almond stracciatella masked the jasmine flavor? In my opinion, jasmine + chocolate don't go well together. Honey Lavender: This is one of their classic flavors, and it was easily the best flavor out of all of them. Incredible balance of honey and lavender!! Loved how floral the lavender flavor was, as if there is too much lavender, it can taste soapy. Luckily, that was not the case. It was so good as the flavors were on-point, it was creamy, and had a perfect amount of sweetness. It's a classic for a reason! I ended up getting a single scoop of the Honey Lavender which came out to $6.95. Honestly, pricey for a single scoop, but the flavor made up for it at least. Still, I don't think I'd go out of my way to go to Salt & Straw because it is pricey. If I am ever nearby, though, I'd probably visit again. They have really unique flavors during their monthly special, but I just hope that they execute them well the next time I visit. If not, the classics are there for a reason, and I'd be interested in trying them as well.

I ended up finding out about it because of a recent visit so I went back for more flavors…read more I ordered a pint of their delicious Banana ice cream! I think I'm hooked by the way! And I also ordered a Coffee Milkshake. I wished I had asked for additional flavors because I was told you could mix at least 2. Then again, it may depend on the counter person. I was so enthused by the availability of parking spots within the shopping center that I decided to walk around the area! Oh, they have a Target there, too! I'll definitely bring my friends back in the next couple of weekends so we can hang out and enjoy the environment around us.

Got here in the evening. Parking appears limited where I was parked, but I know there are more parking at the town center. Anyway, I got lucky with a close parking spot. No inside seating. Just a couple tables and chairs outside. They weren't super busy at the time. I was the only person in line. This is my 2nd time trying Bruster's. My first time was at their Rancho Cucamonga location. Nick, the staff member who helped me, was very nice and helpful. I asked for recommendations on their best flavors. He graciously offered them. Thank you Nick! I got to sample a handful of flavors... Boston Cream Pie, Sea Salt Caramel, Death By Chocolate, Caramel Macchiato, and Cinnamon. Thanks for the samples! All the flavors were very good except for the Cinnamon which I thought was very light in taste. Since I was driving, I chose an ice cream shake instead of a cup or cone. Caramel Macchiato was my pick! It had a really nice caramel flavor with coffee bean bits. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't pile up the ice cream to the top of the lid. It stopped at the top of the cup. I felt I was shorted some ice cream unfortunately. Hence, 4 stars! Nevertheless, Nick was amazing. His service was fantastic. Wonderful conversation and experience. Ice cream shake was yummy. It was finished before I arrived home. YES, I will come back to try their other unique flavors! Thank you Bruster's!
