We've been ordering from Wang's Kitchen for delivery since we moved here in 2005. It has always been very good with rarely an issue. The last couple of times it appears they're slipping up and we're wondering why. Recently our delivered order came without any condiments and missing the fortune cookies. Ok, I suppose that happens. Last evening our delivered order, which included a soup, was missing the crispy noodles, and our pork lo mein actually had a five or six 1 1/2'' bones in it! That has never happened! So, I'm wondering why the dip in quality and service. We'd been ordering from them for so long, I'd hate to have to find a new place. Hope they read these recent reviews. read more

I go here a lot for a last minute meals after work. General Taos is not that great the meat is chewy and over breaded. I usually get steamed broccoli and chicken with garlic sauce on the side. They are skimpy on the chicken but it is very good! Service is quick and I have never had an order messed up. I do recommend for last minute food options. read more

Having worked in a a very high-end asian bistro, I can assure you that this is not gourmet chinese. What I can tell you is that its worth the drive from West Hartford to get there, as I've yet to find better chinese take-out in the area. The $9 that I spent at Wang's on dinner got me a huge portion (2 meals for a male) of General Tso's (which I requested extra spicy), white rice, and a hot-n-sour soup. To be fair I tried this not only once, but twice to make sure I hadn't gotten a dud meal. The rice and lo mein are terribly bland. I ordered light onions and it came with chunks of onions. Boneless spare ribs were dry and the chicken wings I ordered hadn't seen a fryer since yesterday. My brother pointed out that I was the 5th order of the day so it only leaves me to believe that they were reheated. Egg roll was ok. Worse part customer service is terrible barely greeted me when I came and picked the food. Asked me what I ordered and charged my card and left it on the counter and walked away. I had to wave him down for a pen to sign the receipt. Never again will I go here. We tried Wang's for the first time today and will definitely be going back. I had General Tsou's tofu w/ Broccoli, Buddha's delight, and a vegetable egg roll. My boyfriend had Tangerine Beef, Shrimp fried rice, and an egg roll. We both loved the food. Everything was cooked to perfection! I like Chinese food, but find it hard to find vegetarian options, and this place hit the spot! The exterior of the restaurant is bland, but the interior is quite the opposite!. We've ordered from Wang's Kitchen for a few years but found out recently how inconsiderate and rude the manager is when we tried to discuss a situation in which he only accepts cash for delivery. At one point he asked our family member to "go back inside and find cash"rather than accept $2.00 in change. Really excellent Chinese food-- they have an extensive menu, items are reasonably priced, and they even offer alcoholic beverages, unlike most Chinese restaurants. I have loved everything I have ordered, except for the sweet and sour chicken, which contained small pieces of fried chicken that were just too greasy. I ordered two entries from Wang's in the quart size. They looked small so I measured an empty container by pouring in water. At the overflow point, it only measured 3 1/3 cups. Also, although my order was over $30 they gave me only one small bag of Chinese noodles and 3 fortune cookies. I used to think Wang's stood out, but this order had a generic American Chinese food taste. Except for the rice, their pork fried rice had only a paltry amount of pork and other ingredients, Sorry to say it, but Wang's is slipping. read more
