I dream about the Italian beef egg rolls anytime I pass through Wheaton, but today they seemed different and just not as good. Also, the Brussels sprouts dish sounds delicious, but was just meh. I hope whatever was bland about the egg rolls gets fixed because they used to be amazing. Also, fyi, they are passing along the credit card fee to customers now. read more

I ordered the butter burger, it was boring, no flavor and needed salt. My mom ordered a barbecue pulled pork sandwich and that was very sweet. We also got a side of coleslaw which was heavily seasoned with mayonnaise and vinegar. We had the pretzel with cheese and bbq wings for appetizers. The cheese was very watery and the chicken wings were undercooked, even after I asked for them to be crispy. The buns are really thick and little dry. The fries were great. Warren's has been a staples of ours for 10+ years. We dine in, carry out, and have had private events in the back room. Just ate here today after the "reboot". Hopefully this is a transitional issue, but the menu is only 1/3rd as broad and key items have been removed in lieu of odd choices. The only beef entree is a short rib. No steak at all? How is this a "bar" and you removed buffalo wings and nachos? Items we ate today were mid at best. Worried that this issue is systemic. Stay tuned. read more

This is hard since we've been going here for years since the place opened, something has changed for the worse and I'll start with bad management. Eating there tonight: the host stand is in disarray, the server covering our table was absent for the most part, drinks were average and over iced, the food was good - burger and fish tacos, asked the server for the salad ahead of the meal and it was served with my burger. Asked for a 2nd round of drinks and some extra onion ring sauce, drinks arrived 15 minutes later and the extra sauce never arrived. Service was disappointing. The whole experience was so off and different bad from years of being one of our go to consistently good restaurants, sorry Warrens we won't be back, the experience wasn't worth the price point. read more

Ate at Warren's yesterday for dinner with my mom and my niece. Had a very pleasant experience. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with the beer list. I am vegan and I ordered their impossible burger. It is not an actual impossible burger, FYI! They make the hamburger patty themselves and it is primarily made with beets. Let me tell you, this sandwich was absolutely delicious! I will 100% be coming back and bringing more of my vegan friends! I am literally dreaming of eating it again! No. Just, no. The quality of food has significantly decreased since we moved to Wheaton 7 years ago and we regret ordering takeout every time. My husband and I both ordered the shrimp salad. It arrived not only dressed, but completely OVER dressed. So much so that I only ate about half of it and had to throw the rest away. It was doused in dressing AND came with dressing on the side. Why? Mine had 4 and a half shrimps in it. Yes, 4 and a HALF. The whole shrimps had tails on, which was just super annoying. The half shrimp seemed like an afterthought. Booked the private event room for a Saturday night 50th birthday party for about 45 people. Leading up to the event, working with Colleen was great. She was responsive to emails and even took the time to meet me in person a week before to discuss final details. There were plenty of food options on the private event menu, and I was able to get into the space 2 hours ahead of time on party day to decorate. Colleen was there that night and checked in multiple times to make sure everything was going smoothly. Our servers, Brandon and Carmen, were also phenomenal. They both offered to help with my boxes and decorations before the event started, and they kept a close eye on us so that no one was without a beverage. All the food I ordered was delicious -- Caprese Stack, Italian Beef Eggrolls, Roasted Veggie Quesadillas, Margherita Flatbread, BBQ Chicken Flatbread, Fruit Platter, Steak Burger Sliders, and Buffalo Chicken Sliders. Food and service is always good! Tuesday night is trivia night and a good time out with friends or family.

