    General Tso's lunch combo
    Steven B.

I got the general tso's lunch combo, which I am fairly boring and tend to get this almost every time I get a craving for Chinese food (I don't think I am alone on that). The chicken is tasteful with a nice crisp, but mild in spice. The fried rice was ok, just a little dry. I love that they give fried noodles and duck sauce along with the egg roll. They only do takeout at this time, so no comment on ambiance. The service was friendly and food was ready when they said it would be done.

The food here is excellent! We ordered take out so I can't comment on ambiance, but the service was friendly! Boba in the tea was warm and soft, so those were delicious, and the sauce in my tofu and beoci was much more sweet and tangy than I was expecting, but it turned out to be a plus- would definitely recommend!

Great Chinese food! Loved the fresh broccoli and garlic sauce. Egg drop soup was hot and delicious, highly recommend. Only bummer is the only option is takeout.

    Overcooked or left over broccoli

I ordered beef with broccoli and egg roll, lunch special. I got the wonton soup and beef with bitter broccoli. I found out the broccoli might be left over. See the picture attached.

I have mixed feelings about Wang. I have had great experiences as well as mediocre ones. Overall, I believe their food is outstanding. They offer lot of variety of authentic Chinese food. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you make good food choices. My new favorite featured item is the beef pad Thai. Food portions are generous, even enough to share. Their food is a bit overpriced compared to other local Chinese restaurants. Most recently my wife and I went to Wang for dinner. Only couple at the restaurant, and a handful of takeouts. The main course took a while to come out. Being the only ones at the restaurants we thought it would come out quicker. After we were done eating dinner and plates cleared, it took about 10 minutes to get our check. Everyone had gone to the kitchen so we were unable to ask the server for our check. Living within a 5 minutes drive, my wife and I order here often. Last time we ordered take out we didn't get the crispy noodles. My wife also ordered the beer and broccoli. It was not beef, they might have switched it out for pork and broccoli. Overall, it's a hit or miss. Due to the close proximity we will continue to come often.

Wang is probably the best Chinese food option in the area but if I'm up for the drive, I typically frequent out of town.

One of my favorite Chinese places in the area. The prices may be a bit much, but the quality of the food definitely makes up for it. :)

Great Wall is our go to Chinese place in Middletown. They are so nice and their food is great!…read more Our usual go to items are some combination of the following: sesame chicken (ask for it extra spicy!), pork lo mein, pan fried dumplings, fried wontons, bbq spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken, and garlic chicken. And of course, egg rolls! The spare ribs can be hit or miss if you get good pieces or fatty pieces. The sesame chicken is my absolute favorite, it's always crispy and the sauce is always good...hit or miss how spicy they get it, but I do love it when it's very spicy!! My husband loves to get the bbq rib and chicken fingers combo (chicken fingers are basically the same as sweet and sour chicken). Pro tip: If you order this, they don't automatically give you the red sweet and sour sauce for the chicken, so be sure to ask for the sauce when placing your order! I can't speak to the other items on the menu, as we usually get 2-3 of our favorites whenever we go. But the food is always fresh and hot, and they're very accommodating of special requests. I see now that they have online ordering, but we haven't tried it yet. This is definitely the best Chinese food in Middletown!

Pint of chicken chow mein. Flavorless and veggies were cut too large. Would never order this again.

S4. Orange chicken. This is in the chef special section so it only comes in large size. Crispy chicken, broccoli under it. A little spicy.

Pint of shrimp with snow peas. Shrimp seemed to have some sort of coating. Was in brown sauce which was odd. Good mix of veggies though.
