Bourbon chicken had like 6 big pieces and the rest was super small pieces they just had it sitting on top of the rice where you think you had a good amount of meat. They could have been a lot more moist then what it was I'll give it a 7/10 Next was the sesame chicken which was way too sweet they had the rice soaked with the sesame sauce. This place has gone downhill big time. We have been loyal customers for over 20 years and we will not be back because of the rude management. I placed an order on line and made an error that I didn't notice until the order went through. My confirmation number stated the order would be ready in 20 mins. I called them within 2 minutes of the order to ask if I could please cancel the chicken with beans order and replace it with shrimp and beans. The man that answered said ok what do you need? I told him and he said don't worry, I see the order. Then he told me too late its already done. I stated " are you serious? I ordered this at 8:58 pm and its 9:00 pm now. I told him I would have to pick the chicken out. He told me to pay to add Shrimp and make it a chicken and shrimp dish. I felt annoyed. Went to get the order and my husband told the woman who waited on him that we aren't happy with your online order site because its hard to view what we are selecting. Her reply was "your fault" and next time call it in. Okay, I did pick the chicken out of the meal and ate the rice. This place is always my go to for Chinese takeout. I have been ordering with them for over 10 years. Just the way they make boneless spareribs is just how I like it. Just enough sauce. A bit or char and no fat. At least none that I can decipher! But sadly I didn't get that today. Delivery was prompt and took 30-40 minutes from the time of order. The sugar doughnut was fluffy and the sugar added the right amount of sweetness. The crab Rangoon was just how I remember it. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. This is just one of the many chinese take-out restaurants in Wethersfield that just seems like it's been here forever because I have lived in this town my entire life and every chinese restaurant I have known over here just fails to close down. This was the first time I have had food from here after all these years even though my friends get take-out from here all the time. Now I know why they keep coming back. It's solid. I had a nice and simple Shrimp w/broccoli. They didn't overcook anything. The shrimp was meaty and I never felt like they shorted me out with it, the broccoli still had a nice crunch and the sauce was in no way overpowering the original flavors of the ingredients which A LOT of chinese take-out restaurants tend to do. My friends approving their meals as well after they've came here so many times is enough to prove their consistency. Everyone was nice, took a second to get acknowledged upon walking up to the counter but the food came out quickly enough for me to not care. I would definitely get take-out from here again! My wife and I regularly order from wang's but have recently slowed down quite a bit. The quality has been going down over the years and this last order was likely my last. I ordered the boneless bbq ribs dinner combo with pork fried rice and my wife ordered the general tso with white rice. I also got the beef sticks from the apps menu. First issue, I received my food about an hour and fifteen minutes from the time I ordered it, mind you I live a quarter mile away from their location. The second issue I had was the beef on a stick, it was cold and dry. Really hard to eat. My third, and biggest, issue was the boneless ribs... so burnt they were barely edible.. dry and tasteless. I had to get a big glass of water just to eat part of it. Luckily the rice was decent or I'd have gone hungry. TLDR: I'll be looking for another place to order from, unfortunately. read more

Its a Chinese food place in Wethersfield Connecticut! I had to drive over the Putnam bridge to get there! They call that route 3! It uses that same Chinese menu you see at all the other Chinese restaurants! So you dont really need a menu if you know what you are in the mood for. You can get a Hawaii Five O, a combination of shrimp, pork, chicken, beef in a brown sauce, alas NOT served in a bird's nest of fried noodles. Can't be too rough on em' for that, not seeing a lot of noodle bird nests around. The Singapore Mei Fun rice noodles were standard issue. Which also isn't really a bad thing, just kinda...... typical. Perky but typical. The most orange tinted fried rice I ever did see. Was also...A-Ok. Boneless ribs were different. Not sauce wise, that was...the usual, but the ribs themselves were put through a shredder of some sort and were thus... boneless rib...shavings? In most other locations they are one inch chewy chunks, here.........dot dot dot, just weird. Tasty, but weird. Friendly happy phone person, took the order with the utmost efficiency. The crew behind the scenes sizzled the woks, and stuffed stuff in bags, , and took maybe ten minutes to have the whole thing ready to go. We like that. So, go there? Absolutely. Its across the river. Went in for my lunch break. The lunch specials