A group of friends and I came on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of seating & our server was engaging. While the whiskey and beer menu was quite impressive, we quickly became disappointed when each option we chose, we were told, was not available. Either it was sold out or the new inventory hadn't come in. The happened so many times that the sever actually comped two of our friends drinks--which was very kind. Perhaps to avoid this in the future, Warren's Ale could update their menus to reflect what is available. read more

We had a really nice lunch here recently - it was my first time here. We wanted to be seated outside on a beautiful day but they sat us on the side of the restaurant instead of in their cute patio which was a little odd but we didn't mind too much. I started with a bloody and it was very tasty, nothing out of the ordinary. We also did the Cajun shrimp and they were delicious - best part of our meal. My mom did a salad which was tasty but again, nothing overly special. I tried their ramen which had all the right ingredients but unfortunately was lacking on flavor. They had lots of other vegetarian and pescatarian options so next time I will try something else. read more

Italian beef egg roles are not super flavorful, although they are nicely crispy. Burger with bacon, pork belly, goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette was similarly flavorless. Balsamic was good and added nice flavor but there wasn't enough of it. The meat was greasy and pretty bland. Beer selection is good but I won't be coming back here to eat. ***Rating reduced from three stars to one star for the apparent food poisoning from eating here. So good! Such a diverse menu not typical of a sports bar. Everything I tried was amazing! The truffle fries are to die for! It's definitely worth the $2.50 up charge added to your bill. For appetizers I had the pierogis and the Italian beef egg roll. Very unique menu items and they were delicious! I wish the pierogi appetizer was one pierogi bigger. I also had the carnitas tacos. I love the filling inside the tacos and the dressing on the lettuce. For the meals, the portion size was excellent. I had what they claim as #thebestlongisland to drink. It was $10 but tasted great. I very rarely get a well made Long Island. The restaurant is big and there are plenty of tv screens. Great to come here for a meal or to drink and watch the game! read more

My husband and I had looked at the menu before going to Warren's Ale House. My husband is vegetarian, but I showed him the Southwest Salad. We both ordered the salad (mine with chicken), and we said immediately that this would get us to eat salad as an entree! The pretzel with cheese sauce was very good as well. We had passed this restaurant for almost 10 years before finally trying it, and we will definitely be going back...a lot sooner than 10 years! read more

I gave the bartender a $100 bill to pay for my tab. After trying for several minutes to get the bartender's attention she finally came over. I told her I was missing $20. She said "sorry, I was thrown off when I was counting twenties." She never opened the register--however she took a $20 that was sitting ON THE SIDE of the cash register and gave it to me. I think she was hoping I wouldn't catch it--and when I would leave she would've pocketed the $20. I will never return. read more

Delish! Fast and friendly service! Food was out within 10 minutes of ordering. Granted it was a weeknight but during the busy dinner rush. Based on Yelp reviews, I ordered the Italian Beef Egg Rolls and the Soup of the Day, Chicken Tortilla. The egg rolls lived up to the hype. Hot and fresh out of the fryer, great kick from the giardiniera. The soup had good flavor and was comforting on a cold, rainy night. My friend ordered the Warren's Ribeye. That sandwich is large and in charge. She upgraded the side from fries to the Bacon Mac & Cheese (+$2.50). It looked so so good. You know it's legit when you see them struggle with the strings of melted cheese. She polished off the Mac & Cheese and got through half of the sandwich before calling it quits. read more

