302 South is a fast casual burger/brewery joint in Danada town square. My friend and I were deciding on whether to go here or the downtown Wheaton location, we opted here since parking is easier haha. This location can seat about 30 comfortably. It was pretty consistent with customers coming in to dine in and pick up orders throughout our time there. There's 2 sections - bar area with high tops and an area with standard height tables as well. I noticed they also have outdoor seating when the weather permits. Service was quick and the staff members were friendly. After ordering everything was ready to be picked up at the counter window within 10 minutes. I tried the 302 burger and asked it to be cooked super well done. It was very good and the schlick sauce really brings everything together. The tater tots are pretty average. Nothing special, I'd still get them again though. I also tried an Oreo shake which was pretty good too. It was thiccccck and creamy. Pricing is reasonable, I paid $21 with tip for my shake, cheeseburger and side of tots. read more

When I have a taste for a burger, I'm looking for it to satisfy my craving! This place definitely delivered that! It's nice that this location always has parking & it's a fast, simple, & casual spot. The staff was nice, which is always great. The space is nicely spread out with tables and you can sit on the stools as well. During the summer, I've seen people sit outside to enjoy the weather & their food. I got the so-ro burger. A smash burger with pepperjack cheese, pickle, & their schlick sauce. The burger was not dry & it the perfect amount. I also got the tots Wheaton style (grilled onion & schlick sauce). It was a little on the greasy side, but I get it....its expected. Duh. It was fine. Not overly greased. I ordered their seasonal milkshake which was peppermint. It was good! Nice that they still have peppermint on their menu still. My only issue was that there was a hole in the cup & it leaked pretty fast. I had to ask for another cup to put it in. I will definitely be returning....and it's only a few minutes from the house. This is a new location and their second one. I went here for two reasons on Wednesday. One was that I had been watching them remodel the building and getting ready to open this new spot for what seemed to be eternity. Secondly they were doing a promotion for the Peoples Recourse Center which is near and dear to my heart. So the wife and I had to attend! I have to say that the owners here really have their act together. From the moment you arrive you can hear music and order calling from outside. When you get inside the place is very trendy. Good atmosphere with both tall or regular height tables/chairs as well as TV and music playing. My wife and I both had the trademark "302 Burger". Her a single and I a double. Both were absolutely delicious! It contains 1/4 lb Wheaton Meat Co. custom blend, 'Merican cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, & Schlick sauce. The sauce is good but could be a little stronger in the flavor department. We also had an order of onion rings which were amazing! The best we have had in long time. Cooked in an awesome tasting batter and to perfection. She had a chocolate shake which was out of this world. And I had one of their million beer selections Montucky Cold Snacks. And believe it or not it was only $4.00. And it wasn't bad at all. The owner stopped by our table two times to see how things were, if we had questions and to tell us some history and future plans. So happy 302 has a location in south wheaton! This spot is so perfect for this restaurant! Outdoor seating, ok to have a dog with you, outdoor fireplace, next to Bundt cakes and frozen yogurt! Love the open feel and indoor and outdoor seating is perfect. Umbrellas in the tables outside for the really hot days + Reasonable prices for burgers and fries. Plenty of beer to pick from. The fries are not to share, small but just the right amount for 1 person. If you like allot, get 2 orders. I get the impossible burger, super thin, great bun, reasonable price. You pay extra for fries. But the cost of the sandwich is ok to justify. There are other trendy places charging $18 for the sandwich only plus cost of fries very close in proximity. We got the funnel fries. You had me at funnel. They are not to share either. Don't do it. It's small, but just enough for 1 person. The giant pretzel was both giant and delicious. We really liked the mustard and schlick sauce that it came with. The cheese was ok. We couldn't finish it all and brought the rest home. The 302 burgers were fine and had nice fresh ingredients but I felt like they forgot to season them? The meat itself was very bland. Like begging for a grain of salt or pepper or something. And the sauce that was so good was barely on the burger. If you're not going to season the meat you should be generous with your delicious sauce. I think if they seasoned the meat or they put more sauce it would have been better. The fries were just standard fries. We might give it another try one day and maybe just not get the burger. read more

I've been there before and everything has been excellent (even the hilariously expensive pretzel). Last night the burger was under seasoned and there was hardly any sauce which overall made the burger both dry and tasteless. Tater tots were swell tho. Great place central to Danada Square in south Wheaton. They have a small menu with a few sandwiches - a couple burgers, sandwiches, fries, and a pretty good beer and liquor selection. What I liked about this place is the burger I got was simple with no frills. And that's what made it delicious. Quick service, the burger was cooked perfectly. My wife got their Impossible burger, which was also tasty. The place keeps it simple, but they also execute with precision. We really like 302 South. The burgers are just how we like them - not too thick, very tasty, good buns, good toppings. The fries and onion rings are also good. And the best part is the price! Very reasonable and that is appreciated! Plus - and this is big - they do an amazing Impossible Burger as an option! Couple things, though. They need more business at lunchtime - my online/call in orders are prepared too quickly if that is possible. I like to just run in and pick it up, but they are preparing these orders in like a minute, which means my food will sit - even if it takes me only 15 minutes from making the call to reaching the restaurant. When I arrived, there was not a soul in the store and the staff looked bored. Also, skimping a bit on the fries. One more thing - just a suggestion - keep the strawberry shake all year round instead of swapping it out for peppermint. I want this place to make it, so we will continue to come here - but business needs some beefing up! read more

I came in today based on a Facebook advertisement and was promptly told that item is not available (misprint on Facebook ad clarified later) however I ordered anyway but I did notice the menu is different than the other 302 there are things at the regular location that this location does not have such as bowls of chili. This is one of my favorite restaurants and do an amazing job accommodating food allergies. To start off they are peanut and tree nut free, which is amazing because it hard for to find safe restaurants. I brought a friend here with a gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate her as well. I come here twice every Wednesday to get doles whips. I typically get lunch here when I come too and then get a dole whip after work as well. I have sent about 30 people here so far for the dole whips and haven't gotten one complaint. Every Wednesday at my work we have Hawaiian Wednesday because of their dole whip Wednesday and then we tell all of our employees and coworkers to go there for a dole whip for our themed day too. So far I have tried their chicken strips, chicken sandwich, all their burgers, their fries, tots, and onion rings, and of course the Dole Whip. My friends' have tried the salad and hot dog and loved that as well. All the food is great and I highly recommend this place. The staff is always so nice too. Also try their Schlick sauce, it is my favorite and I recommended that to everyone I sent their as well and everyone loves it! read more

This is a cool down home place to hang out. Open air dining with a patio and water fountain. Has a nice piece of ASTRO turf outside that provides the kids a place to play. Good food, great beer selection and just great people all around. I cannot forget to mention the whiskey tastings every third Thursday of the month. read more