are a great deal. The food is pretty good. The location is right next to a popular pawn shop that has all types of people lurking around. I had a strange homeless type guy staring at me through the window while i was eating. Then of course asked for money when I walked out. Ordered takeout at the location in Rocky Hill on Saturday, September 5th. I ordered Wonton soup, egg role and fried rice. The Vegetable fried rice was not edible. It was thrown together and had so much scrambled eggs And barely any vegetables and zero taste. The rice was barely flavored. I will not order from this location again. Will stick with Ming Dynasty. This was better than most Chinese establishments in the greater Hartford area. And to think we have driven by this place a million times, thinking surely it couldn't be good (in a mini strip mall next to a pawn shop of all things!) I sincerely thank my friend Erika for being the brave one and turning us onto this place! We got takeout the very next day....and quite an amount of food we got, and the prices were so super reasonable! The best thing is most items come in a small size or large size! They also have combo platters for dinner that must've weighed almost 10 lbs just for the meat, veg and fried rice, not to mention the included egg roll that comes in a sep. baggy! Overall, great Chinese takeout. It's been many years since I have found a decent place to get it....but in doing so, I've also discovered that my tastes have changed a bit in the world of Asian Cooking.....I am now much more of a Thai food lover, than a lover of Chinese.....Not sure why, I think it is the variety of exotic spices and the overall freshness of ingredients.... My boyfriend& I ordered a couple entrees for uber eats pickup, when i was notified the order was ready we went to pick it up & the restaurant was a mess. The lady in front kept yelling at us that she didn't know what order we were talking about, there were so many other people in the restaurant and the staff just seemed confused. The men in the kitchen were screaming for no reason& they didn't even START our order until 15 minutes after we arrived, and we had gotten a notification that it was ready at least 5 minutes prior. Wang's Kitchen. I felt compelled to give it a try. The place was immaculate for starters and this is not common for places like this. Already I felt good about my decision. The counter was lined with with to-go orders, must have been at least 12-14 orders ready for pick up AND DELIVERY!! I don't know who's more efficient, the post office or Chinese takeout places. Anyway, I had looked over their HUGE menu and decided to go with old faithful, General Tso's combo meal with a pint of steamed veggies. I subbed the pork fried rice for veggie fried rice. I just don't like the pork in general. The combo came with an egg roll or wonton soup... I went for the egg roll. Generally, when I'm trying a place for the first time, I go with this dish because I can tell a lot about whether or not I will like them. I placed my order with the friendly woman at the counter and got those two magic words "TEN MINUTES!" I sat around at one of the tables and read the Advocate as my order was being prepared. The phone never stopped ringing and the people continued to pour in and place orders. Believe it or not, I got my order as promised. The egg roll was bigger than normal and very fresh tasting and not greasy at all. The General Tso's may have been the best that I've ever had. One General Tso's chicken lasted me 3 meals! And I'm no picky eater! The prices are very competitive for the area, and the food itself is actually quite good. Criticisms: My pork fried rice was about 90% rice and 10% pork. The delivery took waaaaaaay to long. After an hour passed I called back, and was told the driver was on the way. 15 minutes later he showed up. I literally live down the street from these guys, there's no excuse for this. If you're not in a hurry, this place will satisfy that self-destructive desire for takeout Chinese for days. read more

I usually order take out from Ming Moon in Wethersfield but some suggested this place to me so decided to give it a try. On a Sunday evening I placed an ordered for delivery. They said it would be about 40 minutes, a tad long but ok. Well 40 mins came and went, but no food yet. After about 70 minutes I called. The guy remembered me and said it would be right there. Another 15 minutes past and no food. I called again, this time a lady answered and said 2 mins...and finally 5 minutes later the food arrived. I am pretty sure the delivery guy was the same guy I talked to when I called. So I believe they forgot about my order....In total it took over an hour and half for my food to arrive. That is unacceptable! Now onto the actual food: We ordered the egg drop soup (which was cold), chicken and broccoli with brown rice, spring rolls, and steamed dumplings. Love this place. Pricing is just right. You're going to pay 10 dollars and easily have leftovers for yourself. The customer service was very good as well. I was the only guy in the restaurant at the time and was having a nice conversation with the front desk employee.