We were here recently for an Ugly Christmas party a friend was hosting. I was the crazy crafty-wannabe lady that made shirts for both my husband and myself. Yeah, if I'm gonna go to one of these things, I gotta bring my A-game, right? Our large group was seated at a long table that extended from the entrance area back to the kitchen. These set-ups are not my favorite because you can't talk to anyone but who you are sitting next to. With that being said, there was plenty of space around one of the long sides of the table, so we were playing a bit of musical chairs to Grateful Dead (I'll explain later) throughout the night so we could mix up the company. Our server was a tall gentleman that was obviously a seasoned veteran of the establishment. Having never been here before, I definitely gave him a run for his money. I asked a lot of questions, requested his opinion and was my usual pain the ass. Shame on me for forgetting his name, but he was very good for serving our large group of around 20 and I think he had another table as well. We needed to eat before the fluids started flowing, so we picked out a few apps that sounded good and we were on our way. Ok, lets get started.... The Bavarian pretzel was delicious, but $6 for one soft pretzel was a little high on pricing but it was excellent. The Italian Beef egg rolls were amazeballs! Innovative + YUMMMMMMY!! I could go back for those alone. I was really excited to try their Bacon Mac & Cheese and found it to be very good. My hubby thoroughly enjoyed his burger and tore through it like it was his job! Their specialty drinks were excellent!! A few of us ladies tried a special cocktail that reminded me a lot of a winter/holiday sangria type beverage with sliced apples, a cinnamon stick and booze that snuck up on you after the second one! And you better believe I used my fork to dig out those apples that had been soaking in booze for a half hour! They had a Grateful Dead tribute band come in a little later in the evening that totally changed the whole atmosphere which was fun! Overall, it was a great night! I am open to returning to get a second opinion generate and I know several friends frequent, so I'm sure I'll be back again another time. read more

If you have a taste for a delicious veal brat or a savory grilled cheese try this place. I got the veal bratwurst sandwich which comes with grilled onions & mustard on a toasted french roll. I paired that with a Spiteful Mrs. O'Leary's Chocolate Stout. I got fries but you can slso get soup or salad with your meal. Perfectly made meal. My wife got the Trainwreck grilled cheese sandwich which had double-smoked bacon, carmelized onions, fontina, cheddar & provolone on buttered sour dough bread and a side of slaw. She LOVED it. I went here for ah.. um.. "meeting' with my co-workers. None of us had gotten lunch so we ordered some food and sat on the patio to enjoy the perfect weather. I saw they had a pulled pork sandwich and I'm always up for one of those. I asked the server if the pork was fat and she promised it wasn't. She said she's eaten it a few times and never had a problem. She wasn't lying. I order the sandwich and it was great. Unfortunately because I seriously was working I couldn't wash it down with a beer, but I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch nonetheless. The place is big and has plenty of seating choices from the bar to the patio to an open room and a more private room. It's definitely a place I want to come back to so I can get the beer I missed at that lunch. TIP: The parking in the square is frustrating. You can only go one way (like a roundabout) so if you miss an opportunity to get a parking spot, good luck making it back to the spot before someone else gets it. So don't bother with the square. Go around the back of the bar and there is PLENTY of spaces. AND they have an entrance in the back (that actually seems like the main entrance.) read more

I've been to Warrens a few times and as someone with a food allergy eating out can be challenging. The staff at Warrens always take me seriously and are able to answer all of my ingredient related questions. I have never had an allergy issue here! Last night I got the Irish Boss burger and they helped me substitute the cheese and the bun to make it dairy free. Never had an issue with cross contamination either. Great service, great food and always helpful. read more

Gave them a try over the weekend. Huge beer list so you certainly won't get bored with their brews. While their food menu isn't huge they have a solid variety of offerings to choose from ranging from pub-grub (nachos, fried pickles, etc.) to more inspired selections (seared scallops, dates/goat cheese/arugula/balsamic, etc.). I like that they had both small plates and entree options as well. The Hubs & I shared the Nachos with Beef Short Ribs meat added (they have a 3 different meats to choose from & add in if you'd like) and also split the Pulled Pork Bahn Mi sandwich. The nachos were good - nothing spectacular & probably a smaller mound than you would expect to get elsewhere, but tasty and still plenty for 2 to share. The Pulled Pork Bahn Mi sandwich was delicious! Great sauce with just a nice little kick of spice to it topped with an Asian-slaw and served on a good bun along with some fries. They even split the sandwich & fries in the kitchen for us and brought it out on two plates, which was a nice touch. We polished it all off and sharing those 2 things along with a 22 oz. beer filled us up. The service was friendly & attentive. It was Noon on a Saturday and they weren't really busy yet so I'm not sure how the service is when they are busier. All in all I think it's a nice addition for the neighborhood and a good choice to stop in for a bite if you are shopping in the area. read more

We came here for dinner once and enjoyed it very much, and then returned this weekend for a birthday party. The party was 5 stars for service!! Our server was Shawn- a super cool and nice guy who was up on his beer and wine knowledge. He was excellent at describing beers and making suggestions! Our party had about 40 people and he was THE server for the whole event (minus when some of the food came out), and let me tell you, he held it DOWN for us. On top of being so helpful, he was quick to bring back drinks and remembering who got what (even when people kept moving around in the room!). We were so impressed! Give that guy a raise!! The food for the party was good- swedish meatballs (a little salty, IMO), pulled pork sliders (GREAT), chicken quesadillas (LOADED with chicken!), and a cheese flatbread. I would not hesitate to return and would def recommend this place for their party room too. read more

Menu and food outstanding! From the unusual roast beef spring rolls which were huge and I highly recommend to the BBQ and Parmesan wings which exceeded our expectations. Pricing on point.id give the food a 10/10!! Flew in from Dallas to get together with 15 old work friends. Made reservations a month in advance. There was not one item on the menu that wasn't fantastic! With so much competition I wouldn't hesitate in returning. We were never rushed by our sweet waitress Annie. We stayed from 11:30-4:30! Although our waitress was the only waitress available there was opportunity for her to be more readily available without us having to look for her. I had to ask her twice to offer more drinks, and to clear appetizer dishes off the table. When asked to take a group photograph of us she did not return for 30 minutes. Perhaps she was just giving us privacy to catch up with one another but I would say in the future she should be more attentive. I might add there were only 5 other tables occupied so she did not seem overwhelmed. Had she been more attentive and available the added 20% tip would have been enhanced. read more

Unfortunately most of them are right-- came at 11:30 on a Saturday morning, not crowded and plenty of staff but service was still slow. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks and even longerfor food for a party of two. Cheese curds were room temp without a lot of flavor, wife had the Nashville hot chicken burrito which was alright, I had the Reuben which was fine. Inside was tired, needs a coat of paint and take down the lights, the booth we sat in was weathered. Our server was friendly but likely won't be coming back. read more

My friends and I stopped into Warren's Ale House this weekend to grab some drinks after a wedding ceremony and before the reception. We grabbed some space at the bar and got our drink on. I had switched purses so totally forgot my ID and couldn't order which was funny because of my group of about 15, I was the oldest one there. Also, some others in my group did not get carded so that was a bit disappointing and confusing. But whateva! I also overheard one of the runners that went to a table make some comments about my group & this clicking noise when she felt like we were in her way. I get it, we're a big group ordering tons of drinks. Totally get how you're annoyed with us but maybe kindly say "Excuse me" or something of the sort and perhaps not mention us to other patrons. That lady aside, the bartender was nice to our group, quickly got drinks for us and kept us happy. They had a pretty stellar beer list as far as I'm concerned. A bunch of beers on the list I hadn't tried before which was a plus for this beer chick! Not gonna lie though, don't see myself coming back here because of the one jankity employee. read more

I went in there on a Tuesday afternoon about 1 o'clock to have lunch. I seated myself. No one brought me a menu. I waited. Finally got a menu about five minutes later and then about a minute later she came back to ask me what I wanted. I said I'm not ready. When I was done I looked up, waiting, watching the TV looking around and she was over by the bar, drinking some soda and on her phone I waited and waited. She never came over so I left. I've been here multiple times for dinner. Food is always good, with a decent range of appetizers and entrees. Never a bad meal. Burgers are very good. Also tried the the BLT sliders. Different than a standard BLT, but I enjoyed it. The music tends to be just a tad too loud for my liking, but on our most recent visit the weather outside was perfect so we sat outside. Loved it. The beer selection is solid and also a full bar. I just stuck the beer. If they turned the music down a hit, I might give them 5 stars. read more
